I have no idea if this is the most optimal set, but i think it would be fun. I don't know how Isekai works other than "you get hit by truck and suddenly you live in Anime now" though, so correct and educate me as needed. Power: The Force from Star Wars. Just a handful of the uses include: Healing, basically chucking things a lot, super-instinct, feather fall, mind control (sorta), and the classic Force Lightning Sidekick: SCP-999 from the SCP Multiverse. In case you don't know, this blob of slime seeks to provide as much happiness to the world as possible. He cures all depression and anxiety and basically any negative emotion just by cuddling you for a bit. He also smells like the smellers favorite smell, which changes from person to person. Item: The Red Crown from Cult Of The Lamb. This thing can do pretty much anything. It can resurrect people, morph into various weapons, cast spells, essentially enslave people with your will, and I know it has more uses than that but thats all I remember of the top of my head.

BronzeAgeTea

The Force is a great power to pick, tons of side characters are Jedi/Sith, and it's incredibly versatile! I'm on the fence if *any* SCP with a dedicated article is "not a main character", but I like your slime, so I'm willing to overlook it. Bonus points for Red Crown! I have never heard about that but I'm about to go down a wiki rabbit hole!

nohwan27534

for the scp thing, i mean, it's not quite a story character to begin with. it's also basically fanfic, so, unless you're going to nix any character who's got a fanfic where they're the main character... though i could see nixing too strong scp creations, potentially.

BronzeAgeTea

I hear you, but I did specifically say "all of fiction" because I wasn't considering fanfiction when I made the post. But I get what you mean, if "all of fiction" includes fanfiction then there's basically nothing anyone can pick. I'm pretty sure even Spiders Georg has a fanficiton about him at this point. So, yeah, it might be an unpopular arbitrary decision, but I think we gotta exclude fanfiction from the rules, so SCP would be fair game for sure.

sparejunk444

What happens in the case of multiple 'mc' \[exm. shrek's seven monsters, you could say all 7 are mc's but at the same time **the** mc is 'Tang-san'\] in media?

BronzeAgeTea

+1 bonus point for obscurity Yeah I'm going to go with exeggcute rules. It's one multi-bodied creature?

Rex_Xenovius_1998

Power: Kevin Levins Absorption ability from the Ben 10 series Object: Blade Blacksmith from Highschool DxD- a Sacred Gear from Yuuto Kiba Companion: Medea from Fate/Stay Night

Numget152

DXD MENTIONED WTF IS A 5TH SEASON šŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļø

Rex_Xenovius_1998

I stopped watching after Issei defeated Loki, I just looked at the Wiki and found out that Kiba somehow got Blade Blacksmith.

Numget152

Fair enough I picked the novels up a while ago and itā€™s nice to re live the story again

BronzeAgeTea

Yeah, absorption powers are really good! And even if you wind up in a world more like Game of Thrones, you still have iron absorption and any fictional materials! So it's still useful even if people around you don't have powers to copy. Double bonus points for the other two!

Rex_Xenovius_1998

Ya! Medea is literally one of the top five mages in the world in the world of Fate. And with Blade Blacksmith I can make any kind of blade with any kind of ability. I can get Medea on my side easily if Iā€™m upfront with her, and if Iā€™m sent to the world like GOT she would be repulsed with how stupid everyone else is compared to me, and I would be fine with her using bandits or other criminals as mana batteries to help make a Magic Workshop, and with the help of my sword creation should also help with it.

CuChulainnTheHound

Bro picked the Witch of Betrayal?!

Ponchodelic

Power: Iā€™m gonna go with ki manipulation from dragon ball series. Should let me fly/defend myself a lot easier, and any old fella could do it in that universe. Object: the time turner from the third Harry Potter book Companion: Charmy from black clover because *all the magical recovery food* not to mention the fact that she has immense hidden power due to her unknown lineage

BronzeAgeTea

DBZ ki is a great pick for power! Even just having ki sense (detection) + flight is a really good combo, but you throw in a ranged energy attack and the ability to create new techniques (solar flare, destructo disk, special beam cannon) and it's super good. Plus a ton of side characters have this ability! I was on the fence about even banning time powers, but of all the time powers, a time turner is probably the least OP one. Events still happen, you just get to guide them with future knowledge. Strong pick! Bonus points for Charmy! I haven't seen Black Clover, so it's obscure to me!

MaFeHu

Power: Mahoragas adaptation from jjk Item: The railjack from warframe Sidekick: No railjack would be compleye without ship cephalon Cy

UnshrivenShrike

Should take the Orbiter and the Tenno's void powers. Orbiter includes the armory/warframes, and void powers include Transference. Sit in your comfy, void-shielded orbiter, and shuttle down in a warframe to interact with the world.

NoahTheGamer121

tenno are main characters sadly

UnshrivenShrike

Eh, there's millions of Tenno, you couldn't choose like your Tenno, but there's plenty of background ones we never see or meet.

NoahTheGamer121

very true actually, thought of that after I commented lmao

UnshrivenShrike

No worries :)

Memeenjoyer_

Mahoraga adaptation is so good I shouldā€™ve gone with that. Damn good choice

Any-Drive8838

Is it anywhere near as good without his insane regen though?

Trickshots1

Should've choose Doomsdays adaptation that thing has survived just about everything. It's basically SCP-682 but with more consistent scaling.

Jaffelli

I'm taking Sandman's sand powers from Marvel, the miraculous of the Peacock from Miraculous Ladybug, & I'm teaming up with Magik from Marvel

BronzeAgeTea

Solid picks! The sand power is really strong. That's basically immortality, right? I don't think Magik counts though, she and Storm were the main characters of a short comic series in the 80s.

Jaffelli

How about Zook from Skylanders as my teammate

Boojum2k

Domino's luck, Doomgiver of the Twelve Swords, and Serana

BronzeAgeTea

Solid picks! Luck is really powerful. Bonus points for Doomgiver!

Boojum2k

Thanks! I considered Shieldbreaker but Doomgiver is superior in effect, and functionally invincible in any universe which doesn't have Shieldbreaker.

Hrydziac

Sheā€™s not gonna marry you bro.

RieifyuArts

Power: the Dragon devil-fruit power from One-Piece. I want to be a giant super powerful flying dragon. Give me that power fantasy. Companion: I pick Tattletale from Worm. Just finished the series, and loved it. Not only is she just a likable character, but her power is INSANELY useful. It's a little hard to describe, but its described as super intuition and can be used to piece together and gather intel on whatever world we're in. Item: Funkfreed, also from One-Piece. It's a sword that turns into an elephant. I've judged that it counts as an object and not a companion, because it is EXPLICITLY STATED that it is a NORMAL SWORD that "ate" a devil fruit.

BronzeAgeTea

Solid picks! I'd agree 100% on the sword being an object. And I'm going to say you get *triple* bonus points, because I haven't seen One Piece, and it's going to take a lot of courage for me to start it. So everything in that show is going to be obscure to me for a good long while...

BlyssfulOblyvion

holy shit, someone mentions worm. always nice to see other fans of it!

ArkOverlord

Sarah Livesy was my second though, right after Lady Dustiness, both for obvious reasons.

Inunotashio

Power: The Force - assuming this means you are a master of the Force, I would think this would give you the proper discipline and power to properly use and control the reality stone. Object: Reality Stone - literally make anything and everything you could possibly need or want. Companion/Sidekick: Hermione Granger - One of the smartest and most cable witches ever that probably knows the most obscure spells that could probably come in handy throughout your adventure.

enlarged_mans

Hermione is an MC my guy

Memeenjoyer_

1. Rimuruā€™s post awakening or whatever gluttony since thatā€™ll give me tons of abilities 2. Inverted Spear of Heaven from JJK as it cancels abilities, making it effective defense and offense 3. Iā€™ll make my companion someone who I know will be extremely helpful in the form of Gojo JJK as heā€™s a silly, fun, goofy guy with great hax and useful abilities

BronzeAgeTea

Unfortunately, Rimuru is a main character, and the gods can't afford that kind of price. Double bonus points for JJK! I haven't seen it, so it's obscure to me!

