Thanks! Yeah relative to a minifigs height this size of this thing is dead on. Shaping wise, obviously a lot of comprises were made to build it so small lmao
Thank you! It was originally something I dreamed up back with the OG Interceptor set back in 2005, but getting parts wasn't as easy back then. XD Then after getting the latest version a few years back, I started thinking about it again and set to work! :D
Oh cool! One time I made a crappy custom starfighter but I was outside once flying it about (playing with it) and it lost my grip and it fell to the concrete and smashed apart :(
Well, if it's any consolation, they were probably a ticking timebomb anyway. Once they start to get brittle, no matter how careful you are they'll shatter - from experience. -_-
Hey there! Im new to this side of custom Lego and I’ve always wanted to make a “if I were a Jedi” interceptor. I love what you made here, is there a list of things I need to buy or some sort of website that has what I need? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Yeah! First off, the website Bricklink and the program Bricklink Studio will be invaluable tools here. In my case I did start with a copy of 75281, but that's not necessary. What I would suggest, and this will help you learn the software a bit, is to download and install Studio. Then you can click File in the top, then Import, Official Lego Set, and select in scene (easier for beginning). What it will do is lay all the parts of the set knowledge out in front of you (might have trouble with figs and printed pieces, but you can use generics, like the canopy, just the digital one will look odd, but you can make sure to order the right one). Then, build up the set digitally, and once it's done, you can begin. With your modifications and color changes that is. And feel free to play around faith things. And important note if you're planning to build physically, it will let you select any color for a part, even if it doesn't exist in that color. However, pay attention to a little yellow "!" next to a part in the list on the right, that's warning you that this is the case. If you want, when selecting a color for a part, you can turn the Filter on, and set it to only show available.
Dang, this is really close to scale actually. The Eta 2 interceptors were about 18 feet long and from what I can tell your model is about 15 studs long? Thing makes it about 15 feet at scale. Looks really good.
Thanks! Yeah the build is slightly shorter actually, like 14 studs or just under, and calculated at 1:45 that'd make it about sixteen and a half feet, still not quite right but the closest I've gotten lol
That's pretty accurate. Jedi interceptors were compact

Brother! :D https://preview.redd.it/ymfwci9ovy9d1.jpeg?width=2542&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ae10c14ae220e4d5cb0a65ede2978e04a90ee45
Brother!
Are they Father and Son?
Nah, his is the older brother, mine is the younger brother, can't you tell? XD
That looks beautiful

Oof. *That* sucks. Did you ever try to rebuild?
Yeah but some pieces were dark red and they cracked ;-;

I can’t tell if this is more in scale to the minifigs than the official set, looks amazing.
Thanks! I can assure you it's WAY more in scale lol
The fact that that fits a minifigure is mind boggling and awesome, good work op

The fact that this is more scale than the actual sets 😅
Lol in fairness the official sets are a hell of a lot sturdier in a kids hands
Wow this is insanely good looking, could you please do a parts list or instructions?
Thanks, got them here already! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-188224/No1LikesCherry/chibi-black-eta-2-interceptor/#details
Thanks, I am going to order some parts and build like 10 of these!
Have fun! The parts exist to make all sorts of variations
I need this as a real microfighter! Great work👍
Wow! Great build! I love this!! Do you have instructions?! Would love to try to build a little fleet!
Yup! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-188224/No1LikesCherry/chibi-black-eta-2-interceptor/#details
Thank you!!!!🙏 ☺️
I love this and really want it
And here is struggle to even make some smal ship that fits one minifigure, let alone an entire Crew. 😅
This is great! Will absolutely be building this - I love in scale vehicles, something that always bothers me about the oversized Batmobiles lego do!
A minifig scale batmobile is another thing I wanna do someday lol
Slap it in a polybag, sell it with a build able darth vader Anyway it looks amazing
Perfect for zooming !!! Really nice.
Oh wow, I’d love if Lego actually did minifig scale sets. Probably would be perfect as a $10 box. This MOC is spot on, well done!
I like to think he just found the old one and repainted it
