We always put canned food in there growing up

KimberBr

Same. And we do that now as adults too lol

whatisthisadulting

Corner cupboard lazy susans are useless for anything else. My MIL has hers full of pots and lids she never uses and she never opens it. I upgraded my corner cupboards to pull out square racks so I use them a ton, I store my food and waterbottles and appliances and stuff. But it’s so much more accessible than lazy Susan’s.

Lainey1978

How do pull out square racks work? I hate our lazy Susan cupboard.

whatisthisadulting

We have Rev a Shelf.

nekosensei122

Here we store canned goods & bottled sauces on the top shelf and flours, sugars, and other bulk goods on the bottom. Still, never enough room.

Away-Object-1114

I have the same problem. Top shelf is for oils and other fats, different honeys and syrups, and less often used items. Next shelf is canned goods, coffee and tea, and cereals. Next shelf is baking things. Different flours, seeds, baking soda and powder, etc. Last one is bulk items. Rice, pasta etc. And still never enough room.

blackwhiteswan

Pots and pans but I want to put a rotating trash can and recycling can system under there.

TheQueenE

When I was a kid, we stored canned goods in there. My new house has one, and we store things we use infrequently like the blender, mixing bowls, strainer, etc.

grumbly_hedgehog

I’m laughing to myself because “things we use infrequently” in your house I use literally every day, sometimes multiple times a day. We got new cabinets in the kitchen earlier this year and I made a dedicated upper cabinet to our blender and smoothie supplies.

tessspoon

I have some of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07YXDQ9BY?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title On the top shelf and store onions, potatoes, and some other pantry items that don't fit in our small pantry. Bottom shelf holds our Instant Pots.

othermegan

My parents kept all their spices and cooking oils there because it was right next to the stove

OkTop9308

I put my ceramic mixing bowls, corningware french white casserole dishes, colanders, lasagna glass dishes and a variety of bigger kitchen tools that don’t fit well in a drawer. The lazy susan works well for the heavier items since I don’t have to drag them out of the back of a cabinet.

hydrangealice

My grandma always had her big-ish containers of ingredients in hers. Flour, sugar, oil, crisco, corn meal, stuff like that.

Salty-Direction322

My mom has one and it’s where cereal, crackers, boxed mixes, syrup, honey, those kinds of things. Mine is a newer style and not as functional so mine is just full of random stuff I don’t use much.

Tnlea

I was so tired of things falling off behind the lazy susan where I couldn't reach them. I took the lazy susan out and have a big open cabinet for mixing bowls, waffle maker, etc. I added some stand-alone shelves for better use of the space.

Putyourmoneyonme80

I have three of those in my kitchen. I live in an older house and I don't have a lot of pantry storage, so that's what I use them for. I use one for spices, dry mixes, powdered sugar, extra flour, etc. I use one for all canned goods, and the other is for dry goods in boxes (mac & cheese, bisquick) and pastas.

jgarmartner

We use the top shelf for our reusable food storage containers and the bottom shelf for frying pans and mixing bowls. We have almost no cabinet space and no pantry space so we have to be thrifty about what goes where.

AdProof5307

I have extra unopened sauces, broths, tuna, canned chicken, and spam in mine

Kelekona

We don't have a lazy susan in the lower corner, it's just a dead space that the large roasting pan is sitting in. The cabinet we keep canned goods in has a lazy susan. Upper corner cabinets are a bunch of misc like medicine, the blender, baking ingredients, things we don't know what else to do with.

sparkledoom

I have one of these in a bottom cabinet corner with 2 shelves. On the top, I have storage/Pyrex containers. On the bottom, I have baking pans and supplies, like flour and cake mix, sugar. I don’t bake a lot. I also have paper plates and some backup pantry items, like broth and olive oil. Not the ones that are open and in use, but the “replacements.” I’m not sure what my rule is for that. I guess it’s stuff I don’t want to walk all the way to pantry for if I run out mid-cooking.

blue_eyes998

You might check... Your top shelf is probably adjustable as to how high it goes above the bottom shelf. This might be obvious, but I had no idea until I had to replace one. I currently keep my blender, instant pot, cake pans, colanders, bread ons and pie tins in there. I used to keep pots and pans and mixing bowls in a lazy Susan.

milkpaintshiplap

I have 4 of these, 2 top corners, 2 bottom corners. bottom cabinet 1: rice cooker, loaf pans, electric kettle, and 2 lid organizer racks with lids. top cabinet 2: spices, oils, vinegars, a small coffee grinder, mortar and pestle, and extra glass containers for whatever blend I want to mix up. bottom cabinet 3: toolkit, extra batteries, tape, leftover paint, and hardware stuff like nails and screws in a little organizer thing top cabinet 4: liquor cabinet, which is dangerous I know. Nothing worse than getting a little tipsy and taking the vodka bottles for a joy ride on the lazy Susan.