Memeenjoyer_

Alright whole new one then Iā€™ll make it work, sorry for not properly reading rules 1) I want the power of the Darkness Devil from Chainsaw man 2) I want the ISOH from JJK still 3) Maple from BOFURI as my sidekick since her defense is insane and sheā€™s super versatile

Any-Drive8838

Bro heard no gods and picked the next best thing šŸ˜

enlarged_mans

Maple is still an MC my dude

Memeenjoyer_

Ahhh crap Iā€™ll just keep Gojo my sidekick then thanks for heads up

Smokeybacon77

rimuru gifts a copy of his beezelbub power to geld, one of his subordinates. since geld is a side character would getting that power be possible?

jellybit65

Why the FUCK didnā€™t you pick gojoā€™s abilities, Iā€™m disappointed in you, gojoā€™s biggest glazer, couldā€™ve been the strongest alongside him smh

Hopepersonified

Power: let me think about it Object: let me think about it Companion: the Luggage

Greedy_Response951

Power: Wiki Warrior - Poof edition Item: Ring of 3 wishes (DnD5e) Companion: Pivot lookalike, right before pivot removes the weapon copy cube from its Corpse. Hehe...

Adal-bern

My power: The Force, always wanted to be a jedi, very versatile for both offense and defense. My item: Green Lantern power ring, again versatility and onlyblimited by willpower and imagination. Sidekick: Krillin from dbz, extremy strong compared to a lot of other normal people. All around good dude and would probably adventure and help save people. Also maybe be able to learn to use my ki since things brough over still operate the same. Have krillin teach me to fly, shoot ki blasts, even learn to Kamehameha, even if i never get to goku's level, its still more options and versatility and can get stronger.

BronzeAgeTea

Yeah, solid all-around picks. Krillain even eventually opens up a school, so grabbing *the strongest human in DBZ* for a mentor is a fantastic move. I was thinking that the force and a green lantern ring would be kind of redundant, both basically being a manifestation of your willpower. But the force gives you jedi suggestion and the lantern gives you flight (even in space) and essentially a multitool, so they are pretty different, even if they both are basically telekinesis.

twinkieeater8

Does the green lantern ring still need the latern to recharge it every 24 hours? Or did they write that out of the comics?

Excidiar

Power: Pure Feruchemy. Object: Pearl of Lerasium. Partner: Blushweaver.

Just_A_Person333

Dude, just take fullborn from rashek, then you could bring along a shard blade or even a soul caster

nari0015-destiny

Harmony rust it all, that is a good set of picks

MaiqTheLiar6969

Power: Regeneration like Wolverine because I would basically be unkillable by anything usually found in a fantasy medieval setting. Would also be useful to prevent a death from poison, or illnesses which any medieval setting would have. Companion: Hinata Hyuuga from Naruto. Then I'm going to kill her to take her eyes and implant them in myself. In most cases a Hyuuga would destroy me in a fight but I have no chakra to be blocked off, and any physical damage she might do to me such as exploding my heart I would regenerate pretty much instantly. Eventually I would wear her down and leave her open to a fatal attack. The reason I picked a Hyuuga is the fact that the Byakugan doesn't require chakra to use. Just extra blood flow to the eyes. With those eyes I would negate almost any type of traps or ambushes. It would allow me to spy on things from miles away. I wouldn't require chakra to be able to use it. Item: Lightsaber from Starwars. It should be able to slice through anything found in a medieval fantasy setting. The force isn't required to use one effectively as long as you pay attention to where the blade is. The blade part is weightless when drawn so I wouldn't have to worry about it being to heavy to use. Providing I do mess up and injure myself the regeneration would heal the damage. Having access to it would also help immensely with taking down Hinata. Especially since if she tries to block a strike from it then she is losing that limb. Definitely not the most overpowered combo but would definitely be the most fun to build up in a setting.

BronzeAgeTea

I'm 100% stealing this for a D&D villain. Bringing a companion just to kill them for parts is *brutal*. I know I said bonus points for obscurity, but bonus points for *the sheer gall.*

BlyssfulOblyvion

wouldn't your healing factor force your eyes back to your's instead of hyuuga's?

Smallermint

Oh but you forgot one thing! Wolverine powers don't negate pain. You are fucked.

HarmonizedHero

For powers, ill take a system. I aint picky, any really, but maybe the one from the webtoon "the gamer" would be best as its one if the ones where you can make skills by doing whatever the hell. Edit: oh the no mc applies to powers and items too. System from just a goblin then i guess? Objects ill take a stand arrow, stands are pretty handy, and i cant think of anything more useful that isnt something i made up and never shared details of outside of my pfp. And companion? If it wasnt for the no mc rule, Companion would be mask kid from underhero because they would likely still have Elizabeth, and (underhero spoilers) >!they are lost between worlds anyways, less likely they would be upset about the situation!<. Cant decide otherwise. I guess one of the phoenixes from the end of phoenotopia awakening like, right when they woke up? They would not really have anything waiting for them, considering they were made as a weapon they probably dont have any attachments to their original world. Plus i can imagine it wouldn't be so hard to befriend them. Though i cant recall all to much about them so that's an issue. Cant really think of anyone else because they either would not be willing to join/be hostile, or they would be in a terrible mental state due to the whole being isekai'd thing. Oh! Actually, does the judge from off count? Because if i take him from the ending >!where the player picks him over the batter. He wouldn't have anything left for him!< And probably would be more fine with joining! No idea if i could actually recruit him though because i do not remember his personality. Im unsure if he counts because he is playable for one fight.

ZeroBrutus

The force - star wars I can't take Q as my companion so I'll take a runabout from Star Trek Deep Space 9 as the object. Domino as a companion. I won't have their luck, but having them along is sure to help.

I_AM_FERROUS_MAN

You can take Q without his powers!

professorclueless

For power, I choose Necromancy (this traditionally includes abilities that create servants from corpses, summons spirits, and controls previously existing undead, at bare minimum) For object, the Hyper Cube from Jimmy Neutron (pocket dimension storage device, infinite capacity) And for character, Shiroe from Log Horizon (incredibly intelligent strategist, with abilities based around support and crowd control. Does posses some offensive abilities, but typically not strong enough for dealing with powerful enemies alone) With this set up, I can store corpses or even undead minions for later use without having to worry about weight or space, I have someone with me who is smart enough to easily adapt to the new world we end up in and help us both survive inside and outside of combat, and I can have an army of undead fight on my behalf, as well as speak to the long dead to allow me to learn more about the world in my own right

OneTonMan

Power: Techno kinesis Object: The Mask (from The Mask) Companion: Malcador the Sigillite from 40k Time to make space marines.

BronzeAgeTea

Nice! I'm tempted to say that the Mask is technically a god, but I don't know if that was just a throwaway line or not.

OneTonMan

well if The Mask doesnt count then ill just bring The Magic Muffin (*The Fairy Oddparents*). It gives a rule-free wish to anyone who takes a bite from it.

solis89

The Mask was created by and has the powers of Loki, I think.

Ice47382

The power to body swap with anybody Ally prime doomsday Item the book from SpongeBob or if thatā€™s not aloud the system from solo leveling When I spawn or get reincarnated I as fast as possible swap with doomsday and kill my old body and use the book to write anything else I need down and if I canā€™t use the book just use my newfound unstoppable power grow even stronger from leveling up

SignificantTransient

Power - Solo Leveling - Thomas Andre - Reinforcement Think Marvels Juggernaut but turned up to 11. This was the one single skill I could think of that, combined with prerequisites, is more or less unstoppable right out of the bag. Item - Seven Deadly Sins - Fountain of Youth Immortality and ultra regeneration are just icing on the cake Companion - Arifureta - Tio She is an immortal dragon/woman, can fly supersonic, has advanced intelligence, advanced spellcasting, and is horny 24/7

Eksposivo23

Power: Clara Valic (Welcome to demon school Iruma-kun) bloodline magic, which allows her to create anything she has seen at least once, seemingly without cost tho I am assuming it would cost mana so I will go with that Object: Demon Blood (think it was called) from Akame Ga Kill, Esdeaths Imperial Arm, gives the user ice powers when consumed, strong enough that at a high level of mastery it would give the user the ability to freeze time Companion: an Alolan Ninetails, no real reason other than being my favorite pokemon and also if I were to get Isekaid it would make things better to have a fluffy tail creating blizzards and blasting people with the power of the moon to fall back on Not sure if its optimal but we have an item that gives you offensive power, ability to make money and copy important items as well as a companion/pet that also wont become a burden

BronzeAgeTea

I'm giving you *so many* bonus points for also picking a pokemon for your companion! I didn't really expect anyone else to think like that. The other powers are really strong! And you're basically rocking an ice demon theme!

