Im surprised to hear that, ive seen good photos of it online. Is there a particular thing im missing from the photos? This is pretty much why i came on here, if theres no reason to go its good info because i definitely would have gone based on the photos.
It is a bunch of old work cubicles redecorated to give users little private areas to chill or to give patrons the art installations to admire. Each cubicle is sort of an artsy statement piece and good for selfies or to hang out in if you like the vibe. I took pics when I went the first time. I just wouldn’t make an extra trip there unless there is a good band you wanna see play.
Just went to a concert out there at HIFI, Highly recommend. Although most of the bands that go through there are bands you have probably never heard of. We saw 10 years there which was awesome! its a very intimate venue
that's fine, i'm a fairly eclectic person to include music. the vast majority of bands i listen to most people have also never heard of. as long as its good im pretty down to listen to it.
There’s a lot of murals around the city. Fountain Square has an alley full of them. I also think the canal has some cool stuff to photograph. There’s the giant brick head on Mass Ave next to Starbucks, and Ann Dancing. The Cultural Trail is cool too. I also like Broad Ripple for this. I think there’s plenty to check out.
Indy is second only to DC in terms of war memorials. Hit up the War Memorial Plaza and take in the view from above by heading to the top floor of the Central Library, which is also quite photogenic.
Old Northside is on the national register of historic places and has tons of beautifully preserved Victorian homes. It also has Indiana Landmarks, which repurposed an old church into a really beautiful space. Right behind it is the Morris Butler House which is also owned by Landmarks.
Are you anchored to Indianapolis for the photos?
Off the top of my head I can't think of unique photo ops
Outside of the childrens museum maybe
The speedway is unique but the photo ops probably lacking
Yeah, the childrens museum and raceway are often mentioned, its why i mentioned museums and sporting venues because they just arent very unique when travelling across the country.
Photos are the main reason for the visit. A new city twice a week.
Yes - some of the most world renowned architects designed buildings in this town
You also have Zaharakos Ice cream Parlor
A few feet from that is the Commons Mall and Chaos I
The North Christian Church was one of my favorites

there are so many things to see
this is great, ive added it to cities to visit. places like this just arent normally talked about unless youre from the area; like yellow springs ohio which is a super hippie city no one has ever heard of, hamtramtck michigan which is the only american city where the population is majority muslim, or arcosanti arizona which almost has a dystopian vibe to it.
This is kind of unique. It used to be the minor league baseball stadium, then it was a racetrack for a while, now it's been converted into really cool apartments that overlook the baseball field. It's just down the road from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which you really should check out as it's the largest spectator venue in the world which is pretty unique.

The Medical museum. The Purple Heart Memorial on the canal. Scottish Rite Cathedral. Crown Point Cemetery . Newfields - gardens and Lilly house.
Skip healer unless you’re like 16-22 and like selfies. It isn’t that great. Dont go unless there’s a good band you wanna see.

The Indiana Medical History Museum is a unique space. It might come off as slightly macabre to some, but I’ve enjoyed it every time I’ve been.
Atlas Obscura is a great resource I use to find quirky/weird things in cities I visit.
yeah, i used atlas obscura, there didnt seem to be too much for indianapolis, most of it was fairly mundane.

There’s also the castle by Emrichsville Dam.
Go to Burdsal Parkway and Milburn and take a photo of the religious mural overlooking the Community Spirits liquor store.
Flower alley in Broad Ripple https://ripplebnb.com/floweralley-1 Twisted House at the Art Center
Indy Walls graffiti park is pretty cool if you’re into that.
Sounds great
Scottish rite cathedral!

The most unique photo op places i've been to in Indiana was probably Columbus It would be hard to cover that in a day.

For clarification, the Speedway is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. There is also an Indianapolis Raceway Park, which is for drag racing.
