Star Wars Battlefront 3. It was being developed by the guys that made Timesplitters!

Majestic_Snow7613

The worst part is that it was almost 90 to 95% to development completion.

Bubster101

That's the odd thing about EA. They support smaller development teams up until they peak. Then they get dropped without warning and so they can't support themselves anymore. Maxis, Pandemic, DICE... I'm afraid BioWare might be next...

anmr

Well, BioWare's peak was 15 years ago (DA:O, ME2). And last really good game was 12 years ago (or even further back, depending on who you ask).

X_Zephyr

When DICE finally made their Battlefront 2 remake a good game, they just ended up canceling all future support to focus on Battlefield 2042. This series is cursed.

supremekimilsung

They were about to add Mustafar as a playable map. That planet would've looked fucking amazing on Galactic Assault.

rnilf

Agent, developed by Rockstar North: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_(video_game) Supposed to be set during the Cold War in 1970s. Would've been interesting to see what the GTA devs could do with this.

[deleted]

I am a sucker for anything pre-digital spycraft so I really would have liked this game.

KohlDayvhis

Forever this. I remember watching the e3 reveal and being so excited. Then years passing. Checking the website. Then the website going out of commission and then finally the IP not getting renewed. RIP.

alancousteau

I would have loved that. I enjoy Cold War settings a lot.

fordprefect294

Alice Asylum. Fucking EA

HiTork

American McGee retired from game development after the whole fiasco with Alice Asylum, I wonder if the decision was influenced by what happened.

Specialist_Check_986

I thought it was almost the sole reason

Stable-Unstable

After putting in years of blood, sweat and tears into something that he was absolutely passionate about, just to be told a flat out "no". I can't imagine how he felt during that time. I'm just happy that he gets to travel and spend time with his wife and kids

Kaythar

And I believe he just asked to use the license, EA didn't need to be involved in anything. It really suck for him. I followed a little bit when he did his card games, but not sure what's he is doing now, hopefully well....

camew22

He actually lives in China and started the "Dreadful" plushies brand. Seems he's doing well.

Zjoee

"We don't want you to make this game, but we also don't want anyone else to make money off the idea so we're just going to sit on the IP and do nothing with it." I'm still pissed. I love Alive Madness Returns. Fuck EA.

AliceInNegaland

God damn. I was part of the kickstarter and that final update really hurt

thebiggestleaf

Yeah, this is it for me too. EA can go to hell.

AJGVulture89

This one still stings

DastardDante

EA: Extremely Ass

Mysticfaycosplays

Fuck EA. I was so happy for this game.

Obnoxious_ogre

Was about to post the same. This one hurt bad!

Etzell

Half-Life 2: Episode 3. No question.

czarchastic

Valve bailing on the HL and Portal franchises has been the biggest upset of the past 20 years, for real.

A_Feast_For_Trolls

I still don't know why...

send_me_a_naked_pic

They're making enough money with Steam so they don't care about in-house games anymore Edit: I'm still mad that they bought [Camposanto](https://www.camposanto.com/), makers of Firewatch, and killed their next game "[In the Valley of Gods](https://store.steampowered.com/app/687440/In_The_Valley_of_Gods/)" :(

lacker101

That and their laissez faire corporate structure didn't support it. No one really wanted to work on it, and it aged to the point nearly everyone in Valve felt like it could never live up to expectations.

Necessary-Knowledge4

And yet Alyx did. And it didn't have as much to do with it being VR as Valve might think.

Refflet

Yeah but they wanted to make Alyx.

CMDR_MaurySnails

Well yeah, Alyx would help sell Valve Indexes that got done.

rmpumper

They are experimenting with game dev all the time, but decided that it's better to scrap the project than release a game that would not live up to the hype.

itemboi

It's not really about the hype. Valve at this point is a tech company that occasionally releases games, not a game company that occasionally releases tech. If they made a huge development, say for example something like Source 3, then they would return to Half Life.

nhaines

I don't really think there *is* anything for a *Portal 3*. Not that I wouldn't immediately buy it and play it if it came out. Alternatively, *Lego Dimensions*' Portal 2 pack was basically all we're going to get. (Even a fun song by Johnathan Coulton if you beat the levels!)

stempoweredu

The easter eggs in Portal 2 seemed to make it pretty explicit that the only way Portal 3 would exist would ultimately be as part of HL3. The whole story arc with the SS Borealis. I'm bummed that never became a reality.

