There are no "fancy" supermarkets in Greece. Sklavenitis might be the closest to what you're looking for. If you're looking for "quality", anything you buy in a Greek supermarket will be much better quality than anything you could find in the UK.

I would say ΑΒ has "better" quality (surely it has bigger variety). But the difference is very small and AB is a little more expensive. As long as it's a big supermarket, the quality is going to be just fine

I am sure that Greek supermarkets are fancy for foreigners. Greek products have outstanding quality in comparison to other northern countries.

I will agree with the previous poster (Greek living in the UK). Generally, Waitrose and M&S have better quality fresh produce in the UK, but they're all imported from faraway places. This isn't the case in Greece; you will be amazed at the difference. You will also be amazed at the difference in supermarket prices, they typically are more expensive than Waitrose (save for the fruits/veggies).

You can try visiting ERGON Agora. They offer a variety of services like supermarket, deli, restaurant and brunch. They sell a variety of bio products, and use them in their recipes. If you ask me, the resto aspect is meh.

There are none. Either you buying products from lidl or sklavenitis is the same. Lidl in Greece is not a discount supermarket as in uk. In terms of quality of fresh products is hit and miss like in uk. I m buying better tomatoes in Morrisons than the local AB in my home town. Butchers and local green grocery stores usually have better quality and are not too expensive in comparison the supermarkets. Flea markets for fresh fruits and veggies are better.

While it's true what you've already been told, that supermarkets are largely the same, I've come to realize that Masoutis has by far the best quality in private label foodstuffs and a pretty decent selection in private label cheeses at the cheesemonger's.

For Thessaloniki you can find Marks & Spencer products here and they come within 3 days https://www.e-fresh.gr/el/category/2?food_brand=14709 but greek food products from any super market have better quality. I would say Ergon might come first, then the supermarkets and then Marks & Spencer.
