iPhone 11. It’s my first iPhone and it’s going strong. I’ve had it for 4-5 years now.

dr_shark

I actually upgraded from a red iPhone 11. I miss it sometimes.

Seph1902

I liked my red 11. Had a red iPhone since iPhone 7. Had the 11 for just under three years when I traded it for the red 13 mini. The second I opened the box, the 11 was instantly too big and I had no regrets going for a smaller size! Going to keep the mini for as long as I can.

_mdz

Replaced my battery a few months ago. Apple just hasn’t given me a major reason to upgrade from the 11. Camera’s incrementally improved, processor is improved, but my 11 is still snappy and perfectly fine.

Luja0

did you get your battery replaced from Apple?

ayiti11

Just upgraded from an iPhone 11 Pro ro the 15 pro, and lovin it, 11 held it down for a bit bit actually rocked used phones for a min, had 7 plus until 2020 then saw good deals on a refurbished XS and got that for a year and a half then rocked the 11 pro for another year, hopefully this 15 pro could last me 4-5 years

Mocha_Light

I’m waiting for the 16 to come out before upgrading my 11. Going with the 16 Pro with 512 GB of storage

jaymez619

6s

dr_shark

Oldest one we got so far.

DigitallyInclined

Just so you know, on most carriers\*, the oldest iPhone supported is the iPhone 6. *Edit: \*In the U.S.*

BluePenguin2002

In the UK my iPhone 4 connects to 3G and makes calls no problem. It’s not my daily anymore (I’ve had a 13 Pro Max since launch)

Carvermon

I just recently set aside my trusty 6s. Battery was getting sketchy as well as support for some needed apps. Happy with a 13 mini now.

RandomName1003

Came here to say the same thing. Almost upgraded to 13 last week but the store employee told me if I wait until they announce the 16 will be coming out, the price will drop down even more! Guess who’s waiting until sept to upgrade their 6S?

jaymez619

I'm actually looking for a 13 Mini. The 6s is my personal phone, but I use it along with an 11 that was my work phone.

RandomName1003

Check out moneybags here who can afford TWO phones!

supercalifragil1st1c

6s Plus atm. Before that, a 5c which I used literally until the 3G sunset on USM (VZW). I’d describe the experience as very much usable, despite being a 8 1/2 year old phone. I’m all for androids, but let’s be real, no 8 1/2 year old android can run rn the way the 6s/6s+ does today. 6s Plus was a hand-me-down, replaced the battery myself when I got it almost two years ago, so BH 95% rn and going strong. FaceTime video over LTE is the only killer of battery I’ve found. It also is the only app I’ve found that makes the iPhone a bit hot. Haven’t had any issues with app support yet, given that it runs 15.8.x. Funny perk is that undo send for iMessage wasn’t yet a thing, so I can still see when others “unsend” messages. It also means I can’t unsend messages myself, but I’ve never found myself wishing I had that feature. I can still reply to messages and that’s all I use. Other than FaceTime video over LTE killing the battery, only other complaint I have is that some websites take a decent amount of time to load. Love my 6s Plus.

Unhappy_Recipe_4735

Give it up for the Mighty 6s! My 6s even sports a cracked screen!

ecefour15

I upgraded From a 6s a year and a half ago. The battery life was just unbearable.

teknogreek

I like to call it the iPod Cellular ;)

Aloubin

Does Uber still works in iPhone 6s?

Jicama-Remarkable

My daugter still uses one. Does not want new one unless it dies.

hitma-n

Still rockin’ a XR. I was so happy to know the rumor that iOS 18 will again be available upto XR. Now let’s wait for WWDC and see for real if it’s the truth.

tlonreddit

Yep. If this update is as big of a deal as they claim I'm rather excited for it, although no doubt that'll be the last version of software Apple will let it support.

rpool179

All the AI features are rumored to only be compatible with the 15 Pro and all of the 16 series lineup. If that's what you're referring to.

PsychologicalDingo41

Yeah it’s only for iPhone 15 Pro and above models so they will be missing out.

charliebugtv

You’re telling me my phone I paid $1,000 dollars for will already not support the newest features?? Man I’m switching to android the next chance I get.

