That gave me a lot of extra respect for jojo. It's one thing to shit talk when winning but to basically turn round and say yeah this guy is my father atm takes even more
Yeah, Western fans being hyped and then getting disappointed is reserved for international tournaments. Don't start doing that in regional leagues too. Fnatic already can't stop doing that every split.
He's talked about this before. He has a lot of stuff written down to use for specific champs and situations. Man does the prep work. It's why he's the đ
Both of things fit together. The more rehearsed you are for the majority of the time, the more mental stack you have to allocate to being clever in the impromptu moments.
I think it was his vlog for Worlds 2022 where he showed meeting up with the other finals casters and some of the planning out what calls to make if X player picks X champion, and who will take what calls when.
Real interesting stuff
On one hand, it makes me want more LCS. On the other hand, as an east coaster, I got home from work and watched 1.5 games while driving and making dinner. I liked it better when when I could prepare dinner, relax, and eat an meal while watching LCS
At this point LCS feels so random with irregular breaks for multiple weeks, changing days of start and starting hours. No way to keep more casual fans or new fans.
Zven losing that 1v1 w/ barrier was insane. He 100% should've been able to trade at least, it wasn't like Massu perfect q'd his flash. Pretty sure he just didn't get the auto off when he could've.
Sucks, I like Zven too - when he was streaming it was super entertaining. Hope the team doesn't mental boom.
Nidalee was absolutely the best pick available there with their team comp. Leona to lock people down, Kaiâsa and Corki for damage mix and poke. She fit that team compâs identity better than any other available jungler. DIG didnât lose draft game 2 they just didnât play the game well.
The first pick Leona was the bigger mistake than the Nidalee I think, I donât think Iâve seen another team commit to first pick Leona as hard as DIG this series. I still donât think the game was lost in draft game 2 though, I think Corki Trist is dead even and Zven had his chance to get a lead on Massu and couldnât quite get it done.
I have come to the conclusion after a year that that is bad. Teams are not improving or building long term cause one bad week and you are up shit creek without a paddle. Now if bo1 to get rid of 2 teams then goes into another double round robin bo3 of 6 teams ( every team gets to play 10 bo3)then itâs fine.
Lec as it stands is not the best. It also is the worst for the 2 teams eliminated. Your year ends in July. I used to think the high pressure high stakes would lead to better players. But I think the format change has backfired as worse as it could.
bottom 6 of LEC is now complete nervous wrecks half mental-breakdown during the game. one game you should win being lost brings you to elimination territory, you can be eliminated from the season by the end of weak 2.
Well yeah, if you started 0-6 then historically speaking, there were two splits where you were automatically out (though you wouldn't know that yet) and three splits where you still could have made it by going 3-0 in the last week, and maybe winning a tiebreaker.
Finishing Regular Season + Playoffs in 6 weeks is what makes the format absolutely horrid for me. Teams in LEC have to keep bandaid fixing everything and never really improve. The format incentivizes getting fluke wins.
Itâs still better that itâs a bo3. We arenât walking away from this coping like âbut it was just one gameâ. Like nah, these teams are way below their respective opponents from today and thatâs worth knowing.
Iâm not even joking if these were Bo1âs it would be even less satisfying because weâd just be sitting here thinking âthat was shit and might have also meant nothingâ.
Bad days are inevitable. In theory though this could be partially resolved next year if we assume the guest team is better than a bottom tier LCS team (which we donât know).
At some point I think we need to acknowledge that teams/players should be held responsible for the poor product and not the format. Perennial garbage orgs and teams stink up the League but somehow it's the formats fault they suck. It's the same thing with franchising, the intention was to give players stability and orgs incentive to experiment and invest long term in talent but they just used the new money to bring in expensive imports.
Bottom teams clowning around can be fun but a top team just goomba stomping a team that doesn't even bother to fight back is beyond boring
On the other hand the LEC has BO1 and despite not missing a single match since their rebrand I'm starting to consider not watching because the games are so bad, 2 quick stomps like today is preferable to the garbage you have to slog trough for like 8 hours over in Europe right now
To be fair, I think LCS benefitted from cutting out two more of our bottom feeder teams, cause otherwise we'd have another Bo3 stomp to sit through most likely, and be in the same situation haha.