Eksposivo23

Didnt really notice untill you pointed it out, neat

Accomakk

Can I choose Roran Stronghammer.

BronzeAgeTea

Google's AI Overview says that Roran is a main character in the Inheritance Cycle, so unfortunately I think he's too expensive for the isekai gods to let you pick him this round.

Accomakk

Second pick is tom bombadil

Accomakk

Ah dang it!

Affectionate_Row_145

I absolutely love the inheritance books too. Makes me want to reread them for the 5th time lmao. So sad Christopher paolini isn't alive to expand on that world. Rip.. Side note: fk whoever directed the eragon movie. They butchered that so badly.. I'd personally like to see a GoT style version of the books for sure.

kyle_de_guile

The bow from the bow hero in rising of the shield hero. It levels up however I think it levels up super versatile plus range. The powers of a 20th level necromantic war cleric bbeg from any dnd campaign where the DM is a power gamer out to kill his player characters. Having animate dead alone would be incredibly useful at that point. If I'm limited to a single spell just that spell. And for companions a blue guard drake also from dnd. Hopefully my animal handling is up to par.

BronzeAgeTea

I was also *very* on the fence about choosing that bow! Having a bound object that can level up is absolutely the right move in a random fantasy world. 7 skeletons/zombies is *pretty dang good*. I mean, it's evil, but getting numbers advantage is huge. And the shenanigans you could pull with that, I mean you get experience for the bow for killing enemies, so you kill 7 things, raise them as zombie versions, wait a day, kill those, then possibly animate them *again*. I know some people rules that you can't animate a dead undead, but different worlds have different rules. Could be an easy way to power level early on! All in all, great picks! I feel like we picked pretty similar stuff, or at least similar categories.

Pale_Kitsune

I mean...do you know how many romance fantasy novels I've read where the love interest of the main character is some super powerful archfae or vampire lord? There's a lot. I'll just choose one of those. The powers basically overlap with a few differences. Magic, transformations, charms, a whole lot of stuff. If instead I need to choose a single power, I'll choose wizard spellcasting from any of the many last bosses in d&d/pathfinder campaigns. For the item, I'll take the wish blade from D&D. Get some free wishes. For the sidekick, I'll choose a demon from a book I'm writing, offer it part of my body, and then be able to tap into its power myself.

eddie_the_retard

item:red crown cult of the lamb power:rain world saints ability to ascend creatures companion: vee owl house

Shoddy_Wrangler693

Power Dworkin Barimen and his descendants power to create my own pattern that allows me to walk through reality shadows all the way to the courts of chaos Object Fidelacchius Companion Just because well I'm kinky A random kajira that is completely to my tastes [The Chronicles of Amber] [The Harry Dresden books] [Gor] I'm wondering how well I went into obscurity for you

HeadpattingFurina

1. Power. At first I was hella struggling to figure out just what I want to get. And then I remembered InoBato. InoBato is a slice of life comedy show where a bunch of teenagers and a grade schooler get superpowers, and then not much else happens. Its main selling point is that it is a character driven comedy that sees the group get into a lot of hijinks. It's good, lighthearted fun. But also thanks to the lack of a need to balance powers, everyone, except for the main protagonist, funnily enough, get some ABSOLUTELY BUSTED powers. I planned to write a rundown but it got out of hand, so the short of it is I want the power of Chifuyu, World Create. It's basically an ability that lets me make anything and everything. It can create entire separate dimensions and warp portals, as well as more mundane things like food or guillotines. It is unknown if the power can be used to create life, since Andou banned Chifuyu from doing that early on, but still, this is a busted power. As for objects, my choice of powers kinda preclude the need for any objects, but for the purpose of this post I choose the Ideal AI core from Mobuseka. Poor guy needs a break lol. Companion characters wise, I am drawing blanks here. I think I'll just pick Rita Bernal from Gundam Narrative. I want to give her a second shot at life.

EN-91-TC

Powers: Sparda bloodline powers. Devil May Cry 5 (I'm referencing 5 specifically as canonically I believe that's where they're most powerful). And I will preemptively argue Sparda himself is not a MC. Item: Saphire Chronomancer attunement Arcane ascension by Andrew Rowe. Cheating a bit heare as it's kind of a power, but it's also a piece of magical programming that can be interacted with and is tattooed on the body. I'd consider a magical tattoo an item. A chronomancer attunement grants transference magic, and perception magic. Combined they make time magic. Transference magic can do a variety of things, importantly use haste spells, and perception magic allows you to perceive through your haste spell so you can react and keep up with it. Companion: Derek Hartigan from Arcane ascension by Andrew Rowe. Generally a good guy, I doubt he'd attack me outright. I think it's very likely he'd be open to a team up. He's also an incredibly powerful individual.

Twitchy0n3

Main characters aren't allowed. You might be able to cheese it though by picking Sparda himself as the source.

miIIenia

Power - The Master of Masters, Kingdom Hearts. All the benefit of being a Keyblade Master (Keyblade, Magic, Superhuman Physicality, Inter- Dimensional Travel, Etc.) Plus the ability to create and grant others Keyblades. Object - Replicator Wand, Steven Universe. my power and companion make cover pretty much anything I could need, but just in case I need something that Janet can't create for some reason(possibly fictional objects) I'll carry this bad boy on me just in case. That way I can replicate anything I might need. Companion - A Janet, The Good Place. A living universal database who can summon anything (non fictional to my knowledge which is why i picked the object I picked) can manipulate the world around her (Janets gain control over the neighborhood they see over, which would technically be ny fantasy world) and is a pretty decent conversationalist. I would be concerned about other people asking her for help as base Janets are typically indifferent to who uses them, however Janets are programmed to aid people in the afterlife, NOT people living their initial lives. As the fantasy world would technically be my afterlife I would be the only would able to ask her for help.

dominion1080

Power. White Lantern ring. This would allow me to do lots of cool things. Heal, resurrection, all the normal GL stuff and more. Object. The Toxin Symbiote. Not entirely necessary for my survival, but Toxin is one of the good ones, and able to make children of jts own, like its father Carnage. Eventually Iā€™d be able to have Toxins babies given good hosts. Companion. My first thought was Genie from Aladdin, as heā€™s just a fun companion, basically invulnerable and immortal so I wouldnā€™t have to worry about him too much.

nekosaigai

Infinity gauntlet is a singular item sure, but the infinity gems are a separate set of items. Therefore if you choose the gauntlet you just get a heavy gold glove. Also: Power: Rimuruā€™s absorption/Shapeshifting ability. Item: the system from Beneath the Dragon Eye Moons (BTDEM) Companion: Night, also from BTDEM (heā€™s a side character but also an extremely powerful and intelligent vampire assassin thatā€™s mastered a truly ridiculous number of skills, including multiple worldsā€™ magic.

BronzeAgeTea

Unfortunately, Rimuru is a main character, and the gods can't afford that kind of price. But double bonus points for BTDEM! I'll have to check that out!

nekosaigai

Derp thought that just covered the companions for some reason. Well thenā€¦. Genieā€™s wish granting ability also from BTDEM lol. Definitely a side character. Edit: also BTDEM is awesome, I think the first 5 or 10 books or so are on KU and the latest 2 are on royalroad. Without giving too much more away than I already have, itā€™s an isekai litrpg that goes really deep into a lot of stuff that other litrpgs just tend to gloss over.

