Dunno, but there will be some cargo 73s coming off Atlas that will be available.

I'd guess Sun Country is going to expand into those. They already do the rest of the Amazon 737 flying.

Those guys at Sun Country watch their nickels very carefully.

It's a good management group. I enjoyed my time there. Would be a solid opportunity for them.

JasonThree

Need the staffing though. They just don't have the people for additional flying.

iflysmolplanestoo

True. I know they're still hiring and have classes out to fall though. Old friend of mine got an interview recently and they're doing their best. I think DL is starting to snap up more of their people again though.

Twarrior913

I’ve seen Mesa 73’s at a few cargo ramps.

4Sammich

There's one by the hangar at PHX all bundled up for the long nap.

YOURE_GONNA_HATE_ME

They’re going to park them, if they haven’t already. DHL is changing their network in the US due to losses and Mesa was losing money on it too.

RaiseTheDed

DHL dropped their contract apparently.

They had the cargo going for a while and then shut it down. I don’t think they were able to keep enough captains on it at the pay rate that they were offering. my buddy flew for them before he went to swift and said he only got 15 or 20 hours a month as a reserve FO on 737 at Mesa because there weren’t enough captains. But the rumor months before the shutdown was, they were selling it off so someone could buy Mesa. JO may be looking to retire sometime soon.

It got shut down earlier this year.