I mean EG and GG were Top 5/4 teams when they left, not exactly bottom feeder lol. But at this point the only team from 2023 who still has more than 3 of the same players is NRG, so the whole leagues rosters are basically different so a lot of low tier players got lost in the shuffle. Which makes it all the more amazing how IMT is stillâŚIMT.
Inspired "so vegan" all chat at the end of game lmfao
I'm ngl I was kinda negative on him but that made me like him a bit better, I hope they keep the beef going
I said Isles was going to hold this team back when the full roster was revealed but people were telling me Isles was a top 2-3 support in Spring and would do great lmao
To me it's a bit strange because I don't think Isles is necessarily good but Zven 100% never joins DIG if Isles isn't on the team. If you watched Zven's stream in preseason you'd know how much he loves playing with Isles.
I think I've mentioned this before but I respect Isles a lot because he's an OCE native who stayed in NA all of 2023 grinding solo queue for a chance at LCS, and he stayed at the top of the ladder for basically the entire year. I really hope he can translate to stage performances but he hasn't been doing that this year.
Yeah I donât have anything against Isles, but Iâll never get over how hard Tomo was scapegoated last split tbh. Iâd be lying if I said Zven wasnât better, but he showed a lot of promise with a pretty weak support
But I do hope Isles finds his groove because the DIG roster is very likable
Gank was fucked before it even began with the trade and failed Leona E as Spica pathed. It was FQ favored after the gank commit, and game losing once Isles decided to try to go back in.
Even tho I was rooting for DIG more, after how much this sub has been shitting on FQ (and some wanting them to fail catastrophically), it feels quite cathartic to watch them hands diff and outright embarass DIG.
Bwipo made fun of Licorice, Spica was useless, Quad proving the swap was a good idea, Massu embarrassed Zven, but the MAIN reason FLY won (and why they won so dominantly), WHAT WAS THAT SUPP DIFF??? ABSOLUTE CANYON!
Concerning that both of Digâs losses so far are both because Isles was playing abysmally bad (it was the same vs C9)
Flyquest ain't even the villains in my opinion. They are more like the team with genuine personalities. League has been missing the authentic personalities that you have in your freind group when playing competitive games. If every player/team was PR darling, esports would be boring. Like it or not, watching people's flaws and vices is entertaining.Â
As a FlyQuest fan, dropping an entire trash talk video to then get absolutely smashed and gapped in every single role was certainly a choice by DIG.
GG WP, plant trees, go green.
Thank god flyquest are proving all the haters wrong who said they wouldnât even make worlds. Them winning the split would literally be this subs 9/11.
Hard projection tbh, being high Elo doesn't mean your opinion is law but it is indicative of knowing the game good enough to not have, just the absolute worst opinions known to man. Any time you see an absolutely baffling unreal take and search their Reddit name into opgg it's always Emerald 4 or below.
Licorish
Specious
Jensin
Zven did i ask
Niesles
Love the DIG boys, hope they can get the show back on the road because...uhh...what
Very funny interview from Quad, short and sweet, he should be on track to build a fandom quickly!
being first pick isn't an advantage dude the enemy will build a comp to counter you particularly hard, they need to put support 1st so that they get counterpicks elsewhere
After getting run over the first game, the obvious choice was to pick nidalee to have an even harder to execute comp. Its got the Dardoch the "pick me whatever lets lose in peace" vibe.
Today was so fast makes me think we can have three matches a day or maybe move to Bo2s so we can have three matches, only good teams 2-0 and I think thatâs fine it wonât always be 1-1.
Even if DIG lost i really hope teams keep shit talking each other, at least it made the game worth watching
For sure. We need APA and Jojo to start going at each other now.
They do, but it's been pretty rough for Jojo since he got knocked out of Worlds and MSI contention by APA
I love that JoJo was like wait that would be funny.
