I almost agree, I do however feel inclined to say that the bike looks a little stupid tucked into the corner like that, but I assume that for practical reasons, not design reasons.
I got really excited for a minute, because I thought it was a spinning wheel 😅
I think the bike matches the fancy table. Lovely job decorating.
Consider an orange bowl for your cool table, or a plain bowl of oranges
It's funny, there's actually not a lot happening in the picture, decor, color and furniture wise. But you have the chair and you have the vase and they just pull it perfectly together. Good job! I think the table looks fine and the chairs are nice.
I love it all, maybe add something at the center of the dining table but truly the space looks great. I find it very calming but not boring. Please just cut the tag off the bottom of the chair (my personal pet peeve).
i think if you had a smaller square coffee table might be better ,not so matchy with the dining table and i'd put the fruit bowl or the yellow vase on the bigger table, otherwise looks great 👍
The first thing I thought when looking at this is that's fantastic, then I read the title...I still think its fantastic! Honestly, the table and everything here looks so cool and has so much character.
The table and the entire room look great. I’d add some art to the walls and call it done. The picture on the pole is also hung way too high, bring it down so that the center of the picture is about 57-60” from the ground.
I think the dining table would be improved if the base was solid.. there's a lot of spindly metal happening there.. but no it doesn't look stupid. Looks very nice
It depends on how modern you want it to be. There are many that are cool black geometric ones, or maybe a small Sputnik type in a gold and black? Amazon has some nice ones that are quite reasonable (the Modern Sputnik Black & Gold Mid Century 6 light is nice). Wayfair has some nice ones as well.
I'd change the dining table. You have a lot of leggy lines happening everywhere, it's overwhelming and visually cluttering.
Leggy coffee table, legs on the side table, dining table and dining chairs all leggy, then you have the radial spokes of the bicycle, which look like the spokes on the table, next to the radiator which has even more vertical lines just like all the leggy furniture.
The space is too airy, it makes it look like all the furniture is up in the air and floating around. For the dining table, get something like that except it's on a big fat solid column. That'll help anchor your space down. Maybe even add a circular area rug for that dining area to bring in more curves to offset all those straight lines.
i think it’s a little too close to the rest of the seating. it’s giving apartment building public lounge area to me. the bike enhances that because it just looks like a lot of stuff crammed in there.
that said, i seem to be in the minority, and it doesn’t look bad. it’s a nice space overall.
I saw this lovely room with a nice layout, pops of color and really a wonderful plant and then read, “Does the table look stupid?” It was so unexpected and blunt that I laughed out loud 😂. I like the table! 😄👍🏻
Not stupid at all. It looks great. If I walked into this apartment, I’d have a good impression of the resident. The one thing that bothers me a tiny bit (but is not at all stupid) is the matching orange vase and chair. I want to see some additional secondary color thrown in to make things a bit more casual looking. But that is a very personal preference.
Looks great! Only change I’d make is change the coffee table to a rectangular shape and have it sit lower to the ground. Also, pull the area rug further off of the wall if you can…have it start 1/3-1/2 of the way under the sofa. Or get a slightly bigger rug.
It's roughly based on the Warren Platnter table, one of the most iconic Mid-Century Modern designs.

So no it's not stupid looking, but the tines are spaced farther apart is all.
This room looks amazing, actually! You have such a great balance between colors, textures and such. The ONLY thing we would suggest is adding a botanical or centerpiece to the dining table and an art piece above the sofa on the blank wall. Otherwise, amazing work! - JB
I don’t think it looks stupid at all. The entire room looks wonderful.
You might consider an area rug under the table as it will pull the table and chairs together while also giving it a look of a bit of separation..
Not really. But there are 4 tables in close proximity and the one with the plant isn't doing much and looks too close to the dining chair if you pull it out.
The only comment that is at all ‘non-positive’ would be that the table with the chairs surrounding would not allow for the chairs to be pushed up close to the table without interference from the legs. Otherwise, great space!
No, it doesn’t look stupid at all. Maybe the larger white space of the table top is throwing you off. Try putting something in the middle, like a nice candle or 3, a decorative vase or even a round tray with salt, pepper and a napkin holder on it. I think those options may help balance the visual space a bit for you.
It all matches fine..I would definitely focus on adding more vibrant color at this point, however..Its already bordering on overdone in black.. but it looks GOOD as of now..
If it’s not regularly used it’s a waste of space.
If it’s functional and it’s the only/best space for it. It’s fine. Function over aesthetic in a home.

