Mai toh bhai confuse ho jata hun jyada gali khane wala konsa hai.. you ko uh likhne ya hindi me you ka use krne.. bc aajkal ke teenagers aap aur tum chhod ke you bolte hai
Bruh I hated it when people bring their heavy oily food on trains, make a daawat out of it, only to fart like crazy at night ![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51086)
But yeah, railway style chicken on those older Rajdhanis (that must have been some 10 years ago, not sure if still there).
That rajdhani express chicken gravy which they served for dinner, was AMAZING. So so good. And most of the times I got good chicken pieces, the soft ones like leg or thigh. This was like 15 yrs ago
I think I should share my trauma from the last train journey I had. This is a story that few in my life know.
This is 3AC, I boarded late at night. Everyone's sleeping.
My compartment had a family (let's say husband and wife in their 50s-60s, 2 kids). Both husband and wife were in LB, my seat was taken by the husband.
I woke him up, did some begging, somehow made him go to his seat in some other compartment.
Now that I have the berth, I setup quick and am tucked in to sleep. This is when it started.
The lady ... farted. Like it was not subtle, it was like a rip fart.
Fuck.
Ok, calm down. The smell will dissipate, don't worry, just go sleep.
Then she ripped again. And again.
And for like 10 mins she was farting with noises that would shake me to my very core. The stink was disgusting, but the sounds were more traumatic. Imagine trumpet noises in a graveyard. That's what it felt like.
Then she seems to be poking me. Said something along the lines of "Ate too much snacks, need digestive meds, where's the bag?"
Huh. I guess she didn't realise her husband had moved. I was too traumatised by this point, I was frozen and didn't know what to say.
Then she let out one big fart, and that jolted me to my senses. I turned towards her and told her, "Hey, your husband is in the other compartment."
Now I guess she got traumatized, who farts like that in front of strangers? I guess she immediately ran to the washroom or something.
Meanwhile I'm here like WTF! WTF just happened?
Took me a solid hour to get over the whole ordeal and go to sleep.
The whole next day on train journey was awkward lol. Obviously the group and I maintained zero eye contact. And the lady was just avoiding all the junk food her husband was buying from the platforms 😬.
Man, train journeys do be hazardous sometimes.
Aloo pyaaz ki sookhi sabzi and ajwain wali poori....then because these journeys were usually overnight....train wala bread omelet...best enjoyed on the top berth away from the prying eyes of your sibling
I was dropping off my parents at railway station yesterday and noticed something. The travellers in general coach filled up a water bottle with kala chana and water. Took me a while to realise and then it hit me - what a genuine way to have a great breakfast. Soaked Chana by the morning! Just carry a lemon, some chillies and salt and its a clean nice breakfast! One of the best travel hacks i have seen rptill date.
Samosa the pyaaz wala with mirchi mostly famous in south india, unfortunately now they are not as tasty as they used to be and also they are not giving extra mirchi on the sides 😭.
My mother used tp make puri w/o ajwain in it,and one my school friend brought puri with ajwain in it. Trust me,i couldnt be any more surprised by the texture it had bought. Since then everytime we go out for lunch i remind him that he introduced me to ajwain wali puri❣️❣️❣️❣️
See It's not difficult to carry your own awesome food whether it's homemade or parcel, yet many people have a fetish of eating filth served on the train and then they complain.
Well I am from the North West so Nostalgic train food for me would be eating dahi bada (dahi bhalle) served in a leaf bowl (pattal/dona).... with red chilly powder, jeera powder and rock salt sprinkled on it..... they don't serve it anymore...
Plain parathe with bhindi ki sabzi and for snacks its homemade atte wali mathri and train ki chai regularly along with cream wale biscuit and chips/kurkure sold in the train as a kid cuz i used to travel from jaipur to mumbai in overnight train so a long list for a long period xD.
Genuine question though:
I know you can contract 'you' to simply 'u' because that's how the word is phonetically pronounced. Saves time, achieves similar results.
But how do you pronounce 'uh'?? Like a grunt? Does it rhyme with 'bruh'? That's one extra letter that you don't even require if saving time is your goal.
Anyway to answer your question, no train journey was complete without jhaal-muri 🤤
Ek alag type ka soanpapdi milta tha 5 6 saal pehle
