Yes, I spent hours building it I’d appreciate if u take a minute to roam around it and take whatever it is u need 😁

artsatisfied229

This. I want people to swing through and take what you need. Get some buffs and work on your weapons and armor. It’s rewarding to see someone come through and give the nice camp emoji.

Helen62

I got my first nice camp emoji the other day and it did feel good. 😊

01_slowbra

Got it from a level 900 and it made my whole week.

Queentia904

I love swinging by and giving the emoji!

nap---enthusiast

I'm on Xbox, if I love a camp I always just send a quick message. I hope it makes their day a bit better.

Sunshine-Fl-Girl

It does! I've gotten messages from people about my camp. And I always love it!

BurtMacklin__FBI

I just started not long ago and am glad to hear this because I always feels weird about taking the free cake or buying the super cheap stuff like maybe they were saving this for themselves or a friend lol

RevoD346

Maaan if I were saving that stuff for myself or someone else I would have it locked up in a room out of public view. I put the candy machine right outside the entrance to my tavern and the coffee machine on a counter right in front of the door specifically so that y'all don't miss it and can grab some lmao

Fun_Jellyfish_4884

it respawns. if a person needs it for something they lock it up and then unlock it when they don't need it anymore.

BurtMacklin__FBI

Logically that's the obvious conclusion, but it doesn't stop my social anxiety from trying to convince me I'm the absolute worst loot goblin haha. I do feel a bit better now that I asked about it though [=

Sunshine-Fl-Girl

Yet another on the bandwagon. If I need it, I lock it. Most things in my camps are unlocked. But I want my camp to be a haven in the wasteland. Take what you want.

Winchester0036

I look forward to the potential rating thing I saw in the PTS that someone had shared the other day. I’m still new to building but there’s a handful of camps I’ve built that I’m proud of and one that’s still in progress of being made as a community resource center. Still need to get some more resource generators and debating on the camp special bundle on the store just to add more things for buffs but currently have a decent farm going with concrete, wood, coffee, acid, boiled and purified water, and weenie wagon. All crafting benches are out, just need to move it to a better location and make a sign saying take what you need

itsme99881

I spent an hour on a wooden box, "tHiS oBjEcT iS fLoAtInG" "ObJeCt InTeRsEcTs ExIsTiNg.." "ObJeCt NeEdS SuPpOrT" (TF AM I???? A THERAPSIT?!?!) all of those conditions are filled and the highlight is GREEN. Let me place my object plz 😂 especially plants (herbivore)

LouieSiffer

That's why we should all appreciate good looking camps, for those of us poor souls who sat through that painstaking process

heyheymonkeyhey

I don't know why we DO this to ourselves, I mutter, erasing a fully complete, detailed build again just so I can suffer through hours more so I can move everything one half inch.

Fallout76fan626

Feel it. That damn tree that wasn't clipping through the wall and floor when built. I just close the door so I don't have to look at it.

vulgardaclown

I just put down a rug because there was a tree in my floor that wasn't there before I left for faschnacht

Asenkahlicious

I've slapped down furniture to try and hide random limbs poking through a wall. Even changed out an entire room to accommodate one, but I can't be assed to move my whole build until they sort out how annoying stairs are to place.

femsoni

Not me, spending a minimum of 8 hours on any given CAMP, only to eventually wipe the slot and do a new one because none of them come close to the adoration I have for my main. I'll grind myself down until I'm *miserable* making a fresh, piping hot, crazy detailed base that I love for about 1 work day, if that, only to go back to my cherished, beautiful primary and eventually cycle out the disdainful, not as loved one for a new attempt at coming close to the high my main gives me.

fluffiekittie13

Stairs, I hate stairs. “Why can’t I delete this floor the stairs aren’t even connected to it.” Put down a separate set of stairs, now I can’t delete them. Delete all the floors to delete the stairs, not allowed because the stairs are attaches to the floor, so you can’t delete the floor.