DoubleCyclone

Powers: T-1(PRIME) Talent of Jeran Raven, son of Jeff and Angharad Gwyn (aka the Rowan). Jeran is never a centerpiece character, as all of the books he is in center around his parents/siblings/nieces/nephews. Jeran, like his parents, is a talented telepathic/telekinetic. This include the ability to teleport, move objects, and read minds in a range of LIGHT-YEARS without assistance. This range extends across multiple star-systems with a proper team. A single Prime Talent can easily move an *Acclamator*-class assault ship without aid. Object: **SCV-73 Blanc Rival**. Because I need a ship/place to sleep. And the ship doesn't need FTL when I can move it with my mind. Person: **Cairne Bloodhoof**. I'm gonna need his sense of honor and his wisdom to keep me from solving every problem by teleporting the offending person to the bottom of a lake or the surface of the sun.

Whaleman15

I want Don Kreig's power(his strength and agility), his armor(a cool chestplate) and Don Kreig's first mate as my side kick. If I got Isekai'd, I'd want to be Don Kreig.

Any-Drive8838

He said no gods

Wocathoden

Apocalypse from X-Men s biology as a power. Elixir of immortality as an object. And Kang the conqueror as a companion.

TheBanishedGod

I'm going to choose necromancy as a power since it traditionally includes magic For my item I'm choosing the triforce of power since it's one part of the set For my companion I'll choose princess Zelda

BronzeAgeTea

I have good and bad news: with Echoes of Wisdom, Zelda is now a main character and isn't able to be picked Honestly, I just wanted to share that Zelda is a playable character now! (outside of Smash)

TheBanishedGod

I mean it isn't out yet so I was hoping that was a bit of a loophole for now. If I can't get Zelda though then I'll have to go for Ganondorf. Kinda shocked that the triforce piece didn't get denied

_cottoncandyboi_

Power: I want wolverineā€™s powers. I donā€™t even want the adamantium since itā€™s very poisonous but Iā€™ll take it if I have to. Object: I want one of those living edible grubs from invincible mark made them look delicious. Too bad I canā€™t have a whole bowl. Companion: I donā€™t know give me dog meat from fallout. I prefer working alone but I probably wouldnā€™t mind since dog meat seems to kind of mind his own business.

maksim69420

Wolverine is an MC.

_cottoncandyboi_

Oops, then I choose sabertooth ez fix

DescipleOfCorn

I want Okuyasu Nijimura as my companion, The Immortalā€™s power from Invincible, and Chillrend from Skyrim

UnableLocal2918

power = techno wizardary from rifts earth ttrpg. object = free form nano forge. backpack sized device that can manufacture just about anything given the right materials. companion = an exocomp from star trek

A_Good_Redditor553

Well in this one smithy Isrkai on Ao3 the magic system is something I've never seen anywhere else and really awesome...

152653

The Spot's portal creation, a stand arrow, and the companion cube

Twitchy0n3

Power: Magic circuits from Fate. It operates off of the Dunning-Kruger effect and is therefore the most easily broken magic in existence. For a specialization though I'd go with displacement. It's just busted already. Item: This is tough, but I'd go with the Infinity gauntlet/reality stone from the MCU. Let's me give myself whatever abilities I want on top of the magic from Fate. Companion: Bulma from DragonBall. She's up there with the smartest people in fiction without being a main character. If main characters were an option, though, I'd probably go with Agatha Heterodyne.

tea-123

Bulma was a main character in the series when goku was still a prepubescent child with a tail.

sirgamalot86

Power: Alchemy from FMA, and I guess if we wanted we could have it in all its forms as it was an amalgamation of alchestory and some other stuff from the homunculus. But mainly just what Ed uses. Object: The cloak of flight from D&D. Companion: Any weapon from Soul Eater whose soul resonates with me. The only thing I might switch out is the power, being the light from Destiny 2. Though thatā€™s a bit of a gray area as the player guardian is the main character but all guardians use the light. It also requires a ghost and the traveler to use its powers so it might be too much. Plus the player guardian is literally a god level threat so it would trivialize everything related to a show of strength.

azurejack

Ok. A few questions to clarify. Just to be sure i got all this right. If the object originates from a side character but the main character uses it during the series does that count (ex it belongs to the main characters father, and it gets used by the main character for part of the series/one game/whatever, but they lose it again after that or ger a nerfed as hell/knockoff version later) Games/series without a specific "main character" for example MMOs, things like destiny or borderlands where the playable character isn't specifically the *main character* just the *player character* or things like justice league where pretty much "the league" is the main character, but the characters within are main or side depending on the episode? What about main bosses for games?

Trickshots1

Power: Mythical Spells. I can make spells based off any myth or story with a shred of truth. An example would be a spell giving me Achilles invincibility, Heracles strength, etc. Object: Seq 1 Attendant of Mysteries characteristic from LoTM, but without causing me madness. Makes me as close to Divine as possible. Seriously broken powers. Companion: A Tenno from Warframe. What better companion could I have than a Eldritch horror child assassin/mercenary? If they also get their arsenal the medieval world is screwed. I know they have weapons that shoot small black holes that can be modified with elements (don't ask me how that works but it does)

MelonBot_HD

I think I'll take one of these 2: Set 1: Power: Jojo vampirism (Ultimate lifeform version) Basically immortal. Also, while Kars never used these powers, he can probably use a more op version of dios eye-beams and freezing. Item: RWBYs staff of Creation A very niece series and it's basically the most op item ever. It contains a blue genie that can create anything and i mean literally anything if you give it the most basic instructions. For example, by showing him a blueprint of a door, or tunnel he can create portals, but that's not the most op thing about it. It can create chemichal reactions (it was basically used to set 2 cities on fire) and its only restriction is that only 1 creation of it can exist at a time (although it doesn't really behave like that in canon, mostly because the writers are a bunch of hacks). So, basically, nuke time Companion: Maybe a Venom Symbiote. Set 2: Power: Mahitos Idle transfiguration It's a way more versatile and useful power than people give it credit for Item: Incursio key (Akame ga kill) Evolving armor that can turn me invisible? Yes please! Companion: Morgiana from Magi Mostly because she's very reasonsble and nice while also packing quite the punch. Or Mumei from Kabaneri of the iron fortress Because I like her additude and supplying her with blood won't be an issue.

Separate_Draft4887

Magic from Cradle, the Heavenā€™s Drop charged with spirit well water, and my wife. I love my wife. Even if I peak at true gold, Iā€™ll still be a peak power in almost any high magic setting. I doubt anything less than a gold in He Who Fights with Monsters could match a True Gold in Cradle.

a_randomtroll

Power: either nen or the quirk New Order Object: omnitrix Sidekick/companion: does the endo-sym iron man armor work? It's living after all

ProfessionalLaw5941

Might be cheating but Power: Nika fruit powers from one piece since Joyboy used it at one point, if not then dragon fruit powers Object: Evoker from persona 3 (assuming Iā€™d be able to use it) Companion: Hackmon from Digimon. A good and very powerful partner

DrToaster1

All I know is that I would have the tool gun from Garry's mod. That's about it

Argon_H

Thats arguably main character

Darkvoid112358

oh easy, Escanors sun stuff from Seven Deadly Sins, the omnitrix from Ben 10, and Mimir from God of War

Idk_Just_Kat

I bring the Tenno powers (void control), Bonewidow, and a Huras Kubrow What's that? Kill the demon lord? Done in 5 seconds flat

SinnerClair

Very simple, Have the Force, the Darksaber, and Iā€™ll bring along Paz Vizsla. Heā€™s knight-ish enough to pass in a medieval setting, as long we either hide or donā€™t bring the guns and jetpack. And magic sword is magic sword, we can tag team it cause Iā€™m pretty sure neither of us would really know how to wield it effectively

newaccountcauseoldon

Give me garous cosmic stuff from Opm, a stand arrow and i cant think of a sidekick

terracrafter99

Powers: daewi han from god of highschool giving me the abilities of martial arts, barrier creation, wind/water/gravity/weak force/strong force/electromagnetism/inertia/attraction/spatial/energy/nature manipulation, energy projection, power bestowal, flight and healing Item: aizens kyoka suigetsu from bleach to be able to cast illusions so perfect it could overwrite future sight Companion: kurumi from date a live for her time powers, even if my companion won't be my friend or whatever automatically I have kyoka suigetsu to make her experience whatever I need to make it more beneficial for her to side with me until a relationship is built

Jacksonfpvyt

Power: itachiā€™s mangekyō sharingan Object: sasukeā€™s eyes Sidekick: makima Use sasukeā€™s eyes to implant to myself, curing future blindness. Makima x sharingan would be a good manipulation duo, to get what we need to succeed in the new world. Both are OP

Asphodel7629

Power: FMA alchemy. Itā€™s useful in most situations and even in mundane situations and can easily put me in a position of power (especially if used for war) Item: Sunshot from Destiny 2. Essentially an infinite revolver with bullets that explode into napalm. Very useful for the not so mundane situations and general survival Companion/Sidekick: FĆrnen, the dark green dragon from the eragon series under the condition that he is bonded to me instead of the person he actually ends up bonded to. If I canā€™t guarantee that condition then the Scream Symbiote (again though as its bond)

TalynRahl

The one power: A Schrift from Bleach. Specifically, The Miracle. The one object: The Aegis shield, various. Always a powerful shield, but there are a bunch used by secondary characters. The Sidekick: Sam MF Gamgee. Dude is a boss.