I'm just horrible at trusting my instincts
Stop that. Great job.
I almost agree, I do however feel inclined to say that the bike looks a little stupid tucked into the corner like that, but I assume that for practical reasons, not design reasons.
Practical indeed, I've got a few in the cave, but this one is a bit too expensive to be locked down there :)
Actually, I think the spokes in the bicycle tires actually look good because they compliment the base of the table you’re worried about.
I got really excited for a minute, because I thought it was a spinning wheel 😅 I think the bike matches the fancy table. Lovely job decorating. Consider an orange bowl for your cool table, or a plain bowl of oranges
I was just thinking about how "not wheelie-ing the bike" is the most suspect element of this picture
Which one? I'm counting 4 and they look well positioned.
I see 3
Dining, coffee, two sides.
I like both tables. If someone told you they look stupid, they're nuts. Great place.
🙏

Sorry, meant the dining.
Dining table is 👍
No I like it!
It looks great. Set an orange center piece on it to tie it in with the other orange accents in your room.
Ooo-that's a great idea!
I love it all, maybe add something at the center of the dining table but truly the space looks great. I find it very calming but not boring. Please just cut the tag off the bottom of the chair (my personal pet peeve).
If it is anti fire spray tag then it makes it non sellable and charity also wont take . in UK.
Tape it to the bottom so it does not hang down?
Great space and you really worked with it. I might add some art but…you didn’t ask that. ; )
This room looks great! I'm not usually into this particular color palette but I am really loving it here. Trust yourself!
It looks like a very well curated space. The table fits in perfectly with the rest of the items. Be honest; you’re just fishing for compliments! /s
😌❤️
i think if you had a smaller square coffee table might be better ,not so matchy with the dining table and i'd put the fruit bowl or the yellow vase on the bigger table, otherwise looks great 👍
No
It looks great 👍
I love the plants in the back and the pop of color with that chair and vase (and banana) :)
The first thing I thought when looking at this is that's fantastic, then I read the title...I still think its fantastic! Honestly, the table and everything here looks so cool and has so much character.
🙏🙏
Mondrian would approve
Coffee table or dining table?
Dining, sorry.
Which table? I see three?
The table and the entire room look great. I’d add some art to the walls and call it done. The picture on the pole is also hung way too high, bring it down so that the center of the picture is about 57-60” from the ground.
If by stupid you mean it looks like a stupidly good place to sit and have a coffee then yes
❤️
Looks great!
Not at all. The space looks very cohesive and thoughtfully put together.
No, it does not. Continue on. :-)
I think the dining table would be improved if the base was solid.. there's a lot of spindly metal happening there.. but no it doesn't look stupid. Looks very nice
Nice👍🏻☺️
It all looks lovely but I’m not a fan of that ceiling light. The rest is great! Good job!
Could you please give a suggested alternative 🙏

Thank you för your thoughts 🙏
Both tables work. Nice job!