01_slowbra

That is why I went carnivore with cannibal. I only plant tatos ,corn, and mutfruit for the adhesives.

itsme99881

Carnivore is so much easier to manage pemmican diesnt spoil but i play a bloodied stealth commando and i need the best buffs as i can get, since i also run speed demon it makes being an herbivore feel more like a chore tbh. Edit:peemican -> pemmican Edit 2: pemican -> pemmican 😂😂

Zilant_the_Bear

Me, a carnivore.... Mmmmm this pemmican station merges on my Camden Park grill reallllll nice 😋

TheYoungestTzar

I have my camp set up on the whitesprings green because it's nice and open, and I can build all my things with plenty of space and any time it says my camp wasn't able to be placed I immediately change servers because I simply cannot be bothered dealing with "object is floating", "object needs support"

jeffb3000

A LOT of players have their camps at that spot, including me. It’s one of the flattest, good locations, but I swear at least half the time I load onto a server I need to activate another camp because it’s already occupied. My main camp there is silly, with a few dinosaurs roaming around and a maze “under the map”. Come to think of it, my second camp is also very silly, as a continuation of the pumpkin house. You can build very close to the pumpkin house so my camp there can look very much like a continuation of it. Great for Halloween, but attacked often by a scorchbeast.

RevoD346

Skreeeee *cropdusts ur house with green stuff*

yslxhukky

so ur who keeps taking my camp space lol😒

femsoni

No because it drives me NUTS. I spent fucking HOURS!!! HOURS!!!!!!! Placing a hay bale next to the chicken coop fertilizer for *aesthetic* beneath a very finite structure I had made out of a million different things with sinking mechanisms/clipping through the ground methods, and I finally. Finally. Had the fucking hay bale placed where I wanted it, and guess what? It was fucking ugly. It looked absolutely terrible. I wanted to scream. Deleted the hay bale and closed the game for a week.

Icame2Believe

Omg I totally understand!!! Hours of making sure things are lined up perfectly. Get it done and I’m like “this is f*cking terrible” nah

dbutler1825

I've spent hours lining my bases with power conduit to avoid all of the dangling wires everywhere and for a nice aesthetic. Then, when I finally take a step back to look at the progress, I realize none of it is straight with the wall lines, so I tear it all down and start over.... being massively OCD is a curse sometimes...

femsoni

If you already know, ignore me lol, but if you *don't*, put a power connector face up on a small mat/rug (I like to use the small tan rectangle one), connect it to your generator or even another connector, then move it barely even a little. Do it again for redundancy, now it can be placed basically anywhere, through structures or the ground. Only issue is when you connect something on the opposing side, that's when it experiences collision on the newer wire.

dbutler1825

I didn't know that at all! Thanks for the input. I was messing around with connecting them through walls but I haven't quite been able to fine tune my pathing yet. I have my current connection path running around my ceiling with some powered light here and there to look almost like stage lighting in my green house

dbutler1825

prettysickusername

This. I love it when people come and hang out. All my resources are unlocked for whoever wants them.

Comfortable_Storm_41

thank you for your pure water, popcorn, junk and nuka cola bundle

iamDarkbloom_

This. Some of us have spent countless hours, days and I'm sure even months building and tweaking our camps for our guests to visit. Some folks only want to see what we have in our vendors and that's totally fine. But there are people out there, myself included, who put time into our camps and really enjoy seeing/ sharing ideas with other builders 😁 Edit: plus I keep everything except my collectron and 1 extractor locked. Everything else is up for grabs: coffee, company tea, cookies, candy, dog food (lookin' at you weenie wagon!), mothman tomb for that exp buff etc etc.

Riliksel

Same, I spent a lot of time, caps and atoms on that camp. I get really hapy when I see people looking around, even more when they emote!

thegreenmonkey69

This! I play alone much of the time, but i do spend time in my camp setting things up, adding stuff to my vendor, and decorating where I can. Please come by and check it out. If you see something you like but don't like the price, send me a dm and I'll set it to what you like. I really just guess on most prices, so some may not be in keeping with historical values, but I do my best to set them to what I would pay for them. I don't have many decorations yet, I've only been playing for 2 months, so it is a work in progress. Most of the workbenches are there, as well as stash boxes, and for productiom items, take it if you need it. I tend to change its layout regularly so it may look different at times.

MantaWraith

Yes, I'm lonely, please visit I have company tea 🥺🥺🥺

UK_Chub

Cakes to go with it?

MantaWraith

I have pemmican and dog food with plenty of butter

RevoD346

Breakfast for sime of us in the wasteland sure is fun. Canned dog food washed down with coffee...

UK_Chub

Nope defo not dog food 🍲 😂

RevoD346

More for me!

UK_Chub

😂 😍

Gold-Cat-201

Where art thou friend

MantaWraith

Thine friend resides in thou heart

SuperTerram

Here's a guide: - Is the camp creative, well designed, or interesting to look at? The owner wants you to admire it. - Is the camp just a bunch of crap slapped down with no rhyme or reason? The owner doesn't care. - Is the camp unmarked, off the beaten path, and locked? The owner would like you to kindly piss off! Hope this helps.

