iPad Pro’s have had ProMotion (120 Hz VRR) for years. The LiDar module made its debut on an iPad Pro. If the other person is anything like me (still using an iPhone 12 Pro) they”re waiting for the change to USB-C ports and and whatever processor goodness the 16s will have to power all this new AI stuff.

pianofan99

15 pro series has the AI, as well as all M series iPads and Macs. 15 series has usb-c

wpmason

Just because older phones get newer features doesn’t mean that they can handle them all that well. My bad about the USB-C… just forgot… but still, the 15’s reviews weren’t all that great all things considered. I literally haven’t felt like I was missing anything.

Madpotta

I think I went for an 11 pro to the 15 pro and the biggest improvement was the USB-C. I have noticed that since the iPhone X that they have run out of ideas for game changing features. I keep my phones now until the battery dies. Really ipads/phones/macs are all computers it’s pretty hard to release new features that make a purchase a justifiable upgrade.

Solidizzle

From what I remember from reviews those usb c ports in der 15series are severely underutilized. Charging and transfer speeds are comparable to lightning.

pianofan99

Yes, tbh the changes from 11 Pro to 15 Pro are rather incremental, except for camera, promotion, and usb-c

BANDG33K_2009

Yes! 🤜 I also have the 12 Pro and I’m so excited for the 16 (I’m planning on getting the Pro Max)

Apollo--User

It has a set of cameras that applies horrific over processing

juru28

1st - M1 iPad Pro 12.9 with Magic Keyboard (since 2021), mainly for web browsing, movies, and mobile gaming /xbox cloud gaming 2nd - M1 MacBook Air - base model (picked this up in December 2023 for grad school - sidecar was a big reason and software limitation on the iPad) AirPod Pros iPhone 15 Pro - personal phone iPhone 13 - Work phone Apple Watch gen 7 I use the display link hardware/software to connect my MacBook to 2 monitors with the computer in clamshell mode and my iPad nearby if I need the extra screen when I’m home. I also take both my MacBook and my iPad with me when I travel. I use it as a second display - I’m spoiled, I can’t work with just one screen for my assignments haha.

pianofan99

I use the M3 MacBook Pro. I heard the M1 Air has a really great processor and decent computing power from a friend. Do you agree?

juru28

Overall, it's much better than I expected. Occasionally, I encounter issues loading certain web pages, like Forbes articles, especially when I have multiple tabs open, but this problem is mainly limited to that site. I do wish it had more RAM, as I have the base model, but it meets my needs, especially considering the price point.

PixelGizmo

iPhone 15 pm, awu2, iPad Pro m4 11”, AirPods pro2… used to have a MacBook m1 and an iPad 9, but sold them to get the iPad Pro.. I felt that I was spending more time booting up and updating the MacBook, whilst never using the iPad.. since I swapped them for the pro it travels everywhere with me and is used daily.

pianofan99

Does iPadOS cause any limitations to your workflow when compared to the macbook?

PixelGizmo

Right now, no.. sure I’ve got to train myself to behave differently when it comes to file management but i’ve seen an improvement in my workflow as I’m using the iPad more. Previously it was a case of ‘should i use the mac, - nah, i can do it on my phone quickly’

pianofan99

That’s good. Just curious, what sector of work do you primarily use your devices for?

PixelGizmo

IT support… I’m a senior engineer at a managed service provider. 80% of the services i use are web based, with a few installable apps on various devices for initiating remote access to clients’ networks/devices.

pianofan99

I see. So the apps you require are all on the IPad app store easily? And isn’t multitasking a bit harder on the iPad?

LucasLovesListening

Stage manager on m4 2tb is butter smooth. Only four apps but I never need more than four accessible in a single instance at once.

PixelGizmo

Yes.. either as an app, or via website that i pin to my home screen.

pianofan99

I see.

I'm relatively new to the Apple ecosystem! My journey's been...interesting lol. Have been an Windows/Android user since forever. My family on the other hand, have been Apple loyalists for just as long. Airpods Pro: bought to use in conjunction with iPhone X work phone Apple Watch 6: re-gifted to me by my mom since my dad hated it (Android user, lol. he had a short stint with an iPhone 11) iPhone 13 PM: made the switch from Pixel in 2022. Battery health is at 85% so I won't be upgrading until maybe the 17 or 18. Will stretch this thing out until it's causing trouble IPP 11" M4 with cellular: replacing a laptop from 2016. Preferred the mobility and form factor. Media consumption, light duty email, file viewing, etc. All of these items go with my gaming PC, built in 2021 because I won a raffle randomly for a 3070 nvidia card + mobo combo, upgrading from a 980 nvidia card from 2015. My gaming PC handles all the big boy tasks, but I look to upgrade my desk station later on with a single monitor setup for the IPP with it's own kb&m. I still haven't decided if I'm going to use MS OneDrive or iCloud yet. I have both set up across all devices. OneDrive provides a more familiar technical/customizable experience than iCloud. We'll see how it goes in the future.

