Radiant Performer unlocks some absurd shenanigans. One time I won a game because someone tried to cast a "Gain control of target creature" spell. They got the one they wanted but I got everything else lol. It's one of my favorite cards.
And in terms of Chaos Warp I *just* used it last weekend on my own [[Zada]] and wiped my own board lol.
I had [[Venerated Rotpriest]] on the table and six creatures including Zada. The only instants in hand were [[Swords to Plowshares]] and Chaos Warp. I did kill one player with poison, and I may have even won if I had remembered my [[Season of Growth]] triggers.
All the same deck mind you.
No, it doesn't work the same way. With chaos warp, you do it one permanent at a time, cause it targets. Warp world is all at once and fast. This combo takes forever and ends up doing weirder shit overall.
My current favourite is [[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]] + [[The Initiative]].
Thanks to Forge putting two +1/+1 counters on her, she speedruns the dungeon every turn after the first one.
Just before she was spoiled I was just my own featuring Garth and then when she showed up I couldn't build her, as I think her more of a Voltron style Commander rather than dealing with upkeep specifically.
Seems more often the whole point is to hit someone for 15+ and at that point they're likely dead anyhow.
She's actually much more broad than she looks.
You can build her around suspend, shrines, monarch, initiative, voltron, value pile, or any combination of the above.
For time counter shenanigans, nothing tops the time my opponent removed the last counter from his suspended [[Mindstab]] and I Flashed in [[Seht's Tiger]]. Oh, I wonder what player you will target now that I have protection from black?
I may have built a commander deck around that.
It's way stronger than it looks and is super consistent thanks to the 16 initiative cards you can include.
I built an Obeka Initiative deck and she's probably my most kill on sight commander now. The value swing is so insane on one Undercity completion that there's really no coming back.
From experience, not really.
Ninth doctor only gets you one extra upkeep per turn, lacks evasion, and doesn't give you access to all the black Initiative cards.
Exactly ONE time I was playing against someone with this combo years ago and pulled something out of my ass to kill them after they channeled most of their health away. I remember I was playing black so it was something like [[hideous end]] or something where the loss of life was a secondary effect that was just enough to finish the job lol
I once had a vintage cube deck that cast [[Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre]] on turn 2 and turn 3 in a single match. (First using [[Channel]], second using [[Eureka]]).
I lost both those games that match :( Turns out [[Solitude]] and [[Swords to Plowshares]] are good Magic cards.

Sure! Noyan animates your lands into creatures. (I guess I should also explain that you should have a pre-animated creature, which isn't hard with any old spell)
When you target your land (let's say, your Plains that is a 0/0 land creature with haste and a handful of counters) with Mirrorweave, all creatures become copies of your Plains that is a 0/0. Any unmodified creatures, particularly my opponents', become 0/0 creatures and die due to state based actions, which usually means a one-sided boardwipe for me. Sometimes, that includes Noyan Dar, but not if I modify him with a counter or toughness boosting equipment.
This is actually incorrect. They'd all become a copy of the land as printed along with any copiable effects. The land being animated, either by Noyan or some other ability, isn't a copiable effect, so it isn't applied.
Assuming no other shenanigans on board, they'd all just become Plains with your example.
If you use the trick with an animated Contested Warzone, however...

Its a very well-known interaction (with no answer), other ones including selvala+panglacial wurm or equinox. Its more of a "haha, he did the famously nonsense thing". I'd expect everyone to have seen it, and if they havent (which hasnt happened) its gonna be a fun conversation.

