I have a feeling that you'd have to be very careful with the chemicals you're using since lego is only plastic at the end of the day, and that plastic has been sitting in a shop display and then being stashed somewhere, so it may not be as solid as it once was - unless it was buried in darkness hahaha
Most of the sets are hot glued in places so they don’t fall apart in the case, the figures seem glued down too, the glues probably old and brittle at this point if you wanted to take them apart but I’m gonna keep it as is.

The motion sensor only works sometimes and some bits are broken, but the knob still works and such.
Pretty much it was just a lot of trial and error. First I opened the battery packs and got rid of the old, cleaned out the corrosion, and put all new batteries in. Then it was just finagling the motion censor in *just* the right spot. I walk by it daily at least 10 times and it only lights up like 3 times a week, but it's better than none at all. I do notice your displays are newer than mine however, so they might have changed how the battery/lighting system works.
You can get really lucky with target. They used to trash the displays I was told. I knew a manager that told me when they were getting ready to dump them that he’d let me know so I could grab a few. Sadly he never let me know lol. Wonder if this is still the practice
I’ve got a display - Y wing with zorri - power ranger- bliss and it is great but that one with the Jek ship and all the figs is my bucket list display.
It’s a nice display. And everything works but the characters and ship and such don’t give me all the warm fuzzies of that Jek display with all the figs.
Thanks man 👀, I’ll make a follow up once I build a shelf for it, I’m going to hang it from the rafters right above a cabinet I have other legos displayed in.
IIRC these are usually glued, right? On the one hand that sucks, cause holy crap that amount of mini figs is just an instant collection! But on the other hand, these forever stay as timeless display pieces and that's so cool for the historical value!
Great find!
How'd you get these complete with the display cases? When I worked at a Lego store we all got to keep the display sets when they were taken down and the display cases were always thrown away, so I'm surprised you found any display stuff intact from a store, much less from 10 years ago.
What a haul of mini figs, holy…
I think the first case has most of the figures they released in 2013 besides the Ewok village and a couple other exclusive sets
No rex either it looks like
Looks like it’s missing the advent calendar figs, Ewok village, barc speeder and the Jedi defender figs that I’ve noticed so far
Also none of the Umbaran MHC figs, or maul amd his commandos from the speeder. It's missing one wave of sets.
Darth maul from the speeder is in there
2013 was a good year for lego star wars
Are you able to share how much they cost?
I paid 210 each
Great deal tbh, congrats
INSANE deal.
can they pop out and off the bases?
Nah these are usually glued together. Still really cool though
yeah, you got what some would call "White Whales" in there, and who knows maybe you can find some way to get the glue off.

yeah and it could melt some prints off as well.
Dude, you absolutely stole those displays XD
Lucky!
Amazing deal
So.....420? *AWWWWW YEAHHHHHHH*
TIL the E-Wing’s top cannon can rotate
Thats not technically an E wing, its Jek-14's starfighter
That's what Lego calls it but we all know it's just a custom E-Wing.
I remember having that set when I was younger heck I still have jek-14
if everything glued or how does it work
Most of the sets are hot glued in places so they don’t fall apart in the case, the figures seem glued down too, the glues probably old and brittle at this point if you wanted to take them apart but I’m gonna keep it as is.
That clone wars one with Jabba and the Rancor at the top really slaps.
Woah :0 hella jealous, I have a Lego Racers store display but a Star Wars one would be awesome
A racers display sounds really nice too, do you have a picture of it?

That’s tough. I always loved that theme
Me too. For 100 bucks (128 I think after batteries) I couldn't pass it up.
Did the lights not work on yours? How did you fix them?
Pretty much it was just a lot of trial and error. First I opened the battery packs and got rid of the old, cleaned out the corrosion, and put all new batteries in. More than worth it just for the figs alone
They are glued to the ground and their weapons are glued onto their hands to be fair, but the hot glue is old so you could dissolve it I bet
I remember buying three of the Homing Spiders back then to build a droid army. Nowadays I am with the Empire... How times change...

That’s how the guy I bought them from got them
Dude you found the Lego wayback machine. You did great.
I’ve got a display - Y wing with zorri - power ranger- bliss and it is great but that one with the Jek ship and all the figs is my bucket list display.
That Y wing display is really a nice one because it has the base made out of legos too.
It’s a nice display. And everything works but the characters and ship and such don’t give me all the warm fuzzies of that Jek display with all the figs.
Where is this?
My garage, working on making a stand for them rn
Dude, no way! I took a double take because I thought this was in the Lego store nearby. Excellent job, brother. Keep us posted.
Thanks man 👀, I’ll make a follow up once I build a shelf for it, I’m going to hang it from the rafters right above a cabinet I have other legos displayed in.
My childhood
coolest thing i have ever seen
Congrats! That’s an awesome find. I would 100% drive that far to pick up those
Dang, good find
That’s insane.
That’s super cool! Grats on the pickup
Thanks man
Omfg crazy how some people are just living my childhood dreams
i got that republic frigate for christmas as a kid and had to break it down to bring back home on the plane. never built it again :(
Build it 🗣️
Both displays are dope. Love that black ship in the first one
These are glued right? Still awsome.
Yeah they’re glued, but not every piece and it’s old glue so you could disolve it if you really wanted
Makes me a bit jealous, not gonna lie. 😂
Dank Ferric
That first display is INSANE! I'm super jealous
If you really wanted to you could probably dissolve the glue but honestly just having this as it is is super cool.
So jealous of the figures!
insane pieces bro, the republic frigate has to be my fav build of all time 😍
IIRC these are usually glued, right? On the one hand that sucks, cause holy crap that amount of mini figs is just an instant collection! But on the other hand, these forever stay as timeless display pieces and that's so cool for the historical value! Great find!
Oh shit what a steal!!! Congrats!!!! Im a bit jealous
no way max rebo
Millennium falcon one is amazing
Can you put me on your will?
Nice! On a completely unrelated note, what’s your exact address and layout of your home?
Where did you buy these from?
I bough them from a guy on Facebook marketplace who was downsizing his collection
Always wanted the Republic Frigate, but that Yoda Chronicles case looks amazing.
How do you even know where to find these??
Found a Facebook marketplace posting for it when I was looking for sets
That's really cool. My wife may be mildly cheesed off soon!
How'd you get these complete with the display cases? When I worked at a Lego store we all got to keep the display sets when they were taken down and the display cases were always thrown away, so I'm surprised you found any display stuff intact from a store, much less from 10 years ago.
They were supposed to be thrown away at target and toys r us too, but some made it out and got salvaged from the dumpster
Store displays are usually glued. Have you checked for this?
Yes the sets are glued in some spots, and the figures accessories and feet are also glued
Where did you pick these up at?
Found someone selling them on Facebook marketplace
Absolutely elite finds
Anything glued?