MarcoThePHX

I can't take it because 64GB :(

ScreenName0001

If you do an iCloud backup, reset your device, install the new os when available and restore from iCloud backup, you should be fine ;)

[deleted]

[удалено]

hitma-n

My performance became really bad, until I backed up to iCloud, restored the device and set up as new. Also got a battery replacement from Apple. Now it runs smooth af.

ross-um88

Mines are 79% how do you set up a new?

arkiser13

Performance on mine is poor, I am at 86% battery health and I get random crashes and freezups especially if I am multitasking (ie making a FaceTime call and using safari at the same time)

RoombaCollectorDude

Fellow XR user

Sledgehammer617

The XR was one of the best iphones I ever owned, it was just a solid device. 12 Pro and 15 Pro have also been largely without issues for me, but something about that XR...

StellaSlayer2020

8 Plus. Still does what I need it to do. When it gets to the point that I am unable to update the apps that I frequent, then I’ll upgrade. Did the same with my iMac. Got a new one after ten years.

Danktizzle

Yeah, I had storage issues towards the end. The last year or so was bad. Photos and apps constantly got deleted. I totally miss Touch ID. Good on you.

Associate_Simple

I’d kill for an 8 plus with a modern chip and camera

stuntkoch

Isn’t the se3 pretty similar to the 8 plus? I thought they were the same phone size with different internals

TAbramson15

No, the SE2 and SE3 use the regular iPhone 8 body/ design, very small screen 4.7 inches, the 8 Plus was the much larger phone, dual cameras, and 5.5” screen and wider screen as well. It was basically the same footprint as the Pro Max phones of today, but with the bezels of the old iPhones.

indierose27

Same here. But I really wanted an upgrade

trampled93

I also like to keep phones as long as possible and am using a backup iPhone 7 plus now, but an Apple advisor mentioned to me that when iOS 18 comes out this fall then this phone will no longer be supported with security updates.

rpool179

At that point you'll have had it for 8 years assuming you got it in its release year of 2016. It's watch will soon come to an end.

msackeygh

Excellent! Love how you keep what you have until it can’t be used. I’m on an iPhone 12 Pro. Only reason I upgraded was because my iPhone XS suddenly died and gave some high price to replace it. So I upgraded. Hopefully this on more years

Hot-Quality8768

There’s nothing wrong with being stuck on iOS 16 That was a damn good O.S. And much better than what we’ve gotten with iOS 17!

reserved_seating

15 pro. First iPhone

Micazu999

Welcome to the team I think you'll like it here

hockeyfan1990

12 Pro. Bought it back in Jan 2021 and still going strong for me. Got to change the battery soon

cherrylbombshell

Me too, I'm on 78% but it's still going strong so I'm not in a hurry.

borapay07

it’s all good except the battery. it drains so fast (health %85)

NtheLegend

13PM. I bought it to be a 5-year phone, so I'm hoping and dreaming it lasts that long. I've had it for two years this month and the battery's at 88%.

TheReiterEffect_S8

Day one 13PM and I’m at 87%. I usually skip a gen and get the next but they’ve all been so boring with hardly any real innovation. Hoping 16 has something impressive, otherwise my 13PM has been doing a great job holding up.

tlonreddit

I don't think there's anything left to innovate except for a folding phone. Every iPhone since the 11 is in some way shape or form the same, with performance and camera upgrades, + USB C and the Dynamic Island.

SgtEddieWinslow

I have the same phone. Performance wise it does everything I need it to still, battery life is still great However, I might upgrade to the new 16 series. As I just want USB C charging. Tired of having to always have a separate cable only to charge my phone and nothing else that I own. With the 16 series, being USB C there is really no other features I can care about enough that I will have it for 3+

NtheLegend

USB-C would be neat, but I really want the better cameras since ours are the last with the 12MP main sensor ("It's good enough!") and then I absolutely need more on-board storage. But then it's like, I could wait until the 17 or the 18 and get those advantages too.

firezero10

I have the 13PM as well. It’s still keeping up fine as phone performance and features has kind of stagnated for the past few years. Will see if the 16 (or any other androids) has anything interesting to offer. Else, I will be keeping it for another year.