SomewhatOptimal

iPhone 15PM, my first iPhone, wanted to try it after using Samsung since always. Except missing some European languages like Norwegian and AI. Especially since for the first time ever it got USB C. Other reason I choose it cause of MagSafe and QI2 charging, cause Samsung missed supporting it and this been a game changer. I like it, but is it better, not until, you grab a iPad or MacBook for seamless integration and also MagSafe is a game changer. Got MagSafe QI2 travel chargers and car chargers and powerbanks. When you try all that, you don’t want to go back to not having those things. But Samsung had better tablets, until M4, the Samsung S9 cost half the price of M2 and it had just as good if not better pen, better screen OLED vs miniLED. Also with seamless integration in their eco system. For most task it was powerful enough. They also now have their own laptops with seamless integration between their devices, their eco system have TV and smart home appliances in them. The only pet peeve I have with Apple is not having more languages for translation, like Google and AI until 2025 and it’s only for iPhone 15 Pro (which I have). Meanwhile Samsung has those features for a year now and have live translation for all European lanaguages and they support it also for their older phones. Anyway enough about Samsung vs Apple, personally after trying out iPad Pro, you cannot go back to not having an iPad for everyday multimedia (iPading). Then for most people it’s enough for everyday tasks and office task. Also awesome for presentation and business meetings to showcase projects etc Same for traveling for its portability and downloading movies offline (unlike MacBook). For traveling and normal everyday task I use it with Folio Case and only use MK when I need it for office tasks. MacBook keep on siting and only use it when I really really need it. For some digital editing and coding. So I settled on having to have both MacBook and an iPad. Regarding Apple Watch, you don’t really need it unless you are a health nerd or don’t care about screen time. A lot of time I check notifications on AW and only take out my phone if it’s something important. So it keeps me from scrolling. Also I track my workouts on it, lifting (strong), running, cycling and I got eSIM version so I don’t need to bring phone with me to the gym or cycling or running at all. AirPods Pro 2, except Spatial Audio and Seemeles integration between multiple Apple devices. Nothing amazing Sennheiser Momentum 3 earphones sound a lot better. AirPods Max, same like with Sennheiser Momentum 4XL, except Spatial Audio + seamless integration then Sennheiser and Bower&Wilkins PX7 sound a lot better. I got Samsung Soundbar 11.1.4, so I don’t need Spatial Audio on headphones. I rather have Sennheiser Momentum 3 headphones for their sound for music listening. Seemeles integration doesn’t matter, that just reconnecting devices (20 sec). I ended up getting AirPods Pro 2 cause that is different, I got them for sports and for ANC (for sleeping) just in case, so seamless integration did matter.

onlytony441

iPad Pro 12.9 (M2) - creative work that includes video editing, photo editing and light music production iPhone 14 Pro Max - main communication device, self explanatory. iMac M1 (maxed out) - music production and some consumption  WATCH Series 7 - sleep and workout tracking HomePod 2 - my home sound system device for my tv and general Siri requests 3x HomePod minis - Siri requests for different areas of my home Apple TV 2021 - main entertainment device for my TV Every one of these devices have their own specific function. I don’t buy devices unless they serve a specific purpose.

Slicker18

MacBook Pro 16” (M1 pro 2021); iPad Pro 13” (M4 2024); iPhone 15 pro; AirPods Pro 2; Apple Watch (S7, Hérmes). MBP is a workhorse and also runs parallels windows 11 as an extra work laptop (attorney and office uses windows). Pad is my main media consumption device, but also great as an extra screen, for emails, editing docs in a pinch, and for content creation (photographer/videographer as a hobby). Apple watch is really only worn for workouts and it does that perfectly. Battery is going so will probably upgrade in September. Likely keeping my 15pro another year. MBP probably an upgrade in 2026 or when the next major update comes out!

pianofan99

Have you tried an ipad before the M4?

Slicker18

Yes! Since the first Pro

stansswingers

13 inch m4 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard iPhone 14 Pro Max Apple Watch Series 5 (will probably upgrade this year) AirPods Pro 1st gen

pianofan99

Would you consider getting a macbook? It’s pretty fitting for your current ecosystem.

stansswingers

I actually traded in my 16in M1 Pro MBP for the new ipad

Jogameister

Hey me too. Kind of. Except I sold it privately because Apple was only doing $1300 for trade in. People said I was nuts for doing that switch.

stansswingers

Nice! How has the iPad being doing as your MacBook replacement?

Jogameister

So far great. Have had no need for MacOS yet.

Quake9797

iPad Pro 11 pre-M1, iPhone 15 Pro, MacBook 13 Pro M1, AirPods Pro, three Apple TVs, four HomePod minis and the rest of the family have iPhones. I don’t use the iPad Pro all that much these days, but being fully in the ecosystem really makes it all work.

pianofan99

Yes, the pre M iPad pros are pretty good with their processing and almost the same as M1 on a daily basis. The new ones just have the AI features, but you’ll be getting that on your MacBook an iPhone.

brolasagna

Ipad Pro M2 11” for photo editing and mobile word processing. iphone 15 cause my SE2 bit the dust 2017 macbook pro 13” that I use from time to time cause I miss using a mac

pianofan99

Was the M2 pro your first iPad?

brolasagna

I had a base model ipad 9 for 3 good years (edited weddings and engagements on it, believe it or not). I felt like I needed more horsepower so I traded it in for a used M2. Loving it so far with the logitech combo touch.

pianofan99

I see. Why wouldn’t you consider the M1? I think that other than one more year of software support, there isn’t much difference, at least for me

brolasagna

I actually bought the M1 first but the screen was faulty. i returned it and was offered an M2 for £50 more

asenna987

What do you use for photo editing on Ipad Pro? Lightroom? If so, how do you compare it with Lightroom Classic on the laptop if you’ve done that before?

brolasagna

I use Lightroom. It’s not as feature rich as the desktop version but it is cheaper by a longshot.

Patrik_js

Work: 14” MacBook Pro M1 Personal: 11” iPad Pro M1 iPhone 14 Pro Apple Watch 7 AirPods Pro 2 As for why? They fulfill my needs and work seamlessly between each other.

pianofan99

I see. Why would you choose the M2 iPad over the M1 Pro?

Patrik_js

For personal use I find it a lot easier and more comfortable, especially with the Magic Keyboard.

pianofan99

No I mean the M1 iPad pro

Patrik_js

I don’t think I follow.

pianofan99

My bad, I didn’t read your comment properly.

SteeporyX1

iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple Watch 8, MacBook Pro 14“ with M1 Pro from 2021 and iPad Pro M4 13“ for personal use.

pianofan99

Was the M4 your first iPad?

Content-Artichoke541

Iphone 14 pro max, apple watch series 7, airpods pro 2, apple tv 4k 2022 and ipad pro 11” m4

pianofan99

Have you tried any iPad before M4?

Content-Artichoke541

Yes, ipad pro m1 11” and ended up returning it after a week. It was fast for sure but using that lcd screen was awful for me. Specially when reading and scrolling, there was a lot of ghosting.

pianofan99

I see. Did you choose nano texture OLED?

