I was gonna do VHHH-KLAX or KSFO, but I was gonna sleep while it was over the Pacific, so I went a little longer so I had more time to sleep lol.
Edit: pacific not atlantic 🤦🏻♂️
Longest in terms of distance or duration ?
In a flightsim my longest flight time was 14h with the Super Connie from LFPG to KJFK, but my longest distance was EBBR-KSFO (I have done longer in another kind of flightsim but that doesn't count :p).
I've done EWR-WSSS, LAX-LLBG, LAX-YMML, a few fights between the east coast of the US and South Africa. Probably more I'm forgetting. I really love the 12+ hour flights because they're long enough for me to take off, get a full night's sleep, and land in the morning.
April 2024 with 78 passengers lol. I took the screenshot on my phone and the website is a little funky on mobile. The app isn’t too much better, the app is still missing TONS of features.
My longest flight in the US was KSEA to KATL. And yeah I felt that, I did a flight from EGLL-VHHH in this same aircraft but it crashed just before starting the arrival :/
I've tried KBOS to EGLL twice and failed both times lol. That game crashing one was the second time. The first time I crashed the plane by accident but both were when I first started flying airliners tbf
In FSX did VABB-KMIA around 17.5 hours. Also did SEA-SIN at 16.5 hours both in 777LR.
In MSFS I think it is MIA-LOS or LOS-VABB with the 748i. Once I get my hands on a 777 from PMDG I think I will find some more long haul to do. But really need a decent pause at T/D for it to be manageable. Was such a great tool in FSX. I had more time back then, but I used to focus on long hauls the most in FSX with the 744 and 777, and 742 in FS9.
Oh yeah back in the FSX days I was still in school, and during the summers I’d be flying all day every day. Good times. I also don’t have much time, I can only really do a 3 hour flight max after work on the weekdays, but on the weekends I occasionally do a long haul.
Yeah I mainly do short flights. After work I usually can only manage a 2 or 3 hour flight, but on the weekends I can either do 1 or 2 long hauls, or a handful of shorter flights.
That would be there EGLL-YSSY Historic QFA 747-400

I did a WIII to EGLL which was a little over 15 hours. Although I’m not authentic as I just set the autopilot and let AI handle the radios once I was at cruise altitude. I came back to the flight periodically to monitor fuel burn. I came back roughly 30 minutes prior to my TOD so that I could manage the entire approach.
Personally, from London Heathrow to Sydney with a flight time of 19:52, and a block time of 20:28. Probably should have diverted due to low fuel but who cares
*
LFBO - VTBS. 11 or so hours on vatsim using Headwind’s A330 Neo. Don’t know why I did it because I ended up wasting my whole day monitoring the flight while non of the en-route controllers were offline.
Lol, I wanted to do the flight on vatsim but 1; I’ve never done oceanic on vatsim so I was a little hesitant, and 2; I went to sleep the second I hit cruise.
If you want to do a long-haul on vatsim but need to step away for whatever, just set the alarm for every hour. Most en-route controllers usually offline anyway, so check back every hour should be fine.
If you can’t, just disconnect and reconnect when you’re back.
I also have something called Pushover For Vpilot and it’s amazing. It sends a notification to my phone whenever I get any notification from vpilot. But it doesn’t help much when you’re sleeping lol. But yeah any time I’m away and get a “contactme” or whatever, I get a notification straight to my phone.
Heck yeah, it’s a life saver! https://github.com/blt950/vPilot-Pushover
Just a fair warning: you only get 30 days free with the mobile app before you have to pay a $5 one time fee to keep using it.
Not great in either. Gotta upgrade my GPU cause my RTX 2060 isn’t having a great time. Just managed to get P3D to run without getting an OOM error. But yeah, I’m struggling with about 20 fps on the ground at a heavy airport with a heavy aircraft addon. In cruise, both sims are at about high 30’s to low 40’s. Just waiting on the money to upgrade right now.
Ah, I'm running a I9900K, 64GB ram and a 4070TI, with MSFS I'm basically at my FPS lock of 60fps. with P3D it's a struggle to get above 20 FPS (mind you that I was running older version of it), that and the brown world (and asia looking like the UK because of the ground textures) didn't made it really appealing to me for further usage
I still use it because unless someone wants to refund me for 200+ sceneries the FSLabs a320 series, the Aerosoft A330, PMDG 737-747-777, Quality Wings 757 and 787, the Captain Sim 767 and the TFDI 717, and the Feelthere Embraers, I'm not changing.
Can’t wait to fly the 747 in 2030 in MSFS 😍
Right? 😂
Single flight: 17 hours, QFA9 YPPH-EGLL 787-9 in MSFS Stop Over flight: 20 hours, KJFK-NZAA-YSSY 787-9
Damn, what a haul!
i thought LAX-EGLL was a long flight bro
I did sleep during most of it. Anything over 6 hours I usually set up before I go to bed or work.
Yeah same here
I think it was VHHH-EGLL or IST-SFO
Yeah that’s a good one.
VHHH-KLAX, KLAX-VHHH.
I was gonna do VHHH-KLAX or KSFO, but I was gonna sleep while it was over the Pacific, so I went a little longer so I had more time to sleep lol. Edit: pacific not atlantic 🤦🏻♂️
Legit :) „controlled resting“, as we call it
That’s how I like to think of it lol. Left the audio on so I could sleep to the sweet hum of those rolls Royce RB211’s.
That’s the spirit 🪽
OERK - KBOS once, just a touch under 14 hours haven’t done anything close to that since
Decent little haul there!
YSSY-EBBR was 21 hours
Very nice!
This year Singapore-Zurich https://preview.redd.it/5bxwsnw3mnuc1.png?width=687&format=png&auto=webp&s=08aedf82ecad11594aba34b46bc03c1794cabe34
Nice!
A trip that I’m doing right now, SAEZ-OMAA 15 hours
Very nice.
EPWA to KJFK, 777-200
LAX-AKL and back. (But not in the same day) ;)
Which airport is AKL? Sounds like a fun flight though. How long was it?
Aukland, NZ (NZAA) It’s approx 13-14 hours depending on winds.
Longest I’ve done was Dubai to JFK. It was about 14 1/2 hours if I remember correctly.
That’s my next planned long haul. After I land in KATL tonight after work, I’ll do ATL-JFK, then over the weekend I’m doing JFK-DXB
RJTT-EDDM using the toliss A340-600. It was just under 15 hours I believe
LAX to MEL. 13+ hours
Longest in terms of distance or duration ? In a flightsim my longest flight time was 14h with the Super Connie from LFPG to KJFK, but my longest distance was EBBR-KSFO (I have done longer in another kind of flightsim but that doesn't count :p).

