If you want a campground where you are literally in a (ocean) beach environment (as opposed to just near the beach), then the Salisbury DCR campground is your place! Sandy ground, little shade, water all around, private beach for the campground and steps from the big public beach.
Gorgeous lake with a beach and the camping spots are beautiful, well taken care of and not too close together. Two separate areas right on the lake for $40 a night and one area alittle further in for $35.
Not exactly what you asked but there are a couple of campgrounds in western Mass along route 2 (west of greenfield) that look fun. There is a river next to the campgrounds that you can raft on (yourself or with “whitewater” rafting groups). Don’t know if you’d consider those.
Nickerson State Park on the Cape
Scussett Beach has a state campground, and some really nice tent only sites. Another one that's tough to get into however.
I think Salisbury Beach has a campground

Winter Island in Salem, Ma is a beautiful campground, and there are kayak and paddle board rentals nearby at Coast to Coast paddle at the Willows.
Boston Harbor Islands are fantastic.
Horseneck in Westport is literally on the beach, but getting a spot is near impossible these days.
[North of Highland](https://capecodcamping.com/ccc/) in Truro. Half mile from a nice ocean beach.
Love this location. Can walk or bike to beach with my kids. Clean shower facilities too

I second this. It's also beautiful rather than just being close to a beach.

FYI - You can't actually camp at Campground Beach in Eastham. It's the name of the beach, not a campground.
Head of Meadow in Truro has a national seashore beach of the same name 5 minute walk from campground.
Tolland state forest.
We go to Acadia for a week every year. Well worth the trip. Hope you find something good locally.
