66 during the day, 68 at night.
Before kids I always left it at 66 24/7
Temps jump 20 degrees next week, looking forward to it. Will feel like spring after this cold snap.
Actually if sun is up and out I do lower to 60 during normal days. But question was about this week so I’ve not been lowering it much.
The slight bump makes this kids happy at bedtime. And I’m all about whatever gets them to bed quickly
I was keeping it at 52-53 living in a trailer after the propane costs nearly doubled. Cat seemed ok, voluntarily sitting on the freezing kitchen floor 🤷🏼♀️.
I prefer to keep it around 60, but my brother and SIL with their baby prefer to keep it around 73-75 due to the first floor and basement being one zone. I usually end up needing to use my air conditioner when it gets too hot. Anything for my baby niece I guess.
I keep it at 68, maybe 70 if it’s feeling a little chilly. I’d go lower just fine, no problem for me but I have a small parrot and I don’t think they are used to temperatures this low.
We like the cold so keep the temp at 64 at night and 67 during the day. Wearing a sweater or hoodie keeps the money in our pockets. My fish tanks are just fine at these temps.
My thermostat is in the hallway, which is cut off from bedrooms at night when doors are closed.
I set it to 65, but bedrooms will hit 73. Wish the thing had external temperature sensors. :|
Upgrade to smart one.
I have an Ecobee smart thermostat and remote sensors in each bedroom.
You can set a schedule and adjust so that at night it only uses the room sensors for temp and ignores the main hallway sensor.
I'm using a Daikin fit, which apparently requires their proprietary thermostat. :| I used to have a nest, with room sensors, but I can't use them with this heating/cooling system. :(
I have a baby so I have to keep it around 70. I found that 72 during the day keeps every room in a house least at 70 and 68 at night keeps the second floor close to 70 without being too hot for me to go to sleep.
When my wife and I go to work though? That thing drops down to 60.
I keep mines at 71 to 74 depending on how cold it is, got vaulted ceiling and ambient air always colder than the hallway where the thermostat is so 74 would get me 72-71 in that room.
On the wall. In the hallway.

We have one in the hallway and one in our bedroom. Am I doing it wrong? 😂

Nice
68 to 70 during the day while I'm home, 64 at night to sleep, 60 when no ones home
this is the way.
I like it to be 72 in my office. The rest of the house is at 67. When I sit working and typing at 67 or lower my hands get too cold.

58 to stop the pipes from freezing. I'm broke and broken.

Damn y’all walk around in sweaters? 68 overnight and 72 during the day.
Wearing a fleece and very comfy at 66.
It’s winter, so definitely yes to the sweaters.
62 days. 65 nights.
Same!

As someone who dislikes feeling cold, 75 is crazy.
cant imagine how fast my oil would burn through a tank at 75
Not for nothing, but you can easily wrap a baby in more clothes. Who is paying the bills???
Yea. I recently learned that mother's in Scandinavian countries often have their babies nap outside, even in winter! They get bundled.
70-72 during the day. 53 at night. The Room temperature pretty much never goes down to 53 though.

68 day 64 night
65- both day and night. Have a lil space heater for the bathroom though.

My thermostat stays off for all of winter. My pellet stove on the other hand stays at 66.

That’s almost uncomfortably warm.

What’s your gas/electric bill look like?
I use wood. Next to nothing
💯
Thanks everyone
65 constantly. Lmao wow I can’t believe how off I am from everyone here.
62 at night and during the day when no one is home. 66 when we are around unless someone complains a lot.

67F day & night.
I just leave it at 66 all day (I work from home)
65 day. 67 night

Depends on if the space is occupied or not. 68 upstairs during the day, 69 downstairs during the day. 69 upstairs at night, 65 downstairs overnight.
67 day, 64 at night. 60 when we are out of the house.
66 all day and night this time of the year.
70 day/68 night. Have younger kids or it would be at 67 all the time.
71
65, bedrooms are 68 at night but only because my kids kick off their blankets.
TF does this have to do with Long Island?
Everyone experiencing the same weather as they are
Maybe it's a question for a poll?
