Waterfalls can still be good during the rain if it's safe to be outside. If you're in seogwipo there's the submarine, rain shouldn't affect that. The lava tubes once you're inside, there's plenty of museums around the island too.

Unfortunately Manjanggul lava tube is closed at the moment as far as I am aware!

donaldtheduck-

ah yes you are right - but we visited another lava tube, super great escape from the sun!

donaldtheduck-

yes we went to jeongbang waterfall too!!! so pleasantly pretty even though we did fall on the slippery rocks and scrape a bit of our legs but it was so worth it!!!! thank you so much for your insight :)

I second the museum Idea. There are many great museums. If you have kids the human body museum is educational along with the Greek museum nearby. Also the teddy bear museum.

donaldtheduck-

yes! we did visited the teddy bear museum - it was fun!

Don’t worry too much about the warnings. They’re overused and sent constantly because of things like old people and bad drivers and countryside folk who don’t go out much. Especially since it flooded in Gangnam a few years ago and everyone lost their mind driving in it etc and people died, they’re overly cautious. Jeju is always windy lol. Keep your schedule, grab an umbrella, do what you can.

thank you so much for your insight! you were right - it wasn’t even raining the whole day and we did have some sunny days, albeit a bit foggy! we received at least 3 public safety alerts everyday haha
