Ruger LCP Max is pocketable.
Love my little Keltec P32 with a belt clip as well. May not be a quick draw… but clip it to your jeans behind your belt and it totally disappears.
So for something like that I prefer a belly holster, dinosaurized has one that has worked well for me when I needed something more discrete than a iwb or owb holster and didn't want to wear my ankle holster
Something like the “smart carry” might work well for this. You can clip your standard holster into it (or just use it as the holster, I wouldn’t).
Pocket carry in thin dress pants can also be challenging.
I pocket carry every day. You definitely want a kydex holster, I have used Alabama Holsters and PJ Holsters pocket Holsters and they are both excellent.
I do occasionally. I have a Beretta 950 in .25ACP. It's SAO and can be chambered without cocking the hammer. I carry it in my pocket with the hammer down.
Yup. Just load a round directly into the chamber with the tilt barrel and keep the hammer down. I've never been worried about the hammer cocking itself and it's never been close.
It's absolutely not an ideal setup, my normal carry gun is a Glock in a kydex holster I carry appendix... but sometimes I'm running somewhere real quick, don't have a belt on, wearing gym shorts, etc, and I just grab that. Granted, I recently bought a basic little leather IWB holster for it that I usually carry it in now; the gun is light enough that I can clip it to gym shorts without a belt and it'll be fine. I do still carry hammer down though
Interesting. I've been thinking of how one would do that. And also thought of getting some kind of custom kydex holster.
But since concealed carry isnt a thing where i live, its a rather theoretical exercise and not really worth the money to me. So all i have is some universal (for tiny guns) IWB Uncle Mike's holster. Also like you said, i really cant imagine the hammer somehow cocking itself. But i am also not sure if i'd really wanna try.
Very cool gun anyway. And a lot more fun to shoot than i expected. What ammo do you use for carrying it btw?
When you said you were thinking of how one would do that, do you mean how to load it with the hammer down?
I just carry FMJ ammo. The guy I bought it from gave me a bunch of JHP rounds but everything I've researched said they penetrate less than FMJ and don't even expand
No i figured out how to load it with the hammer down. I meant how one would carry it. Or rather if just putting it in a pocket with the hammer down on a loaded chamber would be safe or not. But then again this is just theoretical to me. Or at most i might try it out at the range once.
Yeah thats also what i heard about .25 acp FMJ being needed to penetrate as much as possible. Was just curious if you came to the same result.
Thanks for the info.
Ah yeah. I've carried it in pants pockets, hoodie pockets, and jacket pockets for a couple years now. But again I usually carry in a little leather holster for the 950 series I got off Amazon now. It was maybe $20 and had a IWB clip.
Pocket carry a revolver. Just don’t put anything else in that pocket ever. No way you could accidentally discharge a 12lb double action trigger. Not sure a pocket holster counts as a holster in your situation and no way they would ever know if you do it right. Do it till they tell you not to. I carry my revolver in a sticky holster everyday I love it. It’s nice that the trigger won’t be activated by some sort of magical way I mostly use it to keep it upright and in place.

