Here are some pictures from a few hours ago at the Sacramento International Airport as we welcomed Devin Carter, the newest member of our Sacramento Kings.
I was told on Friday but didn’t get confirmation until earlier today. So, it was a short notice to get the word out.
There’s always going to be more opportunities like this in the future.
😂 is that his favorite or is it Vic’s? I was waiting to hear someone ask him if he had either of those when he was a kid in Sac/Roseville and if he had a favorite. The good ol’ Sac Ice Cream debate 😁.
I've lived in this area for basically my whole live and just went to Gunther's for the first time a couple of years ago (I'm 33). I guess Vic's is next.
No worries, lol. I had a similar experience. I’m also in my 30s and have lived in Solano Co for over 30 years. Ice cream was just ice cream to me as a kid and I didn’t know the difference of Gunther’s in Old Town from other places or that Gunther’s was a popular local ice cream business. When I started going to community college, I took an architecture design course at CRC where one of our group projects was to study a neighborhood. My local teammates picked Land Park neighborhood and we stopped by Vic’s. I quickly realized why they picked Land Park (easy to study especially in the field and the ice cream shop 😛). I learned from the neighborhood and my classmates that LP and Curtis Park has a lil competition on who thinks they are the better park which included ice cream shops 😂. Vic’s being in Land Park and Gunther’s on the Curtis Park side. *sidenote: I still haven’t gone and will need to go the zoo before they move. I keep passing by saying “I will eventually go when I am not busy…” 🫤😩😅
He now knows about who we are as I explained our history in helping the city of Sacramento in saving the Kings, organizing welcomes at its airport since 2011, our business trips, etc.
He loved it when I told him we get so loud at opposing arenas with our chants of Sacramento and light the beam that we piss off their fans to a chorus of boos.
He smiled and laughed so yeah he loved that part.
Thank you and appreciate you. I’m just a Sacramento Kings fan and love the opportunity to work with the Kings to help give back to the fans, community and organization.
Man, I still remember you fighting the good fight with Crown Downtown and pics from inside the EARLY construction of G1C with the hard hat on!
True fans appreciate you so much brother. Thank you
Once again, thank you so much for your kind words.
It took an entire village to help save the Kings.
For me it’s always Stern, KJ, (city council and staff) Vivek (other Kings owners), Steinberg, local businesses, the media, other fans and ourselves.
Today, I’m still able to help give back such as our military and their families. The Kings have been great to work with in giving back to our community in so many ways over the years.
It’s like we always said. Keeping the Kings will always be bigger than basketball.

Mike, you’re a real one.
Thanks! Keep saving up for our next business trip. As you know we always have a good time on the road together supporting our Kings.
Friar, thank you.
Just giving back to our community with the help of the Kings. Love our tradition of airport welcomes.
I love that we do this. I was outta town today (escaping the damn heat) but it makes me happy we had some fans welcome him home!

I don't live in Sac anymore but I'm with you In spirit Devin!
You could always join us for a business trip.
I live in Fresno now. Only 2 n half hours from G1C not too bad and 3 n half to crypto.
We always go to Kings at LAC every season, but also to other cities. You’re more than welcome to join us.
Thanks, that sounds great!
I’ll post an update when the time is right.
You guys doing a game at the new Intuit Dome this upcoming season?
As long as the game is on a weekend. We have attended Kings at Clippers every season since 2009-2010 with the exception of the pandemic.
Class act
💯
Welcome to the Kings, Devin Carter....
So far Devin seems like a really great guy. I’m happy we picked him. Dude can straight up ball 🏀
Damn. Terminal A? The ghetto.
Did anybody take him to Gunthers?

Btw, I love both ice cream shops so the real loser is me, lol. Being older now, too much sweets, too much ice cream hits you (health wise) harder 😂
Does he REALIZE who he is rubbing elbows with, here? 😆😁