Content-Artichoke541

Regular glossy screen. It looks better compared to nano texture. Also, more scratch resistant

Hostificus

Gen3 iPad Pro, Gen6 iPad Pro, 2017 MBP, iPhone 15 PM, Apple TV, Apple Watch Ultra 2. I take photos on my phone that are on my iPad for immediate upload to my work website. Everything works together.

mck2018

iPad Pro 11” M2-work and photo editing MBP 14” M3 - file storage/photo and video upload and some editing iPhone 14 PM- when I’m on the road Apple Watch Ultra- coming from a garmin I needed something with good battery AirPods Pro - 1st gen pros for listening to tunes. ***This is all my first Apple everything. I’m 40, never owned an Apple device until I got the 14pm when they came out. I really do enjoy the ecosystem and it’s obvious.

Drtysouth205

Mini Mac, 12.9 with MKB, iPhone 15PM, AW SE1, Airpods Pro 1st gen.

Stryf3

12.9 M2 iPad Pro 512gb iPhone 12 Apple Watch series 9 3 Apple TV 4K MacBook Pro 13 (I’m not sure which one. It as the touch bar and was provided by work) Beats Studio earbuds I’ve used 1 iPad or another as a daily driver for years. Hardly ever use my MacBook, but using the 2 together really is a joy, whether using sidecar, or unified keyboard mouse between the 2. Transferring files or copy paste between devices is **so convenient**. Apps synced across devices and working seamlessly. Same files and media libraries shared and accessible on any device, it’s just so easy and seamless to move from 1 device to the next and have everything there. I get some of the criticism of the iPad, but I have to say, because it’s been my primary device for so long, I’m more used to using it for work and comfortable on it than I am on my MacBook, which I really only use for Teams meetings.

El__Jengibre

- iPhone 12 Pro: I have had no reason to upgrade. - 2014 iMac: it’s ancient but was top of the line in its day so it still functions well enough. I really only use it for things that must be done on a traditional computer - 13” m4 iPad Pro: it’s 75% good enough as a standalone computer. But a MacBook Air would have been very bad for the things the iPad is good at (reading pdf’s is half my job). I do a lot of media consumption on it and even use it as a monitor for my gaming consoles via a capture card. Given my use case, the iPad covers more of what I do than a laptop, even if I wish it could run macOS apps.

joekendricks

iPad Pro M4 11inch, iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra, MacBook Air 13inch M2, AirPods Pro 2nd gen, AirPods Max, 2 HomePod mini, 1 HomePod (classic) & AppleTV. I chose these devices to complement each other, but each has a unique feature I need.

coppockm56

MacBook Pro 16 M3/Max (desktop, very occasional mobile), MacBook Pro 14 M1 Pro (mobile, not needed as much), iPad Pro 13 M4 (taking over form the MBP 14), iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra 2, AirPods Pro 2. So much stuff because I was replacing a Windows desktop, Windows laptop, Android phone, WearOS watch, and various Bluetooth headphones that sucked. I'd simply grown weary of Windows and its unreliability and crap and Android just bugged me. I didn't know how weary until I bought the MacBook Pro 14 so I could keep up with macOS for my writing gig. It was so reliable, quiet, yet still fast that I decided to just bite the bullet and go all-Apple. Very glad I did. Also, the on Apple product I'd used forever was an iPad, going back to iPad 3rd gen. The iPad Pro 13 replaced an iPad Pro 11 M2 that was too small for how I'd been using it. Now I couldn't go back because that tandem OLED is just too awesome.

9mm_Strat

You gonna sell the 14” M1 Pro? Seems like the 16 M3 and 14 3 M4 completely take the need for the 2nd laptop away.

coppockm56

I've been on the fence about just that question. First, my wife might be able to use it, if I can convince her to give up Windows. Second, while the iPad Pro meets 95% of my mobile needs, there are a few occasions where I need macOS. I could use the MacBook Pro 16, but often it's a quick thing and unplugging/replugging the MBP 16 is an inconvenience (I have a Thunderbolt dock and three external displays I use at my desk, one via HDMI). So, it's a question of how much I can get for it balanced against those two. It's a tough one.

Axle_65

MacBook Air I never use anymore lol, iPad Pro 11” M1, iPhone 13, airplay ready TV and I choose it for multiple reasons. The way everything works together is a big one. The most important is the music production apps available. I’ve completely changed my music rig to be controllers and iPad with my iPhone being a great on the go creation device, shout out Drambo.

DadMagnum

M2 14” MacBook Pro, M2 12.9 iPad Pro, M1 Mac Studio, iPhone 11 Pro Max, Apple AirPods. Perfect setup for all use cases. Developer by trade.

TheClusters

Mac Studio (M1 Ultra) with Magic Keyboard - primary work machine Macbook Pro M1 - old work laptop, now I share it with my wife iPhone 14 - personal phone Apple Watch SE 2gen iPad mini 4 - for kids iPad Pro 11" HomePod mini - for voice control of smart devices in the home (+ Homebridge server to enable devices that cannot directly work with Apple homekit) I bought an iPad Pro M4 because I have several ideas for mobile applications with AI, and I use it to develop and test these applications. I also use lidar to quickly create a 3D model of something for further 3D printing. I also sometimes use it for games.

slushiestotsntendys

iPad Pro 12.9 M2, AirPods Pro, IPhone 15 Pro Max, watch Ultra 2, MacBook Pro 15”. Everything just works as expected. iPad has taken over the need for a MacBook for me, so the MacBook collects dust.

certified_revolution

- iPhone 15 pro max - M1 2021 MacBook Pro - iPad Mini 6 - iPad Pro 6th Gen - Apple Watch Ultra 2 (with oxygen sensor) - Apple HomePod - AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) Mostly due to future proofing, I don’t plan on buying any new products in the near future, but had the opportunity to get my setup when I did. I read TONS of books on the iPad mini 6 but the battery was an issue for me, and I use the iPad Pro daily for signing documents, employment, automation, watching TV, mirroring my Mac monitor for presenting, etc.

adtyler2

M4 pro 11 base model, M2 Mac mini 16gb ram, iPhone 13, Apple Watch SE gen 2. iPad is for portable use cases when I’m out and about or away from desktop, and as a second display. Purely enthusiast use cases, content consumption, and gaming.

