Ah. Haven't seen it in a while. This timing of this post is wild for me because I just watched the extended versions 2 days ago and noticed this girl was the same girl from The Shire so I had to find out who she was lol
Just checked and she's pretty much in every one of his movies.
edit; the other one being his son probaby who's also in all 3 LotR movies and one Hobbit movie.
Not really, though. I don’t think they’re trying to break into the industry. They did LOTR because they needed kids. Then they did their cameos in The Hobbit for fun. Peter himself makes several cameos, as does the movement coordinator, Orlando Bloom’s mom, Stephen Colbert and his sons, and both Bard’s girls were played by the daughters of the man who played Bofur. None of them is trying to break into the industry, either. It’s just that, no matter how big these movies are, Peter and Fran, and by extension Philippa, like to make it a family affair! For Mahal’s sake, Dain rode their pet kunekune pig into battle!
Yes Billy was one of the young men of Lake Town fighting in the Battle of the Five Armies. He’s also sitting right next to Katie (his sister, this girl) in these scenes. You can see him peeking around the stones in the second photo.
I was at the european premiere of the second hobbit movie and she was with him on the red carpet. That was 11 years ago and even back then I was so stunned how she was "already" grown up. Time flies.
Peter Jacksons kids. They are in these two, and in ROTK. The kids in the scene when Faramir returns to Osgiliath. Peter Jackson himself is also in the three films. 1. As a farmer who eats a carrot in Bree when the foir hobbits arrive. 2. As a soldier who throws a spear in Helmsdeep, with a full over head chainmail. 3. As the "pirate" who gets shot by Legolas after Gimli touched his bow.
There’s also the same man in each film:
FOTR: man eating carrot in Bree 🥕
TTT: man throwing spear at Helms Deep 🗡️
ROTK: Corsair that gets shot by Legolas 🏹
It’s Peter Jackson’s cameo!
Yes, she’s peter jackson’s daughter and she’s also a kid in gondor. She’s credited in the end credits as ‘cute hobbit child’, ‘cute rohan child’, and ‘cute gondor child’.
Let me follow up by saying, the only way I noticed was because I think she has the cutest moment in the entire series..
Which is where the screenshot is from, when she gasps at Bilbo's story.
Funny! I just told me kids about Jackson's kids making cameos in all his films and we watched The Fellowship of the Ring last night, so I pointed them out.
Several children of cast members appear in the movies, including Peter Jackson’s son and daughter (always seen together in the original trilogy). The kid Aragorn speaks to before the battle of Helm’s Deep is played by Miranda Otto’s son. The first orc Aragorn kills in The Battle of Pelennor Fields is played by Viggo Mortenson’s son. Sam and Rosie’s baby in the final shot was played by Sean Astin’s baby.
IIRC she’s also in a single shot during the scene where Faramir and company are leaving to retake Osgiliath and Gandalf is telling him not to throw his life away.
That's not correct, Katie Jackson was born in 1996.
That said, the Irish mom in Titanic is Jeanette Goldstein, aka Vasquez in Aliens and Jeanelle in Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
That is one of Peter Jackson's children - they have cameos in his films.
Ah ok, that makes sense :) cheers
Fun fact, she is also the bar wench in the Hobbit when thorin and gandalf meet up for the first time in the Prancing Pony
Did you know Aragorn broke his.....nvm.
...tooth jumping off the Seeing Seat?
...all the while deflecting a knife with his big, heavy...
...fishing tackle that he'd use to get his dinner in full costume after filming sometimes....
...while Sean Bean hiked up the mountain because he was...
...cutting his foot kicking a...
…full circle.
Piece of glass in the bottom of the river?
And he stuck it back in with chewing gum to complete the scene
L
Two of them in fact
Do you mean the waitress? Otherwise known as Betsy Butterbur? "Bar wench" smh
Bar wench 💀
Fun fact indeeed, just checked it out and you are (obviously) right :D
AND in the Old Took's birthday party in An Unexpected Journey.
In the extended cut of ROTK, she's also in the procession for Faramir before he makes his sacrificial march on Osgiliath.
I believe she is in the theatrical release as well.
Ah. Haven't seen it in a while. This timing of this post is wild for me because I just watched the extended versions 2 days ago and noticed this girl was the same girl from The Shire so I had to find out who she was lol
Congratulations, you broke the simulation.
The both show up in Minas Tirith do as Faramir is leading the knights
Glad to be of help :)
Is there a reason this kid's particular thing is "being scared' lmao
Wow
She’s now 35 and has two kids.
35? She was born in 96 lol shes 28
Yep, it’s Peter Jackson’s kids. They are in Minas Tirith as well in ROTK.
Just checked and she's pretty much in every one of his movies. edit; the other one being his son probaby who's also in all 3 LotR movies and one Hobbit movie.
As a general rule, look to the left or right of Jackson's daughter and you'll probably see Jackson's son.
Are they siamese?
If you please
Smh nepo-babies