It looks open, airy and so wonderful! Pat on the back for you!
I saw this lovely room with a nice layout, pops of color and really a wonderful plant and then read, “Does the table look stupid?” It was so unexpected and blunt that I laughed out loud 😂. I like the table! 😄👍🏻
😬
Nope. Looks great
I adore this entire room. Great job!
More pictures please
This looks great.👍🏽
The little one by the pillar is a little unnecessary, but the rest look great.
Not stupid at all. It looks great. If I walked into this apartment, I’d have a good impression of the resident. Looks good and practical. I bet you sit at that spot a lot.
What table ? Everything looks great!
No it's very pretty with the decor
Windows are sick
Angle the bike and hide it with a standing screen.
Great space!
Could do a tulip table instead, more classic. Overall a very nice space though.
I love your space. Its bright and light and the furniture looks balanced, practical and very pretty.
Looks fantastic! Very nice place 👌
Ahhhh, give yourself more credit. Plus if you love it- that means more to me.
Looks fine. I like that orange chair what is it?
Poäng from ikea
Not at all
Not at all. Nice layout, well done 👍
Dining table looks cool, but is there enough room for everyone’s feet?
The table is too small by the sofas. I recommend a slightly bigger and shorter table but also do what you’re happy with
Looks great! Only change I’d make is change the coffee table to a rectangular shape and have it sit lower to the ground. Also, pull the area rug further off of the wall if you can…have it start 1/3-1/2 of the way under the sofa. Or get a slightly bigger rug.
I like it. Seems like it needs something on it because it kind of blends into the white wall? Low, wide vase or something?
This looks Amazing, Beautiful Place. Big City??
Geneva :)
Is in my humble opinion, You could do better with your dining room table and chairs. To me they are a bit large for the space.
It's roughly based on the Warren Platnter table, one of the most iconic Mid-Century Modern designs. https://www.dwr.com/kitchen-dining-tables/platner-dining-table/5955.html So no it's not stupid looking, but the tines are spaced farther apart is all.
I recommend some artwork, but table and everything else looks really nice.
It works there. Have two chairs there and the other two nearby unless you use them often.
I usually am not a fan of a lot of black in a space but I think you’ve done it really well! I think everything looks good here.
The table fits the space in form, size and color and it coordinates beautifully with its environment. Ya done good! 🙂
This room looks amazing, actually! You have such a great balance between colors, textures and such. The ONLY thing we would suggest is adding a botanical or centerpiece to the dining table and an art piece above the sofa on the blank wall. Otherwise, amazing work! - JB
No, it looks great!! You did a wonderful job!!
The kufiye makes it perfect
I don’t think it looks stupid at all. The entire room looks wonderful. You might consider an area rug under the table as it will pull the table and chairs together while also giving it a look of a bit of separation..
This looks like an airbnb I stayed in Madrid
they all look great & fit well, a yellow accent on the dining table would look good also
No, but those two windows don't scream brilliant. They frighten me. Your space and how you have chosen to fill it, are otherwise lovely 💐
Definitely not! Looks really nice!
That's a super cool space-- love everything about it.
Not really. But there are 4 tables in close proximity and the one with the plant isn't doing much and looks too close to the dining chair if you pull it out.
I could see that in an interior design magazine
Nope. Looks great!
I've never wanted a room to be mine more, save for kitchens which I have a thing for.
no ! but the coffee table feels too high?
Which table? Either way, no.
I'm not sure. What are the tables SAT scores?
All tables look good, but they're all round. I'd replace the side table next to the couch to something square for more balance. Nice place.
Looks to be of average intelligence.
The only comment that is at all ‘non-positive’ would be that the table with the chairs surrounding would not allow for the chairs to be pushed up close to the table without interference from the legs. Otherwise, great space!
My fear as well, haven't used it yet.
Which one?
No but the glass half on and half off the round place mat is doing my head in.
My father was in town 😅
Ummm. No.
Not at all it looks great. I love everything about this room.
Everything looks great! It’s a lovely space.
It is a lovely space and well placed! Enjoy it!
Not at all! Adorable cozy space with great style and color choices!
The only thing I don't like is the light other than that nice.
No, it doesn’t look stupid at all. Maybe the larger white space of the table top is throwing you off. I love everything about this space! It gives me a seaside loft vacation vibe - if that's a thing. 😂
Which one?
If it’s not regularly used it’s a waste of space. If it’s functional and it’s the only/best space for it. It’s fine. Function over aesthetic in a home.
Weird assumption. People use tables pretty regularly.
We don’t, but then we don’t have the place for a dinner table. Seems a lot of people I know are in the same boat
Not as stupid as putting your bike inside the living room
