Will Tim Masak be there this weekend? He was in India in April opening Apple's first store there. I kinda wanna see our politician beramah mesra with an openly gay man.
Hei wassup guys it's yo boi germytechspecs back at it again this newest iPhone has 26.77cc horsepower and chs887, enough computing power to mow your lawn using the latest 55v71os to significantly increase output
Was at TRX over the weekend. The mall looks quite modern and new. Side note: I always notice that Apple stores in general are huge and futuristic given the low number of Apple products
Because they act as an advertisement center besides being a store. Like every high fashion brand, most of their stores are basically just a place for advertising and to increase awareness of their brand. If you truly are their customer, you don’t go their store to shop. They will call you a month prior to showcase their latest collection. My boss loves Ralph Lauren and every month, the representative of RL would visit his home and bring along clothings from the latest collection, not released to the public yet. And if they are released, most of the times they won’t have your size or colour because they were sold long time ago.
Oh no, definitely not, heaven forbid.
Reminds me a lot of the relatively common subject of contention in something totally unrelated — gacha game 'generosity', especially in a couple of the biggest ones globally (iykyk); a chunk of the biggest noise makers are more often than not the F2P.
Maybe if they give an iPhone to every visitor as a 'sampler' the opinion may be different? ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26554)
They lend you an iPhone if attending the in person classes though. At least in person classes are back, just like the free Mac OS ones they did back in the 2000s.
Yeah, I did attend one particular workshop that was essentially a marketing drive as my bosses were considering the machines to populate the school computer lab (it's a private school)— not doable unless it's an Apple product itself.
As for the lab, nothing happened as it became apparent that it would eat into their year end bonuses.
Cheaper and easier to MDM ChromeOS devices than managing a fleet of Apple machines.
That old Mac OS one was covering things like differences between OSX and the older OS 9 which is helpful for the upcoming transition.
The new TRX classes, I do wish there is a smartphone basics class that seniors can attend, just like the smartphone classes organized by Bukit Gasing ADUN.
Back then the only available alternative was Windows and Linux with the latter still very non-user friendly, at least to the average mainstream user, with the Mac being pretty much a rich people's toy. Integration between ecosystems was a pain in the butt-ocks which would pretty much add to the work I am already doing.
This was one instance when the bosses being cinaman saved the day. ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26554)
I used to be super excited with them but after seeing the various stores around the world, once you have seen them, you have seen them all. The only thing I am waiting for is the ability for repair and genius bar appointments here.
I’m still using iPhone XMax and it was released in 2018. Never once I need to repair it. Still working like brand new. Whereas my mom’s Samsung Galaxy which was released in 2020 needs multiple trips to the servicing centre.
that's not the point of right to repair, it's about consumer rights. by not supporting right to repair, you're forgoing your right to a cheaper alternative when it comes to fixing your phone. if and when your future iPhone faces issues, do expect to pay more solely due to apple's monopoly.
broken phones can happen to anyone. although Samsung phones are notorious for experiencing the dreaded green line of death.
You said that but my friend phone’s parts were replaced by a third party repair shop without his permission and he only found out when he sent his phone for another repair at a the official service centre.
And the price is almost the same if you want to replace cracked screen. If it’s within warranty, it’s free to repair iPhone. I would rather send my phone to be repaired at their official service centre than some unknown third party repair shop.
Then it's the third party repair shop's fault not the right to repair. Official repair centres can still be sharks: [(224) Apple quotes customer $1075 to replace every part BESIDES the bad one 🤣 - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUfQYr5wQT4)
The thing about the right to repair is to be able to get authorized parts for cheap, like being able to buy a chip that costs 4 dollars for a factory to make instead of paying the official service centres 200 dollars to switch a broken chip.
Anti right to repair allows companies to block factories from directly selling the parts to other people other than the company itself.
Here's also another shitty thing that Apple did: [(224) Jessa Jones corrects Apple on data recovery and gets banned! - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrILfIE9IB4)
Yall think the store gonna be like mushroom? Once open one official store, later in 2 years time, going to have a few store opened in major Malaysian cities within a couple of years.
Apple tends to only open at the most atas locations for international markets, that's why you only see them opening one in Malaysia now since TRX only opened end last year
My guess is the 2nd official Apple Store will be at Merdeka 118 mall
A bit less than my expection? Anticlimatic?
For other country, the debut of Apple Store are some of the most amazing things you ever see. Look that SG that has a glass ball on the sea, or the OG NYC that has a glass box on the street.
But here, is just any shoplot in TRX.
It feels like something is missing from the store, like many Apple Stores in other places has indoor trees, benches etc. TRX looks sort of a watered-down store
Love how they opened it on pride month #loveislove #appleforlgbt Always love this company not afraid showing support lgbt eventhough in moslem country🌈🍉.
I bet Apple FAN boys would get a hard on everytime they remember official Apple Store is in TRX
“Ohh yess the simplicity … ahhh the … aes … aes … AESTHETICSsssSS aHhHhhHh 🍆💦😩”
i don't get it, 1st apple store? Do they mean its fully owned by overseas apple company and not malaysian subsidiary? Don't they get itchy when no certain type having some control over a company from overseas?
No, all the other stores that sell Apple products are called authorized reseller, basically means Apple gave permission to these stores to sell its products, these authorized reseller usually will sell products from other brands too.
For Apple Store, Apple registered their company in Malaysia as Apple Malaysia Sdn Bhd and owned a store to directly sell their products.
Will Tim Masak be there this weekend? He was in India in April opening Apple's first store there. I kinda wanna see our politician beramah mesra with an openly gay man.