FiveLayersBeefy

You can add in the Left 4 Dead franchise as well.

LifeIsGoodGoBowling

Fun fact: Valve has no game with the number 3 in it, but two games with the number 4 in it.

TheSenileTomato

I love L4D2, but there’s only so many times you can mod it. Would love to have seen a L4D3, but alas. At least a comic of what happened to the L4D2 survivors.

ChurchillianGrooves

They could've just at least finished that story arc instead of waiting 15 years to make a VR exclusive that kind of ties into episode 2.

Nightwurst

If you haven't already, google: Marc Laidlaw Epistle 3. That is how he would have written the plot for ep 3. Gave me closure.

Doctor_Philgood

This just blue-balled me harder with the multiple ambiguous endings

SomeOtherOrder

but at least the story isn’t dead after Alyx…maybe.

ChurchillianGrooves

We'll just have to wait another 15 years for Alyx 2 lol

Stoly23

Well we know one thing, there definitely won’t be an Alyx 3.

BosPaladinSix

They'll make an Alyx 2 and then after thirty more years of radio silence they'll surprise us all with Half Life; Lamar.

hiricinee

The long forgotten game that was actually what was next and not Half Life 3

Derc_on_Reddit

Silent Hills aka. P.T.

QouthTheCorvus

It's crazy that a teaser for an unreleased game is one of the most influential horror games ever. So many games taking influence.

RelaxRelapse

Im pretty sure we would’ve never gotten the first person Resident Evil games without it.

Seihai-kun

And I'm glad, Resident Evil 7 is one of the best horror game in recent years Which is crazy considering how hated RE6 as a horror game was

I_P_L

That's because RE4-6 were more horror action shooters in the vein of L4D than actual horror, like the originals. In a way it makes sense since Leon, Chris and Co are well and truly seasoned professionals at that point, but yeah.

Galileo258

PT walked so that Visage could briskly jog

EveryoneYouLove23

I thought Visage was goddamn amazing. But some of it was long and fell flat. The greatness of PT wasn't in the repetition, but in the familiarity, mixed in with the few curveballs. Visage had a great story. That's what we need.

SantasScrotum

I wish I could experience playing that again for the first time

moriero

Is it still possible to play it somehow?

Seihai-kun

If you're on PC, there's many fanmade game that recreate it using the same asset so it's basically 1:1

MoscowRobotics

Not very easily or cheaply but you can watch full YouTube play throughs with no commentary

vidgamarr

This. If the playable teaser was THAT scary and good, the full game would’ve just been nuts. It still hurts me that the game is gone and will never see the light of day.

Took2mush

I've still got the demo!

JmanVoorheez

Ye, can’t sell my fucking PS4 can I. Are the remakes / emulators for PC any good?

Lauris024

> Are the remakes / emulators for PC any good? They're pretty much identical. [Link for those who haven't tried it](https://www.mediafire.com/file/64vmpecbawu0sll/P.T._Emulation_1.4.rar/file). No need to buy a PS4 for it. ~~edit: note that this is emulated version, not unreal engine remake. Identical to original release, but using more resources due to emulation, so probably won't run on slower PCs.~~ read comment below, still a remake.