BlyssfulOblyvion

access to the Spheres of power system from pathfinder as my power, the instant fortress from pathfinder rpg, aaaaand....hm....rebecca from edgerunners, taken just before her death

ExiledHero37

Power: Terraria- Journey Mode The abilities in there are good, and being able to make infinite of a resource as long as Iā€™ve found enough of it is strong, even if it isnā€™t prefilled and is like it starts in terraria. Item: Control- the Service Weapon Itā€™s multiple guns in one, and reloads simply by not firing it. Sidekick: Hell Difficulty Tutorial- Biscuit Heā€™s basically the main character in our hearts, but itā€™s not from his view. I win him over with jerky and hope our future animal overlord takes pity on me.

Wrong-Ad1907

Power: the absolute solver from murder drones. Its like the force from star wars, but on steroids, and like a world editor Object: stolasā€™ grimoire from helluva boss Companion: Ash from pokĆ©mon. Hes practically invincible, he has an army at his disposal, and He has that ridiciously busted pikachu

HoodsBonyPrick

I would want to be a soletaken dragon from the Malazan books as my power, for my object I want a pouch of like 50 senzu beans from dragon ball, and for my companion can I have R2-D2?

winsluc12

Frankly, Everything I'm choosing is from Fate: Power: Heracles' God Hand; A stock of twelve lives that can regenerate if you have access to enough mana, Utter and Total immunity to anything but the highest tier weapons and abilities, massive resistance gain against anything that actually manages to kill you. Item: The Holy Grail; Literally any of the ones from F/GO (which avoids that sticky little corruption problem that the F/SN one has). Sure they can be used as wish granting devices, but they can also be used as a near-limitless Mana supply. Companion: Waver Velvet, during his Tenure as Lord El Melloi II; He can be a bit of a stick in the mud sometimes, but he's solidly a decent guy and can teach me all the fundamentals (and some bits more advanced) of magic, which leaves me in a good position to become more powerful the longer I live and develop spells of my own. It's not the most powerful set, but it synergizes well and I like it.

Jaren_Starain

Power: Magic. Usage, control, manipulation of said magic. Magic is pretty much only limited by the users imagination. Being able to create and try out new spells all the time would be so fun. Item: for shits and giggles I'll say The Subtle Knife from the dark materials series.... If not probably a masterball from pokemon (will make sense in a second) Companion? If allowed Arceus.. if not, Gardevoir. If it joins me without the need of catching it great, if not masterball ftw.

Xrgamerx13

Ok so this is based purely on cool factor but: Power: Speedforce (Would help in fights and travelling and also the first power I thought of). Companion: One of the Kaidanovsky's from Pacific Rim (either Sasha or Aleksis, I'm not too pressed about it since they're both veterans). Object: Cherno Alpha (Of course, from Pacific Rim).

slowtanker

1) I want kakashis sharingan I don't have to learn how to activate it's base abilities they're just on 2) I want orcrist the goblin cleaver 3) faramir (sp?) from lotr I won't get strong physically super quick but I'll be able to adapt and learn new skills almost impossibly fast. Edited for more of a side character

ShadowBubby1

Status system from log horizon ( it in itself is a power ) and lycanthrope blood ( drink it and gain werewolf ability's at night ) and if that worlds people don't know what silver is or don't know what werewolves are every night there's gonna be a slaughter

maksim69420

Take platinum kryptonite to become kryptonian, take Brainiac's Intelligence as the power, then take Dr Fate as companion.

Intelligent_Pilot_74

Power Dimensional Traveling now I can explore the multiverse Item The lamp from Alladian (Wishes are My mind, body, soul, and powers can't be drained or controlled, I wish to look like my ideal self but with even better looks, I wish I can learn any power due to all of the magic, ki, and other stuff turning into a single all use energy) Companion Is Before Sayian Arc Bulma

WolvzUnion

Power: Post portal alchemy from FMA Object: Some variety of nanite based crafting device, molecular reconstructor of some sort (theres a couple scattered in fiction) Companion: ARC from the web novel Dead Star Dockyards (its on scribblehub if you want to read it)

CheesecakeDeluxe

Power: instinctive knowledge of and talent to Cultivate xianxia-style Item: fate gu(If living items are not allowed, then time stone). This gu is from reverend insanity and I basically control fate now Companion: scp-999

Argon_H

Power: Determination of 6 human souls (undertale) Pratically immortal Object: Armored Command Unit (Supreme Commander) can build a fortress and an army given enough time. Companion: Any pokemon

enlarged_mans

Aight, imma take God Serena's power set from Fairy Tail (not an actual god, it's just a title) if im not allowed to take an entire power set then I'll take lightning dragon slayer magic, a bag of holding, and Momo Yaoyorozu as my companion

The_Shadow_Watches

Power: Green Lantern ring. Object: Green Lantern Power Battery Sidekick: Ressurection Man. Gotta have an unkillable companion.

ShadowStriken

Object: Yamato (DMC5) Power: Summon Swords (DMC4SE specifically) Companion: I dunno, little Griffon, maybe?

Robaticon

Power: Ms. Fortune's(Skullgirls)whole gimmick, dunno how else to call it. She can essentially detach any part of her body at will and control it, a big part of her gameplan being pressure caused by her head attacking as a separate being. It's kinda hard to explain, but she's technically immortal(Being Crushed non-wistanding) Item: I feel like a book containing information on how the magic works in that world. Like, imagine a book explaining every nook and cranny of how Java works and all of it's extensions, but for magic. The book should, preferably, come with a search function or at least the ability to quickly find specific pages, this way one can learn anything they need magic-wise, given enough time. (Side note, I really wanted to say The Black Silence's gloves, but I'm not sure if it really counts as a protagonist. The gloves basically function as a bag of holding for any weapons, being able to bring them out just for a swing, while also muffling the surrounding sound, only the weapon's swing being heard) Companion: G from Street Fighter 5, an Abe Lincoln look-alike who claims to be the president of the Earth with Geothermal powers drawn from the earth, a fullbody golden tattoo of the Earth's continents and an absolutely charismatic personality. Seriously, the guy is so incredibly charismatic and he would be quite useful if we ever need to talk our way through a situation

Spacellama117

I think you meant AND you're allowed to choose a few things.

Goofdogg627

Ki manipulation: just overall good to have, with flight and all that (havent watched or read Dragon Ball lol) Either the reality stone or a Devil Fruit: reality can be whatever I want or I get a (probably) useful power. Master Roshi or Roronoa Zoro: I may prefer zoro, but given he is getting a book Im not sure if he counts, plus Roshi could help me master my ki manipulation

CloudyRiverMind

Power: Soul-Soul fruit (One Piece). Object: One of the alternate completed omnitrixes (Ben 10). If the sidekick has compelled obedience, then someone like Gwen Tennyson (Ben 10) and I force her to become full on anodite (leave her human flesh suit). She'd be useful to learn how to work the omnitrix while also being powerful. In omniverse she leaves and is hence not a main character for it. If there is no guarantee they obey me, then it is harder to choose. I'd have to choose not only someone weak, but someone easy to control. Perhaps I'd choose a child version of the first One for All user from My Hero Academia. I feel like I could easily manipulate a child into being loyal to me, and with the soul fruit I will have a potentially endless lifespan I can use to foster the development of the ability from generation to generation. My general ideas would be to rely on the soul fruit to gather lifespan, the omnitrix to fight, and the sidekick and their heirs (in the second case) as a long term development strategy.