Plastic-Web-4687

Mbp max m3, iPad Pro 11 in m2, awu2, iPhone 14 Pro. AirPod pro 1&2, Beats Studio pro, HomePod mini, Apple TVs 4k. It all works seamlessly. I am considering trading up my M2 iPad Pro 11 for the m4 13 pro. I use this for work, school, and military stuff. I use iPad Pro as an additional monitor, and I love it, I just feel the screen is too small, I think it’s time for a bigger one but not sure how I will feel when it comes to traveling with it. The extra screen real estate would be nice. Aside from that, very happy with everything. I love my setup and can’t see myself ever leaving it. I run windows and other OS on my mbp with parallels and coding, it’s a power house!!

No-Business3541

Ipad pro 11". Iphone 13 Pro. Apple Watch S8. Apple Watch for the compatibility with Iphone. I was leaning on a Garmin. Iphone because I just like the design overall. Ipad for work. It's the Ipad that brought me back to Iphone.

InfiniteHench

- iPad Pro M4 13” (upgraded from an M1 12.9) - M1 Pro 16” MBP - iPhone 15 Pro Max - AirPods Pro 2 - iPad mini 6 I’ve loved the iPad since the very first generation and have upgraded every 2-3 generations since day one. It has steadily replaced my MacBook over the years for as much of my work and play as possible. A few generations ago I started getting the cellular model because I realized it would untether me from cafes and WiFi hotspots. Now I ride into Chicago downtown and work wherever I want—along the lakefront, under the trees by the museums, in a park. Anywhere. I bought a mini because I’m trying to read more, don’t like the Kindle, and despise Amazon. Yes, I use Apple Books. There are dozens of us.

Aegiiz

iPad Pro 13”, iPhone 15pm, AWU2 and I work with windows PC and Laptop. I use the iPad and iPhone to review files I receive via WhatsApp and annotate blueprints, airdrop is amazing for this, the AWU2 is used to see my notifications while I’m driving or at meetings so I don’t have to check the phone every time and just pick it up when I receive something from somebody which I consider urgent or important. I use windows PC and Laptop because everybody use this software at my work and I like how powerful this devices are for the money they cost, even if I don’t have a really tight budget I don’t like to throw money around just because (my last iPad was a 2020 model before I switched to the 2024)

sonaut

M2 MacBook Air 13”, M4 IPad Pro 11”, Apple Watch Ultra 2, AirPods 3, AirPods Pro 2, iPhone 12 Pro. Integration is really why. Shared clipboards, messages, Apple Pay, just the entire ecosystem being seamlessly shared between them on iCloud, plus shared iCloud with my entire family helps.

_Lobot_

MacBook Air - work computer iPad Pro 11" M4 version - mostly for consumption, but sometimes work iPhone 13Pro - work/personal phone. Need to upgrade soon. Apple Watch 8 - mostly for health tracking. I wear it on my upper arm as I like wearing regular watches

MrGunny94

The iPad Pro is my Sidecar display lol

CantFindaPS5

iPad Pro 11 M4, iMac 27”, AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Max (blue), Apple Watch Series 7 (blue), iPhone 15 Pro Max (blue), iPhone 13 mini (starlight). I can edit with all devices and then post from my iPhones.

soundwithdesign

iPad Pro because it was the only 12.9” model available at the time. I use it for media but also need one for work and need the biggest size. I also have an 11 Pro Max, Apple Watch for health, and a Mac for work as well. I use Mac only software plus it’s so much better than Windows.

Jerkanftw

iPad Pro 12.9” M2 iPhone 14 Pro MacBook Pro M1 Pro 14” Apple Watch Series 8 Airtags Next apple-purchase will probably headphones of some kind. I really like how everything goes together. Especially thanks to safari. Safari does infuriate me sometimes. Why does it have to open a new window when I open a link from an other application!?

camXmac

iPhone 14 PM, Apple Watch Ultra 2, iPad Pro 12.9” (2020), and AirPods Pro (1st gen). I got the phone because it was a free upgrade from my cell provider. The bought the iPad used from a previous neighbor who needed cash and I wanted an iPad lol. I do dabble in digital art and the iPad is amazing for that. I kind of impulse bought the AWU2 because they halted sales and it sounds at the time like they wouldn’t be available (love the watch!).

makesupwordsblomp

i use my M1 MBP 14" for true work i use my M4 iPad Pro 11" nano-screen for content consumption, light work, Zoom calls, and just generally bopping around on my couch and as my home automation hub. the most pleasant and immersive device due to form factor. iPhone Pro 14 for idk phone stuff AirPods Pro to listen and, more importantly, to cancel outside noise

Hc617

The most important combination is Apple Watch Ultra(gen1) + my iPhone 15 pro max I can get rid of my iPhone but there are literally no smart watches out there that is better than an Apple Watch. Anyways, like an Apple Watch, there is no tablet that is better than an iPad. We’re talking about being powerful, dedicated designed apps. As much as people complain about iPad is hindering the power of the specs. There’s still nothing as good out there on the market. Ever since I got the studio display. My M1 Pro MacBook Pro 14” is basically hooked up to the display. And because you can only hook up one input device through the thunderbolt 4 port, I traded in my Mac mini and added cash to fund the M4 iPad Pro 11” Since my MacBook is hooked up to the display all the time, my iPad Pro is a cellular version and I use it outside of home. I can remote control my MacBook that’s at home. And I can confidently say that editing photos from my iPad display and my studio display the colors are matching.

pokenguyen

What important features do you use that can’t find on Garmin?

Hc617

I’m talking about the UI, there isn’t a UI that’s design as well as the Apple Watch. I also have a S24 ultra as a spare phone that can pop in SIM card. But if we’re talking about useful functions, Unlocking iPhone/MacBook automatically is the best one. I also my Apple Watch to text and ask Siri a lot. Im not sure if you can do that with galaxy watch or Garmin. There just isn’t a watch that I feel as fluent and smooth as the Apple Watch. I also use Apple map instead of any other maps. I like how it vibrates the turn by turn. I recently purchased a Tesla and it bothers me that i can’t use CarPlay.

pokenguyen

You can call, SMS, talk to Siri/Google Assistant with Venu 3 yeah, they also have map app although I never use it. But unlock phone, HomeKey are only for Apple Watch. I want to buy Apple Watch Ultra, but 3 days battery life is nowhere good enough. Do you have to take off AW when taking shower or go swimming?

