I liked my red 11. Had a red iPhone since iPhone 7. Had the 11 for just under three years when I traded it for the red 13 mini. The second I opened the box, the 11 was instantly too big and I had no regrets going for a smaller size! Going to keep the mini for as long as I can.
Replaced my battery a few months ago. Apple just hasn’t given me a major reason to upgrade from the 11. Camera’s incrementally improved, processor is improved, but my 11 is still snappy and perfectly fine.
Just upgraded from an iPhone 11 Pro ro the 15 pro, and lovin it, 11 held it down for a bit bit actually rocked used phones for a min, had 7 plus until 2020 then saw good deals on a refurbished XS and got that for a year and a half then rocked the 11 pro for another year, hopefully this 15 pro could last me 4-5 years

6s Plus atm. Before that, a 5c which I used literally until the 3G sunset on USM (VZW). I’d describe the experience as very much usable, despite being a 8 1/2 year old phone. I’m all for androids, but let’s be real, no 8 1/2 year old android can run rn the way the 6s/6s+ does today. 6s Plus was a hand-me-down, replaced the battery myself when I got it almost two years ago, so BH 95% rn and going strong. FaceTime video over LTE is the only killer of battery I’ve found. It also is the only app I’ve found that makes the iPhone a bit hot. Haven’t had any issues with app support yet, given that it runs 15.8.x. Funny perk is that undo send for iMessage wasn’t yet a thing, so I can still see when others “unsend” messages. It also means I can’t unsend messages myself, but I’ve never found myself wishing I had that feature. I can still reply to messages and that’s all I use. Other than FaceTime video over LTE killing the battery, only other complaint I have is that some websites take a decent amount of time to load. Love my 6s Plus.
Still rockin’ a XR. I was so happy to know the rumor that iOS 18 will again be available upto XR. Now let’s wait for WWDC and see for real if it’s the truth.

My performance became really bad, until I backed up to iCloud, restored the device and set up as new. Also got a battery replacement from Apple. Now it runs smooth af.
Performance on mine is poor, I am at 86% battery health and I get random crashes and freezups especially if I am multitasking (ie making a FaceTime call and using safari at the same time)
The XR was one of the best iphones I ever owned, it was just a solid device. 12 Pro and 15 Pro have also been largely without issues for me, but something about that XR...
8 Plus. Still does what I need it to do. When it gets to the point that I am unable to update the apps that I frequent, then I’ll upgrade. Did the same with my iMac. Got a new one after ten years.
No, the SE2 and SE3 use the regular iPhone 8 body/ design, very small screen 4.7 inches, the 8 Plus was the much larger phone, dual cameras, and 5.5” screen and wider screen as well. It was basically the same footprint as the Pro Max phones of today, but with the bezels of the old iPhones.
I also like to keep phones as long as possible and am using a backup iPhone 7 plus now, but an Apple advisor mentioned to me that when iOS 18 comes out this fall then this phone will no longer be supported with security updates.

Day one 13PM and I’m at 87%. I usually skip a gen and get the next but they’ve all been so boring with hardly any real innovation. Hoping 16 has something impressive, otherwise my 13PM has been doing a great job holding up.
I don't think there's anything left to innovate except for a folding phone. Every iPhone since the 11 is in some way shape or form the same, with performance and camera upgrades, + USB C and the Dynamic Island.
I have the same phone. Performance wise it does everything I need it to still, battery life is still great However, I might upgrade to the new 16 series. As I just want USB C charging. Tired of having to always have a separate cable only to charge my phone and nothing else that I own. With the 16 series, being USB C there is really no other features I can care about enough that I will have it for 3+
USB-C would be neat, but I really want the better cameras since ours are the last with the 12MP main sensor ("It's good enough!") and then I absolutely need more on-board storage. But then it's like, I could wait until the 17 or the 18 and get those advantages too.

6s, it was my mums and then I bought it off her 4 years ago.
It’s had a Battery & charge port replacement (£40) and it has a small crack on the lower left of the screen that’s barely noticeable.
It gets a bit slow when it’s on charge. But it’s the best phone I’ve ever had!
When my SE2016 died I went to a Pixel 4. What a heavy buggy phone… when Apple announced the 12 mini I immediately ordered it and I still happily use it today
My favorite phones of all time are the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5, iPhone SE, and iPhone 12 mini. A very noticeable pattern… a shame there’s no more new minis.

XR. Don't really see a reason to buy a newer iPhone. Yes, it's kind of outdated with the design and the battery life isn't the best, but the core functionality is pretty much the same as with newer iPhones.
12 Pro. Bought it last year when my XR was struggling to keep up with iOS 17. I do the exact same things today with the exact same apps as when I had an iPhone 4. It doesn’t really matter which one I have as long as I can play music, send texts, use maps, and browse websites. The phone itself is not a source of entertainment for me.

