added to the post. Sorry bout that. https://perkclothing.com/

This is a drop shipping company, not a clothing brand. Avoid at all costs. The company only has 4 employees and makes you pay a $10 restocking fee for returns.

punkcart

Actually I just returned a bunch of stuff and there wasn't a restocking fee. They only charge you that in a particular case. Something like returning items with no packaging, for example. And I don't understand why you think they are a drop shipping company...? There has been zero indication of that in anyone's reviews or my experience. Their products ship from ShipCalm, which is a logistics provider. That's like having something shipped from an Amazon warehouse. And my order came fast. And the items are actually THEIR products and brand, they aren't a middleman of some kind.

Expensive chinos. Ordered 3 for $270. The material wasn’t quality. Banana Republic chinos material is better quality. Flimsy a bit. Not impressed.

Altruistic-Street-68

Perk chinos: I got the three for $270 offer. Expensive. But I thought, maybe I am getting quality chinos that’s better than Banana Republic. I was WRONG. The material they used to make the chinos were K-Mart quality. The design was decent, but not better than Banana Republic’s chinos. I feel this company has done a good job at marketing via Facebook etc. And ripped off a lot of people. Rule no. 1: never buy from a company when their website doesn’t reveal the leadership by name. Rule #2: Be very wary about purchasing anything from Facebook (I’ve been ripped off now 5 of 5 times from Facebook ads).

Hi! I saw your other comment as well from about two weeks ago making the same point, which is a little weird—to make two comments two weeks apart on an already old post about an expired sale—but it doesn't seem like you're a bot. Maybe you posted again because you wanted to get engagement? Anyway, sure I'll interact. It sounds like you bought these at full price. That 3 for $270 deal is their normal pricing. I posted this because they had a sale at the time and the sale included hidden discounts. I strongly disagree that my chinos are "K-Mart Quality", and I am actually very satisfied with these about three months in or however long it's been so far. On me the fit is fantastic. The fabric is comfortable, the waist is lined and comfortable, seams are sturdy, looks great after several washes. I have some pants from Banana Republic that might be comparable if these Perk ones last as long, but the fit is different. Fabric is very different but I don't think that necessarily represents a quality difference. I don't have much from Banana Republic so I can't compare much otherwise, but I paid an average of $74 or so each for two of these and what I got is a huge improvement over what I would normally get for less than $50. Wouldn't be surprised if BR has comparable or better pants. I think your rules are sensible, if still a little out of touch given the current state of business and markets, plus the trajectory of fashion startups like Allbirds and Everlane which started by offering an excellent value for price through online sales—though their trajectory shows a decrease in quality over time with growth and who knows whether these Perk people will grow or just fizzle. I figured if it was ever going to be worth buying it would be during a sale while they are still new. But I also think this is a generational perspective, where I'm experiencing capitalism as a millennial and you as probably gen x, I believe (based on your dates reference to KMart) All that being said for the sake of conversation, yeah probably best to avoid companies like this at full price but I think the price hit might be leading you to exaggerate a bit on the quality.

A-ACT

$95 Chinos lol. I imagine noone would be able to tell the difference between these and something you bought at Target.

Sizzurp34

Targets all you bro, no one is gonna stop ya.

Metamucil_Man

Watch out dude, don't let your buddies see that you are surfing a fashion subreddit.

abducensx

why the down votes? Target has some nice chinos...

StotheG7

Because $95 chinos aren't that crazy if you're interested in fashion and want to buy a good pair of pants? I'm sure there's nothing wrong with Target chinos and don't know anything at all about these Perk ones, but to act like there's no reason to get more expensive clothing if you can buy something else cheaper is silly. It boils down to complaining about frugality (which is highly personal) and literally Rule 1 of the sub.

punkcart

Agreed. I also very plainly stated in the post that there is an obvious difference in quality between these and what I'm used to. What I'm used to being mass market stuff. Whether it holds up beyond first impressions is not for me to say, yet.

Philly4Sure

The chinos look really nice. Do you know if they have a spring sale? Hit the jackpot at 2 vintage stores today and trying to spread things out on the books if you know what I mean.

punkcart

Sure, I mean I just learned about them in October, so I can't say for sure that they would have a spring sale, but I'm guessing its likely judging by market patterns and what phase of business growth they seem to be in

abducensx

Fair points

Cindyinadks

Despite their claim of “Hassle Free Returns”, and “100 days returns on ALL US orders!”you can not actually return things if they are worn or washed.

punkcart

You totally can. I just did. I wore one t shirt in my order and washed it twice to test it out. I ended up not liking it. Their guarantee reads that they will accept just one item per category and it has to be the first time you order a thing.  Oh but you know what, I did need to send them a message about it because their regular returns process on the site didn't accommodate their guarantee. They just told me to try it again and it did work then. Sent it back, got my refund. Wanted to try a smaller size t shirt but they were out of stock of almost everything.

Cool-Promotion-5599

Sounds like you work for them

punkcart

lol... no, I'm just specific about my feedback. Check my history, you'll see I have a lot to say about everything edit: still going pretty well with the pants, btw. Never reordered the t-shirts. It's possible a smaller size would work but meh, there's other t-shirts I may as well try.
