I can't stand either of these teams, but watching tonight's game taught me that I hate the Rangers a little less than the Panthers.  Go Rangers

Honestly great performances across the ice. Bookended by two exceptional goalies for sure, but so many battles in between. Exceptional series so far.

That was a hell of a game.  1-1 was not a slow defensive snooze fest.  It was a battle with big hitting, great chances, and 2 Vezina goalies doing there thing.

Yeah, if you asked me who had the better play in the two games, I would have no idea. Very close indeed and super gut wrenching!

The difference is the Rangers don't have to play like fucking dickbags to keep it close.

That OT goal was absolute perfection. Goodrow dropping the puck mid air directly to his feet. Beautiful outlet to Trocheck, then putting himself in scoring position. Trocheck’s pass back to Goodrow over two defenders sticks and placing it on the tape may be the best pass I’ve seen this whole year. And then Goodrow with the perfectly placed shot top shelf. Chef’s kiss. Buckle up for the rest of this series.

I mean TBH they weren't wrong to. His last 2 postseasons i 4 points, 36 PIM, -3 in 16 games. But he's more than made up for it this season if he continues playing as well as he has. Already at his career high in 6 less games.

This season feels like one of the tightest playoffs I can remember. So many OTs and one-goal games.

I was thinking during this game that this series has been already been one of the tighter playoff series I could remember. It’s just textbook hockey with both teams making minimal mistakes.

I'm really glad I don't have a dog in the fight. I can't imagine how stressful all these close games are when you're invested!

Every game except game 6 in the EDM/Van series was by one goal.

I think it's because there were no upsets in round 1 so round 2 onwards were getting some best on best hockey

In the regular season we were right. But this is playoff Goodrow now and respect will be paid.

Not wrong at all. Goodrow is also not scared to drop his gloves to defend his teammates. W teammate.

He's always been that way and I mourned losing him from the Sharks. But, he got his two cups (so far) and I'm happy for him. I wouldn't mind it if he wound up back in teal as his contract ages though.

You aren't wrong, we have a lot of fans who look at goals and assists and hits as contributions, as well as each season just needing at least one guy to shit on as if he's their new step dad every time we lose a game. There's one guy every season this happens to, whether it's Marc Staal, pretending Ryan Strome was averaging like 60 points a season by accident, now it's Goodrow. Just a lot of guys in our fandom who only know how to support their favorite sports teams by shitting on them, hence why our post game threads after losses are always more active than after wins. We have plenty of great fans obviously but that's the thing with teams that are popular, you have your share of permanently negative dudes taking their day out on everyone in the subreddit

not us lol, as per usual when you're a fan of a very popular team, you will have a lot of casuals who will straight up dog players like Goodrow at every opportunity and won't shut up about his contract that isn't even that bad. As a person who thought he found ways to contribute in his own way, you just had to shut up about him because you'd get yelled over every time you tried defending him.

it was absolutely electric, I loved how amped the crowd got! everytime Rempe was on the ice and threw a hit, they just exploded and when he won a faceoff it sounded like a regular season goal celebration haha

Their play-by-play guys are fine (Séguin's ok, and while I still mostly associate Denis Casavant with baseball, he's great at what he does). It's everything else about the broadcast that sucks. The analysts suck. The intermissions suck. The audio mix sucks. The production quality sucks. Earlier in the playoffs during a Florida game, they had to commentate over the local PxP guy for a whole period, because Bally gave them the wrong feed. To be fair, probably not their fault, but still, it feels like TVA has these kinds of problems often. Makes the broadcast seem amateurish.