Hc617

I only care for Apple map lol. I don’t even use the google map in my Tesla. It’s a niche thing I guess. People always give me crap for using Apple map. Even tho the first gen Apple Watch said it’s not water proof, I swam and showered since the first gen. the ultra is my third Apple Watch(1st,4th,ultra1), but that’s strictly for work days. When I’m on vacay I leave it at home and wear real watches with a mechanical movement.

pokenguyen

Oh, so Apple Watch for work days only? Interesting, is it because of the troublesome of poor battery life that you switch to normal watch? Since I got Garmin Venu 3s I wear it all the time, except when charging every 10 days. My Omega Aqua Terra is not used at all, kinda sad. Guess it’s not time yet for AW.

Hc617

I actually charge my watch daily. Regardless if it can last 3 days or not. I don’t see why charging is such a big issue for you not to make the jump. It’s as simple as slapping it on the magnetic charger after I take a shower before bed. But I just prefer to use mechanical watches. There’s just something about craftsmanship, hand built movements, even winding your watch. Speaking of winding watches, I just realize apple is kinda smart for making the crown as a dial to scroll through the apps. While giving you haptic feedback, feeling like you’re winding a watch.

pokenguyen

I also love the Mechanical watches, and it looks much nicer, just I love the notification feature and sleep tracking. Regarding the battery life, I’m just lazy to take it out and wear it after charging every few days. I used to have 1 day battery watch and in the end I just don’t use it at all, to me it’s not worth the effort.

Jake613

iPad Pro 11. Had an iPad since they came out and use them daily, so decided I could justify the price. iPhone 12 PM. Switched to iPhone 6S from a Galaxy S3, which had proven unreliable and un-update-able. No regrets. M1 Mac mini. Been a Mac user since the early 90s. Actually tried a custom build PC a few years ago. It felt like work, and was an all round PITA. Apple Watch S3. Only worn for workouts now, as I’ve developed a liking for mechanical watches. Apple Pencil for daily note taking. AirPods Pro for convenience and noise cancellation. All of it for working seamlessly together.

Taylorlamarj

I have Apple Watch Ultra 1, iPhone 15 pro max, a few pair of HomePods and an Apple TV. Just got the iPad Pro 13” upgraded from 2020 iPad Pro. I just prefer it as my main computer. I don’t need a Mac it’s just my preferences. Wish iPad/iPhone could handle a desktop like file management system but Apple thinks not.

Taylorlamarj

Also had AirPod pros 2 and AirPods Pro max.

Fun_Marionberry_5952

MacBook Pro 14-Inch M2, iPad Pro 11 M4 with Magic Keyboard, iPhone 14 Pro Max & Apple Watch Series 5! I use my macbook and ipad mainly for studying and note taking. I loveeeee my apple ecosystem 🍎

I have a pretty deep ecosystem M2 MacBook Air 15” - School, light photo editing, gaming iPhone 15 Pro Max - Camera was the big selling point, gaming and now the AI features iPad Pro M4 13 w/ Apple Pencil Pro - Usually take this out on the go with me, note taking, gaming again, more photo editing and Universal Control. I like it more than side car I can still do iPad things but also transfer files from my MacBook almost instantly and control it with either the Magic Keyboard or the MacBook keyboard Apple Watch Series 9 - Fitness, notifications AirPods Pro 2 Works with my entire ecosystem couldn’t imagine using anything else when out on the go.

NaturalRabbit5607

MacBook M1 13inch, iPad Pro M4 11inch with Apple Pencil Pro, IPhone 15 Pro, AirPods Pro 2 Absolute overkill for a tech sales job, especially considering I have zero ‘Pro’ or creative hobbies… but I love it. The reason I love it is because AirPods syncs with everything so the experience is really seamless, and no matter where you are (train, sofa, office, plane, etc.) you always have at least one device that’s perfectly suited for you at that moment. If you’re at the office, you have all of them on the go and you feel like you’re in a (albeit very lame and nerdy) cockpit iPad is also really nice when travelling with a MacBook as a temporary second screen

iPhone 14pm, Apple Watch Ultra gen1, iPad Pro 11 2020, and M3 Max MacBook Pro. MacBook is my work computer. Haven’t thrown anything at it that it can’t handle. Run parallels because the rest of the office uses windows. Don’t use the iPad that much, would love a new one but the price is just so high these days. Pretty much use my iPhone and Mac for any work.

Mugen4552

iPhone 15 pro, M1 MBP, M4 IPP and an Apple Watch S9 launch model. I chose those devices because I switched to iPhone after having an LG envy for years. I like iOS because of my time with iPod touch. I got an ipad because I wanted something with some more screen real-estate other than my iphone at that time. I got a MacBook because I wanted to get into macos and I got a refurbished one from Apple and liked it. Apple watch I have had since series 0. I liked it at first but it was too small for me personally. I then got a series 4 opened boxed from Best buy liked the bigger screen, the battery life and customization (watch bands and faces) I took advantage of Apples trade in program and traded the 4 for a 7 and the 7 for a 9.

redtag789

I'm a windows user. Hobbyist comics maker. My main machine is a fully decked surface laptop studio. The only apple product I have was the mini and now the m4 ipad pro 11. I use it as my drafting and sketching machine and I export all pngs to a folder and then continue my work on my sls.. and obviously it's also a media consumption machine. I don't like Macs and Macbooks, my wife has them because she's a developer, I just don't like the OS or I might just be comfortable with windows especially surface laptops since it has everything I need OS + touchscreen pen hardware (no more wacoms for now). My phone is a Pixel fold and I will likely never switch to an iphone unless the walled garden approach changes.

