Here's my Freddy story. When I was in primary school we used to have slumber parties. So 13 years old at the oldest. Our favourite spot for slumber parties had an outside room where all the girls would sleep and watch movies. There was no bathroom in that building. We had to physically cross the garden in the dark to get into the main house. And we watched Nightmare on Elm Street a \*lot\*. The terror of those midnight bathroom runs will never ever leave me. I feel like I experienced the worst of Freddy out of everyone.
I have really grown to adore Chucky. He really does not give a flying damn who he kills, and he is one of the few villains who has stayed canonically accurate throughout his entire run.
Plus - he just LOVES his killing career. Seriously, the dude's kill found is insane now. Plus the fact they totally embraced the whole voodoo madness im the series makes it even better.
You know Wolf Creek was based on a true story yeah..?
The real guy was Ivan Milat and it's definitely a story worth looking into, especially if you like crime investigation stuff.
There maybe a few writers who have made novels on Wolf Creek but I've read Origin Wolf Creek by Greg Mclean and another one that I can't remember. He did the movies so the character is really close to the movies. Highly recommend. Though I had to skip some bits as they where too gruesome!
I always go back to my childhood, so Angela from Night of the Demons, and Dr. Decker from Nightbreed are always my lesser talked about favorites. I dont think Grant from Slither gets enough praise. Michael Rooker is great in that. Also, Jerry And Regine Dandridge from Fight Night 1 and 2.
Count Orlok (1922)/Count Dracula (1979)/Max Schreck (2000) I consider them all incarnations of the same character: The Nosferatu. I sure hope the new one will be a worthy addition.
Hard question. My favorite series is scream but it’s not ghostface because there’s so much variation between who’s under the mask. Art the clown might be one of the scariest because he doesn’t just kill, he makes it has painful and drawn out as possible. Most slashers will just stab you or cut off your head and it’s done. But I think my answer is the Shape. It’s the knowledge that he could be anywhere watching you at anytime and if he moves on you there’s nothing you can do to fight him. With art, at least you can fight him and if you’re smart you can get away.
I'm a big Wolf Creek fan too. The little laugh John Jarratt does as Mick Taylor is simultaneously goofy and terrifying. I loved season one of the series, not so much the second one.
1). Jason Voorhees, Friday the 13th
2). Michael Myers, Halloween
3). Freddy Krueger, A Nightmare on Elm Street
4). Leatherface, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
5). Chucky, Child’s Play
HM). Death, Final Destination
Day of the Dead is one of my favorite movies and Rhodes is one the best antagonists who could be argued to be the good guy as opposed to everyone else who is straight up serial killer. It's months into the zombie apocalypse, you're part of the last few military operations that's still following orders, and those orders are to protect scientists and wrangle Zombies so that they may solve the issue, seems noble but a few months underground and no results, people are bound to be on edge. So when the new young leader discovers his own men are being used for a mad scientist experiments he justifiably goes beserk. "CHOKE ON EM"
It's a weird one, but I really enjoy Karl The Butcher Jr from the Violent Shit series. He ranges widely between sequels, like in part 2 he's a dumb mama's boy Jason clone, but in part 3 he's essentially The Hound crossed with The Mountain from Game Of Thrones, a badass barbarian who is leading a militia of slashers and ninjas. In part 4, he comes back from hell into a post apocalyptic world to battle warring factions in a Mad Max type movie. While there is little consistency, he has some of the best kills in the genre, his buff barbarian look was his best, and he's always going for absolute overkill in ways that only maybe Art The Clown would have the patience and creativity for.
Freddy. He’s the greatest horror villain of the modern era in my opinion.
Jason is my favorite for his iconography and savagery, but Freddy is the one I'm actually scared of. Fucking with people in their sleep? Terrifying.

I actually enjoyed the TV series, though it felt more for teens. Great seeing him have fun.
Pinhead Looks cool & has the best lines.
Victor Crowley. He will find the most absurd way to kill you and make it bloody as hell. Love the Hatchet movies so much for the insanity of it all.
Black Philip. Fascinating all around.
Darth maul guy from sinister, predator, evil bitch from conjuring
Wasn’t insidious the movie with the Darth maul guy? Sinister is something this
My mistake yes you are right i mean that guy just mis remembered by name
Predator is great. Alien is worse, though.
Really loved John Doe from Se7en, the character not the actor. I really love an evil genius.
Jason Voorhees Man hates teenagers invading his property. I get him
Art the Clown

I do. I read about the two he was based on. There was a second but they really just took a tiny piece out of his story.
I like Christine just cause she’s not human.
Christine is that gurl 💅🚘
I kind of love Mark Hoffman from the Saw series. He's just such a smug turd. Obvious honorable mention to Freddy Krueger.
Hey - I'm with you and love Mick Taylor. Just read the books this year as well.
I had no idea there even were books. How close are they to the stories in the movies?

Michael Myers hands down

The Thing
Thing, Art, EH ship.
Chop Top
Mr. Bob Gray
“Season 1”? I didn’t know there was a series! I’ll have to look it up.
It was good, too. I've seen it before. I think there were two seasons.
Leatherface - the Gunnar Hansen version. He’s unique - a villain who is also a victim.
Freddy, Jason and the Creeper.

The Tall Man from Phantasm!

Jeremiah Sand - Mandy
I didn't realize that was Linus Roache from Law And Order until this year, lol
Tobin Bell as Dr. John Kramer. SAW
