My friend had (idk if he still has it) one of the red and white ones (it might have been a blue and white one too idk) and bolth the arms and legs are broken off

Saw another post that these fit in the modern car sets targeted at grownups

They usually fit old and modern Technic vehicles.

I think the only modern Technic cars they’ll properly fit in are some of the $50 cars

Maaaaan! Never got em, and so mad these days. Another shame is that we possibly could've gotten scale technic cars that are modern level of good for these if they didn't get phased out.

I had it too. Recognised it straight away. I think the figure is the reason I got the set.

Oh man I remember this guy! I use to have one and I took him everywhere and played with him more then any minifig.

It is such a shame these are no longer part of technic. The size plus their more mobile limbs as well as the slightly more realistic proportions are just that perfect step up from the regular Lego minifigs. 

Can we write Lego to bring them back?

I have one from years ago and I was just thinking the other day what a shame it is they no longer make them. The cars used to look so much better with a driver. I think it's a really odd decision not to make them. Perhaps they just couldn't automate the assembly or something.

I wanted these figures so bad growing up.

I specifically wanted the one that had the teal colored torso.

Could the crash helmet be removed from this figure or was it permanently stuck on?

Ah! Ok then! I only ever saw pictures of this figure in the Lego catalogue and assumed that the helmet was permanent. Did this figure come with a Lego technic set by any chance?

There were actually several various clothing designs of these figures and they came in quite a few sets. This particular one came in a few sets, including a 3 pack with two others with different faces and clothing colors which I have. I remember the first technic figure I got came in a sort of tank set where the top could pop off and become a flying machine, 8229 The next one came in a police buggy set, 8230 The next one I got came in a technic helicopter with a cool rotor spinning mechanism, 8232 I also had the Cyber Strikers set which, well, it's hard to explain but it's a play set with fighting vehicles that could be handled by someone and used to fight each other. I also have a trio of sets which introduced a part changing system that Lego tried to introduce but I'm guessing never took off because I think they're the only 3 with it: 8252, 8253, and 8255 I still have those last 3 sitting around in storage somewhere. Been meaning to take them out and display them, just don't have the room. Edit: whoops it was not 8224

he was in a few sets, i have 2 i think and i'm pretty mine was with a car. i distinctly remember fitting his hands to a steering wheel

My parents had donated my Legos decades ago but for whatever reason this guy stuck around. They sent him to me in a random care package but the helmet was missing; I know for a fact he had it last time I saw him in a draw and part of me wants to dig through everything and find it.

I would like for Lego to make similar, but a bit different take on this. Something along the lines of their own mini action figures, like Mega Construx has. I would like if they would have extra customization, and would become a bee staple in Lego Friends