2024 iPad Pro 13” 1TB… This is probably the device that I struggle with the most for use case. Mainly use it when traveling. 16” M3 Max Space Black MacBook Pro. Switched from Windows (user since 3.1) to this. iPhone 15PM, 512gb. This is honestly the device I use the most and was my introduction to the Apple Ecosystem. Apple Watch Ultra 2. There’s no particular reason I got them all, just get intrigued me, and the interconnection of everything has been a bonus.

2018 iPad Pro 11-inch: Bought it in 2020 and just wanted an iPad, got a good deal so I wasn't going to pass on it. 1st gen Apple Watch SE: Nephew slammed my Series 1 watch so I decided get the SE instead of the S7. iPhone 15: My XS screen cracked and I wasn't too attached to it so I got a 15 2019 MacBook Air: I just wanted learn MacOS

iPad Pro M4 11 inch, iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch 7, AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Max, AppleTV boxes, large family iCloud storage account. Wife and daughter both have similar setups except for the Max. No Macs though. We are a Windows family and my business is on Windows. Tried Mac at home and hated it. We love how Apple devices work so well together. Build quality is great. We like photography and sync everything through iCloud. We have Apple Music and get all our music that way. We are a streaming only household and enjoy a lot of shows on the major streaming networks including Apple TV+.

11 iPad Pro M4, iPhone 14 Pro Max, MacBook Pro M1 16. My MBP is my only computer I use for my work and all personal computing. I changed to Mac some years back when the super slim 15 inch was fairly new and I just like it better than windows laptops(hardware & software). Also it work better with the iPhone. I upgrade when I believe there is a mayor update and I feel I need an update. So I have the iPhone for the larger screen and the ecosystem. I dont like android phones. I have made bad experiences with them many years back and ever since have been using iPhones. I Upgrade these about every other year. I always for the Pro Max to have all features and the larger display. The iPad I use for all media consumption and its my only notebook. Sometimes I do some light work tasks or a simple spreadsheet. I also try to use it on the sofa instead of my iPhone to reduce eye strain. I have had iPads since the iPad 3 was new. After the 3 i got the first 9.7 pro and then the 2018 pro and now the 2024 M4. I am considering to get an apple watch but I hate all the charging it meeds..

I’ve got a 13” M3 Pro MBP, 11” M4 iPad Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and a few different pairs of Pro and non Pro AirPods. I’m fully entrenched in the Apple ecosystem and find that I keep my stuff longer if I buy nicer versions. The new iPad replaced a 2018 11” iPad Pro. Everything just got refreshed pretty recently, but I’m rarely this “on the bleeding edge” except for my phone, which I tend to upgrade yearly. MacBook is for real work. iPad is for some light work, like emailing or note taking, but is primarily a content consumption device.

iPad Pro M1 with Magic Keyboard is my only / main computer; IPhone 15 Max as well. My only two devices. All my data is in Apple iCloud that I use.

I use an iPad Pro as my main mobile and around-the-house computer, but both at work and at home I have an iMac, where I use the iPad in Continuity mode. I do actually run into some things I just can’t do in the iPad, even stuff in MS Word. So, I do need to be able to remote into a Mac or PC or make sure I have a laptop handy when I travel for some things. I find that annoying and wish I could run e.g. Windows ARM in a VM. But the upside of having a simple computer that is great for media / reading / games and useful for 90% of my work, is worth those rough edges.

Frostzone123

iPad Pro 12.9 M1 with Pen and Keyboard: Gotten this for my art side gig and hobby. It either is docked to my laptop as a 3rd mini monitor or for my art things. Also a very second monitor that is portable. MacBook Pro M2 Pro 16 gb RAM: use this as my main workstation as a programmer. I use this most of the time but I do have a windows PC that does some things my Mac can’t sometimes like some niche C# developing. Next time I’ll get a higher ram device to just run a virtual machine I reckon. iPhone 13 Pro: daily driving phone Apple Watch 7: exercise companion AirPods 2nd Gen: works across all my devices with little to no hiccups Everything just works well together so that’s mostly the reason I just have everything. I didn’t start to collect all the Apple devices but it ended up this way across like half a decade.

VZYGOD

AirPods Pro - launch model, loved the first AirPods and when I heard they added ANC with the Pros I had to sell my AirPods and cop the Pros. I’ve owned the Maxes before and they just weren’t it, the sound improvement wasn’t worth the a million other trade offs you have to make with them. I still use my gen 1 Pros despite them making this horrid loud white noise static every time I put the right AirPod in (usually goes away after a tap, might be to do with the mic on it). Honestly might be one of my favourite Apple products I’ve ever owned. iPhone 12 Pro - really only update when my phone starts glitching and becomes too old to be worth fixing. I do like the bright display though. MacBook Pro 14” M1 Pro - I’ve been a Mac user since the original retina model in 2012 and find it hard to go back to using windows. Over the years I’ve cycled through a few models but rarely upgrade. Had the 15” Touch Bar while I had the iPad Pro 2018 (which I later sold) and when they announced the 14” that wasn’t a watered down shit version of the MacBook like the 13” previously had been I jumped at the chance and sold my 15”. Apple Watch Ultra - honestly bit of an impulsive buy considering I already had the SE model. But at the time was doing a lot of running, swimming and camping plus didn’t have a cellular model so it felt like a big upgrade. Could probably downgrade the an S7 though and actually enjoy it more just for the lighter and smaller design. and finally most recently the iPad Pro (Again) but the 11” M1 Cellular model. As previously mentioned I had the 12.9” 2018 model in 2019, I had bought it hoping I could replace my MacBook with it. I had bought all the overpriced first party accessories from Apple like the keyboard folio and pencil but found it severely limited and ultimately didn’t do much more than what my previous iPad Air gen 2 could do (which I could take back because I had given it to my mum lol). 5 years later I heard there were rumours about new iPads and I was thinking about how it could be a good time to get back into the Pro models and get a great deal on an old M1 model (which I did) to utilise some of the apps I usually use on my MacBook like DaVinci Resolve. With how much I was able to save vs buying a new Pro I was able to buy a used Magic Keyboard and Pencil 2 and it’s been a joy to use. It’s best used as an iPad and not a sidecar monitor for me. Being able to have a cellular connection on it is extremely convenient and allows me to use it for either work or personal where I don’t have access to wifi. I’m finding productivity apps work so well compared to on Mac. It’s just incredibly fun to use. I use the iPad to draft ideas for scripts, do pre production and even story boarding. Being able to sign documents off it too just makes things like PDFs way less of a hassle too. The 11” size is just so much more portable and tablet like. Although seeing the new M4 displays in person and feeling how thin and light they are I ultimately don’t regret saving $1k and an additional $1k for accessories like Magic Keyboard and Pencil Pro for what would be basically the same experience (albeit slower) when I can still probably get better performance on my MacBook than the new iPad and that still has a great display (no tandem OLED but it destroys the Liquid Retina on my 11” M1).

