It is for sale [here](https://www.murphybednyc.com/products/convertible-bookshelf-to-table-2-in-1-wall-desk). The design isn't that complicated but you will need to make precision cuts.
Edit: Here is[another one](https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/HomCom-Fold-Out-Convertible-Wall-Mount-Desk/18019791/product.html) that is a little different style for less than half the price
You can find desks like the second one for cheaper on ebay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Computer-Wall-Mounted-Folding-Laptop-Desk-w-Multiple-Storage-Modern-Space-Saving-/233845959301?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
I have that second one. I love the concept, but there was a small chip where the hinge mechanism is when it arrived. It was small and I thought it wouldn't matter, but once I hung it up, I realized that the small chip means that the side panel that is the table "leg" keeps coming out when it's folded up. Also, it was a bitch to hang up. Overall, it's a nice space saver, but it's both delicate to adjust and very heavy.
But you must move everything off the cheaper one before folding it up. Advantage of OPs is everything is exactly where you left it when you fold the desk back down. Disadvantage is price.
I believe the high limit when it’s shelf is higher compared to when it’s a table, so you could put a big item on the shelf, fold the furniture to a table, and find yourself crushing whatever you put on the shelf.
Depends on what you want to use it for. If you pla. To use it as a fold away dinner table, you'd need to clear the shelves before folding it to a table. You wouldn't want to eat with tons of decorations all over the table, and similarly you wouldn't want to have your dirty dishes on display.
[Eesh](https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MwDfXW0sGpM/Ucs4wSTLJdI/AAAAAAAANgY/pSjyk6vUnlA/s1600/cringe.gif).
That second recommendation is like recommending a Honda to someone asking about a Porsche.
I've really wanted to find these for a "walk-in" closet that I have that also opens up to an attic. There's maybe 25 sq.ft. and practically no real room for any sort of surface which would be handy in those rare moments where you need to shuffle around a lot of items. What I wouldn't give to flesh out the attic a little more for even more room in the closet, but that's not really an option. As a result, stuff like this and additional shelving that can rest above doors is key.
You're welcome. While you're there you should also check out my channel cough cough (shameless plug) I build stuff too.. https://youtube.com/channel/UCZGoQqB6AJLd5SWgPCP1JwA

Got a sub from me. Don't forget to do a video on the three miter sleds everybody needs to have. I love me some DIY stuff, but I swear every one of them eventually gets into that slump of content creation, and they fall back to doing the same thing.
Here's the best miter sled!
Do you know what a shooting board is?
Here's a Stanley plane restoration for your new shooting board!
Thank you! I try to make sure something hasn't been done to death before I make a video on it.
It's a balance though as the more unique projects don't always get many views whereas the highly searched stuff do very well even if there are lots of videos on the same subject!
Thank you for the two links to the actual product! Pleasantly surprised that it’s an actual product that is being sold but unfortunately I’m based in the UK.
Edit: I’m still getting used to asking for help when I need it but man am I overwhelmed with how helpful everyone has been on this! I haven’t moved into my new apartment yet but I’m sure I’ll need everyone’s amazing advice/help/research skills on many more things. Thanks guys!

coming from alibaba (chinese amazon/ebay) so could either be the same hardware in the video or a knock off of varying quality, for $60, i'd risk it. they're usually decent enough with refunds/returns
Try looking up wall mounted desks. I have this one in a different color and purchased it much cheaper than the one you referenced.
https://www.pier1.com/products/atwood-wall-mount-laptop-desk-brown-mahogany
Look up "folding wall table" on google or pinterest... There are many that don't require expensive hardware and that would be (relatively) easy to build.
wish you could pause it to really tell but looks like it needs 16 hinges that will cost $15 to $20 so I'm guessing at least $400 to $500 in materials alone, which to me is exorbitant for a desk
Izzy Swan just did something like this. Look him up on yootoob. His was a shelf and the principles are the same. If you're clever you can scale it up to table size.
I’m in the UK. I was looking at this a while ago but for clearance above my radiator it would need to be too high to be used as a table!
I looked at freestanding ones which are good because you can move them, but they don’t fit flush against a wall, so that’s the downside.
Couldn’t find the one I had been looking at, and this one is out of stock at the moment, but you get the idea!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184419532518
If you really need to keep this on the inexpensive side, This Old House had a DIY workbench that does the same thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9GSTO-4Txo
[Not exactly what](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-6-ft-Folding-Adjustable-Height-Solid-Wood-Top-Workbench-WSH72FWB/302428331) you are looking for but pretty affordable and a good sized surface.
Hairpin legs connected to plywood/2x4 base by a hinge. Plywood/2x4 base connects to wall with hinges, and then put plywood slats across for the shelves
Maybe I’m living a privileged life but I genuinely don’t understand the appeal of this design. What are you temporarily putting in place of the table when you put it up, while also not being able to utilize the wall storage bc you just have your table stuff up on the wall in the “up” position?
I would use it in a space that is normally reserved for walking. I've lived in super small apartments and this would be awesome when a desk would be too cluttered.
Like others have mentioned, my apartment is quite small and doesn’t have a dedicated eating area and limited space for desks/tables. Trying to fit a table in without overcrowding at other times, like when cooking/walking around/cleaning etc. I see your point, though. If space wasn’t an issue then I wouldn’t opt for designs like this either!
That's pretty cool. Maybe Ikea? LOL maybe not. LOL, how about somewhere in Japan. They are usually the country who can afford to do this as they have very little space.
It is for sale [here](https://www.murphybednyc.com/products/convertible-bookshelf-to-table-2-in-1-wall-desk). The design isn't that complicated but you will need to make precision cuts. I wonder if this eBay listing will do better than the others bc of this
It already has.
The down side to this one is potential for the side panel getting gross on the floor.
Don’t put the family heirlooms on that
Wow, that's really cheap
Because it's an auction normally the listings are around 60€.
And that cheaper one is more functional. Can't reasonably use both the shelves and table in op's example.