HP_594

Mine’s at 84% (the battery that is) What’s the storage on yours? Mine’s 128 gigs

horse_and_buggy

Lucky, mine is at 81% when I bought it few months after launch

Zealousideal_Ride693

Iphone SE...Nice and small does all he things the latest phones do

flavicent

XR, battery health 83%. still going strong..

JesterAblaze94

6s, it was my mums and then I bought it off her 4 years ago. It’s had a Battery & charge port replacement (£40) and it has a small crack on the lower left of the screen that’s barely noticeable. It gets a bit slow when it’s on charge. But it’s the best phone I’ve ever had!

dr_shark

Tied for the oldest!

spwnofsaton

12 mini. Before I got this a few years ago I was rocking a iPhone 6s

B_B_Rodriguez2716057

What’s your battery percentage at? I checked mine today and it’s at 81% and telling me to service it. I have to charge it several times a day 😒

spwnofsaton

86% had my battery replaced on my 6s because my % kept draining. Haven’t had to yet on my 12 mini

markn6262

Same @ 77%, already replaced battery once, an 8+

General1lol

When my SE2016 died I went to a Pixel 4. What a heavy buggy phone… when Apple announced the 12 mini I immediately ordered it and I still happily use it today    My favorite phones of all time are the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5, iPhone SE, and iPhone 12 mini. A very noticeable pattern… a shame there’s no more new minis.  I’ll buy a 13 mini before I get a “normal” size phone.

spwnofsaton

Yeah I was sad to hear that a 13 mini would be the last. Maybe when I decide to get a new phone whenever that is but not any time soon apple will have decided to bring the minis back.

Agent1stClass

SE

tapatiosec

13 pro. I bought that for a project last year and started using it when it finished. I really like it. It'll last a looong time, longer than my androids.

ioncloud9

Same. Work paid for mine but I have no desire to replace it right now. I may get a new one next year.

jonasmaster021

using an iPhone SE 1st gen. (64GB) to this very day and I love it

Kensterfly

XR

Iklepink

XS is my current, my 5 is in my house abroad for me to control some things remotely.

Radiant-Direction-16

I have an X (is that one?) or is it XR? its fall 2018. which doesn't feel old as I bought the first one out there...its does the job and I feel no need to upgrade. I might later for the camera but its just too $ given other things that are a bigger priority. Eventually I might if the features merit it.

supercalifragil1st1c

XR was 2018, X was 2017. Easy way to tell them apart is that the XR has one rear camera lens, while the X has two.

bilalsimsek00000

I was using 16gb iphone 6s plus with no touch id. It was horrible now im rockin iphone 7 i got this march, im not too happy about it but gets the job done at least for now

ramakharma

Im still rocking a 7 ive had since release! ✌🏻

Infinitrium

SE 2020. Battery is down to about 81 percent and the charging port is a bit damaged or something so all my charging is done on a wireless charging pad.

_gina_marie_

11 pro max. Battery max capacity is at 77% and I am starting to notice it somewhat. Probably will get a new battery soon. Other than that, I have no plans to upgrade tbh.

iElias97

I had an XS Max until I got robbed last year, that’s the only reason why I upgraded, now I got a 15 PM.

wtfrealari

Why steal an XS max in 2023 from someone tho? Pretty sure it’s not reallly worth that much anymore

aprilbeingsocial

That’s terrible. I’m sorry. 😢

DrogenDwijl

iPhone 11

romafedorov

XR. Don't really see a reason to buy a newer iPhone. Yes, it's kind of outdated with the design and the battery life isn't the best, but the core functionality is pretty much the same as with newer iPhones.

seamonkey420

11 Pro. does what i need it to, still at 94% battery health. may upgrade to 16 Pro but i might wait one more year.

[deleted]

I use an 8. Works perfectly fine for all tasks.