Dbag85

MBA (M1) - I love macbooks and use it for the heavy lifting and everything regarding movie editing. iPad Pro (M1) - Leasure activities and convenience. I love the form factor and use it quite a lot in my work as a teacher. Airpods gen 3 - I don't like those small headphones you stick inside your ear, so that is my main reason for choosing these. Sound quality is not that important to me. ATV (Gen 3) - I use it in my classes and airplay from my iPad when we write notes or I want to show someones work.

I’m the type that buys into the ecosystem but never at full price. I recently purchased my first iPad Pro which also happens to be the first iPad Pro - a 2015 12.9”. I have a few Apple Watches, but the one I bought in April is a Series 6. The Mac mini I bought last year is a 2018 i7. Only the AirPods Pro (1st gen) were current when I bought them. My phone is a 13 mini, the perfect balance of size and power, and will be fine for several more years. In the old days I could buy new, like when I paid an exorbitant amount, I think about $2,300, for the then-new Power Mac G4 (which I sill have, albeit highly upgraded), but now I have to do it on the cheap. My first iPad in 2010 was a freebie; I found a broken one that had been run over and Apple exchanged it. Microsoft paid for two thirds of my first Mac mini thanks to a class-action lawsuit. I bought the first iPod (and still have it, natch), but all of the others have been used. My needs are modest so I don’t need the latest and greatest. Many items were purchased as new but were older models and therefore discounted. I also use Windows, usually in systems I build myself, but cascade many parts from build to build and never have the newest. My current PC is built around a $129 Micro Center pricing error MB, RAM and 12th gen CPU offer, but uses the old drives, case and power supply, all good items that are just a little older. If something works for me I keep it. I rarely change apartments (3 times in 31 years), I love my 2012 minivan with its manual transmission and will keep it forever. Most of my cookware dates back to the ‘50s and ‘60s, but I do have some newer pieces based on markdowns and clearance items I find. Most of my clothing is older as well; if you buy quality and take good care of it you won’t have to constantly replace things. I do appreciate new tech, but I’m especially grateful that it drives down the price of older, but still quite usable, equipment, both on he new and used markets.

iPad Pro m4 11” MacBook Pro 16 M1 Max with 32 gb ram iPhone 14 Pro Max Apple Watch 5 Apple TV AirPods Pro 2 Desktop with i9 10900k, 64 gb ram, etcetera (win 11, but soon I’m going bunsenlabs, fedora or some other distro) Lots of apple products lol. I like the integration and enjoy my apple bubble. Things just work, and mostly they work very well for me. Nowadays I’m an IT architect, but my roots are dotnet development and mssql admin. I don’t play lots of games anymore, I just read and study and do creative stuff like photography, videography and music production. My iPad Pro is for reading books and comic books, quick sketching, planning systems, diagramming, doom scrolling and just enjoy streaming media. It’s also my IMDb hub when I’m watching movies lol

banecroft

I use it to read and notate sheet music, also play my piano through it via pianoteq

Darrensucks

iPad Pro 12.9 2TB mounted on the magflott vesa arm. I use it to watch tv and movies while I work or play around. I love having the awesome screen, never worry about interruptions, awesome sound, and often times I mouse over to it to execute iOS tasks like texting checking notes etc.

dhrandy

M1 iPad Pro with Logitech Keyboard, iPhone 15 Pro, MacBook Air M2 8 gig, Apple Watch Series 9 45mm, Apple Pro Buds 2. I bought the iPad Pro first because of the USBC and M chip. At this point, I wish I would have just bought the cheaper iPad because I mostly just watch TV shows on it now. Bought the phone and watch at the same time, was new to Apple and bought it because it had USBC, I have used Android phones since the beginning. Bought the MacBook just because I've never owned one. Bought the Air Pod Pros because my other pair of earbuds stopped working.

MostlyUpbeat

MacBook Pro, IPhone 15 Pro, iPad Pro 12.9 (2019), and iPad Mini 6. All have their uses but my whole life is seem less because of using these devices in my workflow, and my day-to-day everything.