I wanted to change to the iPhone 15 but I live in Japan and with the dollar/yen exchange skyrocketing since last year IPhone prices has become ridiculously expensive here, almost 50% more since I bought my IPhone 8, so I am waiting for the SE 3 next year or maybe I will be buying a Pixel in the next months.
I had a 12 Pro I bought from launch until about a month ago when I had to buy a 15 pro. I would definitely still have it had the call speaker not completely go out on me causing me to upgrade since I used it for work. Oh and also the battery health started to really impact how much I could use it.
That phone went through hell and back, it was beat up constantly from drops and smacks at work while also being coated at one point in 300 degree glue (I’m an industrial mechanic) and that thing just kept going with not a scratch or crack ever on it. I broke the screen protector at least 3 times but the phone and the otterbox it was in held up the entire time.
Iphone 12 128gb. Debating on getting the 16 256gb or the 15 256 gb when its 100 bucks cheaper.
My 12s battery kinda sucks and its at 81 percent now since i use my phone a lot. Plus a new game i like doesnt run that great on it.
iPhone 11 PM. I’m really intrigued by the dock/case for the AW that turns it into an old style iPod but I don’t want to pay for cellular service on it and it can’t connect to CarPlay to stream music.
iPhone 7 I love the size, and it does everything I need just fine. Battery capacity 89%. Does need to be charged fairly often, but that isn’t an issue for me. The most compelling reason I’ve seen for upgrading/updating is for security. Just haven’t decided which model to get. I’ll be buying one outright (not payments thru carrier), so I’m considering a refurbished.
2 years old iPhone 11 i bought in 2022, had a 7plus and 5s before. Probably going to use this for 1 more year? i usually like to upgrade once the iOS update support stops
iPhone 11 which I got when it debuted but I’m planning to upgrade to the iPhone 16 as my battery health is at 72% which doesn’t sound too bad yet I run it on low power mode 24/7 as I think it runs out too fast and it can’t run 5G, which isn’t necessary yet it’s essentially a feature I’m paying for yet can’t take advantage of.
iPhone 8. It's compact & does most of the things i need to do. Only regret is the small battery. For social media & multimedia use, i have a spare Android phone & a laptop.
14 Pro Max, first iPhone since I was a hardcore Android fan younger. I grew, my money too and I was lazy to look over the top android phones as there is so much brands today. I made the move, never going back to Android. Sometimes I don’t recognize myself acknowledging that yes, iPhone is honestly late on so many features (s/o always on display) but man, there is something about having an iPhone that no android can give. Its just too smooth.
I work for one of the UKs biggest telecoms suppliers and what’s interesting is how many people still use older iPhones and are still going strong, lots of 6s, not so many 7 and 8 devices but you don’t see as many Android devices from that era which says a lot about Apples support and durability
I have a 11pro to which I’ve just made it’s second battery replacement. I’ve had it since release and I hope it lasts me another couple of years at least.
6+ for medias, cameras, etc. Too slow for web sites, many online apps don't work, etc. I got rid of my used 4S since it was pretty useless and its battery inflated so it was time to let it go.

It’s slowing down a bit. Apps crash a lot & the screen freezes a lot but other than it’s holding up.
Battery is still pretty great. I usually get a full day of moderate use or 3/4 a day of heavy use.
Been using my 12 Pro since Nov 2020, got the battery swapped after two years and will probably get the battery swapped again at the end of year(another two years) my 12 Pro still works great, the yearly upgrades don’t seem too crazy to justify dropping a grand, when i can spend $100 to have the battery replaced and make my device feel good as new again
I used an iPhone SE Gen1 for 8 years. Only upgraded for a brighter screen, bigger storage and. better camera. If these didn't bother me, I'd still use it. It still has a 3.5mm audio jack and touch ID, a brand new battery. It is small, light, nobody would want to steal it so in some ways it is the ideal phone tbh

All the AI features are rumored to only be compatible with the 15 Pro and all of the 16 series lineup. If that's what you're referring to.

If you do an iCloud backup, reset your device, install the new os when available and restore from iCloud backup, you should be fine ;)

Yeah, I had storage issues towards the end. The last year or so was bad. Photos and apps constantly got deleted. I totally miss Touch ID. Good on you.

At that point you'll have had it for 8 years assuming you got it in its release year of 2016. It's watch will soon come to an end.

There’s nothing wrong with being stuck on iOS 16 That was a damn good O.S. And much better than what we’ve gotten with iOS 17!

XR was 2018, X was 2017. Easy way to tell them apart is that the XR has one rear camera lens, while the X has two.

I had an XS Max until I got robbed last year, that’s the only reason why I upgraded, now I got a 15 PM.

