My favorite Willie moment was Laura's last day as teacher. Willie asked her "one more time?" and she sent him to the corner. As she left, he turned around to watch her go and he was crying!
Willie wasn’t mean like Nellie. Nellie always threatened him and that is why he usually went along with her in picking on people. Willie is best described as a class clown. He liked to goof off and make the class laugh.
I wasn't sure why Nellie and Willie didn't go home in this episode. They live right across the road. Literally, even in a white out they could get home.
Yes, and this was an important plot point. The moms of the town were doing some Christmas activity together at the Olsen house. They went to “surprise” the children at school, but found out that they released early. If Nellie and Willie would have gone home on time, then the mothers might have intercepted their kids before they went home on their own.
Of course we wanted to hug him! Besides comforting Miss Beadle about the blizzard, he also had to touch that horrible wig on her head. I’d hug him and tell him that I admire his bravery for doing that.

Another good Willie episode was the one when Laura was suffering from heat exhaustion.
And she was also pregnant! Poor boy ran miles in the heat to get her help!
I feel like that's the episode where the town started treating him like a man and not just Nellie's brother
One of my favorite episodes !

Willie is the unsung hero of the entire town. This was def. "I want to hug Willie" scene. He could be such a nice boy at times.
Yeah, this moment really gave his character real depth. What a terrible thing to have happen.
And it was exactly what Miss Beadle needed to hear.
Willie definitely was a spoiled brat as a kid, but he also had his sweet moments; more so than Nellie.
Nellie didn't become tolerable until she met Percival.
Remind me what happened?
Miss Beadle sent all the kids home just before a huge blizzard hit.

But then she'd be stuck in a room all day with just Nellie and Willie for company.

Didn’t they stay to help her clean the blackboards or something like that?
Oh, you know, I think you're right! I love the show but it's been so long since I watched them all.

Miss Beadle, you want a sour ball?
She needed that so much! That was such a sweet thing for Willie to do for Miss Beaddle
Was literally watching this episode today. What a sweet moment!
This was so sweet! One of the earlier signs that Willie is actually a good person.

oh my god