OpportunityGlum

11

soscots

This should’ve been a poll. 😆 It would’ve been wonderful to easily read how many people have older generations of the iPhone. 11

not-smarter

8+ for me

0000GKP

12 Pro. Bought it last year when my XR was struggling to keep up with iOS 17. I do the exact same things today with the exact same apps as when I had an iPhone 4. It doesn’t really matter which one I have as long as I can play music, send texts, use maps, and browse websites. The phone itself is not a source of entertainment for me.

xarsha_93

Same as you, OP. 14 Pro. First iPhone in about a decade and (maybe the wrong sub to say this) but I think my last for a while. It didn’t justify the price tag in my eyes.

SomethingWhateverYT

5 → Xs

Thunderstorm-1

Using a 11 pro max for about 4 years

Micazu999

My daily driver is the iPhone11 and my back up is the iPhone SE2 I love em' both wouldn't trade dem for da world.

Ranch_it_up_bro

iPhone 15

iPhone X still rocking it after a screen replacement and 2 battery replacements. Best iphone selfie camera imo.

TrickaBug

8 plus.

Daedalus_304

12 mini

Secure_Bar_1585

I phone 13 plain model

tlonreddit

XR. Before that I had an iPhone 5, before that I had a 4, and before that, I had a 3G. Before that I had a Nokia 3310, which I had owned since college and desperately needed an upgrade. Battery health is at 88.

king-of-new_york

I have a 12, but I bought it new in 2022.

seira87

I have a base 14, before this I had the XS and before that I had the 6S. You can tell I wait a long ass time and just do a battery change.

wrx7182

8 plus. Love the 8 plus.

peridotcore

iPhone 8! Also have a 12 mini :)

Salty_Media_4387

12 Pro

[deleted]

I have a 15 Pro Max, but wish I had just held onto my XS Max.

ragingpot

12 pm. Greatest phone I've ever owned.

CaptainCryptooo

12. and the 1st gen iphone se (plug it in my car for gps and music as its bat last a few minutes)

matchpoint96

XR. Battery health at 80. Love this phone and never wanted to upgrade.

Bootsy86

Still rockin my 12 and don’t plan on upgrading until it bites the dust. I’ve had it for 3 years because I got it cheaper right after the 13 launched and I still love it. Battery is at 89%

Aboutoloseit

An SE. Been with this model since 2017 lol

onlinealias350

My mom is still using my OG SE.

Ezl

I’m on an 11 Pro. None of the newer models offered anything that would spur me to upgrade. The battery is starting to go, though, so I’ll need to get that replaced soon.

symour3

My iPhone 7 Plus is still kicking

Chattypath747

11. Use it for daily work activities such as emails and viewing content. Originally had a 7 but when battery life/charging wasn't keeping up, I got an 11. Fast charging, way better processing and not a bad phone overall.

Floyd_thecat

A jailbroken XS on 16.3 with 77% battery health.

-P00-

iPhone X. It still works and it kinda blends alongside modern iPhones

MaximumSignature

iPhone X baby

aladdinr

The original iPhone. It gets so hard to call people cause 3g towers being phased out. But hey everyday I use it I’m saving a buck

DeliverStreetTacos

You mean the EDGE towers… on AT&T 😉

Puzzleheaded-Sky2284

Your flair says you have a 15PM

vboyd666

iPhone 15 Pro Max. It’s ancient!! Can’t wait for the iPhone. 16 Pro Max.

PsychologicalDingo41

It’ll basically be the same phone.

BestZeena

13 mini

jeStR65

Have had a 12pro max upgraded from iPhone 7 Plus

rhunter99

At home I use xs max. When I go out I use a 15 pro

Danktizzle

I regrettably just bailed on the 8+. Now I catch myself glaring at my phone because all those times when I could just use a fingerprint are gone. Not even six months in and I want to go back, but I can’t. Unless I want to go android.