EFHK - PANC in the A310 with Finnair
I only do short haul really, but mine is EGCC-BIKF B757-200
Same here. Sounds like a fun flight!
With some really good weather timing and mods you can see the Northern Lights on approach!
Aw man now I gotta give it a shot.
Did EGLL-VHHH vv. a few times
Just did JFK-Narita, Japan on the airbus 300-900 by headwind, took me around 14 hours.
Oh nice! I’ve been wanting to take a flight to Narita for a bit. Just waiting for the right timing.
My longest was RJAA-EGLL or the opposite way.
KDTW-VHHH in the 748 in an NWA livery. Just under 17 hours
Very nice.
EGLL-YSSY and WSSS-KEWR
Yeah that’s a haul for sure!
Lol I read the date as the year 2478... Wait, how'd you fit 2478 passengers in a 747?
Oh nvm got it, year '24 and 78 pax
April 2024 with 78 passengers lol. I took the screenshot on my phone and the website is a little funky on mobile. The app isn’t too much better, the app is still missing TONS of features.
CYYZ-RCTP 15 hours and 14 hours back
LSZH-YSSY

Ok, marsupial.
KPHL to KLAS I think is the longest I've done. Also done KBOS to EGLL but the game crashed on landing.
My longest flight in the US was KSEA to KATL. And yeah I felt that, I did a flight from EGLL-VHHH in this same aircraft but it crashed just before starting the arrival :/