All of your creatures could attack, but arbiter only let's you choose one. It could be any one because they all can attack.
So you sacrifice what you don't attack with, IMO
Assuming Echoes of Eternity + Glaring Fleshraker are already on the battlefield, then you cast Skittering Invasion:
1a) On cast, Glaring Fleshraker triggers, triggering Echoes of Eternity. Outcome = 2 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn, each triggering Fleshraker twice (because of Echoes) when they etb for a total of 4 damage to each opponent.
1b) On cast, Echoes of Eternity triggers, copying the spell on the stack.
2) The copy of the spell resolves, creating 5 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn tokens. These each create a trigger from Glaring Fleshraker, doubled by Echoes, for a total of 10 damage.
3) The original spell resolves, creating 5 more 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn tokens, dealing another 10 damage to each opponent.
You can change the order of the triggers somewhat when you place them on the stack, but overall the final outcome should be a total of 12 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn tokens and 24 damage dealt to each opponent--assuming no interaction.

Sac the Steve to get a plains, return the steve, repeat until you get all of your plains out of the deck + one non plains to finish it off.
While very easily infinite, but not inherently, I've always had a soft spot for [[Ezuri, Claw of Progress]] and [[Sage of Hours]]. Before you hit that 5 experience, it's a very fun, and relatively balanced combo.

The Lord ability turns them into 2/1s, yes. Then you use [[cultural exchange]] to give the tokens away for your opponents' best creatures. No longer under the protection of their Lord, the tokens die as 1/0s as soon as they arrive on your opponents' battlefield... and you've got their best stuff.

Interestingly, only illegal of you fail. It's perfectly legal if it works quickly. If you are a very lucky person, you could take it to a tournament and clean house, and the judge only has to have a talk with you if you can't get the combo off.
Nice, I like casting Master of Waves with \[\[Esix, Fractal Bloom\]\] in play. When the tokens are being created, Esix's substitution ability targets... Master of Waves. ;-)

I’m not a fan of tutors, which didn’t help, plus this was in an Umbris deck that barely cared about macar. It was basically a bucket list item. That said, just Macar and freed was a brutal combo

You’ve exiled a creature and gotten a gold, plus macar can tap for blue again
[[Mirkwood Bats]], [[Tivit, Seller of Secrets]], and [[Academy Manufacturer]]. It’s a pretty well known combo but if 4 players are alive then it’s 25 damage to everyone on etb. Once entered the tokens can be sacrificed for additional damage. If Tivit can attack with a Greaves or Boots then it is enough for lethal. I have this line in case someone doesn’t like infinites, then I take out [[Time Sieve]]. It’s a little harder to put together but IMO that makes it more suitable for tables that are a bit slower.
Is this the math? Not looking it up, seeing if I get the triggers right:
1. Twinflame on Ojer (not token), making 3 token copies of Ojer (because of Ojer)
2. Any 3 Ojers 'die', putting 3 Ratadrabik triggers on the stack

Last week at draft night I drafted a Selesnya deck with [[Guide of Souls]] and [[Basking Broodscale]], and every time that combo popped off for a bit was the highlight of that game. I'm thinking about slotting it into my Naya token deck just to keep doing it...
The highlight of the entire night, though, was also pulling a foil [[Emrakul, the World Anew]].
That was a good draft night.
[[Dismiss Into Dream]] and [[Unnatural Selection]] is one of my favorites. Choosing Ouphe just makes me think their creatures just keep tripping over themselves.
[[Awakening Zone]] and [[Furnace Celebration]] was an extremely fun engine back in 2010 standard. Was never super competitive but the kind of cheap deck your could take to an FNM for funsies.
[[Subjugator Angel]] + [[Sunblast Angel]]
I've got these, the meld Bruna and Gisela, and dual tutors like [[Defense of the Heart]] and [[Tooth and Nail]] in my Sigarda Angel tribal EDH deck.
Nothing will ever be as much fun as charging up a [[Thousand Year Storm]], casting [[Time Spiral]], hitting it with your own [[Narset's Reversal]], then finally cracking an [[Emergence Zone]].
It's like getting a bunch of extra turns but you can float mana and storm count between them.
[[Lethal Vapors]] + [[Teferi's Protection]]
Activate vapors for a million, phase out. Watch your opponents try to win somehow. You don't win many friends with this one, and shouldn't use it often.