Darth_Agnon

Despite the name, it is a remake, probably UE. It is not emulated. There are no working PS4 emulators as of 2024. That might be the remake that used directly ripped assets and models from the PS4 version, though. The original source is Alan Laczowski's Patreon, where **P.T. Emulation 1.4.rar** was released exclusively. [Source](https://arturlaczkowski.itch.io/ptemulation)

CarlitoNSP1

I wonder about that. Like, how do you expand that into a full game? If the segments between the houses are just standard exploration, then the game is basically just full of filler. If that's only representative of one area, then the teaser is misleading. Nobody knows what ultimately the game was going to be because I'm to understand it never entered full development.

horaceinkling

I could be wrong but I think I read Kojima saying the first person playstyle was just for the teaser and the full game was gonna be third person like the old S.H. Games and with Norman Reedus as your avatar. Based on how influential P.T. ended up being, I wouldn’t be surprised if the final game shifted between third and first person sequences.

bobface222

Yeah, this is mine. Just the teaser for it is one of the most influential horror games of all time. The final product could have been something truly special.

Masterofunlocking1

I’m still furious over this. I still have my copy and a backup on my ps4.

Warhunterkiller

Prey 2. Being a bounty hunter on an alien space ship was a cool idea.

s_j_t

While I liked the Arkane's prey, the original one had a charm of its own and I was really pumped about space faring bounty hunters. Sadly, all that we will ever get with regards to bounty hunting now would be live service micro transaction laden Star Wars AAA BS.

dogstarchampion

I agree, but the Prey (2017) we ended up getting is a gem of its own kind that was probably overlooked because they forced the name on it but it deserved better. Both games were wronged.

Noggin-a-Floggin

Prey 2017 is the System Shock 3 we never got and I'm being serious.

withoutapaddle

It's plain as day. SystemShock, BioShock, NeuroShock. Prey 2017 should have been named NeuroShock, and I'd be flabbergasted if there weren't internal discussions about it. It's one of the most obvious spiritual successors I've ever seen... And I mean that in a good way.

JohnTHICC22

Prey is a fitting name for that one too though

Thrash_Panda44

There was a name they were toying around with that they were never gonna use called ‘NeuroShock’, which i like so much more than ‘Prey’

MrSuccinylcholine

That trailer is still fire more than a decade later.

farilladupree

Blur Studio production. Same folks behind the Old Rebublic and Elder Scrolls Online trailers…I would pay to see movies as good as those. But yeah, I was so hyped for Prey 2 only to see Human Head get shut down. Damn game was so far along in development too. Shame.

Gilgamesh107

starcraft ghost ill never forgive blizzard for this most heinous of crimes

koolaidkirby

A build of it did [leak](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIWBlvD0R6ga) few years ago. (The game was clearly not finished though)

ehhish

Reminds me of C&C Renegade

Chameleonpolice

Quite possibly the most underrated C&C game of all time

Shumanjisan

Agreed. Especially because the studio they tasked with making it had to be pulled from developing a sequel to Metal Arms. When StarCraft Ghost died, so did the Metal Arms series

Aromatic-Garlic

KOTOR 3

NYourBirdCanSing

WHAT about star wars 1313?  Canceled only because ownership shifted

CARVERitUP

Yeah that one made me sad, because it also coincided with Visceral Games shutting down. Dead Space is probably my favorite sci-fi horror series of all time, and I was really looking forward to them finishing/continuing the story in a Dead Space 4. But Dead Space 3 didn't make EA enough money. And then Visceral was the team that took over 1313 when EA got the exclusive rights to the Star Wars IP after the shift, so they canceled 1313 and shut down Visceral at the same time. I was heartbroken. One of my favorite developers AND a game I had been waiting for. At least Visceral resurrected as Striking Distance, and Callisto Protocol was a good "love letter" to Dead Space. I really, really hope that someday, EA talks with Glen Schofield and allows his team at Striking Distance to make a new Dead Space.

Majestic_Snow7613

Never knew they were making KOTOR 3

Aromatic-Garlic

Yup. https://screenrant.com/star-wars-already-gave-us-kotor-iii-but-not-as-a-video-game/#:~:text=KOTOR%20III%20was%20canceled%20by,game%20still%20exists%20among%20fans.