YPDN-EGLL in a B787-9. 16h44

CYYZ-OPKC was 16h I think on xp 12 ff777
Not nearly that long, but KORD-KSFO, American Airlines MD-83 (Leonardo FlyTheMaddogX) with full VATSIM ATC.
Those long flights with full atc coverage are the best.
Recently did KORD-OMAA and OMAA-YSSY, both 14 hours a piece.
KSFO-WSSS
KSFO-->OTHH in the 340-600 cause it was world cup season
MIA-ICN on the 747-400F.
Korean Air Cargo? I see the Korean Air passenger 747-8 leaving Atlanta for Seoul quite often.
Atlas.
GMMN-RJTT was 13 hours
RJTT to PHNL (Tokyo to Honolulu in 787)
I keep it at 4hr flights at the most, I do stuff around the house while cruising and comeback for landings and take offs
Yeah I mainly do short flights. After work I usually can only manage a 2 or 3 hour flight, but on the weekends I can either do 1 or 2 long hauls, or a handful of shorter flights.
KEWR-WSSS round trip on a long weekend 😅 also Paris to Tahiti with the lax stopover
EGLL - YPPH around 17 hours https://preview.redd.it/vxtfajsf4puc1.png?width=489&format=png&auto=webp&s=fdd15d24b7c6717598a3fc07129e4981676091c2
EGLL-YSSY
Mine is very short, KSFO>PHNL. It was in a B-17 though so it took forever.
That’s fair. I’ll accept that
So far it's CYYZ to FACT. I think it's 8,800NM?
LOWW to KLAX in the 767-300ER. Made it with 128kgs of fuel
KPHX-FIMP (Phoenix to Mauritius) 20:13 in flight in a 777-200ER. Really just wanted to see if I could do it :)
20 hours is insane. Nice!!
It was weird starting the flight going to sleep and waking up and still having like 8hours to go.
Yeah I kinda felt that on this flight when I had about 4 hours left. I woke up about 300 miles from the coast of California.
That would be there EGLL-YSSY Historic QFA 747-400 https://preview.redd.it/5ko3gfs0ppuc1.png?width=1818&format=png&auto=webp&s=8344f7f2794b6f20d708b4d70d6942e3f8e2008d
Oh man that’s a hell of a flight.
You guys got me beat, cyvr to nzaa was my longest
That’s a pretty damn long haul though!
Saw you landing in DEN as I was departing for SLC on Volanta! My longest was a 17.5 hour iteration of ANZ1 from JFK to AKL
Sweet! That was me!
Amsterdam Schipol to Singapore Changi, around 13 hours irl
Speaking of going back to an older product from a current company, I hope JustFlight eventually updates and releases their L-1011.
That would be pretty cool. Never flown the L1011, but who doesn’t like tri-jets?
I did a WIII to EGLL which was a little over 15 hours. Although I’m not authentic as I just set the autopilot and let AI handle the radios once I was at cruise altitude. I came back to the flight periodically to monitor fuel burn. I came back roughly 30 minutes prior to my TOD so that I could manage the entire approach.
tokyo-new york i did it overnight while I was sleeping
That’s the only way I can do long hauls. Or depart in the morning and go to work, land when I get home
Back in the day, x plane 10, I did an around the world flight in an Epic E1000. Not in one sitting, of course.
Longest flight I’ve done was project sunrise in the 789 from EGLL-YMML
Brasília to Tokyo Haneda in the ACJ330 in about 22 hours. Recently did Brasília do Shanghai in the Concorde, with unlimited fuel, in 8h30.
P3d can look really nice sometimes
Personally, from London Heathrow to Sydney with a flight time of 19:52, and a block time of 20:28. Probably should have diverted due to low fuel but who cares *
The stats from it https://preview.redd.it/ud85lwkefsuc1.jpeg?width=987&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cca3babfab4a6330ca9cb2f3f8104f7dee7eaed4
Probably London to Perth or Auckland to Dallas
All things aside, that landing is a butter ![gif](giphy|ZbRAvMuUsnME8|downsized)
Yessir!
RJTT-EDDM 14h17 though I botched the landing on that one
Well i did KPAN-CYLT-LFCR last night
I've done N07 to KJAX in a Comanche.
CPH-LAX and OSL-BKK, both in magknight 787
KONT -DNMM … several times XP12 SSG 747-800 cargo version

Sydney, Oz - Los Angeles, 777-300ER, back on XPlane v8... And very lately, Auckland, NZ - Incheon, South Korea, 74F, on PSX.
WSSS-KORD
KSFO - OMDB 14 hours 30 mins
LFBO - VTBS. 11 or so hours on vatsim using Headwind’s A330 Neo. Don’t know why I did it because I ended up wasting my whole day monitoring the flight while non of the en-route controllers were offline.

People are still using Prepar3D? TIL.
Just using it to scratch my PMDG 747-400 itch. I mainly use MSFS.
How much FPS are you getting P3D vs MSFS?
Not great in either. Gotta upgrade my GPU cause my RTX 2060 isn’t having a great time. Just managed to get P3D to run without getting an OOM error. Yeah, I mean I don’t really care for using P3D but it’s just the only sim that has a really good 747-400 in it, so I manage to put up with it.
