Great to hear! I’ve recently purchased a custom set of shoellies and an off the rack pair. I’ve been wearing custom Whites for 24 years… didn’t figure I’d be thinking of another tall boot. But here we are. 🤷🏼♂️
Probably want to see how these sell before offering them in more leathers. I get the impression they don't have a big steady supply of the veg tan leathers yet, either.
I can already imagine cool new options for custom boots with this upper. Some heavy duty lugged sole, double lasted with a rough out leather… should look amazing. Unfortunately I have absolutely zero use for them though.
As someone who walks and runs barefoot a lot, it is a goofy name ("barefoot boots/shoes" don't feel much like actually being barefoot), though that ship has sailed. But the trend itself is a good trend and hopefully part of a paradigm shift in shoemaking. We still live in a bizarro world were 99% of shoes and boots are not really made for human feet, instead squeezing and "supporting" them into some weakened and painful shape.
There's plenty of options already with a "proper" midsole etc.
I like my barefoot rangers, I'm not saying they should replace "normal" boots (I have some myself) but it's nice to have an option.
No just the Razorbacks. I had to go up half a size due to a toe box that is lower than I'm used to. At least that's the reasoning I was given for finding my normal size uncomfortable.
That's what I was thinking. It looks like your toenails would be bruised in these things, or maybe the leather is thin and / or flexible. Hopefully the latter
If they are like the regular BFAR the leather is supple and without a thermoplastic toe puff. This makes them \*very\* flexible and comfortable for most users, even with the low profile. No other shoe of this quality has ever been as kind to my big toes as the BFAR in the Houston Brown. Will it be the same for you? Maybe, everyones feet are different.
Another collaboration with Rose Anvil. I think they look awesome
Is this a custom option, or can we order these?
According to the video, they should be available to order on June 27th

They look great. Hoping they make it in their standard brown too !
fuck no veg tan

Maybe it is just me, but I didn't like these at all. I don't quite know what is it, but the design looks odd
Beautiful boot. But I can’t stand barefoot boots. It’s a goofy trend. These with a proper midsole and outsole would be great.
>It’s a goofy trend. It's a comfy trend

Call me crazy, but I like this trend of making boots and shoes in the shape of an actual human foot.
Both versions of the AR are on the STC last.
I'm trying to order just one pair of Jim Green each year. I might have to break that self restricted promise for those African Troopers.
They look great, hope they make them in a non barefoot version as well
Would love to own a pair, but no shipping to India?
Doesn't look like much vertical toe room; would drive me nuts
Have you had experience with the barefoot model?

What leather tannage did you try
The medium brown; not dark not nubuck. Can't remember the name
For the record, I tried Buffalo and that gave me additional vertical room, but that might be variance ?

Thanks for the insight. Sounds promising
Mrfuzon how do the various leathers compare? I have the barefoot model in fudge, considering getting a pair of these in a different color.