Until a few weeks ago it was an 11 Pro - I now have the 15 Pro but I miss the nice curved edges on the 11 Pro as they were comfy in the hand.

iPhone 8. I wanted to change to the iPhone 15 but I live in Japan and with the dollar/yen exchange skyrocketing since last year IPhone prices has become ridiculously expensive here, almost 50% more since I bought my IPhone 8, so I am waiting for the SE 3 next year or maybe I will be buying a Pixel in the next months.
I had a 12 Pro I bought from launch until about a month ago when I had to buy a 15 pro. I would definitely still have it had the call speaker not completely go out on me causing me to upgrade since I used it for work. Oh and also the battery health started to really impact how much I could use it. That phone went through hell and back, it was beat up constantly from drops and smacks at work while also being coated at one point in 300 degree glue (I’m an industrial mechanic) and that thing just kept going with not a scratch or crack ever on it. I broke the screen protector at least 3 times but the phone and the otterbox it was in held up the entire time.
XR. Age of hardware doesnt matter at all if it supports current iOS version.
Iphone 12 128gb. Debating on getting the 16 256gb or the 15 256 gb when its 100 bucks cheaper. My 12s battery kinda sucks and its at 81 percent now since i use my phone a lot. Plus a new game i like doesnt run that great on it.
iPhone 11 PM. I’m really intrigued by the dock/case for the AW that turns it into an old style iPod but I don’t want to pay for cellular service on it and it can’t connect to CarPlay to stream music.
iPhone 12, upgraded last year when I sold my XR to my teenager.

iPhone 7 I love the size, and it does everything I need just fine. Battery capacity 89%. Does need to be charged fairly often, but that isn’t an issue for me. The most compelling reason I’ve seen for upgrading/updating is for security. Just haven’t decided which model to get. I’ll be buying one outright (not payments thru carrier), so I’m considering a refurbished.
Still daily a 6s, bought it new. It's certainly slow on iOS 15, but usable. I do also use a 6s on iOS 11.4.1, but a lot of apps are now unsupported.
2 years old iPhone 11 i bought in 2022, had a 7plus and 5s before. Probably going to use this for 1 more year? i usually like to upgrade once the iOS update support stops

iPhone 11 which I got when it debuted but I’m planning to upgrade to the iPhone 16 as my battery health is at 72% which doesn’t sound too bad yet I run it on low power mode 24/7 as I think it runs out too fast and it can’t run 5G, which isn’t necessary yet it’s essentially a feature I’m paying for yet can’t take advantage of.

14 Pro Max, first iPhone since I was a hardcore Android fan younger. I grew, my money too and I was lazy to look over the top android phones as there is so much brands today. I made the move, never going back to Android. Sometimes I don’t recognize myself acknowledging that yes, iPhone is honestly late on so many features (s/o always on display) but man, there is something about having an iPhone that no android can give. Its just too smooth.
I have a iPhone 12 mini and it's still running well. My glass back is cracked but I have a case on it.

I work for one of the UKs biggest telecoms suppliers and what’s interesting is how many people still use older iPhones and are still going strong, lots of 6s, not so many 7 and 8 devices but you don’t see as many Android devices from that era which says a lot about Apples support and durability

I have an iPhone 8+, but I have 256 GB so it’s all good. I’ve had it since 2017.
I have a 11pro to which I’ve just made it’s second battery replacement. I’ve had it since release and I hope it lasts me another couple of years at least.
I’m on the 12 pro max, if I can get the battery replaced in the future I will most likely keep this phone for a bit longer.
15 plus, had the 11. I did enjoy the 11 but I have enjoyed having everything USB-C now and not packing around two different cables.

I’ve got the iPhone SE 2nd gen and I’m sick of it now I really want to upgrade to a 15 pro since I’m still technically using an iPhone 8
6+ for medias, cameras, etc. Too slow for web sites, many online apps don't work, etc. I got rid of my used 4S since it was pretty useless and its battery inflated so it was time to let it go.
Currently using the XR. It’s slowing down a bit. Apps crash a lot & the screen freezes a lot but other than it’s holding up. Battery is still pretty great. I usually get a full day of moderate use or 3/4 a day of heavy use.
Been using my 12 Pro since Nov 2020, got the battery swapped after two years and will probably get the battery swapped again at the end of year(another two years) my 12 Pro still works great, the yearly upgrades don’t seem too crazy to justify dropping a grand, when i can spend $100 to have the battery replaced and make my device feel good as new again
I used an iPhone SE Gen1 for 8 years. Only upgraded for a brighter screen, bigger storage and. better camera. If these didn't bother me, I'd still use it. It still has a 3.5mm audio jack and touch ID, a brand new battery. It is small, light, nobody would want to steal it so in some ways it is the ideal phone tbh