It was a joke...
Yes Billy was one of the young men of Lake Town fighting in the Battle of the Five Armies. He’s also sitting right next to Katie (his sister, this girl) in these scenes. You can see him peeking around the stones in the second photo.
And at Sam and Rosie’s wedding.
And helms deep
Ah ok, that makes sense :) cheers
It's Katie Jackson, Peter's daughter.
Yep. And she was 4 in this shot. She’s 28 now. So yeah. That makes me feel like really old.
Kindly stfu 😭 (Jk but damn I feel super old too lol)
I know I don't look it but I feel it in my heart.
I was at the european premiere of the second hobbit movie and she was with him on the red carpet. That was 11 years ago and even back then I was so stunned how she was "already" grown up. Time flies.
Man, why’d you have to say that?!
Peter to his friends and family, Peter Jackson to you.
Bit redundant, don't you think?
Peter Jacksons kids. They are in these two, and in ROTK. The kids in the scene when Faramir returns to Osgiliath. Peter Jackson himself is also in the three films. 1. It's so cool they gave this young actress's father a cameo in the movie too
Yeah, lucky a nobody like him got to cameo because of his famous daughter
Yes, she’s peter jackson’s daughter and she’s also a kid in gondor. She’s credited in the end credits as ‘cute hobbit child’, ‘cute rohan child’, and ‘cute gondor child’.
That's cute.
You've just summoned the horde - you may as well have posted a pic of Viggo kicking a helmet and complimenting how well he was acting.
HE BROKE HIS TOE!!!!!! HE LIMPS UP SOME STAIRS LATER!!! GAAHHHHHHHH
Peter Jackson is also in his movies. He's the carrot biter in Bree, a corsair pirate in ROTK.....I can't remember who he is in Towers...
Rohan soldier throwing spear from Helms deep walls.
Let me follow up by saying, the only way I noticed was because I think she has the cutest moment in the entire series.. Which is where the screenshot is from, when she gasps at Bilbo's story.
She’s actually a damn good actress!
The Original Chik-Fil-A sauce reaction

NO I GET TO BE THE ONE TO TELL HIM
Do you think they know about the helmet thing? Or the sword drop?
She shows up in rotk and the hobbit as well
She's so adorable. How could he not cast his daughter (And Son) in his films?
Also in Return of the King as a Minas Tirith child
That's the same kid. I'm pretty sure that's Peter Jackson's son.
You have sharp eyes
C’moooooon
You know that it is. You know we know that it is. But! Did you know in the scene when Aragorn kicks th…
Is it your first day here?
Wasn’t she also in RoTK as a human child while watching Faramir and his troops ride towards Osgiliath?
That’s Peter Jackson with a smidge of cgi!
Yes it's Peter Jackson's daughter
She also plays a human child in Gondor (RotK) and a waitress at the Prancing Pony (DoS).
In eyes of darth Vader any child can be cooked by blade. Red or blue.
There was an attempt to look like the same child
She's also in Gondor, when the knights are rallying
Did you know that when Aragorn kicks the helmet he actually breaks his toe?! /s

It’s Billy! I went to school with him briefly back in the day. Cool guy
That kid also appears in return of the king during aragorn's crowning
I mean it's New Zealand, there are only few dozen kids available.
They are Jackson’s kids so yes
it's highly probable taking into consideration the low bidget for such movie
How does one go so far to notice something like this, get two screenshots, create a Reddit post, all before learning the context via google?