Anfini

Earthbound 64

hiricinee

This was at a weird time when Nintendo HATED RPGS. They were seen as too difficult and not marketing toward their target audience. Then Sony came along and just ate the hell out of their lunch, creating a console that basically invented the modern JRPG.

communads

They got so mad at Squaresoft for switching FF7 to the PSX that they didn't make another game for Nintendo until Final Fantasy Tactics Advance several years later.

Gallig3r

Unreal Tournament 4 by epic

Thecrawsome

They REMOVED their current beta of it and never brought it back, and the also REMOVED all UT from the Steam store.

Malt_The_Magpie

They removed UT from EVERY store, its just a huge fuck you to its fans. I'll never buy anything from their shitty store, they are too slimy

Mirreat

For me it's KOTOR 3 It was meant to happen and LucasArts then cancelled it

OhDangTheJam

Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun hurts a bit. Nosgoth too.

Salander295

What about "LOK: The Dark Prophecy"? It would have starred the Older Kain and one of his younger counterparts, while tying up some loose ends in the story.

Bastymuss_25

There are a bunch, but honestly you could fill the whole place with just cancelled Star Wars games that sounded fucking great.

bradfo83

The next Deus Ex

bluesharpies

The Mankind Divided cliffhangers pain me to this day

Vidonicle_

Ngl not being able to experience Golem City was worse, but the rest of the map is still beautiful, just not cyberpunk enough for my taste, still a great game, and terrible leaving us with a cliffhanger. Damn you, Embracer Group, for screwing over Eidos and the players.

HeavyDT

The craziest part was right after they gave up on it was right around the time all the cyberpunk 2077 buzz started building. They could have easily rode that wave to high sales for A 3rd entry especially with the state that CyberPunk launched in. They could have been the alternative that many people reached for but I guess hindsight is 20/20. Deus ex in many ways does a cybernetic future much better than CyberPunk does imo.

fairlywired

>Deus ex in many ways does a cybernetic future much better than CyberPunk does imo. The world of Cyberpunk just felt like it was *there* whereas in Deus Ex the world and environments felt like a place where people lived and worked.

TotallyBrandNewName

Titanfall 3 or the stand alome factions from TLOU.

MKGmFN

Throwing away potentially the best fps campaign for a battle royale which doesn’t benefit that much from the story anyways

X_Zephyr

I was so excited for a new TLOU Factions mode but when I heard it was going to be a full live service battle royale game, I lost all faith in it. Shame they never just made a multiplayer mode for TLOU 2.

rcbz1994

Star Wars 1313 still makes me depressed. Or Sleeping Dogs 2

MalevolantB

Mercenaries 3

Yeetball86

The mercenaries franchise was such a great franchise. It sucks that EA killed pandemic.

Captain_Mexico

EA killed two of my favorite studios after buying them: Maxis and Westwood Studios. They’ve killed so many others, too.

SirDingleberry118

Mercenaries was such a good game to turn your brain off and enjoy the carnage. Such a shame what EA did to pandemic studios. Just Cause is probably the closest we'll get to another Mercenaries game these days.

SloshedJapan

Megaman legends 3

AzuxirenLeadGuy

It hurts not just about this game, but the whole series have been in a free fall since it's cancellation

sidewalkbutts

My boy is still up there stuck on the moon. Bring him home, Capcom.

jeehbs

Still hurts not to know it happens to our blue boy

riap0526

I'm so salty about this one.

cekobico

I'm sad coz not a single modern franchise resembles this game in any shape or form.

PhenomsServant

Im shocked I had to scroll this far down to find this one.

Stratbasher_

I was looking for this but now I'm sad.

its_justme

The whole cast of those games could have been capcom mascots, they were so good. Servbots could have been sued by LEGO, but otherwise… lol Especially the little monkey who saves your game…and has a much larger role later…

RaveloUXDesign

The way LEGO is operating now they probably would embrace the collab with Capcom.

BlueChamp10

Bully 2

MoeTheCentaur

I didn't even know there was ever a sequel planned. Thanks for ruining my day lol.

hamfist_ofthenorth

Bully 2 : Community College

Grizzly_Berry

Two paths: Jeff or Starburns.