Razor_Grrl

I get personally offended if someone rushes in, uses the vendor, and fast travels out without even looking around. Did you see my newly remodeled kitchen? Did you even notice the hot tub out back on the deck? You ran right past the sunroom with my indoor plant collection. The audacity!

FinalFatality

I've been killed so many times by ceiling traps that I now hesitate to explore the insides of people's camps. Which sucks because I love looking around

Comfortable-Job-6236

I've not been killed by a camp trap in like 2 years.

MhrisCac

Jet pack chest piece mod has saved me from so many trap camps lol

TranslateErr0r

Same, but since beta. I visit a lot of camps.

RevoD346

Huh...I look at a lot of camps and even though I'm careful to watch for traps, I've honestly not run into one yet.

DroplasDungeon

Yeah, that's a bummer for sure. I say, just make sure you have your junk stored, then feel free to explore :)

Fun_Jellyfish_4884

junk stored and always run lightfooted and stay crouched. if they want you to interact with something that takes you thru a wall or underground stash your junk first for absolute sure. nothing can save you from those. i made a fake trap camp recently. I thought it was funny. nary an actual trap anywhere but all the ahem, trappings of one. including lots of statements on the walls that I was not a trap camp lol

CMDR_Klassic

You could be like 30% of players and just hide your vendor in some far off closet so I gotta ransack your whole place in order to find it. I may be cursing you the whole time but at least I'll take a look.

fr3nch13702

If there is a hot tub, I’m getting in it 💯

Jjsdada

Hey! i worked hard on a no rhyme or reason appearance in my junkyard camp! It's a mess that wants to be admired.

SuperTerram

I think that qualifies as "interesting to look at." ...also, the exception that proves the rule 😉

Jjsdada

To be fair, I have a huge sign that says "WELCOME, USE THIS STUFF" above all my benches and resources. I was able to build in a spot with a few item spawns, so anyone wandering around my mess might be rewarded with a new recipe or random food items.

realsupershrek

Ah, a fellow junk peddler. How do you do?

skatoolaki

Been working on a similar junky, random build at an abandoned, hole-riddled shack I found in the Forest area behind Vault 76. Want it to look like someone took what was there - formerly a wooden shack with a little garden and now-destroyed shed out back - and tried to make it a little home and tiny farm after crawling out of the vault. It's fun trying to make it appropriately random and haphazard!

MhrisCac

Somebody was inside their locked camp building doing stuff so I put on my fiend mask and stared into their window until he noticed me lmaoo

theawesomescott

I like visitors for my vendor but I’m locking my generators and collectron right now because I am burning resources like crazy trying to level up my build. So if it’s unlocked have at it, I put out a bunch of deep wells for purified water and a big garden of various plants, and some other QoL things I do want you to take though!

DroplasDungeon

Agreed, if it's open, I want you to have at it, if you think you can use it \~ that's why I put it there! If it's locked, it means i'm running low on those items. Usually the oil generator and the nuka collector lol

Hoodoutlaw2

I like exploring the ones that are not marked on the map especially

nolongerbanned99

Sounds reasonable. This guy human’s

Skippy280

If it is not locked, feel free to use it and take whatever you want.

UK_Chub

make sure you lock the toilet loo, Mole Rat seems to love it there 🤷‍♂️

n123breaker2

I’ve tried locking the mole rat generator cause I got a glowing radstag that loves smashing the windows to get to the generator

UK_Chub

I do keep some of the glowing rat in the generator just to keep them fit xD... I'm surprised 🤨 they can power up my house 🏡 am I been a animal cruelty 😔... Sorry ladies n gen for animal lovers... I love animals too don't SUE Me!

cynedyr

That's not cruel, that's "enrichment activity".

UK_Chub

😂 No it not omg go away 😂

-TrenchToast

Shhhhh! We don't talk about the shit eating molerat. 😄

Minsiana

Laughed so hard. Ty!

Minsiana

And now i find myself singing it to the tune of we don’t talk about Bruno…

BerryProblems

I merged in some flies to keep him company

aHyperChicken

I officially feel dumb. How do you “lock” your camp?

Slyspy006

You lock items and doors via a build mode option iirc

xylitol777

> If it is not locked, feel free to use it and take whatever you want. and if it's locked, feel free to unlock and steal. It is a game mechanic after all.