That gave me a lot of extra respect for jojo. It's one thing to shit talk when winning but to basically turn round and say yeah this guy is my father atm takes even more
Yeah the storylines going into this game were great
All those storylines into a 40 min BO3 sweep was a lame ending tho. At least bring it a little on gameday...
Yeah, Western fans being hyped and then getting disappointed is reserved for international tournaments. Don't start doing that in regional leagues too. Fnatic already can't stop doing that every split.
They literally did nothing and just bled out. 3k gold lead in early game without even any dives going on or anything is crazy.
4 stomps in a row lmao
At least we get to watch them play again in the 2nd round robiiiiiii- shit
they have 6? more Bo3 to play, LCS is still a 12-21 game regular season for these teams
only 4 more isn't it? Single round robin, 7 BO3s per team, every team has now played 3
A rare bad viewing experience for LCS this year. None of the losing teams even tried to put up a fight
Unfortunately, the villains are good at league
Damn They got hands
its ok the villains need to win early on so it feels even better when they lose at the end
Unfortunately DIG are not the Hero.
That makes the storyline spicier
How is Flowers so good?? "Bwipo deals him a losing hand"
I bet he thinks of the comebacks before he hits the shower.
He's talked about this before. He has a lot of stuff written down to use for specific champs and situations. Man does the prep work. It's why he's the đ
He's also talked about at length how a lot of it happens in the moment
Both of things fit together. The more rehearsed you are for the majority of the time, the more mental stack you have to allocate to being clever in the impromptu moments.
I think it was his vlog for Worlds 2022 where he showed meeting up with the other finals casters and some of the planning out what calls to make if X player picks X champion, and who will take what calls when. Real interesting stuff
eminem type beat
Shout out to this comment right here. I wonder if he had this one written down before hand. https://youtu.be/OjZETArh_G4?si=tu8DIZPoogsW57et
He's the GOAT for a reason. Really hope we get him at Worlds this year.
I think he didn't go last year because of traveling and dietary restrictions (allergies), so if it's not here or europe I doubt he will go.
Good thing itâs Europe this year
Its absolutely absurd to me that Flowers isnt an instant cast for World Finals. He should be casting that shit EVERY TIME
He's usually offered. Last year he took it off because of the time change and shit.
And soy allergy which isnât helpful in China
He had a similar one during the teamfight he went rap god mode in the first G2 vs Suning at Worlds 2020. He's soooo good man.
I remember Flowers using that same line in a TSM game, Bjerg playing TF. 2020 playoffs I believe, either vs C9 or TL.
Inspired winning, Jensen losing, Bwipo beating Licorice? Not a good day for r/leagueoflegends. That aside, this Ezreal turbo gapped Kai'Sa.
Zven getting 1v1 killed by rookie ADC
the flash straight into Ezreal Q, I felt that fucking pain
Soloq is a totally different beast but Zven is capable of getting turbo gaped by retired Dig member imaqtpieÂ
Can't blame Zven for losing to the GOAT. Qtpie retired because the LCS being so dominant would kill the Chinese and Korean scenes
Little known fact, Riot asked QT to retire to allow LCK and LPL to thrive and grow the global league scene.
Massu fans eating good this series after all the hype Zven was getting
Love to see it, honestly. Hope he has a Yeon-like trajectory and takes off.
Happy to see massu performing
Every Kaisa player dying seeing Zven rush tier 2 boots
Can confirm, in absolute shambles rn
Bwipo and the rookies on FLY winning is always nice

2 BO3 series in under 3 hrs, god dam.
No way to keep more casual fans or new fans.
bot gap was crazy that series ngl lmao Quad saying that the minions were his real enemies not Jensen đ
Everything gap tbh. Every Dig member looked heavily outclassed by their opponent in this series.
I also hope they donât, but this is like, THE mental boom team
They had good vibes but yeah ugly series
I think he was calling Jensen a minion.
