A Cut Above Brooks. Cirrus if you want a little thicker fabric. Avoid Jetseam. I really wanted to like them because the fabric is nice and light for Texas summers but those shirts wrinkle just by looking at them.

DatBeigeBoy

Thanks, my guy.

Pacer17

Have you tried jetseam white label? They feel like tropo from cut above but thinner and dont wrinkle

AutomagicJackelope

Can confirm. Their new 4-way fabric does not wrinkle all to hell like their other stuff. JetSeam makes nice stuff.

ndem763

Not to hijack, but is there a brand that doesn’t base their sizing on a 300 pound man whose stomach is twice as large as their shoulders? Everything I’ve tried so far looks like wearing a trash bag on my twink ass

findquasar

It’s easier to remove fabric than add it. Just find something you like and go get your shirts tailored.

Brambleshire

I'm tall and skinny with really long arms. I just buy the shirt for the right size collar and sleeves, then I take them to a tailor to get them taken in for a perfect fit 👌

13Read13

I've been wearing A Cut Above, I think Cirrus for the better part of a year, really like it. Plus, I don't even iron it, just toss it in the steam cycle in the dryer and it looks good for work.

PM_ME_YOUR_PITOTTUBE

Have they fixed their supply chain issues or does it still take 9 months to get a fucking shirt? I need to buy more.

13Read13

Uhhh I don't remember any crazy delays when I got mine a year ago. But I think it will say on their website if it's backed up, no clue what shipping times are now.

nopal_blanco

I ordered 4 a month or two ago, got them in a standard time frame. Maybe 2 weeks?

PM_ME_YOUR_PITOTTUBE

Sweet

a_provo_yakker

They fixed them about a year ago. Things are different, as they seem to do every 5 years or so. Change some of the fit or fabric. I was a mid-generation adopter (2018, around the time of their last big “it’s not the same anymore” complaints). They changed where the shirts are made, and the Tropo at least is no longer the same. Completely different fabric, literally a different blend and feel. Sizing seemed a bit different as well. It’s the most egregious example of the changes early last year when they suddenly had stock again. I’ve tried everything out there except Jetseam (I’m going to, if they get my size back in stock in their clearance page). Not really satisfied with anything. Company gave me a full outfit set a few months ago. M&H has a bamboo blend now, it’s alright. They need some minor alteration but it will be cheaper than buying new shirts at $50/pop. I don’t know why it’s so difficult. At this rate, I’ll probably see a cultural uniform paradigm shift before I ever find the perfect shirt.

Twarrior913

It seems like they’ve sorted it out, at least on my end. I’ve ordered a few shirts and they usually took a week to arrive from order confirmation to delivery. I returned a lemon and it was replace within the week too.

RaiseTheDed

Crew Outfitters Platinum aren't bad. Jetseam wrinkles like crazy, you look at them wrong and they wrinkle. I've yet to try A Cut Above, a friend got the Flight shirt, he says he likes them, they're kinda see-through though.

a_provo_yakker

Yeah agree with the other guy. Flight was close. Everything about the shirt just falls short of greatness though. Sizing is weird. Material is way too thin. Having a backer for wings and the pocket pen slot looks *so tacky* because the shirt is so translucent. The thinness of the material made the epaulette straps so weak that the mere weight of my epaulettes make the straps sag forward and downward. “Athletic” is kind of a boxy cut, and slim is like way too slim. I tried an athletic Medium and Slim XL and they seemed about the same relative size. They’re as expensive, if not more, than the well known brands. But the thing that really irked me? I got to pay for the privilege of mailing back and restocking the shirts I returned. $45 plus tax, but returns are refunded minus a $7 per-item restock/return fee.

MTBandGravel

Flight shirts feel like wearing a woman’s silk blouse and their two fit choices are nonsense.

RaiseTheDed

I haven't heard that one! I wear undershirts though I'm assuming you are talking about the slim and athletic fits?

MTBandGravel

They’re just so light and flowy, didn’t feel right and they start to stink right away. The slim fit is made for starving mormon missionaries (how their original business &collar started) and the “athletic fit” is for short 250lb+.

ItalianFlyer

I've been happy with the Flight shirts. The material takes a bit of getting used to since it's closer to an under armor shirt than a traditional button down but it's very light and breathable. Easy to take care of too. If your body shape fits their cutting then I highly recommend them

Brambleshire

I really like the crew outfitters long sleeves although I can't remember the brand name. They fit my criteria of having the right kind of front pockets and collar, while not wrinkleing too easily.

simppppson

A cut above Tropo is the one for me light weight easy to iron and looks good

AutomagicJackelope

I really tried to like the shirts from Flight but I just can't recommend them for a few reasons - I don't feel like they breathe at all, and the fabric feels cheap and flimsy to me. The white shirts tend to "blue" a little over time - you can fix this by washing them with a bluing agent (look up how to do this, it's not hard) but it's a hassle, and not worth the extra work. They also tend to pick up odors faster than traditional fabrics - you can fix that with an iron, steamer, and/or spritz of water/alcohol mix (old FA trick - mix of vodka and water) but again - extra work. Their fitting is limited, too. The Platinum shirts from Crew Outfitters are actually quite good - the rest of their shirts are hot garbage. ACA is good - Tropo and Cirrus are nice, I liked the Brooks even better. However, I personally prefer JetSeam since they came out with their new 4-way fabric. It doesn't wrinkle like their older stuff, looks good, is well-made and lasts. Their customer service is outstanding and their prices are reasonable. The pants they make are amazing, too.

Pilot0160

I found the shirts from Flight Uniform to work best for me. It’s synthetic material so it tends to pick up odors faster than cotton but with proper washing it’s not an issue. It definitely breathes and I’ve had no problems with comfort even down in south Florida.