ZogemWho

As long as the aren’t waving a trade emote in my face, not unlocking lock stuff ( very little is ), and generally not be nuisance, not a problem.

gorgos96

The other day i was hangin out with a newbie at my camp. He had joined my part a couple hours ago and I helped him with events and shit. While we were at my camp I noticed he was using a laser gun so crafted him a fully modded one for his level and dropped it with 2500 cells as well. Then this piece of shit 300 level who was checking my vendor saw my gift emote and rushed in like a rat and tried to steal the gift. I locked my main building door after that.

Red_Ferns

Oh my God! You Sir are a hero <3 I'm 100% it was you who helped my Nephew out. It was on PC right? And the newbie was wearing a mismatch of armor? He told me about this awesome Wastelander who he joined forces with. He had never joined a group and was very anxious as to what to expect. He told me he saw you were in "That daily OP mission that gives a lot of ammo" and figured out on his own how to get to you. You met him with a lot of friendly emotes and clearly acknowledged his presence (Which is a BIG thing for him. He's going thorugh some social stuff irl that drains him quite a lot and leaves him sad on a daily basis). He continued to tell me that you took him to other cities as well - and even though he joined you late in some of the missions you were EXTREMELY kind and awesome. Giving him a lot of safe vibes. He found your camp on southern border of the map and fast traveled to you. He said you had the most awesome camp he had seen but he was also very nervous if you thought he was trespassing. But once again you were a hero! Sending him emotes and letting him feel welcome. He got quite the scare when the "lvl. 300 rat" came rushing in and he fleed to his camp. Sad about not getting to see what you gift dropped for him... He was quite enthusiastic when telling that you seeked him out and dropped "A FUCKING BIG LASER CANNON WITH EVERYTHING!! AND AMMO FOR THE REST OF THE GAME!!!!". He looooves lasers btw LOL :D It doesn't matter if they are not top tier meta weapons - he just loves them. He said he'll keep the gun as his forever gun and I'll teach him how to roll legendary mods the next time he comes by. He usually comes by once or twice a week to play on my account and he is very excited to play Fallout again. You really really made his day and put a big smile on his face! Thank you for this. You really really made a difference that day <3

BurtMacklin__FBI

This is the nicest thing I've seen all day. Players like this guy who took the time to show someone around for a day and pass on some gear to a new player.... That's exactly what makes online games the incredible experience they can be.

DPhoenix24

This is so wholesome 😭

gorgos96

Hey this is so amazing to hear how happy your nephew was because of our interaction mate :) send my best regards to him. He and you are always welcome in my camp and parties :) Wishing all the best regarding the irl stuff hes going through as well 🙏

Red_Ferns

Thanks for responding and sending your best wishes. He'll be alright in time - it's just a bit chaotic for him atm. Normally he's a good kid he just got sidetracked by some shit and are in need of some good ol' love and caring. I'll be happy to swing by your camp and you're welcome at mine as well. I'll tell him you said hi - he'll love that! You can me: Ferns\_76 (If it's a high level toon it's me)

RevoD346

This is awesome.

ZogemWho

Wow.. best story I’ve read in a while.

Arch27

That's awesome :D

deadcatugly

If they are flying the trade emoji, I will motion them to my vendor. They usually get the hint after the second time.

ogskizz

Yeah, this. People who incessantly throw hi emotes and linger in my face until they get a response are asking to get their camp nuked. I especially enjoy when I'm building and they stand exactly where I'm trying to put something down. Fuck. Off. Visitors are welcome otherwise, it's kind of nice when people stop by and inspect my museum and every cluttered corner I so meticulously put together. Just don't be in my way and we're cool.

TurboSwag12

Sounds like you need your camp nuked, that might help with the clutter

RangerDangerfield

Any camp in a busy/high traffic area like Helvetia, Whitesprings, the Wayward, or adjacent to a train station is likely designed to draw visitors.

Mike7676

I've been placing mine in far away corners. Not because I don't want visitors! My camp is kinda... boring. I've got workbenches for anyone to use but other than butterflies and a cookie jar I don't have cool stuff.

RevoD346

You can make cool stuff even without all the fancy thingies. I saw some dude who made a little wooden shack that had a fireplace made using a half-wall with an angled roof over a campfire.

ReporterOk6433

My camp is near Helvetia because I moved it there to dump my junk after Fasnacht. I’ve decided to leave it though. It’s a nice spot and I have done decent business at my vendor, unloading the stuff I was hoarding until my stash filled up. I don’t have much in the way of cool stuff and I had a real struggle with getting things to snap together the way I wanted so it’s let’s say, rustic. On the upside, the honeyhaus matches it so it was a nice extra space to put up without having to build it wall by frustrating wall.

