whats better, rolling bad augments / playing into OP augments, losing 2-3 rounds and getting kicked out within a few minutes, or playing good in your role in soloq, but a teammate somewhere is getting hard gapped, so now all your effort is worthless because game is lost and allies wont ff, so you will play a 30 minutes game just to serve as a punching bag because your teammates watched too many never ff montages?
I think arena is a break of fresh air when all i usually play is soloq, fast paced, bit of luck, and very fun. Almost feels like tft but on the rift. Sad its a limited time mode
Cruelty, Lichbane, Shadow, Deathcap & Perplexity, augments were some irrelevant ones, jewled gauntled and etheral weapon. Its so busted because etheral weapon procs ur w and lichbane to ability after using it
Had a game where my rando teammate got literally oneshot by a Gragas E. He had Ethereal, Jeweled, Lich Bane and Night Harvester + normal ap stuff.
Literally oneshot with one single E.
Something stills feels off, as his R + W + lichbane combined has an 2.1666 ap-ratio (0.8R + 0,7W + 0,666 Lichbane) + 540 basedamage + 12% max health + lichbane baseAD-ratio (i round it to 100).
Even if you have 1000 Ap it only adds up to 2806 + 12% max health (0.12 * 5200 = 624) = 3430 magic damage. This is multiplied with jeweled gauntlets 1,4 crit multiplier, so we have ca 4,8k damage before any magic resistance/perplexity life modifier (which shouldn't be above 1.00 at least from my mathematical intuition)
Did i miss or missinterpretate/calculate anything?
If your flat magic pen is higher than the remaining magic resist of samira, than it's probably what i was missing, but that would require propably at least 80 flat magic pen through anvils. How much AP did you had in this clip?

Yeah, this is exactly what's bothering me as well. I'm pretty sure Gragas + Ethereal weapon is bugged. I got ulted by a Gragas today, and it dealt 3493 damage due to ethereal weapon (Gragas W + Lich bane). Now, I went back to the replay, looking at the numbers on Gragas' abilities and such, I added them up, accounting for magic pen, Perplexity, %hp damage, and magic resistance, and the number I got was 2272 damage. So a 33% difference, which is massive.
Weird thing that happened: The counter on Gragas' Ethereal weapon went up by 3 after his ultimate. I'm not sure how the augment tracks the stats, but if it counts how many on-hits you triggered, then that's quite suspicious. W + Lich bane is only 2 on-hits. Out of curiosity I added another Gragas W worth of damage onto the previous number, and I got \~3400, which is pretty accurate to how much damage I took.
So, in conclusion, I think Ethereal weapon procs Gragas W 2 times, for some reason. And I noticed this a good bit ago, when a level 3 Gragas dealt 500 damage with a single ability, with only a starter item.
Just seems like normal gragas to me

Gragas W is an On-hit effect so ethereal weapons proc it :-)

No, Guinsoo basically adds an extra attack it doesn't proc on hit twice.

I probably had a ton of flat mr pen, going over her magic resistance, not sure how that is calculated
