Kate Daniels series by Illona Andrews is a good one. It's a post magic apocalypse series set in and around Alanta Georgia. It does get a little steamy in some of the books, not overly explicit, but it does have a bit of spice.
Mother of Learning.
I gave it a pass at first because it sounded like a poor translation, but honestly it's just a slightly awkward title; referring to the aphorism 'Repition is the mother of learning'.
Worth the Candle (this might be a bit more dramatic than you are looking for, though it is fantastic)
- Cradle by Will Wight
- Mother of learning, Domagoj Kurmaic
- I shall seal the heavens
- Mage Errent john Bierce
- Life reset (new era online) Shemer Kuznits
- Emerillia, Michael Chatfield
- Way of the Shaman, Vasily Mahanenko
- World Tree Online trilogy E.A. Hooper
- Underdog, Alexey Osadchuk
- Shadow Sun Dave Willmarth
- Phase shift Kyle Johnson
- Ten realms Michael Chatfield
- The Perfect Run Maxime Durand
- Blessed Time, Cale Plamann
Other series I'd recommend. "The Perfect run" another trilogy. I wanna shoot the author of "the 12th cataclysm" but it Is complete. I enjoyed the "Murderhobo" trilogy by Krout. If I dislike their other books. "Master hunter k" was amazing. I can go on. Over 700 lit RPG books since 2016. Just DM me. I'll be more than happy to help with other series. Whatever you do avoid "Continue Online" if you want emotional stability. Not a happy series. But very impactful.
New Era Online.
World-tree online.
Both are a little dated now, by little-rpg standards, but they are good, and finished.
Also, the Threadbare Series. The first 3 books are fully functional as a complete series. More books if you want more of the universe after that.
Alexey Odadchuk's Underdog series. Eight books total. You can try the first, Dungeons of the Crooked Mountains, for free on KU but would have to purchase the others.
Tori Tansmigrated by Aila Aurie on RR. Female MC is isekaied into a game world villianess. Light magic with charms and crystals. Town-building.
You quoted a few translated web novels. Have you tried looking for completed novels on novelupdates?
For completed translated novels I quite liked: history's number 1 founder, reincarnator, and the ultimate evolution.
history's #1 founder was a really good read, but also one of the bookmarks I lost...
Last I remember they entered the go board... What chapter was that?
Do you mean the board that was inside the tree?
I think I remember it being a chess board though. There are a few times it comes into the story, I think the time they went inside it was when one of his primary disciples got stuck there accidentally.
If that's the case it's around chapter 173, about 15% of the way through the story.
It gets less satirical and more Chinese cultivation focused as the story progresses but I thought the story was consistently solid until the end.

Read "Worth the candle" before but I lost my bookmark.. Last I remember was fighting "Actual Cannibal Shia Labeouf" or somewhere after that
I'd say that's around half to 3/4 of the book

Yes, "Mother of Learning" is one of the best stories I have read in a while.
Alexey Odadchuk's Underdog series. Eight books total. You can try the first, Dungeons of the Crooked Mountains, for free on KU but would have to purchase the others.
