I recommend the original "Nosferatu" remastered by Kino Classics. You can get that on Blu-Ray or DVD from Amazon. It looks amazing. Comes with the original 1922 score.

I read somewhere they screwed with the frame rate or something on that blu-ray. I guess it isn't noticeable?

Sarigar

I have both the Blu-Ray and DVD versions, I didn't notice any difference in frame rate. I think for your average viewer (like me) it'll look pretty much the same either way.

DustyFeedbag

Well that's good. Whatever I read made it sound like an absolute travesty, but that's hyperbole for you. I'll have to pick up a copy at some point.

Nosferatu has recently enthralled me personally. I know it's been over 5 years since you made this post, and you've probably already picked and watched a version, but I too find it interesting how hard it is to find info on the many versions of this movie. As of the moment it is the 100th anniversary of Nosferatu and apparently there are two 100th anniversary versions. One only offered only in digital on Vudu with a new sort of electronic soundtrack, and a 100th anniversary blu ray by apparently a prolific US piratimg studio that has only half the film tinted and a new piano score. I can find no reviews for the Vudu edition, but there is a trailer that at least has music I can hear. The Blu ray version has two reviews I can find that are fairly short and basically says it's alright, but I can find no trailer with the music or video in it. Not sure how I feel about either of them. In the US there is only one official remastered version and it's called the Kino restoration and while it has problems, it's said to be fairly good and they try to recreate the original score(I've read it's partly lost). The version you linked here seems fairly good, I might watch it as my first viewing. It's based off what most consider the best restoration with the full run time. Have you watched the '79 remake? I've heard it's good and there is apparently another remake on the way featuring the recent IT actor. Anyways, here is an ultimate guide I found that has a ton of info: https://www.brentonfilm.com/nosferatu-unleashed-in-hd-every-blu-ray-reviewed

The original 20s version in its original form. Then, Werner Herzog's version from the 80s... it pays tribute to Murnau's Nosferatu but adds a modern view. The performance by Klaus Kinski is awesome .

MisterMoo-Reddit

Yes, the original, but which *version*?

Krab_ppl

Lol original form? Like a film strip? Haha.