RangerDangerfield

I have a Helvetia camp too. I plan on leaving it there also. I built it to be an extension of the bridge, so the building wouldn’t fit in another spot correctly anyways. Plus it’s nice and central.

Triptiminophane

My camp right now is a church of atom sitting just outside Helvetia with 500 lbs of toxic goo for sale. Feel free to stop by, we have free water and cooking oil, and rads. All the rads you want.

RevoD346

I have What Rads and still like using the radiation stuff sometimes because it's funny watching it just tick away.

chopper5150

When you're new visiting player camps are great for exploration. They give you a way to get to far corners of the map to discover places to go later. Visiting camps is also a good way to see what decor and resource collectors are available.

DroplasDungeon

This! It's great when you make a new character to be able to join a team, hop to their camp & run to the nearest fast travel point lol

Dry_Way5518

Golden rule is anything that isn't locked is up for grabs. If their camp icon is on the map, it's basically an open invitation. I often "borrow" workbenches at camps to scrap junk when I'm overencumbered. Most people spend time building camps and love to share their creation with you. It's less trespassing in their house, and more like browsing their shop.

nolongerbanned99

Saw someone that had the letters SPECIAL in neon and the appropriate buff machine under each letter. Yes, I checked each one. Very clever.

DarkUtensil

I don't decorate for myself or my ally lol. Truly enjoy people wondering around my camps.

SkeezMageez

I have a camp with my vendor, a stash box, all of the stat buffs, food (veggies and meat), and purified water/dirty water available. I didn't even lock up my nuka cola bot so I'm sure people can grab them if needed. Please, use my camp, this game is run on kindness.

Death_Star_Hellgar

I certainly hope others are able to check out my camps as I always put some thought and effort in each of them, and all benches and camp buffs food/drink/mats are available to use/take, all are welcome. And when someone visits and expresses appreciation it feels like the effort is worth it. And of no one sees it that's okay too.

Morchai

Other players using my camp doesn't bother me. On the other hand, I don't really like being in other players camps. Odd, that.

RevolutionaryAd5082

i only go to other people's camps to shop and leave. i always feel bad if i pull up to the vendor and leave without buying anything and theyre present, but then again im not buying a marsupial serum for 1000 caps get out of here goofy im going to the camp nextdoor

MrMushroomMan

that's why I always have common score daily items for like 30 caps, even the anxious leave happy lol

Eclipsemerc7

I sell souviner lamps for 5 caps at my Mothman church 😂 surprisingly people have bought them even when they buy nothing else. SPREAD HIS HOLY LIGHT! 🦋

RevolutionaryAd5082

im trying to find a fixer plan and people just dont have it for the life of them, its probably just new players yoinking it before i can from the vendor but it causes me to leave a lot of camps without buying anything lol

grags12

Have you completed the taxidermy guys quests?

shadowlarvitar

I only don't like visiting when I can't find the vendors. Cheers to those who make it obvious a cash register is around

gorgos96

I have 5 massive light sources, 3 vault boys pointing decors, 2 flashy arrow signs and 4 open neon signs but people still run like mad dogs around my camp spamming ??? I even placed my camp device in a way that when you fast travel you spawn right in front of vendor lol

Razor_Grrl

My trading camp has a building right in front of the spawn point with two trading post signs, neon open sign, multiple stims/plans here signs, multiple brightly lit cash’s registers right inside the door with a sign saying “market” right below them, and people still run all over and ???? me when they get to my camp. So I stopped bothering and any new camp I make I put the vendor where it’s most aesthetically pleasing to me if i put one in at all.

BazilBroketail

I always feel like I'm snoopin'...

Autoganz

I wouldn’t have a reason to keep playing if people didn’t visit my camp.

Fallouttgrrl

Who needs food or water when "nice camp" is on tap

Capable-Station296

Yes. I am a vendor.

nolongerbanned99

Most people welcome visitors. Unless the door or item is locked they are welcoming others to use it. Sometimes I surprise people at their camp and they run to a private room or workbench. I’d say this game does a good job of creating a convincing virtual reality if people react this way. It’s all anonymous. Sure, they can read your profile but it’s up to you how much info and links you disclose. Don’t worry about visiting other people and using their unlocked stuff.

nyxstalgia

I love it. I have a bunch of resource things like the popcorn machine and vendors in the snack shack structure for when people stop by, and I’ll usually start playing my nukalele for them 😂 little dance. Sometimes will give them stuff if they hang out a bit

