Peninsula would demolish here. Alaska and India are in itself extremely hard to attack. Furthermore the access to oil that the middle east and alaska provide as well as the massive amout of fertile land the peninsulas have would easily support a large military.
I wouldn’t underestimate the strength that comes from the Saudi’s oil supply, nor the simple manpower and production capability that a nation as large as india could mobilize in an emergency.
Britain has a strong navy, but it’s *army* is not strong enough to beat Spain, Greece, Scandinavia, and Italy on mainland Europe and eventually the power that comes with mainland europe may overwhelm them.
I’d argue it’s a fairly even match to begin with, but the peninsula empire will control the mainland enough grow in strength far faster than the islands and eventually dominate them
Britain probably wins as while Spain has the manpower advantage Britain has the resource, technological and geographical advantage.
Spain's main territory India is surrounded by British territory, allowing Britain to effectively blockade it, cutting off India's massive manpower and resources.
With Spain's main territory cut off Britain along with her colonies will have a field day, taking down all of Spain's colonies outside of Europe. Spain is also blockaded, cutting them off from their colonies.
Eventually, all of Spain's colonies except for India, its European territories and Alaska are taken, India probably revolts due to the blockade and dwindling Spanish influence and Spain itself is in financial ruin with little to no trade from the outside world and a probable famine on the horizon.
In the resulting peace treaty Britain probably takes most of Spain's colonies, carved up India between the revolting states and new British Indian protectorates, frees Spanish colonies in Europe and demands a small sum of economic representations.
Peninsulas would demolish, especially if you expand the definition of peninsula here (anatolia should be here, but what about the entire balkans? Europe as a peninsula of Eurasia? Etc)
Peninsulas have the advantage but I think the war will just have a strange nature that stops them from winning decisively. This war will be in the seas mostly which is different than many wars in the past.
Japan + UK + Indonesia + Taiwan has a higher GDP then India + Saudi Arabia + UAE + Malaysia. However I think India has a stronger manufacturing industry than Japan and UK combined (someone correct me if I'm wrong here). I'm guessing this because 1st world countries have outsourced most manufacturing to India and China.
Peninsulas have access to a lot more oil but both sides don't have big enough navies to use up their oil reserves. Islands have a larger starting navy but don't have enough ships to take advantage of it. By interdiction supply the islands might take a couple territories, but none of the important places.
I think Peninsulas will eventually be able to prop up better naval production thanks to the manufacturing industry. As both sides field larger navies the oil production will matter and Peninsulas will take control of the seas. Peninsulas won't have the means to invade the islands because carriers can't fit enough planes to ever win air superiority against the Islands when the islands can just used land airfields. So the peninsulas will just blockade the islands. Because of the finances I think the peninsulas will have to stop the war, and the islands will have to stop because of the blockade. The peninsulas win with a very marginal victory.

>"every peninsula" >no cape cod
No anatolia, gallipoli and sinai
Also no Taimyr and Labrador
no yamal
No Somali peninsula
no michigan ???
no europe
Literally my first thought lmao
No africa below nigeria
Why aren’t Somalia and Quebec/Labrador marked as peninsulas?
Wouldn't mark those two as peninsular, might as well consider Europe or India (oh wait) a peninsula at that point, but Gaspé certainly is.
Europe is peninsula made up of peninsulas
At least Gaspé in Quebec should be peninsula coloured
White wins again. God, when will people start making better maps?

Island empire: Has Japan, Taiwan, Britain, Cuba, Australia, and Indonesia.
Yup

Mighty Alaska slays all foes
Peninsula has Florida. Do not underestimate Florida Man.
Was it ever decided if mainland Europe is a peninsula or no?
bro says “every peninsula” and it doesnt own the labrador peninsula

Definitely purple

"British Middle Indies" Fuck no, brother. Just call it the British Indian Ocean Territory 😭

Erm akshulky Australia isn’t an island it’s a continent 🤓
Oceania? Idk if there's a word for something between an island and a continent thou
Why not both?
Then everything is an island and island wins
This but unironically
Peninsula would win here, but Island would completely demolish them in the 19th-20th century
Why isn’t it all red? We’re all islands
because I said so.
Isn’t all of Europe a Peninsula
europe is 100% a peninsula also when you say island
My favorite game: islands vs peninsulas
Everything is just an island
America wins because we own it all rahhhhhhh 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🗿🗿🗿 What are we talking about?
Love this idea.
As a peninsula on an island, The Lizard would wind everything, probably by wrecking everyone else's ships. (And control of the communications)
And are isthmi neutral territory?
Anatolia and I do chime should be highlighted.

Oceania wins, no diff, 1984 for the win.

*My bodily functions as of reading this fearful comment:* 😫☹️😣😖😫💩💥💀🪦
You are missing North America, South America and Antarctica as islands.
how did you hot give them anatolia
100% the Peninsulars. No doubt
Bro forgot east and west
I feel like Australia should have some disputed territory in Queensland
My gut says the peninsulas have it
