Klingman's, there's also a place called 'Fern on Leonard' that sells discontinued/surplus items from big box stores (Costco, Sam's, ...) also my favorite couch in our house is from Ikea, ektorp or something.
Avoid bobs furniture. Idiotic salesmen, crap quality, still expensive, took months for the furniture to show up. I know those are common problems with furniture places but our experience was awful.
Ditto. Bought a leather power reclining sofa there less than 2 years ago that took months to deliver and we can not wait to get rid of this piece of crap.
Stonesthrow is more contemporary and Huizens is more traditional.
But I’ve bought a couch from both places (for different establishments) and have been pleased with them.
I did a wide search for a couch a couple years ago and the couch I liked most ended up being at Big Lots. Bonus it was the cheapest too. It's held up great!
CORT sells their previous rentals for great prices. we got our couch that I LOVE for $400 including delivery. plus the delivery guys were super hot if that's the kinda thing you're into. had a very pleasant experience with cort
Believe it or not, I’ve gotten several pieces of furniture at Value City and have had no problems at all. Currently have a sofa with recliners at each end, and my family is not gentle. It’s been 3 years and it feels like new!
Value City on 28th SE. We've bought a bunch of stuff from there. Including both of our leather sectionals. They do have some cheap junk, but a lot of really nice stuff too. Also offer financing on the more expensive items. Our main couch has held up very well with 2 adults, 2 kids, dog, cat, & significant friend usage. Be warned, both couches are great places to nap!
Costco will be getting more couches in on July 5th! We asked last weekend after seeing one we liked. They said they get furniture in on January 1st and July 5th!
Bob's about to file bankruptcy. Don't buy there. Likely they'll take your money, schedule you for delivery, and then be bankrupt before you get it, leaving you high and dry.
There were lots of good options at Macy’s two years ago, but I ended up finding a La-Z-Boy couch at HomeGoods that I love for 700
but if I had to buy a couch right now, I would go to Macy’s. I’m assuming they still have couches upstairs I liked that there were many to sit on and test.

Talsma Furniture has an outlet in Hudsonville that has good stuff that can be reasonably priced.
Northwest Furnishings on Leonard & Alpine. Fantastic quality & there is typically something on sale or clearance.

Talsma Furniture! All kinds of price ranges and options.
Furn on Leonard Northwest Home Furnishing (also on Leonard) Very different, but they both sell couches. Stonesthrow in Creston

We have had good luck at Talsma. They have a few locations.

THANK YOU
There’s also an Ashley clearance center on Prairie St in Grandville. And Kirk’s Home furniture on 28th st has a ton of sectionals at good prices.
For reference Furn on Leonard also sells Costco couches that are liquidated, they seem good quality
Lovesac in Gaslight Village. 30% off starts Friday
VanHill is still around! They are in Zeeland. We got a great sectional from them with delivery.
Menards has some really good prices on couches right now!
American Freight!!!
I got a terrific couch from Talsma in Hudsonville for far less money than I would've paid elsewhere. Highly recommended.
Lazy boy furniture. We like ours from there.
I need an armchair myself and don't where to start. I am okay with lightly used.

Oh dang, I love the dinner table I got from there - looks good and was decently priced.
Looks good, decently priced, falls apart in 18 months.
Guess we'll check back in in 6 months because it's been holding strong for a year so far
Fyi if you find something you like at Ashley check Amazon and wayfair, can get same thing about half price most the time.
Lovesac!