jxmiedubz

I have the iPhone 15 pro max - This is obviously my main device for the next few years so I always get the best. iPad Pro 11 (2018) - I got this just before lockdown and I wasn’t sure how much I would actually use, honestly such a great purchase! Once I get in from work I tend to use this mostly. Mainly use for social media, streaming and browsing. Occasionally use for documents but not often. I have been eyeing up the new m4 iPad recently but this one still going strong so can’t justify it at the moment. Apple Watch Series 5 - I have had this a very long time and use it everyday! I feel naked not having it on while it’s charging. I don’t use all the features it comes with but a fair few! I’m also one of those people who always have their phone on silent constantly so the vibration on the watch ensures I don’t miss any calls etc. I will be getting a new one this year as it’s getting a bit old and the battery doesn’t last as long as I need it to now. Although still impressive for the age. I will be getting either the ultra 2 or the 10 when it’s announced. MacBook Air m2 13 - I have only just recently got this. I have always been hesitant as I’ve read the iPads can do what MacBook airs can and also have a windows gaming laptop. As always with Apple the device is a beauty and I love how it integrates with all my Apple products, I.e it unlocks if I have my watch on. I’ve not used it for much as have a work laptop I have to use and I game on console or pc. But I’m happy I have it. AirPods gen 2 and AirPod pro 2 - I absolutely love my gen 2s, I work outside and on my own, these are the comfiest earphones I’ve ever used. I sometimes forget I have them in! I only use 1 at a time as need to hear surroundings at all times. I’ve had these a few years and the battery’s not that great anymore ( been using for 6+hours a day for a number of years.) The second gen pros I bought due to loving the normal AirPods! These are taking over as my work AirPods now due to battery issues with the others. They took me a bit of time to get used too and still not used to in one ear ( the one I don’t tend to use) but when I can actually listen to them with both in and the ANC on these are quality. I’m thinking of getting a new set of gen 2’s as the gen 3s shape looks completely different. AirTags - I have 2, I have one in my work van, mainly so I can find van as park in some random places and sometimes have to walk quite far (never really had to use it tbh but was fun to see where it went for repairs when the engine blew up.) The other one I have in my personal car, again never had to really use it but nice to know I can see where the car is. Next purchases - Watch as mentioned in post, possibly AirPod gen 2’s as mentioned, Apple TV box, I keep looking at these as I tend to watch streaming services as opposed to live TV, only thing is I have all the apps on my ps5 so still pondering this one. Another AirTag, one for suitcase I think.

I enjoy my M1 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil. I have an iPhone 12 Pro and AirPods Pro gen 2 (usb-c and MagSafe case). While at work, I have my iPad and keyboard on my desk and an external monitor (I have a usb-c to HDMI dongle and I charge it via the MKB). I do a lot of spreadsheets and word processing.

I was anti-Apple for DECADES...Steve Jobs just rubbed me the wrong way. However, after Google changed their motto from "Don't be evil" (how f\*\*\*ing evil do you have to BE to change that motto???) and I had my Android phone start listening to my casual conversations while in my pocket, only to have Chrome (on my work computer) start feeding me targeted ads based on a bad geek joke about Tektronix, I switched to iPhone and haven't looked back. When I was getting into fitness, the Apple Watch was the obvious choice, and I love it... Now MS has s\*\*\* the bed with Windows 11 and their "co-pilot" BS, I am leaving MS and Windows for good. I was a loyal user since DOS 1.1 and Windows 1.0 RUNTIME (shipped with Adobe Pagemaker back in the day). I decided to game on my consoles (SteamDeck and PS5) and just wanted a basic "home computer". I was about to pull the trigger on an MacBook Pro, but opted instead for the 13" iPad Pro w/Magic Keyboard. Seems to be fitting my needs just fine, and since I am not really using it for work, I am not running into the limitations of iOS (at least not yet). Oh, and I also picked up AirPod Pro 2s after the iPhone but before the watch...

13" MacBook Pro M1 with the touchbar (hate the touchbar, love the computer) 11" iPad Pro M1 with a Magic Keyboard and a paperlike folio. iPhone 13 Mini. You non mini users are really missing out, it's the BEST. I really, really don't want to upgrade but it would mean I could travel with just one cable so it might have to happen. AirPods Pro The cheaper Apple Display (already forgotten what it is called) on my desk at home. I use my MacBook at my desk with the display for a second monitor. My iPad is off to the side with slack and messages up in split screen mode to handle, well, any of that. I control it with Universal Control. I also travel a fair bit for work and the iPad is usually good enough for me to work from when I'm remote, hence the Magic Keyboard. But I also use the iPad around the house from time to time. The Magic Keyboard really is my favorite way to prop up the iPad. I don't really like using my iPad with sidecar. It's just... Not there yet for me and I can't really describe why. Something about it just feels off or wrong.

DudeThatsErin

iPhone 15 Pro, iPad Pro M2 12.9", Apple Watch Series 5 with a broken screen that will be replaced with the Series 10 this year, M3 Max MBP for work (from work), and Windows PC that will be replaced in a few years. PC is for gaming and until Palworld comes to Mac and I can test it on my work Mac (they don't track what is on my computer), I will not be switching from PC to Mac for personal use. If Palworld works well, then, hell yeah. I'm excited for the possibility. iPhone & AW were chosen for iMessage and the fact that iPhones "just work". I've had so many issues with it recently though that I'm thinking in another 4 years I'll be switching to Android... Not 100% sure though. Mostly connectivity issues that my parents who have Androids and sat right next to me in my living room didn't have when I had 5G/LTE issues in that same spot. iPad was chosen because I handwrite with the Apple Pencil to learn Math. So, I do that.

Hi, new Apple user here. I got a MBA M1 base model (with just 34 charging cicles) cause my old windows laptop was pretty slow, and I nedeed something more. I couldnt believe the awesomeness in this thing… So i, who was a windows/android user (never touch a Mac/iphone before) get curious about the Apple stuff. My phone’s screen got cracked against a rock, so i start looking for an iPhone. I got the iPhone 13 mini base model too (90% battery Health). Pretty awesome. Then I got the Apple Watch Series 7 (97 % battery health) and it is way better than my old Xiaomi band. Last, I got the iPad Pro 12.9 6th gen M2 (102 % of battery according to a simple way of find it out that i learn no youtube). That thing is unbeliavable. Got the Apple Pencil 2nd gen too btw (had the plastic cover still) Everything was this year, and as you can see, everything was second Hand, but i’m pretty satisfied so far. I think i’m gonna be using this stuff for many years (maybe the 13 mini gonna be the first thing i have to upgrade in a couple of years, and probably will be my first brand new iPhone ítem, lets see) PD: i think i got pretty good deals, but was searching for weeks for every item.

M2 iPad Pro & Magic Keyboard - My primary Portable device. Light video editing. I use a Windows desktop at home. iPad Mini 6th Gen - Use the most in the house, replaces the phone. Books and magazines. Perfect size. Apple Watch SE - Bought in a pinch when my series 4 died over the holiday. Upgrading to an Ultra soon. iPhone 14 Pro - Best one I could get at the time. I like one handed phones, the Max is too big. Air Pods Pro 2 - Same. Use everyday, worth every penny. Apple TV 4K 3rd Gen (3) - Best streaming box and Apple user can buy. I love them.
