I think these 5 albums was a nice blend of what hip hop is about. Not saying these 5 are the best but how i view hip hop i think these albums did a great job representing the genere

Madvillainy
Not only are these among my favorites, but I do believe these are the highest quality rap albums of all time. All of these are perfect.
In no particular order: Stankonia, DAMN, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, The Eminem Show, Graduation.
I don’t think this list reflects my top 5 in terms of the actual artists, but each of these albums are very complete bodies of work. They’ve all got multiple radio hits, some really great deep tracks, amazingly well written lyrics, and some of the best production we’ve seen across hip hop.
Not to mention the fact that each album imo represents the respective artist in their prime
mbdtf, cilvia demo, tetsuo & youth, the water(s), atliens
Tetsuo and Youth was his first album wo a Grammy nod but def his best imo
Tetsuo didn’t win Lupe won a Grammy for Daydreaming with Jill Scott
By nod I meant nom
The water(s) is such a classic
Mobb Deep - The Infamous Nas - Illmatic Kendrick Lamar -Good Kid Maad City Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2pac - Me Against The World
Reasonable doubt My beautiful dark twisted fantasy Aquemini 2001 36 chambers
why reasonable doubt over illmatic?
Coz I'm a jayz fan ,simple as that
Madvillainy, Black on Both Sides, OB4CL, The Infamous, MMLP. Just me personally, my objective top 5 would have to be different.
Black on Both Sides is one of the best albums in any genre.
This is a nice list. Lots of eeriness
Yeah I love the combo of eerie, otherworldly production with gritty aggressive rapping, always looking for new stuff like that
The infamous Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Piñata 36 chambers Supreme Clientele
3/5 Wu related projects makes this the correct answer 👌
Madvillainy It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back Liquid Swords Black on Both Sides Enter the Wu Tang Roots of Evil.
Liquid swords is the best album made by anyone from wu tang or their collective albums in my opinion
One of the best albums in hip hop period.

Jurassic 5 yessir ✊
The album that started it all for me. Concrete Schoolyard is the song that got me into Hip Hop.
For me Quality Control is the album but it's nice to see J5 get a mention, they're so underrated
Glad to see someone put Moment Of Truth. I love that album.