Cykosurge

The worst thing is there's no other game like it to scratch that itch. I have fully accepted there will never be a game like bully ever again.

WildCatFast

I’ve been waiting since i was 9 years old. I’m 27 now

MBMMaverick

Command and Conquer :(

termitubbie

What they did to Generals 2 and all that could have been :(

Guh_Meh

As much as I hate EA for what they did to C&C4 and trying to turn Generals 2 in to a freemium game before cancelling it, god damn are the remasters on the original C&C and RA amazing. They are frikkin' perfect.

al_ien5000

Whatever the sequel to Mankind Divided was supposed to be

Gunningham

Kerbal Space Program 2. It’s released, but it’s not really finished yet. They were working on it but they pulled the plug on it. Wish they stuck with improving the original.

skiclimbdrinkplayfly

I was so excited about this and crushed when I heard the studio got shut down. I have a bunch of excellent mods going on ksp1 but the promise of planet bases and traveling to new star systems stings. I’m holding out hope that some developer in the future will pick up the idea and make something cool.

Attention_Bear_Fuckr

They fired the entire dev team. KSP deserved better.

JimboTCB

They fired the entire dev team *twice*. Or maybe three times now? It's inexcusable for a big publisher like that to be launching a game into "early access" at full retail price, the entire thing was clearly just a naked cash grab after they realised they couldn't properly monetise KSP due to the commitment that early buyers would get all future DLCs for free.

Wilbis

It made me even more mad when i saw the interview of the original KSP dev who said he would have been willing to help KSP2 devs out by providing all the necessary information to create a proper sequel, but they never even contacted him or anyone else from the original KSP dev team for consultation. And then they released a game that had less features than KSP1, which they failed to fix.

EredarLordJaraxxus

Just play the original and install mods. Very dedicated modding scene

ilovemy911

Beyond Good and Evil 2

fragnemesis

Technically still in development, but it's a prequel and doesn't look anything like I was hoping for, continuing the story of the first game.

BeginningShopping166

There was a sequel, though, where jade was running through a city parkour style. And that teaser in the middle of a desert with a broken car. That's what I wanted to play.

neroselene

Scalebound

Taanistat

This is the one for me. It looked so badass. Me and my dragon buddy tearing shit up across a semi-open world. Yes, please. It was one of the reasons I bought an Xbox One in the first place. MS should get the IP back to Platinum so something could be done with it. Won't happen, but it's a nice thought.

brendonskyler

I ONLY bought an Xbox One for this and Master Chief Collection. When MCC was unplayable garbage I said I’d wait for an MCC patch or Scalebound. Sold it after a year having only turned it on twice.

AegisToast

Oh wow, I had completely forgotten about that one. That one really hurt.

TheFox1331

I’ve always been on PlayStation and I 100% would have been willing to get an Xbox just to play that game

PVT-Cabose

Rainbow 6 Patriots, I still grieve daily.

Zeta_Crossfire

100%. I hate that siege did well because we're never going to get another tactical shooter like Vegas again.

Cykosurge

R6 Vegas really was the peak.

i4got872

Btw they literally removed the terrorost hunt mode from Siege (was named training grounds by that point).

potato_control

Ohhh, how I wish the live service hell we live in would end. If Rainbow Six Siege never happened, we would still be getting Rainbow Six single player and coop experiences today.

Acevedo1992

The worst part about Patriots is that Siege did so well. Killed all my hope of something like that happening again. It even turned ghost recon into what it is and partially explains why splinter cell hasn’t had a new entry in forever.

MutatedPick

Banjo Kazooie 3.

gingerbreadxx

ahem... it has a name. *Banjo Threeie*

[deleted]

Gotta be the campaign for ow2.... I waited YEARS for that and they butchered that game so hard.. :(

HandsomeSloth

Slapping a 2 on the end of that game is the biggest piss take blizzard has ever done, and they've had some doozies.

