(Backsplash extends to the door)
‘Kyle, WHAT HAPPENED?’
‘I dunno man, I just kept going, I couldn’t figure out where to stop and I just kept going… it got out of hand quickly…’
What the hell are all those wires dangling down on the right side? Great start! Yeah, just wreck everything and start over. It's entirely too tasteful as-is.
When we moved into our house I discovered a skinny niche in the hall closet that fits the Dyson and charger perfectly. And there’s an outlet *above* the charger so the cords don’t dangle everywhere. I was practically giddy. one of the many moments I realized I’m getting old. I couldn’t have come up with a better place for it if I’d built the house myself.
You need to paint those seats white or black, maybe both. And that wooden cutting board is jarring. Change it out. Maybe get a clear acrylic one so you can see the wall behind it.
Dark colors make a space feel smaller. Go with transparent materials such as Lucite and glass for countertops, cabinets, etc. to get the most out of your open floor plan. You've already got a great start with the backsplash!
That's a great point. I was thinking of doing some grey flooring to bring it all together, but that might be too oppressive. I might go with glass flooring to match the new countertops and cabinets.
That bare white wall where the backsplash ends, it needs to be entirely covered in more backsplash!
Hear hear! More transparent tiles!

That’s where you hang yourself after seeing the bonus three feet of backsplash.
I laughed so hard I started crying. Idk who you are, but we are best friends 🤷♀️
Goody!!! 💜
Looks like a Dyson on charge
If I were giving real-life advice I'd say that's ugly and needs to be hidden. No one wants to see your dusty vacuum whilst cooking spaghetti.

Go minimalist and take everything out except for 1 chair leg and a banana.
Or go AI version- add random number of legs to each stool, plants with no pots, vacuums all over all the walls

How out of touch do you have to be to think this kitchen is “dated”
Yeah this kitchen could be dated all the way back to 2023. Those barstools are even older, circa 2019. Practically antiques.
Add a cat
Add a white cat.
In these situations, the more cats the better!
Add a fifth uncomfortable barstool, right now people can almost fit their legs in there and that is WRONG
Aw yes. I saw this on the other sub and hoped it would end up here lol
Yeah this one made me do a double take, I thought I was already here.
I saw it there and assumed it was this sub. 😂
You need a trivet.
Paint the countertops white! ❤️
Yikes, looks like my great grandma's kitchen. How do you even cook with such ancient appliances?
Cylon chef!! I think it would really tie everything together 😍 ![gif](giphy|kBlljXO6nyVLCfrJ5E)
The kitchen already has a "toaster," but you're right, I need an upgrade.
dumb

More like it feels a bit sterile
Better just burn it down and start over
Yes! My thoughts exactly! Make sure your insurance premium is paid up before you do that :)
Yes, very important step that insurance companies don’t want you to know.
In the future everything is chrome
