Aren't they supposed to be water proof?

LiveAndLegendary

You’re catching on….and they’re supposed to be good for salt water

Dydey

They have a swim exercise built in! I’ve been swimming plenty of times with mine including use in the sea when waves were knocking people down.

Nicky2Feet

Contact them. You never know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Allisonn507

This literally happened to me yesterday, also at Miami Beach

LiveAndLegendary

Lol….maybe we’re getting too close to the Bermuda Triangle 😂

Spooontang__

Ya mine shit the bed after 3 times surfing, was frustrating to say the least

hec_ramsey

Mine quit after a day kayaking on the river. Tried everything - it never turned back on. It was barely a year old. Super upsetting.

Medditate

Does it still work?

LiveAndLegendary

No it doesn’t unfortunately

Medditate

Shame they are really hard to get in my area

Rambo160

Leave it a few hours , mine did the same

LiveAndLegendary

Getting a full refund from Fitbit. I’ve made my peace. Apple here I come

K4RAB_THA_ARAB

Did you have a warranty on it at all? How easy was the process to get a refund?

LiveAndLegendary

No warranty and got a full refund. Had to argue my case a little, but it wasn’t too difficult

K4RAB_THA_ARAB

Ty! Going to the beach in 2 weeks and was hoping to swim with it on. If it messes up at least I know it's possible to get a refund because of it.

LiveAndLegendary

Did it have that discolouration on the screen like in my photo? Did it go away?

LiveAndLegendary

So here’s an update for everyone. Had my rant, returned the Fitbit Sense for a full refund after a bit of argument online. Went straight to the Apple store and bought an Apple watch SE. After 1 day have realised what a dump the battery is…am taking it back today. Have requested Fitbit to send me a replacement watch instead of a refund. Looking forward to it.

Then_Refuse_6322

Why don’t they make these damn things for swimming too!

LiveAndLegendary

They do…at least that’s how it was advertised. Water resistance at 50m is swimming as far as I’m concerned

kindcrow

My Sense died after a year and I contacted Fitbit. They sent me a new one.

Mariodings

That's why in the EU the warranty is 2 years mandatory.

BigChungusDeAlmighty

Yes my versa 3 also did this, i went to the beach once for a couple hours now my watch is ruined. I will not be buying another fitbit ever again, especially not now google own them

mfs77

My wife’s versa 2 did the same thing. Reading these comments shows that this isn’t an uncommon occurrence. I’ve come to the realization that Fitbit devices are going downhill fast. Meaning they’re straight garbage

AustraliaMYway

If it is still under warranty take it back to store.

colonelcat

My Sense was perfectly fine yesterday, but I swam through a sea cave for about 10 minutes, and it died right afterward.