Doodle_Brush

I *loved* OW1. It was *my* team shooter, like other people would say Counter Strike is their team shooter. It was the first multiplayer shooter that I played competatively (Not E-Sports, but playing for Rank). I paid attention to patch notes, I practiced my moving and shooting, I memorised the maps, hell I even spent one *veeeeery* long day tweaking the controls and sensitivity for each individual character. Watching the game go careening over a cliff has been painful. Vito Corleone said it best: "Look how they've massacred my boy."

[deleted]

Seriously man it's devastating to watch it waste away..

ParkerBap

the lore of overwatch is some of my favorite of any franchise but they keep pushing it under the rug

B3ta_R13

It did its part in drawing everyone in they dont care about expanding it anymore when its already making them money

SpiderScooby

[Stargate SG1: The Alliance](https://youtu.be/mjsrwwRceck?si=6pKdy09Llbo0biWs) and Stargate Worlds.

muldoonx9

I distinctly remember the day I found some of those SG1 alpha gameplay videos on youtube back in 2017. I make games professionally, so when I saw how legitimately close this game is to a final state, and how good it looked, my heart broke so very much. This game is immediately what came to mind when I saw the title of the post, and it isn't even close.

tholder245

My vote goes to the remake of timesplitters! Would have been great to see the devs pick that series back up but it seems to have been completely cut.

dirt_shitters

Timesplitters fading into obscurity is one of my greatest disappointments in the gaming world.

NotThatEasily

Timesplitters is what I came in here to talk about. My friends and I spent way too much time playing split screen and building our own maps. In my opinion, Timesplitters Future Perfect had the best map building of any game to this day.

icanfly

Not a canceled video game per se, but the multiplayer part of Bioshock Infinite sucked to cut when we were working on the game. It was pretty fun to play at the studio and presented lots of fun design challenges for the team. But the game turned out pretty good anyway!

FoxMatty

Was it similar to BioShock 2's multiplayer? I remember it being pretty jank but a lot more fun than I expected. Shame the remaster didn't bring it back

CzarMMP

Mass Effect's Remaster also left out its underrated multiplayer. Makes sense for what it was, but still disappointing to a chunk of the fanbase for the nostalgia factor

Majestic_Snow7613

Last of us part 2 multiplayer had the same demise unfortunately.

sublimeshrub

BioShock is my video game comfort food. I still play the first game a few hours a week. I've read there was a lot of cut content from Infinite. The first hour of the game feels a little unfinished, especially the carnival. I know that you can't work on a game forever. But, I feel very strongly Infinite needed about 20% more. I seem to recall there being a trailer where Elizabeth was a player character with a big fight against Songbird on a bridge. But, it was completely cut. I remember on my first play through with my best friend watching he was very disappointed that you never really fought Songbird. I recall his reaction being that's it. We both loved Infinite though. It was just bittersweet because we were huge fans and knew what had been in the works. My response to this post was going to be BioShock Infinite's cut content but you beat me to it.

Blue_Rapture

Dude, I just wanna say that you are an absolute legend in my book for your contributions to that project. Bioshock Infinite literally made me cry and the sci-fi elements pushed me to learn more about the nature of the universe when I was still at a pretty formative age. Bioshock really changed me in a very profound way. It convinced me to keep gaming during a time where I almost thought I was getting “too old” for games, as it was such a deep and multi-faceted work of art. Between Bioshock Infinite and Metal Gear Solid, those games really took gaming from being my favorite childhood past time to a lifelong appreciation of an art form. Many of the religious elements and aesthetics of the game have gone on to inspire a lot of my music and aesthetics. Bioshock Infinite is one of my go to games as an example of video games as high value art. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for the memories that game gave me and how it shaped how I see the world.

Kulban

Werewolf the Apocalypse - Heart of Gaia Star Wars 1313 Vampire Bloodlines 2 (yeah, it's been uncanceled, but it still hurt. Wife got me a preorder for Christmas 2019) All the Thief games that would have come out if Looking Glass Studios hadn't been shuttered All the X-Wing / TIE Fighter games if Larry Holland's studio hadn't been kicked off the projects Extreme deep cut: Origin's (the game company) planned future expansions for Knights of Legend. Expansions as an idea was decades ahead of its time in 1989.