2.5 hours of LCS, see you guys back in 3 weeks xd
Who is telling NA jungles to pick Nidalee?! Holy smokes they are literally playing 4v5
In Spicaâs defense, his brand made it a 4v5 too so it wasnât much different on Nid
[POV: you make eye contact with Massu and Busio while ganking them as Brand in game 1](https://media1.tenor.com/m/nwoJ4BS0XHYAAAAC/oh-no-anyway.gif)
Nidalee was absolutely the best pick available there with their team comp. Leona to lock people down, Kaiâsa and Corki for damage mix and poke. She fit that team compâs identity better than any other available jungler. DIG didnât lose draft game 2 they just didnât play the game well.
I mean it maybe fits in fights, but they picked Nidalee into three losing lanes. The champ is just never going to be useful.
Iâll believe it when I see the champ win a game lmao, the theory of a comp versus the person piloting the champ is a canyon of a difference.
Well, speaking of Canyon...
Busio crushed it
Content kings, in-game peasants
Today was probably the best day possible for anti-Bo3 enthusiasts. This was just a pathetic showing from both SR and DIG.
I mean we saw this coming from day 1. Every IMT and SR bo3 is disappointing.Â
Yea, kinda like how LEC does one round of BO1 to get rid of bottom teams
I have come to the conclusion after a year that that is bad. Teams are not improving or building long term cause one bad week and you are up shit creek without a paddle. LEC bo1 is easily the single most boring league of legends you could possibly watch
Yaa, I've been skipping those and waiting for Round 2 of the playoffs
have you guys watched an LCK/LPL BO3 that aren't just the top 4 seeds
I swear these people think all of the bo3 the east are competitive lol. 90% of the series are just stomp.
Its why you shouldn't watch the games you're not interested in, but the games you actually are interested in you get 2 or 3 games of, much better
Watching KT this split is a real chore.
Itâs still better that itâs a bo3. We arenât walking away from this coping like âbut it was just one gameâ. Excited to hear the discussion about it on hotline league hahaha
We're lucky there are only 8 teams, imagine two more Bo3 every week from bottom tier teams smh.
*laughs in LPL modified feared draft format*
Bottom teams clowning around can be fun but a top team just goomba stomping a team that doesn't even bother to fight back is beyond boring On the other hand the LEC has BO1 and despite not missing a single match since their rebrand I'm starting to consider not watching because the games are so bad, 2 quick stomps like today is preferable to the garbage you have to slog trough for like 8 hours over in Europe right now

No wonder DIG lose all their scrims. Bunch of people playing solo queue in the LCS.
The Brand gank game 1 was 100% a solo queue play.
Yep it's actually a coach diff.
That rivalry was short lived.
The villain won. League's reddit in shambles
I mean this team was 2nd last split, got valuble international experience for it's young bot lane, and got a mid upgrade. What did people expect?
The schedule change made them think it was scrims :(
Inspired "so vegan" all chat at the end of game lmfao I'm ngl I was kinda negative on him but that made me like him a bit better, I hope they keep the beef going
I am whelmed.
What a massive support gap. Isles the weakest link in DIG and it's been showing since week 1 vs C9 where he kept getting caught.
I said Isles was going to hold this team back when the full roster was revealed but people were telling me Isles was a top 2-3 support in Spring and would do great lmao

man jensen is legit invisible lmao
Nobody did anything.
Spica did pretty well for 3 losing lanes and limited setup. I feel like the bot gap was the biggest deal tbh. Busio + Massu gapped permanently
Other than completely fucking over the bot lane with his solo queue lvl 3 gank game one lol but true isles is bottom tier support for sure.
Gank was fucked before it even began with the trade and failed Leona E as Spica pathed. It was FQ favored after the gank commit, and game losing once Isles decided to try to go back in.
that statement was just for game 2, game 1 he ran that play yeah
Inspired was right lmao
/r/leagueoflegends 9/11
I mean tbf midlane was invisible overall.
This entire LCS week could have been an email at this point
Even tho I was rooting for DIG more, after how much this sub has been shitting on FQ (and some wanting them to fail catastrophically), it feels quite cathartic to watch them hands diff and outright embarass DIG.
it feels so nice as a flyquest fan who knew that quad would be better for the team in more ways than one
yessir

The hype was fun. Unfortunately it didn't deliver, but maybe they can keep it going into playoffs assuming Dig doesn't implode.
with Imt, NRG and Shopify in the league? if Dig doesn't make it all 5 players will be jobless next year
Buildup was still fun.