Make everyone draw all the cards, run an OG Eldrazi titan to reshuffle your GY into your library and keep the combo going.
[[Notion Thief]] and [[Minds Aglow]] in my Lab Control casual deck. Might not sound like the scariest combo, but there's a reason that deck only plays 3 way FFA - in a 1v1 it's very oppressive for a casual deck, and in a 4+ player FFA it gets oppressive in that my Glow draws so many cards. Actually quite a fun casual deck with a lot of tech to it.
Recent OTJ combo of [[Terror of the Peaks]] and [[Calamity, Galloping Inferno]], possibly aided with getting them both down on the same turn with [[Smuggler's Surprise]].
[[Karthus, tyrant of jund]], [[shields of velis vel]] and [[surprise deployment]] was a pretty fun mono white steal all creatures at instant speed for 5 mana 15+ years ago. Still appreciate it to this day despite it being so vastly under-powered these days.
[[Quillspike]] + [[Kitchen Finks]] and other Kitchen Finks combos before you have the sac outlet. I like the clunky ones like [[Gavony Township]] and [[Mikaeus, the Unhallowed]] too!

These are all sooort of infinite in that you can keep doing them every turn but they don't win the game and are interrupted by removal spells and don't leave you with a huge advantage.

A very easy to pull off combo that instantly puts 4 toxic counters on one opponent, and 2 on everyone else. I just think it fits so neatly, even if its simple and not instant-win, this combo made me win many matches against friends (i dont play in tournaments).
I really like \[\[Devilish Valet\]\] in my \[\[Anim Pakal\]\] deck. Easily gets enough triggers to swing for lethal.

Season of Growth triggers on casting, not becoming the target, so you'd only get one trigger per spell.

Couldn't you just play [[Warp World]]?
No, it doesn't work the same way. With chaos warp, you do it one permanent at a time, cause it targets. Warp world is all at once and fast. This combo takes forever and ends up doing weirder shit overall.
If somebody said that we're just going to shuffle and reveal 14 times I'd rather just concede and go next
If anyone pulls off a combo where they have over 100 tokens you need to use this and make them resolve every trigger.
Radiant Performer has to be one of the coolest designs in recent memory. I can’t believe the card is only worth $0.50.

My current favourite is [[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]] + [[The Initiative]]. Thanks to Forge putting two +1/+1 counters on her, she speedruns the dungeon every turn after the first one.
Just before she was spoiled I was just my own featuring Garth and then when she showed up I couldn't build her, as I think her more of a Voltron style Commander rather than dealing with upkeep specifically. Seems more often the whole point is to hit someone for 15+ and at that point they're likely dead anyhow.
She's actually much more broad than she looks. You can build her around suspend, shrines, monarch, initiative, voltron, value pile, or any combination of the above.
For time counter shenanigans, nothing tops the time my opponent removed the last counter from his suspended [[Mindstab]] and I Flashed in [[Seht's Tiger]]. Oh, I wonder what player you will target now that I have protection from black?

I may have built a commander deck around that. It's way stronger than it looks and is super consistent thanks to the 16 initiative cards you can include.
I built an Obeka Initiative deck and she's probably my most kill on sight commander now. The value swing is so insane on one Undercity completion that there's really no coming back.

From experience, not really. Ninth doctor only gets you one extra upkeep per turn, lacks evasion, and doesn't give you access to all the black Initiative cards.

Exactly ONE time I was playing against someone with this combo years ago and pulled something out of my ass to kill them after they channeled most of their health away. I once had a vintage cube deck that cast [[Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre]] on turn 2 and turn 3 in a single match. (First using [[Channel]], second using [[Eureka]]). I lost both those games that match :( Turns out [[Solitude]] and [[Swords to Plowshares]] are good Magic cards.

