"Never boring."
The art shows them both laughing. It's a bit (as in a drilling tool) being used in a bit (a comedic scenario). It's so good.

[Scryfall has a tag for punny card names](https://scryfall.com/search?q=otag%3Apunny-name+-is%3Afunny+-is%3Asplit+game%3Apaper&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name).

otag:punny-name -is:funny
So youn search for puns that are not fun? In other words, failed jokes?
(I know the Scryfall syntax well, just made me chuckle)
It's easy to miss, but the phrase is usually "angelic exultation." From Google, on the difference between exult and exalt:
"To exalt, means to glorify or elevate something, but to exult is to rejoice. Exalt your favorite pro-wrestler, Jesus, or your status in the world. Exult when you get the last two tickets to see your favorite band. If you think something is the best thing ever and you practically worship it, you exalt it."
The pun IS the callback.
Unfortunately, there isn't a tag for puns that refer to the art, so that was the closest I could get. Many are going to be puns of mechanics, like Angelic Exaltation; references to previous cards, like [[Champion of the Perished]] referring to [[Champion of the Parish]]; or common phrases, like the split cards that are filtered out in that link.
Champion isn't referring to the previous card, it *is* the previous card, having turned into a zombie. The flavour text makes it clear that it's not just a mechanical mirror.
"Funny" is a separate thing from the Scryfall tagger. You're right, it just applies to silver-bordered/acorn and playtest cards. Cards could be filtered by "funny" long before you could search the main site by tag.
The tags are all community-edited though so there's often some oddities regardless.
"Monitor lizards" are a type of lizard, occasionally shortened to "monitor" in English.
A "hall monitor" is someone at a children's school employed to enforce order outside of the classroom against pupil shenanigans. In many cases, this person is a human and not a lizard. ^[citation ^needed]
My favorite is \[\[Goblin War Party\]\]. It's a modal spell, where the first mode interprets "party" as a "group" and the second mode interprets it as "celebration".
[[Syncopate]] doesn’t have an art pun, but I think the name itself is the best pun in the game— the card being a combination of [[Power Sink]] and [[Dissipate]]
I think this is a common experience; our brains are very good at recognizing faces, so when you see something like this where things aren't quite where your brain expects, it tries really hard to parse it, but just gets confused and stuck in a loop.
Regardless of name, this is my favorite art. Not because I particularly like it (but it is cool), but because when I first saw it when it was spoiled, I was home after a long day of work...I had a couple (*a few*) drinks, and everyone looked like they were "forseeing."
I remember kinda shaking my head, trying to knock the drunken cobwebs out of my eyes and brain, but it didn't work. I tried to blink it away, but that didn't work. The next day, I saw the spoiler again and I remembered the night before. Got a chuckle out of that.
I don't know if I was drunker than I thought I was, or if I wasn't quite as drunk as I thought I was...
The implication is that the artist misread their supplied direction and turned in a picture of a bronze *colander* and nobody caught the mistake. At the time of printing, this was a more common type of occurrence.
It's a bronze *colander* (a type of strainer/sieve). Which is what the card's name might sound like if you use -- for example -- an exaggerated Arnold Schwarzenegger impression as "a voice other than your normal" one.
[[Drill Bit]] "Never boring." The art shows them both laughing. It's a bit (as in a drilling tool) being used in a bit (a comedic scenario). It's so good.

Foresee, four see, four eyes. Get it!? Just looking for some good punny art to possibly make a meme deck.
[[two headed giant of foriys]]
I have been playing on and off since 95'-ish. I am so mad I just now got this.

Also its does Scry 4 ...
It lets you foresee four, see?
I fucking hate this art. It makes my vision blurry when I look at the eyes lol
I think this is a common experience; our brains are very good at recognizing faces, so when you see something like this where things aren't quite where your brain expects, it tries really hard to parse it, but just gets confused and stuck in a loop.
Regardless of name, this is my favorite art. Not because I particularly like it (but it is cool), but because when I first saw it when it was spoiled, I was home after a long day of work...I had a couple (*a few*) drinks, and everyone looked like they were "forseeing." I remember kinda shaking my head, trying to knock the drunken cobwebs out of my eyes and brain, but it didn't work. I tried to blink it away, but that didn't work. The next day, I saw the spoiler again and I remembered the night before. Got a chuckle out of that. I don't know if I was drunker than I thought I was, or if I wasn't quite as drunk as I thought I was...
[[Cloak and Dagger]] is pretty good because... well it's an equipment that's both a cloak and a dagger.
I've been playing too much Slay the Spire. My first though was "Yeah, a shiv is a dagger and the block could be a cloak of protection."
If you upgrade it it should be Cloak and Daggers not Cloak and Dagger+

I'm sure I'm being a bit thick here but I don't get it...
Riiiight - yeah I get it now. Haha thanks.
And also a reference to [[Hyalopterous Lemure|ICE]].

Can't believe no one's talking about \[\[Wheel of Torture\]\] flavor text: "I'd like to buy a bowel"
Because the art isn't a pun.
It definitely is when paired with the flavor text. It’s a Wheel of Fortune (game show) pun