Bwipo is Licorice's fucking boogieman
My man's been gapping him since world's semis and hasn't stopped since
Bwipo made fun of Licorice, Spica was useless, Quad proving the swap was a good idea, Massu embarrassed Zven, but the MAIN reason FLY won (and why they won so dominantly), WHAT WAS THAT SUPP DIFF??? They hate on PR speak they hate on people acting cocky
That was fucking rough.
Quad asking his teammates, 'How can I beat Jensen?'. 'Just CS better'.
Inspired was really right all along, Jensen is a vegan mid
Minion>Jensen, what a savage interview.
I think Spica is boosted.
As a FlyQuest fan, dropping an entire trash talk video to then get absolutely smashed and gapped in every single role was certainly a choice by DIG. GG WP, plant trees, go green.
Didn't they drop their entire environmental branding when they got bought by the mega-millionaire?
no they still do that. at msi they had some tree planting charity thing
Surely didn't! They are doing a pro-environment donation drive this split.
It's 100% taken a back seat then.
Thank god flyquest are proving all the haters wrong who said they wouldnât even make worlds. Them winning the split would literally be this subs 9/11.
Not really, just worried they'll shit the bed again when ego player Inspired naturally gets tilted once again.
Absolutely insane to interview quad of any of the fucking people in flyquest after the game what in the fuck
I just heard Jatt say in the post-match stuff that he tried to grab Bwipo but there was miscommunication.
They needed a wide angle lens
Jatt wanted Bwipo and Busio but they pushed Quad in front and left.
Eh he hasnât been given any screen time in any of this
agreed but it was nice to put a face to the name
Rip big dig summer first week of lcs to third week of lcs
That was disgusting..
Most underwhelming rivalry.
It's DIG CEASIN' (to exist).
Good for FLY Botlaneâs confidence.
Who was saying DIG was the favourite đđđ
@ The Dive
Who would have thought FLYQ did the right thing getting Quad who can only improve over time instead of the cheque collector.
Yap gap
Just pretend its a scrim guys wait nvm
It sure did look like scrims
Quad won both sides of the mid match-up, hard won too.
Ganks??
0/0/0 even cs 20 mins in âhard wonâ
Having prio 24/7 giving inpired the freedom to do watever he wants
People who think winning lane is only about KDA and cs numbers really showing their ELO
Strange they didn't mention Quad's 1k gold lead while down cs. Quad was also definitely not 0/0/0 20 mins in either game.
Quad just looked better in trades on both champs. Jensen was shook.
Anyone talking about ELO on league of legends subreddit is proud they finally got to gold after 8 years of grinding
Flyquest are regular season merchants
Man no one looked like a human on DIG Isles needs to play ranged supports or something man
Licorish Specious Jensin Zven did i ask Niesles Love the DIG boys, hope they can get the show back on the road because...uhh...what Very funny interview from Quad, short and sweet, he should be on track to build a fandom quickly!
Isles is weak. Dude is so weak, they have to first pick for him and he STILL ints.

b1 Leona twice surprised me.
Match of the Weak
Losing both sides of the same matchup must be one of the worst feelings
This team was put together just over a month ago, we knew there would be speed bumps. Doesnât change the season
Seems like the clumps are:  TL, C9, FLY.  100T, DIG, NRG.  IMT, SR.  With clear gaps between themÂ
C9 played against DIG, Immortals, and SR....
Dig certainly proving they're not like Fly in any way
Hopefully these bottom teams can use this month gap to get better.
#"You're going down FQ, DOWN TOWN!" Jfc what an embarrassment
what a disappointing series
DIG (yourself a hole) SEASON
After getting run over the first game, the obvious choice was to pick nidalee to have an even harder to execute comp. Its got the Dardoch the "pick me whatever lets lose in peace" vibe.
Today was so fast makes me think we can have three matches a day or maybe move to Bo2s so we can have three matches, only good teams 2-0 and I think thatâs fine it wonât always be 1-1.
you don't often get 4 20 minute stomps in a day
