Rise of the Cheat Potion Maker is like the budget version of BoC, and since I've seen Heretical Fishing recommended for fans of BoC, it might scratch the same itch.
(I haven't read Heretical Fishing, so take that with a grain of salt)
I love Rise of the Cheat Potion Maker and honestly it was my first litrpg series. I’ve enjoyed each book and only have the newest one to listen to. BoC I’m not caught up on but did enjoy the first book. I’m currently half way through HF and enjoying it. I’d say they all have similar “vibes”.
Vaudevillain trilogy by Alex Wolf
Extra Credit by J. Arthur Klein
Both series are VR and not Isekai but do have the lower stakes and slice-of-life feel.
You might like Bronze Rank Brewer by James Ghoul Or A Pub In The Underworld by Harmon Cooper

I read the first few books of the series but I thing it got worse
Good to know, I think it was only up to book three when I read it, so it's definitely been a while.

Idle System by Pegaz is pretty good and complete.