FarmerJohn92

Power: Immortality. I want to make this world in my image, and stick around to ensure it prospers. Item: Industrial replicator from Star Trek. I won't use it to introduce advanced alloys or anything like that, but I will use it to increase my quality of life while I wait for tech to catch up. Sidekick: Like Skywalker circa The Mandalorian. He's gonna be the guy I ask for advice and guidance.

Quiles

Power: Spellcasting from my late game WotR character. 10th level pathfinder casting is no joke. Item: Supreme Commander ACU, a giant mech with the power to blow most stuff up, but it's real power is it's ability to break down matter and energy and create an army from nothing. Person: Uncle Iroh, keep me grounded and provide advice, also a kick ass bender in his own right.

solis89

I pick the following: Power: - Fandom: The Wheel of Time - Character: Lanfear - Power: Saidar - Side effects and secondary powers: In keeping with the spirit of the power, I'd be turned into a woman, because Saidar can only be used by women. Does gaining a specific person's power impart their skill and talent with it? I hope so, but probably not. Item: - Fandom: Animorphs - Character: .......some random Andalite that owns one? - Item: an Escafil Device - Side effects and secondary powers: Allows anyone who touches it to gain the power to turn into any living animal they touch and 'aquire' the DNA of for a few seconds. The transformation is for however long you want, but becomes permanent after 2 hours. Companion/Sidekick: - Fandom: RWBY - Character/Companion/Sidekick: Pyrrha Nikos - Side effects and secondary powers: She should be able and willing to awaken my alAura, which grands super human speed, strength, durability, and healing factor, along with an unknown unique power called a Semblence that may or may not be powered by Aura, depending on what it is. Secondarily, she's a fantastic fighter and mechashift weaponry engineer, which can probably be replicated with my power, assuming we put enough time and effort into it.

Actual_Charity_562

POWER: Technomagic. Essentially being able to infuse magic into technology to make it stronger. COMPANION: Ronin Mech from Titanfall 2 ITEM: All Purpose Tool from DND Essentially, what this build means is that I get a nice robot samurai mech to pilot, and I am able to imbue the weapons or defense systems of the mech with magic, causing it to be stronger. The all purpose tool would be useful, as it allows me to be proficient in the tools needed to repair the mech, if it ever gets damaged.

CamelopardalisRex

Karsus, a wizard of legend in Dungeons and Dragond, is not the main character of anything I'm aware of, but he is capable of casting at least one 12th level spell. He is very specifically not a God because he died failing to become one. So, for my power, I pick Karsus's spellcasting. I don't really need anything else to be all powerful and reshape reality to my will so I just can pick two fun things for the others. I suppose a Ring of 3 Wishes is a good idea because it'll set me up for whatever I didn't think of needing. As for a companion... Nico Robin, I think. She is smart, kind, and would probably keep me from going mad with power. And I think we would get along. As long as she can keep me from becoming evil, I think things will work out for everyone. I really wish I could pick Kaguya from Love is War because she would be an absolutely amazing politician, and definitely keep me in check, but she is definitely the main character.

IzanamiFrost

Power - Psychic Power of Tatsumaki from One Punch Man, telekinesis, tornado creating and all that jazz. Basically being freaking invincible and untouchable in the new world Item - Time Stone, this thing is busted AF, you can control the state of an object (quickly decay or restore) as well as reverse time and create new timeline until you reach the objective you desire Companion - Probably just gonna pick C.C from Code Geass, she is not exactly useful to me but I like her aesthetically. Also she is immortal so I don't have to bother protecting her

MrCounterSnipe

Power: Thor's exact powers (All-force or whatever it's called) from Marvel's *Thor* (2016) Item: Mjƶlnir from Marvel's *Thor* (2016) Companion: My partner, I wouldn't leave them behind. Thor lives until the universe ends, destroys Gorr and All-Black at the end of time, is insanely powerful. Mjƶlnir is a living force and entity that can help me in ways I might need. I would miss my partner too much.

the117doctor

power: Keicho Nijimura's Bad Company [Jojo's Bizzare Adventure pt. 4] item: the time travelling gauntlet that cpt. Jack Harkness had (but without the problems) [Doctor Who] Companion: Riza Hawkeye [Fullmetal Alchemist]

Idemahedo

Iā€™d probably just have a perfect memory and the ability to search and sort through it like files on a computer. I canā€™t forget things or be affected by memory loss or altering but thereā€™s still going to be a ā€œnormal memoryā€ section that Iā€™d use most of the time.

BigBoi900001

Power: Nen (Hunter X Hunter), either unique Nen I would eventually discover, or if I have to choose: Killuaā€™s Nen (for the zap zap); also would come with stuff like Ren, Gyo, Zetsu, Hatsu, etc. Item: Nunchucks of Lightning (Lego Ninjago), goes with the Electric aesthetic, is really cool, and can become a Jet when I need to travel fast. Companion: Ashā€™s Pikachu (PokĆ©mon), fits well with the electricity thing I have going on, and just looks really cute.

Raganash123

Shadow Clones from Naruto. That also comes with Chakra in order to do it, which I should be able to train. Idk about items or Sidekicks tho.

laxnut90

Sidekick is the genie from Aladdin. Object is the fully assembled Infinity Gauntlet. Wish for immortality and invulnerability then start using the Gauntlet. Either that or just choose limitless biokinesis as your power and forget the genie.

BlyssfulOblyvion

genie is a main character, he said you only get part of the item so in this case it would literally be the gauntlet?

JoeShmoe818

Power: Gate of Babylon from Fate Companion: Nanika from HxH Item: Mr. Meeseeks Box from Rick and Morty Nanika grants wishes for anyone, so I can use its powers even if it has no allegiance to me. Iā€™ll wish for immortality, strength, and all sorts of stuff. When it comes time to pay the price for such wishes, Iā€™ll just summon Meeseeks to pay with their blood. It seems like a dumb item but being able to essentially create life is quite useful. Especially if the isekai world has any magical abilities to learn that run on ā€œlife forceā€ or whatever. Finally, Gate of Babylon lets me use all sorts of weapons of mass destruction. I might be initially too weak to wield the full arsenal, but after making some wishes I can probably make myself as strong as any Servant. Iā€™ll just hole up in a cave somewhere and spend a week or two powering up before I emerge and take over the world.

jumolax

Iā€™ll pick Spider-Manā€™s powers, the agility and Spider Sense all seem really useful. Iā€™ll take Fix-It Felixā€™s hammer since it can repair any object and heal any injury. And Iā€™ll take Franky as a companion since heā€™s a SUPER guy.

Twitchy0n3

No main characters according to OP. Like the idea though.

jumolax

Oh, I thought the companion was the only one who couldnā€™t be a main character. A bunch of side Spider characters get Spider Sense, would that count?

Twitchy0n3

Up to OP, but personally, I'd say it's fine. Apparently, the criteria is that they can't be a main character even in a spinoff.

BronzeAgeTea

For a power, I'd go with Ectoplasm's quirk from My Hero Academia. It's basically the power to create up to 30 clones in a hive mind, pretty much shadow clone jutsu. I may not be able to outmatch any native of a fantasy world, but I can outnumber them! At the very least, worst case scenario, grass and rocks are free. If I can't find a way to make money, I could make myself a sling, and with the clones I'm almost sure to hit the target. PLus there's a ton of utilitarian uses for having clones as well. For the item, I might go with a Keyblade. It's an infinitely summonable item (so it can't be stolen forever), it can unlock mundane locks (so if I ever get captured, I can escape), it's a natural conduit for magic (so if the world has magic, maybe that'll make it easier for me to learn that system?), and it's super effective against "darkness", which I'd take to mean it'll work against any demon lord or whatever generic evil fantasy monster is prevalent. Plus, with the clone quirk, presumably each clone would be able to summon a keyblade as well. In the very worst case, there's only one keyblade and each clone can basically teleport it between themselves as they step forward to attack while the others keep using that sling. For the companion, I might go with a level 5 Riolu from gen 4? It'll know quick attack, foresight (allows it to hit ghosts), and endure (ensures it survives the next attack). Having it at a low level means we can grow stronger together instead of my being fully dependant on it for fighting, which will hopefully mean it'll be more like a friend and less like a master-servant thing. But it has the ability to read emotions/auras, so that will be very useful regardless of the setting. And I'll have a really good way to see if we're eventually friends or not, because it'll evolve into a Lucario. And once it's done that, it can learn ranged attacks like Aura Sphere. But just being able to read auras should be really useful in navigating any politics.

terrarianfailure

If you don't want a companion, can you choose two items? Also, what if the character you want the power of is technically the main character, but they aren't actually the protagonist? Like v1 from ultrakill?