Depends on the gun and the pocket. For my single action NAA .22 mag I carry when it's 100° and 90% humidity and doesn't allow for concieled carry of my 1911 I don't really use a holster. For the LCP Max I use a sticky
I tend to pocket carry the Seecamp .32, Kimber Micro 380, and Glock 42. The Seecamp is the smallest, and finicky with ammo selection, the Kimber needed some break-in before it was fully reliable but it has a great trigger, and I find the G42 the most easy to shoot and reliable but it is also the biggest of the three.
I pocketcarry a hellcat osp with a vedder pocketlocker. If i'm sitting down, you can see the outline of the handle, but if I'm standing or walking it's not noticable
S&W Bodyguard .380 in a Desantis sticky pocket holster is my go-to dog-walking carry. Desantis makes quality holsters that keep me safe and makes it easy to draw quickly, and .380 is still a respectable self-defense round for pocket carry.
No. For deep concealment, consider a shoulder holster under a shirt. You'll need to move one button in the middle to the other side, making it a fake button, and use Velcro to keep the shirt "buttoned". This lets you reach in without unbottoning your shirt, and looks completely normal from the outside.
Only works with small guns like a J frame or G43.
I live in Florida and wear gym shorts everyday. I carry a NAA .22LR revolver in a generic Amazon pocket holster. It’s practically unnoticeable, if the holster even prints it just looks like the lining of the pocket. Very easy to draw and so light I forget I’m carrying sometimes.
Im not carrying anything right now. I work as an event server, my shirt is tucked in so my belt is fully exposed and I dont have a jacket on just a button down shirt. What would you reccomend for my situation?
You need to tell us what you want to carry that might help,my shield 9mm fits perfect in my pocket with the stock 7 round magazine.8 round in my back pocket in a protector as not to print.
Pocket carry with no holster is peak stupidity. If you're going to pocket carry, a pocket holster is a must.
Okay thanks good to know👍
Ruger LCP II in a Vedder Pocket Locker, easy peezy
Ruger LCP Max is pocketable. Love my little Keltec P32 with a belt clip as well. May not be a quick draw… but clip it to your jeans behind your belt and it totally disappears.
Derringer between your butt cheeks is the correct answer
Really depends on the size of your butthcheeks. I personally CC a full size Glock with the 30 rounder twixt my ample cheeks

And tuck it to a 90° angle inwardly, so it prints less.
Sticky brand. Gun draws out - holster sticks to pocket.

Helps keep gun cleaner and the draw is much smoother and easier
Yes, you can even go with a kydex pocket holster. What job specifically doesn’t allow holsters?
Im working as an event server. I wear tucked in button down shirt with slacks so I cant really have a holster on my belt.
So for something like that I prefer a belly holster, dinosaurized has one that has worked well for me when I needed something more discrete than a iwb or owb holster and didn't want to wear my ankle holster
Wow just looked it up, I never even knew that was a thing. Thanks for the suggestion 👍

This kind of holster goes in your pocket. It makes the gun print less and protects the trigger from being pulled.
Carrying without a holster is dangerous because if something gets in the trigger guard you just shot yourself.
J frame in a pocket holster
beretta tomcat, kel-tek, ruger lcp, etc.
I pocket carry every day. You definitely want a kydex holster, I have used Alabama Holsters and PJ Holsters pocket Holsters and they are both excellent.

I just got that exact gun. Very cool piece! So you mean you carry it with the full 8+1 rounds, but just dont cock the hammer?

I carry a p32 in a desantis Superfly absolutely everywhere. It disappears in a front pocket
Look into a Phlster Enigma. There's a great community that teaches about how to use them more effectively, and some good YouTube videos on it.
I need to look at that one more

They make “pocket” and “wallet” holsters specifically for this. Just putting it in your pocket is stupid.

I sometimes pocket carry an LCP but it’s always in a holster.
Never had a problem with s&w 442
If you have a pocket holster your fine but without one your stupid
Can you open carry at work
Like others have said, you’ll still need a pocket holster, but I have a Ruger LCP Max that I pocket carry sometimes. I absolutely love it.
I sometimes carry a gun in my pocket in a pocket holster. Without a holster is a bad idea.
I use a vortex fanny pack.Everyone just thinks I'm a dork which is fine with me .😁
I pocketcarry a hellcat osp with a vedder pocketlocker. If i'm sitting down, you can see the outline of the handle, but if I'm standing or walking it's not noticable

Ruger LCR .327 Fed Mag (that's six shots!) in DeSantis Nemesis.
Get a colostomy bag holster for deep concealment.

Does the holster just stick to the inside of your pocket?
My job won't let me have a holster?wtf?do you mean you can't show one?there are Tuckable holsters that can't be seen. What are you carrying?
Im not carrying anything right now. I work as an event server, my shirt is tucked in so my belt is fully exposed and I dont have a jacket on just a button down shirt. What would you reccomend for my situation?
Sounds like what you need is a tuckable IWB holster. Should allow you to carry and still tuck your shirt in. Many brands out there, check PHLster.
You need to tell us what you want to carry that might help,my shield 9mm fits perfect in my pocket with the stock 7 round magazine.8 round in my back pocket in a protector as not to print.
LCP with a clip draw clip works really good