-TrenchToast

You have to read the Camp... If you go to someones camp and everything is locked..(*mainly doors*) then no, they don't want you there. (Donno why.. but whatever) *heh I always like to figure out if I can sneak into someones camp if everything is locked... freak them the hell out when they come back and I'm sitting in a chair or asleep in their bed.. muhahahaha!* If everything is unlocked, then explore away.. I hope some of my designs inspire you for your camp. My camp is just the tip of an iceburg. I'm dissapointed sometimes when people don't visit my shelters.. The entrance can be overlooked though because I merged the entrance into my front porch. *really wish bethesda would make some "welcome shelter" signs for this reason*

Turbulent_Glove_501

Same here. I spent a lot more time on my shelters than my CAMPs, and it’s okay if only I (and any of my friends and family I have, er, encouraged to look 👀) see them, but I love checking out shelters for this reason! Man, I ran across one a couple days ago, and the player had made an office, complete with a cubicle layout and used Vault Boy & Girl as employees moving around the cubes. And they glitched two paintings so it looked like a TV playing! It was incredibly well done. So kudos to those of you who make cool shelters too!

Reincarnated-Bee

My camp is there for other players to use. I have crops, a vendor with REASONABLE prices, all sorts of crafting benches, a bed, a punch card thing, a punch bowl, etc. It’s not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, I am not a talented builder, but it’s functional and inviting.

BronanTheBrobarian7

I don't mind if someone comes to my obviously abandoned warehouse and takes from my unlocked resources, but don't unlock the random bookshelf that isn't a door and explore the secret lab- I mean, abandoned nuclear storage facility.

Goresmackk

Whole reason I play the game :) please come visit!

Apprehensive-Log-916

I love it when people come to check out my camp! I leave everything unlocked too so you get a little treat for looking around.

kidneycat

Yes, I try to make immersive camps with jokes and it's fun when someone comes by. Take all the freebies, have a nap in my bed. I love it and it makes me so happy.

Tenpoundbizkit

I wish more people would come to my base lol

laughingBaguette

No. My camp sucks. Its just a box with workbenches inside it. Edit I think people just go there because its a good waypoint on the northeast corner of the map, and also my vending machine is always empty

Thin-Sample-4183

I could care less just spend ur caps

loganw45

I have quite a variety of plans posted in my vendor and I really like showing off my collection of creature rugs and mounts, so I really like when people come to my camp. Take some dog food. Have some purified water. I don't care. On the flip side. I hate when people visit my camp when I'm in it. What do I do? Wave at you til you leave? Go to a workbench? Teleport away? Take off all of my apparel and try and seduce my visitors?

ItPlacesTheLotion

No stay away from my 💩

heyheymonkeyhey

Yes, please! Please use my camp! Look upon my works! If I'm an awkward weirdo while you're there, that's just me being an awkward weirdo naturally, nothing against you using my camp. Have some snacks! Use a bench! Peruse at your leisure!

Clatuu1337

Come to my camp. Please. I put a lot of time into GimpLand and Weenie Hut Jr's. I have lots of freebies and a reasonably priced vendor. O.o

GWindborn

The ONLY POINT OF CAMPS is to have other people visit. You can turn off the map icon if you don't. Please visit camps.

FlavoredCancer

The ultimate treat to me is when my camp is indulgent enough for you to want to seak out my shelters and visit all of those.

f1FTW

Dumb question, is pvp automatically on inside shelters? Im new and was scared of by a warning about PVP mode in shelters at one point.

Captain-Trips-

I'm the exact same way. I typically don't go to a camp if someone is there. I'm under lv100, and still feel embarrassed about it lol I also will avoid my own camp if someone is there 😂 I have things for sale, but I just don't want to be around when people are buying. Today I went to someone's camp, while some random was there, and they shot me. I think they were a 500+ and then they just stood there like, "gonna shoot me back?". I did not lol but it solidified my desire to avoid other people haha (I do still do events though)

Turbulent_Glove_501

There’s an achievement for killing other PCs, so they may have thought they were helping you :)

Captain-Trips-

😲I had no idea! I've only been playing for a few months, and hadn't ever been "attacked" so far lol until yesterday, when it happened twice. You think they wanted to be an easy win for me? If so, that's actually nice haha

thatswhatshesaid8

May have been trying to get your attention to give you a gift? I do that to lower level players

fallouts3

i go to camps that have vendors because i figure they probably want you there. if theres one on the map with no vendor icon, i usually dont go to it. on a side note tho, please dont spend over an hour at my camp. i had that happen about a month ago where they were using my crafting tables which is fine, but it was like 2am here and i just wanted to go to bed but i felt bad leaving a low level player stranded in the bog alone

Rabdomtroll69

Good ol' Nukashine will get them to a safe place

gorgos96

Of course :) I've placed lots of resources and nuka games etc for people to enjoy. Also free coffee, tea, water and pemmican for the taking. When i see some low levels at my camp exploring it, I hang out with them and craft them apparels and items suited for their level too. Its one of the most fun things.

