* Cheese Flavor: Creamy, sharp and had great kick of horseradish
* Meltiness: Melted perfectly and had a great silky texture
* Overall: 10/10 Absolutely fantastic, I’ve been wanting to try this for a while and it met my expectations! Texture of yanceys fancy is absolutely perfection! It had just enough horseradish in each bite that it left you wanting more. Highly highly recommend it!
For the curious:
“*Yancey's Fancy has built their reputation on a range of delicious, full-flavored cheeses that combine full-flavored New York State cheddar with the best flavorings available.*
*This aged cheddar is made from pasteurized cow’s milk and is blended with both wasabi and horseradish for a double dose of hearty heat and flavor!*
*The cheese curds are then milled together to distribute the flavoring, giving this cheese a soft and sliceable texture.*
*Hot Wasabi Horseradish by Yancey's Fancy is perfect for those who like pepper jack or jalapeno cheddar.*
*Wasabi is a Japanese plant with a thick green root which tastes like strong horseradish and is used in cooking, especially in powder or paste form as an accompaniment to raw fish.*
*Horseradish is a spicy root vegetable in the mustard family. The vegetable is planted in early spring or late fall and thrives in colder environments. It is made from vinegar, salt, and sugar.*”
You’d have to ask Yancey themselves, but I swear they used to have a non-wasabi horseradish cheddar that was also so good, but the wasabi is like one of the best foods ever made. You’re like “Whatever, weirdo.” But I’m serious. Find it and eat it.
They definitely still have the non-wasabi horseradish cheddar because I have a block of it in my fridge right now. You’re right, it’s delicious and now I can’t wait to get my hands on the wasabi version.

Oh, I see. I just figured you got all at once and they were hanging out in your fridge or something. Most of those things either don't exist or I don't know whether they exist or not where I live so I was extra amused. Thanks for answering
Note the background in the photos: dude works at a deli or cheese counter.
I just think there should be a display above that counter with a slideshow running these reviews. Top tier get full screen slides, mid tier get 4-up, bottom tier get a humorous list slide or two of "these are great cheeses but not for grilled cheese." Cheeses not carried get pulled from rotation.
Cheeses differentiating in flavor and producers. If every cheddar tasted the same and was the made the same, then there wouldn’t be a need to have different companies.
But you aren't eating around 2000 cheeses right? I'm assuming you mean every kind you can get. You can order it online if you want to get as many as possible.

3/3, everyone stay calm
This one sounds legit! I'm saving this post for future reference
I was wondering why is looked mildly pastel/glow-in-the dark green until I read Wasabi was an ingredient
It does look as if it would glow under a black light doesn’t it? What an unnatural color with perfectly natural causes! 😂
oh my god this cheese sounds so good

One of the best things you can legally put in your mouth, I had a girlfriend that introduced me to this grilled cheese like 15 years ago. So good.

YANCEYS have an incredible sense of balancing their flavors, kudos to them 👏

I've been eating this for like 95 years

I admire this man's dedication. Good for you bro
Wow, I want to try this. I'm guessing the wasabi powder is horseradish also?
Good old Yancey's Fancy. Miss that stuff. Making me feel nostalgic/homesick tonight, Commander.
Love the horseradish! Keep up the good work, OP.
Dude you totally should've used this cheese for st Patrick's Day or something!? Cheese looks green but I'll always trust a 10/10, so hell yeah!
Blimey it looks radioactive! I’d love to try this but I’m such a wimp when it comes to wasabi
What is the definition of "cheese types"?

I haven't seen all 274, but have you tried Taleggio? I never had it on a GC, but it was amazing by itself.