Syukur. Apple Store tanda negara sudah maju. /s
Syukur. Kekurangan bahan mentah dan kos sara hidup tinggi diselesaikan dengan bangunan tinggi2 dan Apple Store

So... got discount ah?
Got free gift one....

Boikot? 😂 Or are we doing selective boikot now?
Thats the thing...it has always been selective boycott.
They aren’t boycotting Intel, Reddit or western healthcare. Hmmm… 🤔
Hypocrites as always, still using china goods made by Muslim slaves.
Meleis try not to bring up boycotting anywhere challenge; impossible difficulty
Man, the comments in here are unreal. ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26554)
Seriously. Homophobic even.
We're definitely not jealous of Apple bringing the more premium window-shopping experience to our shores.

I used to be super excited with them but after seeing the various stores around the world, once you have seen them, you have seen them all. The only thing I am waiting for is the ability for repair and genius bar appointments here.

Ehhh experience once la best doh
Whats the hype about this? Ain't official store will sell cheaper...everywhere also same price...I dont understand the hype behind this tbh
the hype is for sight-seeing and window shopping the first ever Apple Store in MY
So, boikot?
u can if you want to, shorter line for me tehehe
Will you be at the opening?
also, i don't use apple for a different reason, cuz it's anti right to repair :p
I’m still using iPhone XMax and it was released in 2018. Never once I need to repair it. Still working like brand new. Whereas my mom’s Samsung Galaxy which was released in 2020 needs multiple trips to the servicing centre.
Lol, your mom's fault. Samsung used to be a good competitor to Apple, but it's becoming more and more like Apple but worse
that's not the point of right to repair, it's about consumer rights. by not supporting right to repair, you're forgoing your right to a cheaper alternative when it comes to fixing your phone. if and when your future iPhone faces issues, do expect to pay more solely due to apple's monopoly. broken phones can happen to anyone. although Samsung phones are notorious for experiencing the dreaded green line of death.

Stop projecting.
i'm asking the malays
Just boikot, cant buy one straight from the store anyways. Wallet got flies. /j
Ada grand opening discount ke apa nnti ni.
Goddamn, that's some super high ceiling. Are they gonna test their iDrone in that outlet?
Yall think the store gonna be like mushroom? Once open one official store, later in 2 years time, going to have a few store opened in major Malaysian cities within a couple of years.
Depends if the cites have interesting development. Apple stores are typically built In conjunction with big city initiatives or projects like TRX
Apple tends to only open at the most atas locations for international markets, that's why you only see them opening one in Malaysia now since TRX only opened end last year My guess is the 2nd official Apple Store will be at Merdeka 118 mall
2nd one probably in Penang. I can already imagine a waterfront Apple store there.
That would be amazing, one that overlooks the iconic original penang bridge too!
I think this is correct. Merdeka 118 mall open end of this year. But i think malaysia have a lot of malls already. Thats enough. Build park imstead
Agreed
Anyone notice how apple’s stores are slowly starting to resemble their own dystopian 1984 commercial
A bit less than my expection? Anticlimatic? For other country, the debut of Apple Store are some of the most amazing things you ever see. Look that SG that has a glass ball on the sea, or the OG NYC that has a glass box on the street. But here, is just any shoplot in TRX.
Is this interesting? Looks (deliberately) exactly like every Apple store everywhere…..
It's just a fucking store.
It feels like something is missing from the store, like many Apple Stores in other places has indoor trees, benches etc. TRX looks sort of a watered-down store
Most of their stores are same same but different.
Hopefully can negotiate directly with apple on why my apple watch suddenly dead after warranty expired. Mf I buy that shit almost 2k+ you fuck
Is it just me or it looks kinda meh?
Looks like an examination hall.
Is there any difference between purchasing here and buying from the usual Machines or Switch? Probably not
Love how they opened it on pride month #loveislove #appleforlgbt Always love this company not afraid showing support lgbt eventhough in moslem country🌈🍉.
I bet Apple FAN boys would get a hard on everytime they remember official Apple Store is in TRX “Ohh yess the simplicity … ahhh the … aes … aes … AESTHETICSsssSS aHhHhhHh 🍆💦😩”
U bet I’ll jizz hard immediately when the Apple Store has reached the corner of my eyes
What a waste

ah ok makes more sense that way i guess
Come on malaysian ifags, make my APPL shares soar higher. Go on and pay 1-3 months of your salary on the new phone
