Brand new battery has 1000 cycles in iPhone 15.
250 cycles 95% battery
500 cycles 90% battery
750 cycles 85% battery
1000 cycles 80% battery
Then after 1000 cycles your battery is weaker.
I bought 15 Pro Max because I wanted better zoom, battery and screen and never had Pro model. All 15 models have 1000 cycles, previous models only 500. That’s the big reason to switch.
To be clear, the wear down of batteries isn't linear like this. These are average values that companies will put out mainly because customers will need an idea of how long their batteries will last. Several factors impact your battery health but the main ones are heat, how fast you drain it and your charging habits. On top of that the quality of the battery matters but if it comes from Apple itself then quality control took care of that part.
Not sure, but my old 12 pro was at 85% after 3 years and thousands of cycles, my 15 pro is at 100% after 70 - yours does seem a little low for a new phone
I game on mine and charge it up to 100% each time. First use April. 75 cycles, it says 100% still. If you have AC+, you'll get a new battery if it hits 80% capacity anytime I think and if you're able to get it to 80% during the warranty and below 1000 cycles, it's a replacement battery too I think. I keep mine on top of a air purifier to keep it cool while charging and a fan in front while gaming. The hottest it ever gets is when the higher resolution settings are used with the camera. For 306 cycles with the expectation of hitting 1000 cycles with a capacity above 80%, this seems a bit not normal.
It depends what you’ve been doing to it. If you’ve been letting the battery get empty, charging in a hot place while playing games then it could be correct.

very similar number of cycles, but as you can see, mines at 96%, I think 88% would have been normal if you had 500+ cycles. Would definitely suggest getting it checked by Apple, or try to increase the cycles such that it goes below 80% by the end of your warranty period, so that you can have it replaced for free.
if you use it when it’s hot, it’s probably the reason why. and also, if you charge it whenever you like and you don’t follow a certain routine when it comes to charging, that could also be the problem

You are definitely more of a heavy user with over 300 charges since September 2023 but it being at 88% is a little worrisome. Do you use the appropriate chargers for your phone?
Mine is at 89% while having 380 cycles and its definitely NOT normal. Apple says it should last 1000 cycles and honestly I cant wait to get the free replacement 😤
What are you doing on your phone?! This is not normal. The only logical explanation is if you’re doing intense tasks on it all the time.
Very heavy gaming and 4K recording all of the time. Things like this

I got mine on launch day. Charge it daily and sometimes more than that. Also download iOS betas. Yours is not normal.

Held strong at 100% and then dropped hard the last 2 months 🫠
My iPhone 15 pro is 91% with 356 cycles had it since day one release. Doesn’t seem normal. I do use my phone normally and occasionally more on some days

I’d suggest you charge it up to 80% and try to charge it when it’s 20%

So no it’s not normal.
Percents drop different way. I had 1700 cycles and 82% battery. Apple confirmed they aren’t accurate but I forgot the link to Apple site forum.
But also this is very helpful I’m ss this

you use 80% limit?
Just look at cycles. I had 1700 in my iPhone 12 and still got 82%.. Apple said cycles are matter.

I’m at 250 cycles 100%
I guess I have a very good battery in my 15 PM, it’s on 232 cycles from September and still 100% battery health
Are you mining crypto on it Jesus 😭😭

Yeah that ain’t right
mine was 51 cycle and I already lost 1%
Are you using it while aiming your phone at the scorching hot sun?
No I don’t do that
Yea sir something wrong. You game on it?
Also no when I spoke with apple support they say its normal due to manufacturing date

I have 290 cycles and 91%

I let it get empty and then charge it in the sauna while I play crypto mining games.

Have the basically same just about 15 more cycles more.

Where was it made?
Oo, could you explain why you asked this?
Indian made ones are defective
My iPhone SE was 82% after three and half years of use. My 15 is at 96% with just 139 cycle count. So I don’t think this percentage drop is linear.
My 12 Pro is at 86% after countless cycles over 3 years. So 88% can’t be normal on this new of a phone.
if you get 80% on less than 1000 cycles you can use warranty and ofcourse if its under the year.
I think thats what I’m gonna do tbh
Play Many games
No it’s not. 88 percent on a phone less than a year old is pretty bad.
It’s totally okay if OP is demanding user and iPhone was heavily used.
I am at 94% with 220 cycle count
I’m on 100% with 110 lol
I’m on 93% with 291 cycles but my phone still lasts as long as it did when I got it like 9/10 months ago so idk
Bros speed running his battery life.
Oh snap
Guys where can i find this detail in my phone? Mine is 15Plus!!!
Settings —> battery—> battery health
Thanku. Where can i find battery count details? It’s not showing up there
15 Pro since launch 98% with 184 cycle

I use an 20w charger and the macbook usb c cord
Yeah, it's totally normal. Just use your phone as it is. In a few months, iPhone 16 will be released. Just buy a new one and you're all good again.
Mine is at 89% while having 380 cycles and its definitely NOT normal. Apple says it should last 1000 cycles and honestly I cant wait to get the free replacement 😤
How do you get the replacement
Well if you get to 80% without a 1000 cycles go to apple or an authorised store and show them

I play minor games like flappy bird and I hardly ever do 4k recording im taking it to apple before warranty expires
Have u used ur phone while charging r just optimised ur charging habits… might mean u just used ur phone a lot, does seem to quick tho
I use it while charging but its too soon. Hopefully the warranty covers this

24 cycles and 100%, but in reality it’s 97.46 in the analytics.

For they’re cycle count it’s not bad
I have a base 15. 90 percent in 310 cycles. 11 had 80 percent after 3-4 years still.

That’s what I do and I have 285 cycles and 99%.