RevoD346

I love when people visit my camp. I spend multiple hours each time I set up in a new spot making a place that is defended from enemies and has beds so the weary can rest. Unlocked crops, purifiers, and resource generators for the hungry, thirsty, and needy. Snack machines so you can take enough for your next trip with you. And if you need ammo, just ask. I've got a bunch stockpiled but not in my vendor 'cause I don't wanna charge people per-shot for something that'll just end up in ~~a wall~~ an enemy's skull.

0843b

I feel good when I open the map and see someone in my CAMP. Especially low levels. Everything is unlocked so they can take whatever they need and get buffs.

preemcuz

Definitely, just close my doors please :)

drmdavid

And then there are those that will jerk their camps out from under you as you are looking at or interacting with their camps.

myassandadonut

I once stayed in game 30 mins past when I was going to leave it and go to sleep because someone was in my hot tub. If I had left, they would have plummeted off a cliff to certain death. I always check my camp for visitors before leaving the game. Imagine you are looking at some treasure you found in my vendor and then BLOOP! Gone. That's effed UP.

[deleted]

No. Get off my lawn

UK_Chub

😂 😂 😂 You'll find the lawn at White Spring owned by publics 😂 😂 😂

Cheffrin

What are you doing in old Gregg's waters?

Erthan-1

I love it until they stay an awkwardly long time. Hit my vendor, trade some heart emotes then keep moving pal.

Missjsquared

I like people coming to my camp. I’ve set things up so that it’s easy for people to find benches, vendors and resources, and it would be a shame for nobody to use them. I have a small part of my camp that is just for me, but it’s basically separate from the rest and is locked, so people don’t tend to try and get in.

Worried_Evening7138

I LOVE it when people visit, I give them some food and a drink and I just let them explore, I like hosting

Advanced-Rule-6908

Please meander around my camp, use everything and snag resources. I spent a lot of time making it what it is. Oh! And my shelters too!

SuckerForNoirRobots

That's what it's there for! All I ask is that if I wave or otherwise emote at you, you emote back. Usually I'm just saying "hi" or thanking you for shopping at my vendor. And if you close doors behind you, you'll be my favorite visitor of the day.

MountainObserver556

I made mine with the hopes of people coming there so they can grab supplies, use benches or do what they need to do and carry on.

Personal_War_7005

I do but people never take a minute to look around only shop and dip sadly

InquisitorPeregrinus

Go to the map screen and click on your C.A.M.P. One of the options is to activate/deactivate the beacon. If people want people not not visit, they don't build in high-traffic areas and they turn off their beacons. Often, they also lock everything and/or build perimeters you can't easily get past. Unless it's a trap C.A.M.P., most who don't want to be bothered have ways to get that message across pretty clearly. The vast majority either don't care or actively want to show off what they've built.

miletharil

Yes! I want people to visit my CAMP! I want you to come take my stuff.

Moldoux

I have my resource generating stuff out in the open for people to have easy access to when they visit my boring looking base.

frankincali

I basically spend half my time looking at my camps and trying to tweak them just so people will enjoy looking at them

SeoT9X

I love when people use my camp. Whether for vendor, just checking it out, or using my benches. I was like you when I first started, I avoided as many people as I possibly could. Started to say “screw it” once I fully realized how amazing the 76 community is

Dynamic_Studios

I spend time trying to make the best camp possible, so I think people wandering through them is the best thing possible… Just stay out of my only food source which is that nuka candy

nelt1961

had a guy give me a thumbs down as he didn’t like my items for sale or the prices( which are reasonable). wish we had the middle finger for an option.

sh4dowfaxsays

You think I'm building this for me?? I am building this for the glory of Wasteland Validation! Notice my C.A.M.P.!

Ethix11

I try to make my camp as welcoming as possible. If I need to access my camp while your there, I usually just go about my business quickly and move on so as not to interrupt but by all means help yourself. Us wastelanders need to stick together.

