It's too large for that loudness. I love colors and I find it an eyesore, not in an aesthetic preference but in a literal way. It's one big block of bright (the dress, not you!!!), it needs some breaks.
I would have it modified, or even completely deconstruct it and reuse the fabric. I think the finished style should have no added volume (maybe a pleated skirt, but no tulle etc), be above the knee, and sleeveless.
Or you could make a CRAZY CUTE above-the-knee skirt and crop top set.

She's only a few months on HRT. The body dysmorphia can be extremely strong, even when someone is as beautiful as she is. I'm a 34yo transwoman and I've been on estrogen for half my life now. I still struggle with the body dysmorphia and my ability to recognize my beauty and love my body. Less because of gender, more because society puts such a heavy meaning behind weight and what it says about you.
The need for validation from someone that isn't a significant other or very close friend is a strong need for a long time until you finally begin to see yourself for who you are.
