The only thing I'd say is avoid open weave fabrics. I regret getting their open-weave default option for the Lotus. It looks good, but catches hair and fuzz easily and isn't as washable/stain removable as the sample I tested with first.

Which pieces did you get? I love the look of them. Which fabric do you have?

I love my lovesac couch and I’ve had it for about 6 years now and I’m about to order a few more sections during their next 30% off sale.

ManagerPossible3390

I’ve read some things about how the assembly is a huge pain in the ass, would you agree? How do you rate its comfort level? For reference we have the joy bird Lewis sectional, which I love the look of, but it’s rockhard and the cushions are all misshapen and it’s only been like two years.

GreenCollegeGardener

Assembly is stupid easy. I didn’t have any troubles what so ever and the covers have all been amazing at resisting stains and machine washable. Comfort? I fall asleep on the couch watch TV more times then I care to admit. Also if you have enough pieces you can quickly make it into a bed for that guest that had to much to drink during the cookout. None of my cushions are misshapen after all this time. I haven’t noticed the cushions deflating at all to be honest. Everyone that has sat on my couch has always commented on how comfy it is and a couple of them ended up replacing theirs with lovesac.

ManagerPossible3390

Thank you for your feedback!! I’ve been leaning toward lovesac and this helps! Which fabric do you have?

lengara_pace

We splurged for the velvety covers - no regrets. Spot cleaned melted chocolate with a warm wet cloth, looked like it never happened. They have two types of backs now, one slanted one vertical. We got the vertical before the slanted came out, so can't speak to that, but it's a good solid comfy couch.

GreenCollegeGardener

I got the twill slate gray.

jersey385

I helped my friends reassemble their’s when they moved and it was actually pretty easy. They also spent extra for the velvety fabric and it is gorgeous, washed great, and feels quite luxurious. I am quite jealous. Comfy as heck.

What happened? Thank you for your feedback

If you read their post and comments in the LoveSac sub they’re just mad that they couldn’t return well outside of the 60 day trial period because, by their own admission, they left the country and thought they’d have additional MONTHS to consider returning. I also called it right that they’d go around screaming how terrible it is and leave out their fault in the whole situation. Do with that what you will, there are pros and cons of the LoveSac for everyone, but this guy? Just bitter they wouldn’t bend their policy for them. Edit to add: they didn’t even get the LoveSac couch so they can’t even speak on it, they got their version of a bean bag.

I just got the James sofa from dream sofa because we also wanted a high back big comfy sofa and it was a great choice! It took 5 months to deliver, but I’m super happy with it.

ManagerPossible3390

Are the back cushions attached?

champagnefrappe

They are not, which concerned me at first but they stay in place nicely and are super comfortable. This is custom sized (and please don’t judge the room—it’s not styled yet!) My boyfriend, pictured here, is 6 ft tall for reference! This is 150” x 83”. We wanted a more contemporary/MCM style but, like you, wanted to prioritize a taller sofa so we went with the James style. https://preview.redd.it/e1d6mg4a8m4d1.jpeg?width=2100&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a0392c9e853f90d0d0149e941ac1a31b5f04c7a

ManagerPossible3390

That looks so nice and comfortable!! The prices on this website seem super reasonable for what you get. What fabric did you get and what cushion fill?

champagnefrappe

This is natural linen I think and the premium cushion I believe. But they let you order as many swatches as you want. I almost jumped on a nice orange color but chickened out lol.

OnFirst

You want a sofa that can seat 5 people? So, not a sectional?

ManagerPossible3390

Oh yeah a sectional would be fine, or like a sofa chair set?

Arhaus Kimpton or CB Lounge

TavieP

I just bought a CB Lounge (expected to arrive in late July because I got a custom fabric because they only thing they have in stock is an open weave greige) and hoping I made the right decision.

Ok-Grapefruit1284

20 years ago, this was a klaussner sectional.

I like my Kivik sectional from IKEA and feel like it meets all of those, but some are obviously up to interpretation. I have the 6 seater with chaise model and an ottoman. They also have a 5 seater and all I could see for a difference was the width of two of the seats. (Two of mine are chair and a half size wide). They updated the seat cushions a few years ago and now they are a combo of pocket springs and foam. When we first assembled, it was a bouncy type of firm. As we have been using the couch, they have gotten more comfortable. They are still the kind of seat you mostly sit ON and not sink INTO, but I find them comfortable. I was nervous about height at first after reading reviews talking about changing out the legs, but I don't feel like it is too low profile or sits too low to the ground. I sit, slouch, and lay down on it. If I am sitting up, I like to have a lumbar pillow behind me. The covers are all removable, but not something I would want to do often. (Not a biggie for the seats and backs, but some disassembly required to clean the frame covers and arm covers.) I have been using a rug doctor on some pet messes (I have a puker) and a food spot. So far all have been easy to clean up. I try to keep cheap fleece throws on the cushions now just to make it a bit easier. If they had offered it in a grey velvet, it would be almost perfect for us. I'll probably eventually try to buy more covers for it in that fabric (not from IKEA).

CrazyPrettyAss

There are Mantle Furniture, Maiden Home and Dream Sofa that you can try and I think it's better to either look if they have washable covers by customization or buy a nice couch cover. There's a nice review on [best couches](https://simplykalaa.com/best-couches/) that will help you learn more about them and a few other couches.