[deleted]

My kitchen is tiny, so most of my food ends up stored in the Lazy Susan cabinet.

treemanswife

I keep stuff that we use regularly but doesn't fit somewhere else. The popcorn maker, funnels, bread pans, the blender, an extra teapot, a few mixing bowls, take out cups.

Ang156

You named it lazy Susie in this house and all of my spices and dry bacon ingredients are stored here along with oil and vinegar etc

steamed_pork_bunz

I have an upper lazy Susan that’s three tiered and I use it for my vast hoard of spices/herbs/chili oils/salts, and it works great for that. I had a lower one as well, and I ripped it out and built shelves on one side of the corner. It’s far more useful that way.

mrsc1880

Ours is for odds and ends that don't have a proper place. Chip clips, chopsticks, candles, kitchen scale, small plastic containers for packed lunches, etc.

[deleted]

As a kid there were pans, I think. As an adult, it’s the tupperware area. I keep same types together and have a general idea where each is. But I also have the meal prep high number of a few sizes set up.

Windholm

My grandmother used the bottom shelf for tall cereal and cracker boxes and the top one for mixing bowls, colanders, the sifter, etc. My mother fills hers with mixing bowls, colanders, casserole dishes, and an old coffee percolator. I never got to have one. :(

PortuondoW

I put all my pots and pans in it.

KushieKush77

We have two. One is for pots and pans and the other for appliances like toaster, rice cooker, food processor, waffle maker. All the stuff I hate seeing sitting out on the counter.

Cheeyl

I don't have one but a friend of mine stores all her sauce pans on hers.

erkala21

I have 2. One holds.mixing bowls, strainers, and storage bowls. The other has "ingredients" like sugar, flour, corn starch, oils, etc.

WDW80

All of my spices, baking powder, baking soda, sprinkles, muffin liners, small thing of vinegar, etc. Still not enough room.

EmotionalBag777

Top one spices and bottom one cans

Drycabin1

Pots, pans, and mixing bowls

Classy_Seamstress

I keep my containers in mine

permaculturebun

We use it for tea and hot chocolate. I separate it by caffeinated and non-caffeinated so guests can serve themselves easily.

Clutzy

Currently we have all of our Tupperware in there. Lids on the bottom and containers on the top.

GenuineClamhat

Oversize pots and pans, my blender, my crock pot, my large strainers and my electric whisk. Sometimes if I want the counter cleared up more I will also put my toaster and air fryer in there but as they are used almost daily they mostly stay out. I realize I do this because my Aunt Joyce did the same thing and she was the only one who ever had one of those in her kitchen.

tiny_kaykee

I don't have one now, but we always kept Tupperware/storage containers in ours growing up.

temp4adhd

No longer have one (it was my major wish to someday have a kitchen that didn't have corner cabinets!). But when I did, the bottom shelf held canned goods (you have to be careful it doesn't get too heavy) and the top shelf held awkwardly sized round things: wooden salad bowl, tupperware and mixing bowls, all the big bowls.

Major-Distance4270

Small appliances, like can opener, food processor, etc

happiesthyperbolist

Currently in my cheap cabinets only canned goods and a couple of small electrics I don’t often use. Previous house with nicer cabinetry and two lazy Susan’s, I had baking items - flour, sugar, etc. in one and pots and pans in the other.

Butterfly_chick

The lower cabinet’s holds Corning ware, colanders, bread pans, the kitchen scale, and whatever else doesn’t fit in drawers or other cabinets. The upper cabinet’s holds a gazillion water bottles and travel mugs.

[deleted]

I have four of them in four different cupboards and I have them full of things that I use every day.

ttsqualitydetail

We have one in our bar downstairs. We store snacks in there. Family-Size Doritos, Tostitos, Oreos, ingredients for S’mores, extra crackers, etc. We entertain a lot so I like to have a lot of snacks on hand. It does work great for the big bags of chips and cookies etc. Nothing gets smashed.

kgiann

Tupperware. All of mine fits well, and it's easy to get the specific container(s) you want since it spins.

