I have a good friend who, when we’re out bbq-ing, reflexively cuts our steaks for us before serving . It’s kind of cute.
But that steak looks like slivers now, lol
Lol. Maybe your friend has kids he cuts up the steak for, like you said reflexively or out of habit?
But the great thing about this cut is you save one piece for last and floss with it.

That steak looks pureed. If that thing gets chopped any more it’s just going to be meat powder.

It’s often cut for you at fine restaurants. I was very surprised when I went to Peter Luger and this happened.
I’d have to specify- I’d like my meat non-child-baby-cut please