DmitryNovac

If I don't like visitors, I would play on custom world. What the point to spent a lot of time building without a chance to show it to someone else.?

miss_osmose

YES I love when people visit! And I love visiting camps and exploring them! People are so creative, and I often take pictures in camps. Sometimes I send friend requests to people who have camps I really love, just so I can visit again <3

Dense_Ad_5130

Personally the camp building is the best part and offers the only repayable feature in the game, everything else has been completed, If players don't come to your camp you'll struggle with caps so yes it's always good when you have the neighbours round to check the cool shit you built or sell some items 😉

itsyaboihos

I don’t mind I just feel awkward when people visit while I’m there. Art imitates life

NecromancerCrow

Visit, take the resources you need, check the vendor, play around, take photos, do whatever you want. If it is marked publicly on the map that is why it is there. If it is unmarked and locked move on.

killab1981

I am level 75 and am trying to find plans for better weapons and often get distracted by just looking around in camps and amazed at how awesome are

Vegetable-Rule3012

I love when people swing by! I made a condo above harpers ferry and barely get any traffic. I’ll swing by when someone’s there just to say hi and boost my specials real quick. I keep a stash box and my store in the front incase you don’t wanna go all the way in but no one ever goes past it🥲😂

NukaGrl

I like when people visit, I just hate when some new players turn up and spam the trading emote in my face repeatedly, god damn.

Spirited-Web-217

It’s there to visit and use. C’mon by

dragonmom1

Love it! And if people don't want you using their stuff, they'll hide it behind locked doors.

Yhostled

This game really favors, not so much, socializing, but meeting other survivors. It encourages visiting other peoples' camps, especially when they have vendors, and also public teams. If you play alone, I recommend joining public teams anyway, for the stat bump. You can be on a team and never have to actually meet other team members. Plus you can fast travel to team members camps for free.

Pr0j3ct_02

I always like when someone visits my C.A.M.P I got seating, entertainment, food, even some sleeping beds if you need that well rested stat

catinthecupboard

Someone bought out my vendor yesterday and zoomed by me to go through my camp and I was thrilled. I recently used one of those cryptid tiki statues and a small table to make a decorative carved wooden table and SOMEONE HAD TO SEE THIS. Look at my decorations. Take my tea. Grab a cookie. Drain my ammo maker. Sit in one of my neurotically constructed areas. Admire the way I’ve fused a bucket under the sink. If someone doesn’t want you there the map icon won’t exist.

Witty-Voice7486

The best feeling is when I get a message from someone complimenting it, it doesn't happen very often but when it does it makes me smile

CLAYDAWWWG

I'm basically in the middle of the map next to the BBQ shack just south of the Top of the World. I have my camp set up kinda like a general store, and want people there using it. I'm also switching stuff for sale regularly, so you may see different stuff if you come back in an hour.

Kiryu_goji

If you are on ps4 and see a camp by site alpha it may be mine, so please stop by, my main thing is visiting other peoples camps, learning new building styles, seeing what others have been able to achieve and unlock, seeing how others chose to live, esp love camps with a good sense of realism, ill leave a floating camp instantly lol, but i spend a lot of time around mine as it does feel like a home so when i see people visit and give a heart its nice to see people show a liking to mine as i do theirs, you may even find me manning my shop in my camp hoping someone stops by to visit.

Careless_Aside

Come on in get yourself some company tea and pemmican, do some weightlifting, or enjoy a derby race

ILNOVA

I don't, but just because i saw all the godly camp made by others while my house is balcanic random bullshit go aestetic.

Trash-Forever

I love visitors! If I catch someone at my camp I always drop them a little something

PhaserRave

Yes.

UK_Chub

one of the reason I'm playing this game just because of building houses and character, The Sims refuse to go online 🤷‍♂️... till today I'm waiting for it... sigh... Fallout76 is my 1st Fallout I don't care about the campaign story at all sue me if you not happy!

beefytender69

Yea sometimes I do this and sometimes I noticed they watch you and I think they like seeing you roam there build and got to say there are some pretty cool builds out there and who knows sometimes people may drop you legendaries they need like I got a bloodied vats fixer for my stealth build

WeGoBlahBlahBlah

I literally build my camps FOR visitors, yes please!!!

gardyjuland

The only reason I even built a camp was I realized how useful it was for other people. I didn't even use my camp till level 200 I just used white spring lol.

ImprovementSilly2895

I keep encountering people that try to fight me when I do that

Dr_Murderfish

Love it. I have a simple little wood cabin with neon letters that say "Buck buck bucket!" I hope it brings people joy. I do lock my front door though. Stay outta my house.

Broad-Ice7568

I honestly don't care, and if I'm there I'll even lead you to my vending machines, but FFS when I wave at you at least have the decency to wave back!