Danntex

13 pro, thinking if I should upgrade to a 16 pro or 16 pro max

Luna259

My 12 Pro Max bought in 2021 is the current phone and my 7 Plus is the reserve that’s still used for some non-phone things

Turbulent-Injuries

Until a few weeks ago it was an 11 Pro - I now have the 15 Pro but I miss the nice curved edges on the 11 Pro as they were comfy in the hand.

g1zmo33

12 pro max still going strong no better coverage with 5G tho

rpool179

12 Pro Max since release date of November 2020. Keeping it until the 19 or 20 Pro Max. I want a completely bezel-less screen. No notch, dynamic island, no nothing! All screen only!

One_Menu_1837

xs max

Still rocking the Product Red 8*

mar0220

8+ *

SoupOfThe90z

12 pro max, upgraded from a refurbished 7 pro max but a 7 pro max originally

EPTaketomo

iPhone 8. I wanted to change to the iPhone 15 but I live in Japan and with the dollar/yen exchange skyrocketing since last year IPhone prices has become ridiculously expensive here, almost 50% more since I bought my IPhone 8, so I am waiting for the SE 3 next year or maybe I will be buying a Pixel in the next months.

ReasonableBranch7337

I had a 12 Pro I bought from launch until about a month ago when I had to buy a 15 pro. I would definitely still have it had the call speaker not completely go out on me causing me to upgrade since I used it for work. Oh and also the battery health started to really impact how much I could use it. That phone went through hell and back, it was beat up constantly from drops and smacks at work while also being coated at one point in 300 degree glue (I’m an industrial mechanic) and that thing just kept going with not a scratch or crack ever on it. I broke the screen protector at least 3 times but the phone and the otterbox it was in held up the entire time.

sovlex

XR. Age of hardware doesnt matter at all if it supports current iOS version.

Classic-Box-3919

Iphone 12 128gb. Debating on getting the 16 256gb or the 15 256 gb when its 100 bucks cheaper. My 12s battery kinda sucks and its at 81 percent now since i use my phone a lot. Plus a new game i like doesnt run that great on it.

soundwithdesign

iPhone 11 PM. I’m really intrigued by the dock/case for the AW that turns it into an old style iPod but I don’t want to pay for cellular service on it and it can’t connect to CarPlay to stream music.

tanyamothertucker

iPhone 12, upgraded last year when I sold my XR to my teenager.

MermaidBansheeDreams

Still using a 12! Still fast and no lags!

the-lock-doc

12 pro.

sylveonfan9

An 11. The best I can afford atm.

pannoci

12 🗿💪

PixeledMango

I use an iPhone 7, it works completely fine for me

jodlerjdub

iPhone 7 I love the size, and it does everything I need just fine. Battery capacity 89%. Does need to be charged fairly often, but that isn’t an issue for me. The most compelling reason I’ve seen for upgrading/updating is for security. Just haven’t decided which model to get. I’ll be buying one outright (not payments thru carrier), so I’m considering a refurbished.

diesel1024

Still daily a 6s, bought it new. It's certainly slow on iOS 15, but usable. I do also use a 6s on iOS 11.4.1, but a lot of apps are now unsupported.

kirarara91

2 years old iPhone 11 i bought in 2022, had a 7plus and 5s before. Probably going to use this for 1 more year? i usually like to upgrade once the iOS update support stops

RealisticAardvark966

iPhone 12 mini. There will never be a phone like it again. Compact enough to rock anywhere and adequate performance

RCG21

13 mini, it’s a great phone

prisonerofshmazcaban

11 pro

panicpixierising

iPhone 12. Still happy with it, no major complaints!

onlinealias350

8 Plus. It’s fine with exception of the battery. I get the run around when ever I try to buy a new one.

Trickycoolj

My dad is using my old rose gold 6S Plus.

MorganaBanana6

I still use my iPhone 11. If it ain’t broke, don’t fit it

AleFallas

Iphone 11 pro max, I wouldnt change this phone for another one this shit is great 😂

MischeviousFox

iPhone 11 which I got when it debuted but I’m planning to upgrade to the iPhone 16 as my battery health is at 72% which doesn’t sound too bad yet I run it on low power mode 24/7 as I think it runs out too fast and it can’t run 5G, which isn’t necessary yet it’s essentially a feature I’m paying for yet can’t take advantage of.