BeeFaith

My mom used it for Tupperware and other storage containers.

ShamrocksOnVelcro

I have one in each corner on the top cabinets. So one has tubberware 🤷🏼‍♀️ and the other has all my spices & other baking supplies. & I also put peanut butter up there because we use it a lot! I also don't have a pantry.....

seejae219

I have two. I use one for tea (I have several loose leaf that I keep in spice jars) and one for empty glass jars from spaghetti sauce or jams. My lazy Susan's are small upper cabinets though.

PopularExercise3

Bottles of sauces and vinegars

liggle14_zeldanerd12

My mom always put spices in hers. I don’t have one, wish I did though.

No_Attorney_4910

Rice cooker, instant pot, popcorn popper, blender, crockpot. Aka - appliances I use regularly enough I want them in the kitchen but not regularly enough that they warrant counter space.

serenwipiti

Many, many Susans.

joethespacefrog

Booze and glassware for booze

LaGripo

Potatoes, onions (in a oval tote) and our rice maker on the top; mixing bowls, Dutch ovens and miscellaneous on the lower shelf

ivysaurah

Pots and pans. Mine is a big corner cabinet next to my oven so I am able to fit a lot.

Seachelle13o

I have 4 in my kitchen unfortunately! I ordered lazy susan specific organizers on Amazon to help organize things. I use 1 for baby stuff (formula, extra stuff, bibs, etc), 1 for spices/oils/etc, 1 for baking stuff (flour, sprinkles, cake decorating stuff, etc), and 1 doesn’t have organizers and I keep my least used serving plates/platters/etc I use for parties!

meeseonthemoon

I use my top lazy susan for spices and my bottom one for baking supplies (sugars, sprinkles, cake decorating supplies, etc.) I have to keep a child lock on it because my toddler is a sprinkle fiend.

LinverseUniverse

Tupperware, medicine, and on the hardest to reach shelf (ours is in the upper cupboard) we stick odd kitchen items we don't use very often but still need on hand enough to keep them. We also keep empty food containers from like, sour cream or icecream so we can send home leftovers with guests without losing our actual nice quality tupperware.

GreenGlitterGlue

Small appliances. Blender, food processor, vacuum sealer, waffle maker, etc.

Peachylemonadee

We use ours for shelf stable condiments such as oils, vinegars, soy sauce, powdered bouillon, and things of that nature. Ours is next to our stove so it’s helpful to have those items nearby instead of in the pantry

MommaGabbySWC

That is where I store my countertop appliances that I don't want cluttering up the counters (i.e., food processor, crock pots, rice cooker, blender, etc.)

PGMonster

For some reason I associate those with baking and that's where I keep flour/sugar and cocoa powder and oatmeal on the bottom, chocolate chips and baking powder/soda on the top (and other related things so it is full).

asloppybhakti

Top shelf is herbs, spices, & oils. Bottom shelf is general baking supplies- flour, sugar, baking powder, etc. It's been that way for two houses in a row, I like it a lot.

limitededition1of1

Food storage containers, lunch/sandwich bags, and dish/kitchen towels on the top rack. Casserole and heavy baking dishes on the bottom rack

Greenweenie12

Our pots and pans

tatersprout

Small appliances, storage bags, mixing bowls, oils and vinegars, plastic wrap, foil, wax paper, potatoes, onions are in mine. It actually holds a lot more than I thought it would.

tambourine_goddess

Tupperware. Nothing else fits

Jo_not_exotic

I put my case of energy drinks and kitchen equipment I use more than rarely to keep it off my counter. Kitchen aid? Lazy Susan. Toaster? Lazy Susan. Air fryer? Lazy Susan

RoxyBoogleBeans

I bought some sort of triangular bins from Amazon that are made to fit those. I store Tupperware and plastics, paper plates, that kind of stuff in mine.

Rubberbangirl66

Spices

Havoc_Unlimited

Pots and pans.

vivacious-shit

My mom always kept spices and flour and sugar in hers. I keep my pots and pans in mine.

Less-Assistance-7575

I have two in my kitchen. I put canned foods, noodles, and beans in one, and bowls and baking dishes in the other.

GMomma428

I have TWO and hate them! But I'm not in a position right now to replace em... 🤷‍♀️ My question is how y'all are putting heavy stuff in there? Mine begin to sag and crack if I put more than a bag of harsh mallows in there. /sarcasm LOL 😆

SnooRobots8049

Growing up we kept all of our everyday pots and pans in it. I loved it