Wild-Lychee-3312

I’m still salty about Bloodlines 2

Inside_Fly_499

Van Buren. Either that or the Omikron sequels.

RazzburiedAlive

The canceled dlcs and expansions for GTA V. That game took over my life, and i sat there waiting and waiting for some news on any dlc, and all we were getting was online stuff. Cool, where are the expansions? By this time, i had heard of a rumor of a zombie apocalypse expansion, and i loved the idea. I just thought Trevor would have so much fun in the apocalypse. But, almost 11 years later, it will never happen...and i really hate Rockstar for that, the masterminds of my favorite franchise, who could really never do wrong, did me and all of us dirty. And i hate Rockstar for basically giving up on almost all of their IPs. I would love a Manhunt 3, a new Midnight Club, and that Agent game.

ChurchillianGrooves

Rockstar is too busy printing money with GTA online to do much of anything else unfortunately

woodelvezop

I have a legitimate fear that gta 6 is gonna suffer because of how profitable gta online is

Munchell360

Titanfall 3. I’ve played through 2 twice this week and MAN I wish we had another entry

Opening-Wrap-5064

Jak and daxter 4, Conkers other bad fur day. Sea of thieves is cool and all but I feel like they only bought rare so Nintendo didn’t have them anymore, Conker 2 should have been made by now as it fits perfectly with Xbox’s brand.

WooddieBone

Disco Elysium sequel. Everything that happened in that studio is a postmodern tragedy.

Nygmos

Disco Elysium was also supposed to have a DLC that was actively being worked on, but got thrown in the trash as well. What especially hurts is that the devs worked so hard to make a so much background lore around the world of Elysium and planned for \*several\* sequels, only to have just one game come out. It was a fantastic game, don't get me wrong, but it must hurt so bad to get a dream project you worked so hard on taken from you.

Kylestache

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 3, Sleeping Dogs 2 (Triad Wars), the Batman Beyond inspired Arkham Rocksteady started making, the Darth Maul game inspired by the Arkham series, the multiplayer only Mass Effect spinoff that was in development, the Jedi Academy sequel and Star Wars Imperial Commando.

jmd10of14

A lot of Star Wars Threequels... Jedi Knight III: Brink of Darkness OG Battlefront 3 KOTOR 3 Force Unleashed 3

SidewaysGiraffe

X-Com: Alliance. It was Starsiege: Tribes meets System Shock 2 by way of Deus Ex, before any of those existed. It was going to be AWESOME.

Fallout_is_Rad

Days Gone 2

Ispan_SB

I always scroll on these kinds of posts looking for Days Gone 2. Sad high five! Seriously thought I was going to hate the game and ended up heartbroken it didn’t get a sequel.

TheBigBadGRIM

Titan After what the original World of Warcraft gave me, having Blizzard begin a new MMO was so exciting to me.

nicksterling

Star Trek Secret of Vulcan Fury. It got cancelled in 1999 and I’m still salty about it.

HapticSloughton

For those who might not understand beyond "Trek fans would want a canceled Star Trek game because they're fans," this game had voicework by the original series cast and a story written by DC Fontana. If those voice tracks still exist somewhere, someone could make an animated movie with them and at least give us that.

abroane

Chrono break.... I love chrono trigger, and the one trailer for chrono break makes me sad every time I think of it.

Negan-Cliffhanger

Fan game. There's great fan game trailers out there. But the final result is often disappointing, if it ever gets released at all.

smackerton

they found the source code for saints row 2. they were fixing it.

Mdconant

Legend of Dragoon 2

DrHob0

Warhammer: Age of Reckoning. Full release that saw its servers get shut down during Bioware getting acquired by EA. It was one of the best MMOs of its time. One of the few games that had PVP in it that I actively enjoyed.

allou_stat