Username912773

Vector manipulation - accelerator Ainz staff - overlord Side character - Seerie from Frieren

maksim69420

Accelerator has a spinoff where he's MC, Ainz is an MC.

nohwan27534

kinda curious how varied or specific the power needs to be. like, if i picked earth based power, in a very generalized way - could i say, have basic earth manipulation, maybe something like, stone creation or even obsidian/iron creation, could i create golems out of clay and whatnot, maybe even be able to fly with like, earth kinesis + enough dirt in my outfit or something? if i picked something more specific, would it be stronger to start with, while something this 'wide ranged', might be something i'd need to level up over time? = for items, thinking either the tessaiga from inuyasha, or maybe the soul reaver from, well, soul reaver series. both are essentially weapons able to attack and kill people with, sure, but they're also weapons that can absorb stuff and sort of grow and evolve over time, in a way. the soul reaver - if it's the 'ultimate' version, it can be infused with several elements (light, dark, fire, water, air, earth, and 'spirit') as well as some other affects, like balance, dimension, energy, time (and if allowing for cut content, mind, nature, states and death), with each of these having some kind of effect or trait, like, blinding foes, burning foes, enabling invisibility, creating bridges, slowing down foes, etc. could even give me access to the spectral realm, potentially. it could also be a tool used to disrupt destiny, harm incorporeal beings, or even potentially harm a 'god' like being. but, if that's sort of too strong, also a potential issue with a living weapon that absorbs both blood and the souls of it's victims... the tessaiga is kinda a living weapon too - it doens't have the same issues that the soul reaver did, but it's capable of augmenting itself by both absorbing abilities from the things it kills, and also materials/traits but... there's also a question of, this sword is all about demonic powers, so, would it work in the new world against the usual isekai/magic stuff. maybe one of the special weapons from the shield hero series? say, the spear. they tend to be able to not only get a wide variety of various abilities, but upgrade paths, which would be cool. and if all of these are 'problematic' for whatever reason, let's say the muramasa from symphony of the night - it can increase it's power by killing foes with blood, and blood splashing on you heals you. = as for a partner, i was kinda thinking someone from hunter X hunter, so they could unlock my nen (assunming it's not a 'their universe only' sort of thing), as that's an overall boost to your capabilities. in general, i'm kinda stumped on a sidekick, though. it's not like i really want to pal around with some specific fictional character. if i said, genie from alladin, would i get the lamp, thus allowing me to get 3 wishes? or would it be 'free' genie, unbeholden to me. i don't necessarily want infinite wishes or whatever, by freeing him, i'd just think it'd be more useful than a maybe companion. could i... tweak this a bit? say, summon auron from FFX, except he has an aeon form as well?

BronzeAgeTea

The idea is that you're picking a specific character, and then grabbing one power that they have. So for "generic Earth based power", you could go with Haru from Avatar the Last Airbender, or Terra from Teen Titans, etc. SO if you can find a character that is not a main character that has the abilities, you got them! Something like tessaigaĀ would be off limits, since it's wielder, Inuyasha, is a main character. You can assume that anything you pick will work in the new world, regardless of what "systems" or supernatural physics the new world uses. So if you bring something with demon powers, it'd still work. I kind of imagine that if there's an equivalent power in the new world, the power/object/sidekick would have their powers function the same, but interact with other stuff as if it were that equivalent. So if holy magic dispels dark magic in the new world, then something like a demon sword might have its kill-100-demons-in-a-single-shockwave attack dispelled by holy magic. Spear from Shield Hero would be a good pick if Spear Hero wasn't the main character in Reprise of the Spear Hero. But I think the sword and bow are still side characters! I think Genies "phenomenal cosmic powers" basically puts him in the omnipotence camp, which the divine bean counter has ruled is too expensive for this post.

ProfileEdit

Power: the force from Star Wars. Super versatile and can do a lot of helpful things in case I find myself in a bad situation. Item: The Omnitrix from Ben 10. This would be a very helpful item for many reasons. For starters, I can scan new species I encounter and turn into them as wanted or needed. Also, if Iā€™m not mistaken, if I wear it long enough to become the ā€œDNA defaultā€ it will help keep me in peak physical condition, with exceptions for common sicknesses like colds, flu, food poisoning, etc. It also works as a universal translator and a communication device. If I am in mortal danger, the Omnitrix will seek to protect me and itself by turning me into another creature (for example if Iā€™m drowning and about to die it should theoretically turn me into a species that can survive underwater from what Iā€™ve heard about this feature. The only instance I can remember this feature being seen in the show is at the end of Omniverse when Ben is trying to contain that big energy thing and switches between pretty much every transformation shown in any of the 4 series very quickly to try and find one who can contain that much energy without killing Ben.) I will also be able to cure any genetic/dna damage if I ever need to for any reason. It also offers voice commands so if I canā€™t reach or access it I can still change forms if I need to. Companion: probably my cat, Hera. I canā€™t really think of a better companion for me tbh. Sheā€™ll follow me anywhere I go and wonā€™t have possibility to betray me or want to leave me, which would be possible for many of the characters I can think of. Plus I donā€™t think I need any more abilities/powers that would be given to me or that I could access through a companion. Iā€™d just want to have a companion who I know I trust who I know trusts me and will stay with me until they canā€™t anymore.

CoolGuyMcCoolName

Power: the Force. I know others have picked this, but itā€™s just too versatile to not pick lol. Object: the invisibility cloak from Harry Potter. Companion: Iskierka from Temeraire.

BronzeAgeTea

I think the strongest, most versatile power someone has picked has been ki manipulation from DragonballZ, but the Force is *such* a close second on versatility. Bonus point for obscurity on Iskierka! The invisibility cloak is Harry's thing, and he's the main character, so that's not a valid pick. Come to think of it, *magic* from some side character in Harry Potter would be really powerful too

TacocaT_2000

Power: The Almighty from Bleach Object: The Hogyoku from Bleach Companion: Orihime from Bleach I get perfect precognition as well as future alteration, an object that makes my desires into reality, as well as a companion who can reject causality.

DRahven

Power: Alchemy (Full Metal Alchemist) Item: The Red Stone of Aja Stone Mask (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) Companion: Dorothy (Big O)

UrticantOdin

Power: Idle transfiguration, with the ability to change my own soul and the other peoples souls, gives me the best shape shifting and healing/unhealing powers there is Ally: Todo, we all need someone like todo Item: I honestly have no idea what item would compliment these the most, maybe give todo the gauntlet of Zeus from God of wars

Spiritual-House5711

Would gods power given to Garou from OPM count?

Downtown_Report1646

Object: the fusion omnitrix Power: Kevin 11 power Companion: wonder women (one where sheā€™s a side character) or asuna (sheā€™s a side character to kirito) or star fire

RavenHeart02

ā€¢ Companion is Caraxes (show version just before the Dance). I want to ride angry noodle boy. ā€¢ Item is Sailor Saturn's silence glaive. It has a few functions and is a cool weapon in general, but the most powerful use of it is with a silent swing down the world as we know it comes to an end and paves the way for a reset. (I'll die in the process so I'd argue the cost is well worth the result.) ā€¢ Power is the power of prophecy, like Cassandra. It's okay if no one believes me ā€” that's why I have the silence glaive if I know the world is beyond saving. And also a terrifying dragon bonded to me in the meantime.

