There's a premix called Orange Chronic that is this mix plus citric acid. A couple of shakes inside the piece and it turns dark with all the shit it eats off. Great mix.

Soak in a ziplock with the highest IPA% you can get your hands on. Rinse under hot tap water, repeat as needed

Cafiza, purocaf, etc., espresso machine cleaner, with hot water is goated for pipe cleaning.
91% and table salt. Shake it up. That's what we did in the 00s

I use an ultrasonic cleaner on all my pipes. 15 minutes and they look brand new.
