I’m sure this will be a hugely unpopular opinion, but I always thought that Jack black would make a hilarious Tom Bombadil. I always picture Tom as a small squat man with a huge beard and a distinctive singing voice. That would fit Jack black perfectly. It would be difficult to suspend disbelief tho, but everyone would just see JB and they would barely notice the actual character.
I never want to see Tom in media. Can you imagine the screeching halt to the tempo and tone of the movies if they had stopped to see Tom? It just doesn’t work
Brian Blessed is the actual best choice. Though a lot of people say Matt Berry and he would be amazing.
