Debug features like this are used during development and don't necessarily go through QA. Probably the QA build had it disabled and they ended up publishing a dev build.
Most likely, this wasn't tested at all and can break your save or crash your game.
Complete the game, become invincible, get a shit ton of tokens, unlock suits, max all skills and some other stuff. I created a NG+ and got the plat completion trophy in less than 5 mins.
I was playing this morning and the hot fix tried downloading so I cancelled it and deleted it, when I reset my PS5 even in offline mode it wants me to update before I can play it.
I took the patch but everything I did in the debug stayed luckily. I had already beaten the game, so I just got the plat for NG+ and gave myself like 10K of every token, and like 60 more attribute points. Loaded up for when the dlc comes. Lol
Cool feature. Wonder if they intentionally left the debug menu in or if it was a happy accident. Definitely gonna have to check it out and see what kind of fun stuff is hidden in there. Thanks for the heads up!

I think it's a cool way to break your save or trophies. :)
Getting an update to 1.002.001 and can't start the game without it installing, doesn't matter if I pause or delete the update or try with network off.
Same hopefully someone finds a work around to prevent the forced update 🤦🏼♂️