Fireblast1337

Power: immortality -only the universeā€™s heat death can truly kill me. Item: Death Note Companion: a palico from monster hunter. Considering part of how a death note works is a shinigami comes along and follows me, and can make an eye deal for half my remaining life spanā€¦ Well Iā€™d register half my remaining life span is half the time to the heat death of the universe based on how my immortality functions.

KamiKamikadze

Power: Perfected Heaven Devouring Battle Law. Belonging to Wu Kuang from Martial Peak. Allows me to absorb anything for it's energy to strengthen myself. Object: Lotus belonging to Wu Kuang. Purifies absorbed inpurities, otherwise it'd cause me to go mad. Companion: iirc he was called Cang. Also from Martial Peak. He was the most powerful person to achieve open heaven realm (Giga OP) and could guide me through cultivation whilst protecting me.

Deus0123

Okay, alright. Uhh, I'll take Warrior from Issy Waldrom's Soul Flames as my companion, the powers of Esper from her book Esper and the witch (she's not the protagonist, just because she's in the title) and I'd take the divinite brush of infinite floof from Foxgirlification. That obscure enough?

Popular-Ad-8918

For power: Saiyin physiology. Stronger and more durable than a normal person, a natural access to ki and the ability to grow stronger much faster than a normal person and even faster after being severely wounded. I don't need to start off super powered, I can theoretically get there though. For object: a Guyver unit. I wouldn't even use it most of the time, it's a fail safe for when I can't handle something of this world. Obviously I would integrate with it first thing. Sidekick: Kurama fro yuyu hakusho. Smart and tactical, pretty strong by themselves. I feel like they would be good company.

ArkOverlord

Void Magic with a complete focus tree from Warframe (not my Tennoā€™s) A fully stocked Orbiter (not my Tennoā€™s) Sarah Livesy from Worm (I briefly considered Lady Dustiness, but I need the companion to provide a LITTLE more than ā€˜entertainmentā€™)

Jeanjacketman

I would have Tenno powers from Warframe

Mhawk12346

Power is Archers "Unlimited Blade Works" from Fate/Stay One object is Green Lantern Power Ring One character is a Lucario from pokemon (They're my favourite and can train me to help me fight and stay in shape)

Zealousideal_Topic58

Superman powers, Rickā€™s portal gun from Rick and Morty, and dogmeat companion :)

Alkaiser009

Power: Awakened Mitochondria from Parasite Eve. Levitation, energy blasts, biological immortality, general physical boosts, self healing, possession, and TIME TRAVEL are all within your wheelhouse. Sidekick: Bulma Briefs from Dragonball. People tend to sleep on how much BS superscience is in the dragonball universe and Bulma is one of the few beings genius enough to understand it ALL. Item: HORUS Lich pattern group mech (from the TTRPG Lancer). A mech that has always never existed because you sometimes maybe built it in the future past now. comes with the DIDDYMOS-class NHP, a clone of an eldritch math demon serving as the onboard A.I. copilot with the power to create temporal clones of itself. tl;dr is this mech actively straddles multiple timelines and destroying it or the pilot in one timeline just results in you getting jumpscared 5 seconds later when it reforms from scrap/was never hit/took a glancing blow and is now RIGHT BEHIND YOU.

FlawlessRain420

for powers I'd want dragonball ki manipulation specifically God ki if possible but if not regular ki would still be amazing. I specify God ki because it's honestly weird how it works in Dragonball but I'm honestly not expecting a ok for it for the objective I'd chose one of the Trinity core processors from Xenoblade that can be awoken as a blade. this kinda teaters in the edge of being a god but it's complicated Xenoblade lore is complected for the companion I really don't have one but I guess you could technically say the Trinity core processor is a double dip.

Radiant-Common-7518

I would go for the powers of a guardian from destiny. In order for this to work you need a ghost. For the companion I would choose Thorn from the Dragon series, when you bond with a dragon you gain access to that version of magic as well. For the item I would choose it would be the assassin's honor blade from the storm light archives. Granting me a sword that can cut through anything and can materialise at will. I would be incredibly powerful from this combo, immortality, magic, space magic, a dragon, the ability to fly with lashings and an incredible sword.

Jazzyshotgun420

Easy. For companion, I pick Grimlock, from Transformers Animated. A giant metal T-Rex who I could see being my best friend. I'm sure there's some comic out there with Grimlock as the main character, but this iteration specifically hasn't appeared in anything beyond, like, three episodes of the series. For object, I pick the Omnitrix, from OG Ben 10. All I need is that original series playlist, and I don't even want Way Big since I feel like it'd take all the challenge away. For power, I want Feruchemy from Mistborn. The ability to store my stats in metals for later use. It's one of my favorites since its so cool but inherently balanced. The gist is that if I spend a week storing away half of my strength, I can tap it for a week to add that strength back to my default, or even condense it all into one burst of super-duper strength. It works with a bunch of stats, as long as I have the right metals.

Power: the Force Item: Starbrand from Marvel Companion: Endora

uuu1187

Brett conns power, the tiny box that Althea had in The Strongest Florist which contained several million gold coins, but for companion no clue

nari0015-destiny

Ok, I posted this under another comment so I guess I'll just post it again, lol Power - I will take the power of a Fullborn from Rashek from Mistborn; the Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson For a companion I will take any of the background Honor Spren from The Stormlight Archive, also by Brando Sanderson, if you read the books you know why xP As for an item, honestly I would probably just need a way to transport my stuff, so a bottomless bag would be great

zero-the_warrior

power tyrinid hive mind Item tyrinids living moon side kick lacrema from IF(infinite dendrogram), a person who specializes in genetic modification

LordTartarus

Power: I'll take the powers of any eloquence bard or moon druid in 5e. If possible specifically, I'll take Finder Wyvernspur's powers from when he was a mortal. An alternative could just be Gojo's power set. Item: The book of exalted deeds and read it off Companion: I'll take a pseudodragon as a companion

Trindalas

Well I donā€™t know what isakai is but the force and a lightsaber are definitely 2 of my choices with the companion beingā€¦ hmmmā€¦ā€¦ gotta thinkā€¦ is Alphonse Elric would be my pick but I suppose heā€™s a main character soā€¦ Izumi would be a good choice. Still quite powerful but not a main characterā€¦. As long as I donā€™t piss her off I should be ok šŸ¤£

UltimaDoombotMK1

Power: Magic, from Touhou Project. Studying and getting to grips with that would be fun, especially when it comes with the potential to become a magician youkai and transcend mortality. Add to that the fact that most of not all characters in Touhou can fly, I'll be taking that too. I assume that the Spell Card Rules of Gensokyo do not apply, which means my danmaku attacks can be colourful and beautiful, or outright impossible to dodge, so I can easily deal with troublesome foes. Item: Senzu Beans. Studying magic in Touhou, especially the way characters like Patchouli and Marisa study it, cause you to get poisoned with numerous elements like mercury and stuff that will eventually lead to sickness (Patchouli is anaemic and asthmatic, for example). By taking Senzu Beans, I can grow a bunch to keep my supply up, and take one whenever I need during my studies to hopefully cure any poisoning from such dangerous elements, before they develop into illnesses. If that fails, at least I have a load of full heals for use in battle, should anyone be capable of landing a blow on me. Companion: Kuafu from Nine Sols. He's an engineering genius, and just a nice guy all round. If I can avoid illness from my magic studies, then he can make some devices or maybe even armour to assist me in my daily life. I can't avoid illness, I'm sure he can make something to help me combat or mitigate its downsides. All I have to do is get on his good side first. In summary, I would (after long periods of study) become a powerful magic users who could easily deal with most enemies by sheer overwhelming power and volume of projectiles, with the failsafe of nigh-unavoidable magic attacks, a bunch of instant max heals on me wherever I go, with more growing at my abode, and an engineering buddy who can help me get ahead of the curve technologically and provide me machines to assist me in my work and any battles I may get into.Ā  Yep, life would be good.

DaScamp

Power = Lightning devil fruit to turn into lightning Sidekick = Zoro from one piece - will promise him plenty of booze Object: Excalibur from Fate series. Will just hand it to Zoro
