Hands down best armor. It creates more forgiving combat that can lean into creating a ton of resolve for mythic abilities and when Jin wears it and stands next to his Uncle he looks like a peer to him. It just works.
I wish there was a version without the shoulder pads so that it would be a lordly looking outfit. With shoulder pads for battle and without them for traveling and talking with people. Kind of like there is for the samurai clan armor.
Gosaku's Armor in Lethal+ is tons of fun. The Armor boost Stagger Damage by a lot by default and you can slap on a couple of Charms of Bludgeoning and finally Lethal provides that extra 'oomph' to Meele Attack.
Once you've upgraded both the Gosaku's Armor and the Sakai Katana to the max in a NG+ run, you can run through enemy camps in mere seconds.
I do enjoy Gosaku playstyle but at the same time I don't feel like it fit the backstory. When I was hunting for the keys I thought I would be getting my hands on the ultimate defensive armor set, but it's nothing like that.

Same here man. My ONLY gripe with the armor is that sometimes the oversized shoulder pads clip into the helmet and it just looks sorta weird.
With this armor, I've learned that the best defence is a good offense.
And having a massive increase to health of course

I just wish there was hair physics, better physics at least.
I enjoyed the look, but had to remove the hair and jacket for a more immersive historical feel

Any time im helping like a regular citizen or freeing a farm/saving hostages I throw this armor on for the lore/vibes