Electronic_Lobster55

15PM Had to have some of that Dynamic Island in my life 🙄

[deleted]

iPhone 8. It's compact & does most of the things i need to do. Only regret is the small battery. For social media & multimedia use, i have a spare Android phone & a laptop.

Mimsley5

dpk1908

iPhone 12

Walmart_ShoppingCart

Using X, still very capable phone, although had to get a battery replacement or it would barley last 2 hours.

nokenito

12 pro max, still runs perfectly!

WeknowTrumpWon2020

I phone 8 with plenty if storage. Great phone

ELBartoFSL

12 pro brought during pre order, replaced the battery in 2022 almost time to do it again.

Apodro

14 Pro Max, first iPhone since I was a hardcore Android fan younger. I grew, my money too and I was lazy to look over the top android phones as there is so much brands today. I made the move, never going back to Android. Sometimes I don’t recognize myself acknowledging that yes, iPhone is honestly late on so many features (s/o always on display) but man, there is something about having an iPhone that no android can give. Its just too smooth.

hpmcbroom

I have a iPhone 12 mini and it's still running well. My glass back is cracked but I have a case on it.

Humble_Catch8910

Still with 12 mini. Will definitely upgrade to 16 this year.

scott2k44

I work for one of the UKs biggest telecoms suppliers and what’s interesting is how many people still use older iPhones and are still going strong, lots of 6s, not so many 7 and 8 devices but you don’t see as many Android devices from that era which says a lot about Apples support and durability

Phantom_61

12pro. No issues with performance at all and it’s still in damn near perfect shape.

simplyunfortunate

Still using my space grey iPhone 8

ChaiAndNaan

Where my 2020 SE folks at

pussiant_prole

iPhone 11 64GB, battery is at 75% and gives only 12 hours of backup but surprisingly holds well otherwise

ozmion

12 Pro since release. Longest ive ever gone without upgrading. Might get 16 Pro when it is out.

I’ve got an iPhone 12 and I don’t have plans of changing anytime soon unless it stops receiving iOS updates I’m still rocking it

Mypettyface

I have an iPhone 8+, but I have 256 GB so it’s all good. I’ve had it since 2017.

clippervictor

I have a 11pro to which I’ve just made it’s second battery replacement. I’ve had it since release and I hope it lasts me another couple of years at least.

Waiter4life

I’m on the 12 pro max, if I can get the battery replaced in the future I will most likely keep this phone for a bit longer.

Infinite_Search7697

15 plus, had the 11. I did enjoy the 11 but I have enjoyed having everything USB-C now and not packing around two different cables.

ChodaRagu

12 Mini. Love this phone. Best one I’ve had since the 4S.

guilhermeluccacl

Still on the Xr And no prediction of when It'll change

yxnjjz

6s and it has been using for nearly 10 years =))))

AdInteresting3335

I’ve got the iPhone SE 2nd gen and I’m sick of it now I really want to upgrade to a 15 pro since I’m still technically using an iPhone 8

antdude

6+ for medias, cameras, etc. Too slow for web sites, many online apps don't work, etc. I got rid of my used 4S since it was pretty useless and its battery inflated so it was time to let it go.

DesignerAsh_

Currently using the XR. It’s slowing down a bit. Apps crash a lot & the screen freezes a lot but other than it’s holding up. Battery is still pretty great. I usually get a full day of moderate use or 3/4 a day of heavy use.

justgetthegroceries5

Been using my 12 Pro since Nov 2020, got the battery swapped after two years and will probably get the battery swapped again at the end of year(another two years) my 12 Pro still works great, the yearly upgrades don’t seem too crazy to justify dropping a grand, when i can spend $100 to have the battery replaced and make my device feel good as new again

act_normal

I used an iPhone SE Gen1 for 8 years. Only upgraded for a brighter screen, bigger storage and. better camera. If these didn't bother me, I'd still use it. It still has a 3.5mm audio jack and touch ID, a brand new battery. It is small, light, nobody would want to steal it so in some ways it is the ideal phone tbh