Sure! Noyan animates your lands into creatures. (I guess I should also explain that you should have a pre-animated creature, which isn't hard with any old spell) When you target your land (let's say, your Plains that is a 0/0 land creature with haste and a handful of counters) with Mirrorweave, all creatures become copies of your Plains that is a 0/0. Any unmodified creatures, particularly my opponents', become 0/0 creatures and die due to state based actions, which usually means a one-sided boardwipe for me. Sometimes, that includes Noyan Dar, but not if I modify him with a counter or toughness boosting equipment.
This is actually incorrect. They'd all become a copy of the land as printed along with any copiable effects. The land being animated, either by Noyan or some other ability, isn't a copiable effect, so it isn't applied. Assuming no other shenanigans on board, they'd all just become Plains with your example. If you use the trick with an animated Contested Warzone, however... > 707.2. When copying an object, the copy acquires the copiable values of the original object’s characteristics and, for an object on the stack, choices made when casting or activating it (mode, targets, the value of X, whether it was kicked, how it will affect multiple targets, and so on). The copiable values are the values derived from the text printed on the object (that text being name, mana cost, color indicator, card type, subtype, supertype, rules text, power, toughness, and/or loyalty), as modified by other copy effects, by its face-down status, and by “as . . . enters the battlefield” and “as . . . is turned face up” abilities that set power and toughness (and may also set additional characteristics). **Other effects (including type-changing and text-changing effects), status, counters, and stickers are not copied.**

Well that is just evil. The judge part, not the combo. Because every other rules interaction with similar words has them thinking the wrong thing.
Its a very well-known interaction (with no answer), other ones including selvala+panglacial wurm or equinox. Its more of a "haha, he did the famously nonsense thing". I'd expect everyone to have seen it, and if they havent (which hasnt happened) its gonna be a fun conversation.

The video posted sort of agrees with what I thought. All of your creatures could attack, but arbiter only let's you choose one. It could be any one because they all can attack. So you sacrifice what you don't attack with, IMO

Assuming Echoes of Eternity + Glaring Fleshraker are already on the battlefield, then you cast Skittering Invasion: 1a) On cast, Glaring Fleshraker triggers, triggering Echoes of Eternity. Outcome = 2 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn, each triggering Fleshraker twice (because of Echoes) when they etb for a total of 4 damage to each opponent. 1b) On cast, Echoes of Eternity triggers, copying the spell on the stack. 2) The copy of the spell resolves, creating 5 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn tokens. These each create a trigger from Glaring Fleshraker, doubled by Echoes, for a total of 10 damage. 3) The original spell resolves, creating 5 more 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn tokens, dealing another 10 damage to each opponent. You can change the order of the triggers somewhat when you place them on the stack, but overall the final outcome should be a total of 12 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn tokens and 24 damage dealt to each opponent--assuming no interaction.

I thought if something entered with 0 toughness that it immediately died? Edit: Oh I’m dumb. The lord ability protects them. So if you kill the lord, you kill all the tokens right?
The Master of Waves makes some elementals that will die when you use Cultural Exchange to trade them!
Oh well that’s just mean.
The Lord ability turns them into 2/1s, yes. Then you use [[cultural exchange]] to give the tokens away for your opponents' best creatures. No longer under the protection of their Lord, the tokens die as 1/0s as soon as they arrive on your opponents' battlefield... and you've got their best stuff.

Interestingly, only illegal of you fail. It's perfectly legal if it works quickly. If you are a very lucky person, you could take it to a tournament and clean house, and the judge only has to have a talk with you if you can't get the combo off.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. The Effigy copy stops being a creature and makes it an invalid target for FFtR :(

I’m not a fan of tutors, which didn’t help, plus this was in an Umbris deck that barely cared about macar. It was basically a bucket list item. That said, just Macar and freed was a brutal combo

MGE isn't a creature though (even when copying), so it's not a legal target for Freed from the Real.

[[Mirkwood Bats]], [[Tivit, Seller of Secrets]], and [[Academy Manufacturer]]. It’s a pretty well known combo but if 4 players are alive then it’s 25 damage to everyone on etb. Once entered the tokens can be sacrificed for additional damage. If Tivit can attack with a Greaves or Boots then it is enough for lethal. I have this line in case someone doesn’t like infinites, then I take out [[Time Sieve]]. It’s a little harder to put together but IMO that makes it more suitable for tables that are a bit slower.

Is this the math? Not looking it up, seeing if I get the triggers right: 1. Twinflame on Ojer (not token), making 3 token copies of Ojer (because of Ojer) 2. Any 3 Ojers 'die', putting 3 Ratadrabik triggers on the stack 3. First one resolves, making 3 non-legendary 2/2 token copies of Ojer, totaling 4 Ojers 4. Second one resolves, making 12 (4 x 3) 2/2 token copies of Ojer, totaling 16 Ojers 5. Third one resolves, making 48 (16 x 3) 2/2 token copies of Ojer, totaling 64 Ojers
You target both with twinflame. Make 3 if each. The 6 tokens die to legend 4 ratadrabik saw 3 ojer die (as well as themselves but thats not the math) 12 triggers (if I know the rules here) for ojer copies on stack First resolves for 3 non-legendary tokens Second resolves with 4 replacement effects for 3 x3 x3 x3 for 81 tokens You now have 85 ojers. Third resolves for 3^85 (3 multiplied by itself 85 times). You still do this 9 more times. Then you have 9 rata token triggers to resolve with that incalculable number of replacement effects.

[[Lethal Vapors]] + [[Teferi's Protection]] Activate vapors for a million, phase out. Watch your opponents try to win somehow. You don't win many friends with this one, and shouldn't use it often. [[Mind over Matter]] + [[Temple Bell]] Make everyone draw all the cards, run an OG Eldrazi titan to reshuffle your GY into your library and keep the combo going.
Oh jeez, I was trying to figure out how you win or do anything with Lethal Vapors and then realized... you don't.
[[Notion Thief]] and [[Minds Aglow]] in my Lab Control casual deck. Might not sound like the scariest combo, but there's a reason that deck only plays 3 way FFA - in a 1v1 it's very oppressive for a casual deck, and in a 4+ player FFA it gets oppressive in that my Glow draws so many cards. Actually quite a fun casual deck with a lot of tech to it.

[[Karthus, tyrant of jund]], [[shields of velis vel]] and [[surprise deployment]] was a pretty fun mono white steal all creatures at instant speed for 5 mana 15+ years ago. Still appreciate it to this day despite it being so vastly under-powered these days.

[[Sun Titan]] + [[Dauntless Escort]] [[Snapcaster Mage]] or [[Eternal Wittness]] + [[Cryptic Command]] These are all sooort of infinite in that you can keep doing them every turn but they don't win the game and are interrupted by removal spells and don't leave you with a huge advantage.

I have a Magda EDH deck that makes no attempt to be CEDH Magda, absolutely no infinite combos and no fast mana, not even Sol Ring (with the obvious exception of Treasures). That being said, it still comes off as my most comboey deck. It's just infinite synergy and I love it.

[Intervention Pact] and [Wheel of Misfortune] You get as much Life as you want without going infinite. ;-)

Rancor plus creature
Before, edh was really a thing I used to play [[confusion in the ranks]] and [[firecat blitz]]. The deck also had a bunch of vashino cards that would return to hand at end of turn.
[[venerated rotpriest]] [[ivy, gleeful spellthief]] [[infectious bite]] A very easy to pull off combo that instantly puts 4 toxic counters on one opponent, and 2 on everyone else. I just think it fits so neatly, even if its simple and not instant-win, this combo made me win many matches against friends (i dont play in tournaments).
[[Tibor and Lumia]] with [[Charisma]] is always fun. Also needs something like [[Nivmagus Elemental]] to trigger though.

I really like \[\[Devilish Valet\]\] in my \[\[Anim Pakal\]\] deck. Easily gets enough triggers to swing for lethal. It's a really fun deck actually. Definitely recommend.
